Felze Zeng decided that Ryloth wasn't exactly his favorite planet. A desert planet with vicious heat and terrible weather, with most of the populations living underground, it all seemed very depressing. Most of the beings in the cantina were locals, who for the most part didn't seem to eager to talk to him, and as for the non-locals, spice addicts and slavers mostly, weren't exactly the kind of people he wanted to talk to. Maybe he was just in the wrong part of town.
What exactly did you expect from hitching a ride with a spice smuggler? he thought to himself. At least the people here gambled, and he had to admit that dancing girls here weren't too bad at all, though they couldn't compare to the carafels of Zeltrons. Then again, very few beings did. Sometimes he wondered why he ever left home. It had been for the adventure of course, and he had to admit that he had had some good ones, just not any recently.
He raised the glass to his lips and drained its contents in one gulp. If there was one thing the people did here other than gamble, it was drink, and it had not been hard for him convince one of the wealthier-looking patrons into having a drinking contest. His opponent was no slouch however, and there now lay an impressive number of empty glasses in front of each of them.
Felze smiled and licked his lips. "Your turn."

Lucky had just finished a spice run, but for the next job she needed a special type of talent. Of all the places on Ryloth she had to come here? Even as a Twi'lek she shone trough with outsider. It was the way she dressed, the way she moved and the way she displayed pride.
She went to the owner of the joint and had a muffled speak, Listening in would be near impossible with the banging of glasses, loud discussions and singing. And then there was the band.
The owner shook his head, A credit ship was given. That made him talk like a waterfall. She liked that about Ry'leth, Moust things could be bought.
She know knew of a possible partner in crime, sadly his kind always attracted attention one way or the other.
She started to walk towards the table where Felze Zeng was sitting. She is Redskinned with Orange eyes, over 1'70 meters tall she has a brown cloak hanging from her sholder. Covering her rigth arm. The long laced boots stands out on the fligthsuit, and her vestment holds some tools from a larger sett. Her lekku's lies behind her shoulders.

His opponent slumped over on the table. That last class had been too much for him. Thanking his two Zeltron livers, Felze stood up and collected his winnings from the bet, as the small crowd that had formed around them during the contest slowly dispersed.
As he sat back down, he noticed that there was however one who had not left. It was a red-skinned twi'lek female, though definitely not one of the dancers, judging by her figure and clothing.
"So... can I help you?"

As the crowd dispersed she could see what the fuzz was about. A futile drinking contest. A scoundrel making money, He looked up a bit pussled perhaps?
A fair question, Lucky prodded the drunk of the table and took his chair. Crossed her leggs and put a blaster in front of her, pointing at no one in particular. It was business time, and she wasn't the play around type.
"You might be interested to know, that I can get you off this rock..." She looked around, made sure people minded their own drinks. "But nothing is free. Now I heard a vague suggestion that you, might be useful..." She served herself a drink, but not to to play. "I am "Lucky", Captian of the Runnig Rancor. And I got a job. If you are half as useful as said, there might be a job for you. Who ever you are?"
She was ballsy, perhaps too ballsy. But given that he had just won a game and made fair on it, she reckoned it was a gamble she could handle.
Now lets see how he handles the change of situation...

"So you're lucky, eh? Seeing as you've got a ship, I'm not gonna argue with that. Got a name?"
Taking another glass, he downed the beverage with one large gulp. Putting down the glass, he extended a hand. "Call me Felix Redd." In the slicing community, that was his most commonly-used alias. Very few slicers used their real names, given the often shady nature of their jobs. He even had the fake ID to go with it, as well as those for several other alias stashed away elsewhere.
"That depends on the kind of job, doesn't it?" he said, leaning back in his seat while flipping a coin over to the bartender. "If you want a fighter you're probably better off asking one if the iridorians in that booth over there." He inclined his head in their general direction. "But I guess you probably knew that already.... So,... what kind of job are ya thinking?"

"My name is Lucky, I said so Mr. Redd" She took a hit of the gass, stuff was nasty. They always were nasty. "My Employer, Lets call him Mr. Corp. Needs a specific protocol droid. I know its location but its out of my reach. Its in a automated factory warehouse, See the problem? Risk involved is unknown. Earnings 30/70, Interested?" She leaned back, and looked at this... What ever he was. It didn't matter. If he took the job, now that mattered. She hadn't played Team in two years, she hoped he knew how to stay out of trouble.

"So it is," he muttered, figuring that anyone who called themselves Lucky would be either actually very lucky or a huge idiot. But this woman seemed to know what she was talking about, so he hoped that it would be the former.
"I need a ride offa this planet. Throw that in and we just might have a deal. Anything I should about this droid?"

Wow... "Then we have a accord." This person was either desperate or wherry smart. She smiled, no haggling over price suited her well. "Ill give you the proper rundown at my ship, Dock 23C. I expect you are ready to leave by Sundown." There was no nonsense and formalities by this. She hoped if they managed to get the job done fast, there would be a bonus.

Felze raised an eyebrow. "I said might, not 'yes miss I'm perfectly willing to jump into this headfirst without knowing any specific details,' ya got that?" Without the essential details, it was impossible for him to gauge the difficulty or danger of the mission, and thus impossible to calculate an exact rate. "But don't worry, even if we don't sign a deal, I won't betray your information. Standard code of conduct for folks in my line of work," he said with a smile and wink. "See you in a few then." Standing up, he flipped the bartender another credit chip and headed towards the door. He had rented a small room a few buildings away and he needed to gather his equipment.

*New scene: Aboard the Flying Rancor* Back at the Running Rancor "Lucky"Fierd up a Hologram of the hunted, a black with a green hue plated EVE-1B Model. She waited for her kin in crime.
A protein energy and nutritions bar with flavor were munched, Food they called it. Bah! At least she had a cup of Javajuice to wash it away with.

Returning to the small room that he had rented, Felze began to gather up his equipment. There wasn't much. He didn't have many possessions and the room was only sparsely furnished. He spent most of his time outside anyway, whether it was to drink and gamble or do the occasional odd job, like when some farmer couldn't get his moisture vaporators working.
In one corner of the room was a small box where he kept his most valuable possession: his computer. Every slicer had their own small portable computer. Felze's computer was, like any other slicer's, unique, a patchwork of parts and containing various programs, tools, and utilities that he had written or otherwise obtained throughout the years, constantly updated, ever-changing.
"Well old boy," he said to it as he carefully placed the computer inside its padded bag, "Looks like there'll be something for you to do real soon." He smiled. Whatever the job was, it probably beat fixing moisture vaporators and the like.
After grabbing a bite to eat, Felze headed towards the docking bay to meet with his potential employer.

Lucky heard the tip tap of footpads coming up the hatchway, she was ready to draw if she had too but there was no need for that. It was her companion in crime. "Your quarters would be at starboard side, all the way starboard. 3 bunks free at your disposal should you choose to stay." She hit the a side panel button and the hatchway closed up. "Welcome aboard the running rancor." She pointed to the Holoprojector in the middle room. "Now this way, for the presentation."

"Nice ship you got here," Felze commented when he boarded. He kept his stuff with him though when she told him of the bunks. "I'll wait until I get the mission details before settling in, thank you."
Following her to the middle room, he sat down and took out his datapad. "Alright, I'm ready. Show me what we're getting into."

"Yes, as you can see on the holo', This is the Droid we are after. Its a modified EVE-1B Model protocol droid. It contains a unique prototype program; BlossomHutt. The purpose of this program does not concern us and is located in a small private owned storage facility on Mygeeto. Mr. Corp want us to retrieve the program without damage or data corruption."
She smiled, questions were sure to come, as she had only scratched the surface of the topic.

Felze raised an eyebrow. There was still a lot that he needed to know. She definitely was not telling him everything. As far as he was concerned, he would have to know what this program BlossomHutt did if he was going to have to retrieve it, but he was pretty sure that if he asked right now he wouldn't get an answer.
"So... what's stopping you from going into this storage facility yourself?" he finally asked. "Where do I fit in this picture?"

Lucky sat down and crossed her legs. A push on the button changed the holo picture to a satellite picture. it marked a building on the surface.
"This is the warehouse, owned by Reeto Dio. Local Rodian. Tech specialist with crime connections. His warehouse will likely have automated defense, in form of coded doors with booby traps, homemade or modified guard droids and various other I cant think of. Your job will be to disable, sabotage or counter the defense systems and locate the exact location of the droid. I don't know if you think its best to steal the entire droid or just slice into its programming and steal the HuttBlossom program."
She sighted as the picture changed to show the Rodian. "We have precious little intelligence on Reeto and his warehouse, We might have to infiltrate his circle ourselves."

Felze reached for his canteen and took a long swallow. It was some alcoholic beverage that he didn't even know the name of, not that it really mattered to him. It was strong, and that was all he needed to know.
"Alrighty. If that's all you got, then I guess we'd better get going. If you get all the info you've got onto my datapad, that'd be appreciated." Standing up, he started to move his belongings to his quarters. He needed to analyze all the info he could, and probably update a few of his programs and utilities.
Felze smiled. As much as he liked merely sitting around gambling and drinking, he did enjoy getting challenging work once in a while.
(( Unless you've got something else you want me to do, I'd say that this is the last post for Felze in this thread. Time to take off and go ))

Lucky made her way to the bridge and slumped down into her chair. She used the comm to contact the tower.
"This is The Running Rancor to ground Controll, My visit here is over. Do I have permission to Exit planet from 23C."
The rest was a small wait and bureaucracy. I t was always easier to leave a planet than to enter she figured. As when you left they wanted your space for the next ship. <<<Exit to Mygeeto>>>
((occ: I haven't made a new post for us on Mygeeto, as I don't know if we are in that battle thing.))
