Jahai sighed as she sat slouched in the Admiral's chair on the Flag-Bridge of the E.S.S Chimera and watched the E.S.S task force of nearly 70 ships form into a few battle groups and post up above the planet. Just a few hours before the Federated government of Mygeeto, E.S.S's clients, decided to throw more money at mercenaries, as if a fleet group of ESS warships was not enough. Not that they needed more defenses; any pirates, raiders, or ruffians that thought that they would cause reek havoc on the planet would be vaporized before you could say "FUBAR".
The Sith Empire kicking down their door would be the only real scenario that one would need more boots on the ground than they already had. Jahai had to admit it to herself, that scenario was growing more and more likely with every passing day. It was with this very possible scenario that Jahai convinced the Council of Admirals to send her for the planetary defense of Mygeeto, that and the planet was an economic power in the Outer-Rim area.
"Ms Suribachi, find out the status of the ground forces" Jahai said calmly, her forces were more or less deployed, the ground forces had to be entrenched by now. A few moments later the COMM officer proudly replied "If something comes-a-knocking everyone down there can and will be on station within 15 minutes." "Very good." Adm. Draken said while she swept her ice-blue eyes across the crew. Truth be told there wasn't a whole lot left to do other than screen incoming freighters and wait for all of the Mercs that were hired to check in.

Iriel let the hood slip from her head as she practically collapsed into a chair in her quarters on the Radiance. "Good morning miss, how was the meeting?" the soothing voice of willow and the sweet smell honey forced iriel's eyes to open slowly. She sighed slowly before smiling. "The same as it always is with the Mygeetin's willow exhausting, long, and tiring. Thank you." she said as the EVE droid handed her the warm mug of honey soaked tea. "This can't be good for your health." the motherly droid said as it pulled a blanket off a near by self and set next to Iriel draping the blanket over her. "Surely on of the corporate VPs can handle these meetings instead of you." she said placing a oddly warm hand ontop of Iriel's wrist. "No, I'm afraid the mygeetins won't talk to a VP and their contract is too important to lose. would you go over and tell captain Valens to take us to the Chimera once we lift off I'd like to visit Jahai before we return to Edessa." she said as she turned to look out the massive window showing the blowing snow and towers of mygeeto.
Slowly the sleek shining ship lifted from it's berth on the roof of the ESS sub building on mygeeto to arch gracefully into the sky. Heading toward the dreadnought Chimera up in orbit.

"1411 hours" the clock read as Jahai supported her chin with her palm. She literally watched the minutes slowly pass. Protection duty was galaxy renowned to be one of the most boring operation out there... yet they generally paid the highest due to the fact that they were almost always on a long-term basis. She glanced at the clock again, 1412 she rolled her eyes. "By the Force" Jahai thought, "could time be going by any slower?" When the words of Yokohai Suribachi, her COMM officer, rang in her ears.
"Ma'am... We have a ship requesting to dock" Suribachi paused, "It is the Radience!" the short woman exclaimed, slightly mispronouncing the tongue twister of a name.
"What are you waiting for, Ms Suribachi, Ms Valmor-Quiler does not need permission, it is but a formality." Jahai said in a as-a-matter-of-fact tone as she got up and walked to the turbo-lift door. "Finally, a friend to talk to." Jahai thought as she summoned the turbo-lift up to the bridge and within seconds the door slid open. "Shale, you have the bridge." she said non-chalantly as she walked into the small elevator room. "Aye-Aye, ma'am," Shale Gato managed to reply as the door slid closed.
Then Jahai was reminded why she hated turbolifts: They were made for utility, not for the comfort (or stomachs) of their passengers. Out of nowhere the compartment felt like it made a jump to light speed, and for the first few seconds her stomach shot into her brain. Of course, it only took a few seconds before the door to one of the outer corridors slid open, Jahai stepped out and headed for the airlock that was attached to Iriels ship.
Without a word Jahai walked to where she could greet Iriel as soon as she stepped aboard the Chimera.

Despite her tiredness Iriel nearly skipped down the ship to the air lock waiting some what impatiently for the air lock to open and willow her almost never separate companion to catch up. Despite Willow's still lagging pace as the air lock finally hiss open she rushed out and seized the shorter woman in a massive hug smiling for the first time in weeks. "Jahai, its so good to see a friendly face." she said squeezing the poor admiral tightly. "Oh, am I not friendly?" willow asked as the droid finally caught up. Iriel released Jahai from her grip as she slid around so see good see willow. "No, your perfectly friendly, but you also don't have a face." she said gesturing to the droid's almost helmet like head. "So, Jahai how have you been!" she said happily grinning at the woman despite the bags under her quick silver eyes.

When the airlock door opened Jahai began to say something to the effect of "I did not expect a surprise inspection, miss." But barely had time to say the first syllable of her little joke before the girl rushed out and seized her up in a giant bear-hug. The 45 year old woman squeezed back just as hard and replied "Same here." Jahai allowed a big smile break play across her face.
The woman almost gasped for air as Iriel released Jahai from the embrace. "I am going insane Iriel. You would be surprised at how maddening it is when all I have to talk to is that confused old XO of mine." she said with a small smirk. "You look tired," She said, looking into Iriel's silver eyes "Those Mygeetins didn't give you too much trouble did they?" she asked, now somewhat concerned

"How is that old warhawk anyway?" Iriel asked at the mention of the grizzled old executive officer of the Chimera. "I haven't see him in what three months? I think I need to go say hi" she gesturing to the bridge as she started walking. Iriel heard the concerned pitch to Jahai's post "I'm fine they're just...Insistent they wanted me to send four more dreadnoughts here, I managed to compromise by promising the Edessa and a battle group for home to work as the cavalry. So for a few days their appeased." she finished as the passed thought the hatch and into the turbolift. "Think we may have time for a meal together my friend." iriel asked holding the door open for willow as the droid slipped into the now rather crowded turbolift iriel sweetened the deal. "We could eat on the Radiant if you'd like."

"Shale? Hell, If Death ever gets the balls to take him it had better come in his sleep." Jahai joked as she stepped into the turbo-lift. "Mygeetins, paranoid bunch..." she sighed "I don't know what they are worried about, nothing short of the Sith Armada would have a chance of breaking through our lines." Jahai pressed the button labeled "C&C" when willow entered the turbo-lift. Just before the trademark "brain in butthole" feeling of ascending a warship on a turbo-lift ensued, Jahai replied to Iriel's earlier question. "I would like that, Iriel. The food on your ship has to be better than the sins against nature that our chefs dream up."
After a few seconds the door slid open to reveal the Flag-Bridge of the Chimera. Shale instantly stood up and greeted the two, saluting Iriel, it had been hard-wired into the man since he was a 17 year old Republic seaman. Nothing could help that. "Its been awhile, Ms Valmor~Quiler." He said a somewhat disturbingly curt tone of voice, well, it was only disturbing because the people who were constantly around him knew the man to be a gruff old man with the mouth of a sailor. He always tried to clean up his act around Iriel, whom his respect for was second only to Jahai.

"I'm sure the staff with think up something good." Iriel said as the turbolift began to slow. "Duck noodles of some kind, dear." Iriel glanced and looked a willow as the turbolift stopped. "Yes, thank you willow." she turned as the Turbolift doors slid open with a light hiss and the bridge was laid out bare before them. Iriel smiled at the sight of Shale standing stock strait and greeted her. Iriel strode right up to his chest. "How many times have I told you to call me Iriel or just Ms. Valmor?" she said with a wry grin before wrapping her arms around him. "I see no one has been crazy enough to shoot you yet?" she asked chuckling slightly as she let him go.

"Not enough, Ms Valmor~Quiler" Jahai's old XO said with a big grin as he half-heartedly hugged the girl back, the old man was still not used to hugging his boss, even though he had known her ever since Jahai saved Iriel all those years ago. "There isn't a man in the 'verse is that crazy." The older man retorted, letting a low pitched chuckle emit from his vocal cords "How long has it been, Ms Quiler? I don't think I can remember back that far." The old man said, pointing out his almost ancient level of experience considering his line of work.
Jahai walked over Iriel and Shale and asked the elder of the two in a half serious tone, "Did you forget to take your pills again, Gato?" she let a big smile slip through the facade, not being able to contain it for a moment longer. "How have you been faring lately, Iriel. I hope that the Council haven't been pestering you too much while I have been away." She said, Jahai had not been back to Edessa for a fairly long time, the long-term contract with Mygeeto kept her from so much as moving out of Orbit without a feeding frenzy planet-side.

Subtlety… Not an outstanding trait of the ESS Eclipse.
With an earth shattering BOOM, the behemoth of a ship made its arrival from hyperspace known, slowing to a steady glide as it approached Mygeeto. The hangar’s blast doors all already opening to make way for a squadron of Korlee’s finest to help guide the enormous carrier in. It was little more than a display of power in Korlee’s case however; the young captain always having a slight taste for the extravagant. A trait made evident by the lavish executive section of the ship.
By now the Chimera would have heard the familiar hale of a friendly ship, with the all-business tone of a male communications officer coming through. “ESS Chimera, this is the ESS Eclipse en route to Mygeeto and requesting safe passage.”
The Captain was of course listening in but not from the bridge. Instead, she sat comfortably behind her polished mahogany desk within her office, leaning back in her black leather armchair as she observed the exchange from a small laptop before her. It was all by the book stuff, so she hardly felt the need to take charge personally; content instead to tap her fingers rhythmically upon her desk as she admired the varieties of rare fish from her office’s aquarium.
“Boring, yet so much more cosy,” she muttered quietly to herself as thoughts of her once held Republic position came and went.

Iriel let out a fake sigh. "Well, I guess I'll just have to cut your pension again." she knew it was a empty threat like the old war dog would ever actually retire from this. "Well," she said thinking. "wow, probably three years now." Iriel smiled at jahai's jab before looking at her a moment with tired eyes before she ran a hand over her eyes. "The normal Jahai I came back from sick leave to find them trying to goad me into confronting the republic head on about their fleet regulations, but I've been avoiding that for the most part hopefully it'll simply blow over. It would.." Iriel broke off when she heard the comm rippled though the bridge. "Well it seems like commander lira has made her less than subtle entrance."

Jahai smiled "The Eclipse, I didn't know that she was slated to assist us in the contract..." she said while looking out of the view port at the gargantuan vessel. Any help was more than accepted, even if it was overkill. "Well, Ms Suribachi, are you going to answer the hale?" Jahai asked, slightly annoyed at the young woman. She instantly replied to the Eclipse and gave them permission to enter orbit. "Ms Suribachi, patch me through to Lira." Jahai ordered the young Asian woman, within a few minutes a comm was opened "Ah, Lira, I see that you are not one for subtlety." Jahai said with a wry smile

“Admiral Jahai on the line for you Captain,” Lira’s comm. Officer reported, to which she replied with an offhand, “Patch her through Lieutenant.”
Before the image on her laptop was overtaken by the striking image of Jahai Draken, Lira was quick to swipe up a random data pad off her desk -- feigning a glance at it as if she actually knew what she was holding. It looked like a systems report but, honestly, it could be the latest order for nukes and she wouldn’t care; just so long as it helped her retain the guise of doing some actual work.
After a moment however, she pretended to notice the Admiral with a gentle, “Oh,” turning to face those chilling crystalline-blue eyes before continuing, “Sorry sir, I didn’t see you there.” It wasn’t the best lie considering her race’s sight but still, who’s to say the Admiral knew anything of the Miraluka? Not that the bandage wasn’t a blind (Zing!) giveaway.
“I’m afraid it’s a little difficult to be subtle when you’re piloting a small city,” the Captain responded with a grin, nonchalantly placing the data pad back down now that it’d served its purpose.

Iriel stepped up beside jahai and half glared at the "blind" miraluka captain. "There is really no reason for you to pretend to work Lira we all know better than that." the young boss of the captain said as she placed her left hand behind her back. "Besides your a worse liar than Willow and shes a droid." Smiling at the captain she turned a winked at her droid once nurse maid now friend before looking at lira. "I don't know, the Edessa slips around quite easily and it's a fairly decent city it's self."

Jahai let her gaze rest on the Miralukan and smiled "Well, Mr. Korlee, Only you seem to have trouble with that one." she said, emphasizing the 'Mr.' in the sentence. "The Edessa could probably fly through a star if you handled her right, Iriel." Jahai joked as she pulled a lock of hair back behind her ear.
Instantly she heard her datapad beep, she snatched it up and tapped 3 buttons before placing it back in her pocket. "It is a good thing you came, Lira, these Mygeetins are getting antsier by the second."

The captain gave a small chuckle at the CEO’s remark about her lying; unaware she was apparently such an open book. It was her last comment about the Eclipse which actually caught the Captain’s attention however. “You can say that again ma’am,” Lira sighed, lighting a cig’ in her mouth as if to drive home the amount of stress which came with operating the Eclipse. “If it’s not the crew getting into a fight with the ground forces, it’s the ground force’s hating on the civilians, or the civilians ragging the crew; as well as vice versa.”
“And apologies Admiral. The honorific ‘sir’ is used for both men and women within the regular armed forces; no hard feelings, eh?” Of course the captain was speaking rhetorically -- with a hint of joviality in her own tone -- as it was evident the Admiral had already taken it light-heartedly. Allowing a puff of smoke to escape her lips she finished, “As for the Mygeetins… Well, if the Chimera and the Radiance can’t ease their minds; I doubt the Eclipse will do much.”

"Indeed I've had to sign the Edessa and it's small fleet as a relief unit." Iriel said shaking her head slightly as if to say the mygeetins were unreasonable, before letting a slow sigh out. "I'm afraid that if we're going to eat together Jahai we had best move soon I have to hit Edessa for a council of admiral's meeting and then be at Corrusant for a security bid tomorrow morning." she said yawning quitely. "Willow you can go ahead and return to the ship I'll be there soon."

"I know, this old Epicanthix was in the Republic Military before you were born. I know it is well above my rank, but I do enjoy joking with the Captains every once and awhile, Lira..." Jahai said with a slight grin "and please, its Jahai." She nodded at Lira's reply "I beg to differ, Lira, that three-thousand meter long steel monster you brought should go along way to easing there minds. If that coupled with the Edessa and the Chimera doesn't ease their minds, nothing short of the entire Republic fleet will."
Then she turned her attention to Iriel, who reminded her of the dinner that the girl promised. "Well, lets go then, I haven't gotten to eat anything all day." Jahai said, her stomach grumbling. As she was about to leave she turned back to Lira "Lira, go ahead 'n' take the three Leopold Carriers and go into orbit. I will be back on the bridge in one hour" she said, Lira would probably find a better use for them then Jahai could. Then looked back at Iriel "So what are you having cooked up?"

( Dire told me that this was the place to post. So... )
In Felze Zeng's line of work, information was worth far more than credits, and without more of it right now there were very few additional preparations he could make right now. He had gone through all of his programs, the result of years of coding and collected, made a few needed tweaks and updates.
And now, in his room on the Rancor, he just sat there. He was thirsty too. His canteen was empty and he didn't like drinking water. No gambling, no booze... boring! Idly, he took out his pair of lucky dice and rolled them across the table.
Six and five.
Scooping the dice back up, he tried again. Six and six this time. No, the dice weren't weighted, but for some reason for him they always seemed to show the right numbers. I wonder why... He had always been lucky. Sure, he lost from time to time but almost never on the big wagers. Best not think too hard and just accept it was a good thing.
Once again the dice rolled across the table. And once again twelve black pips stared up at him
Suddenly, he felt the ship exit hyperspace. Finally! He peered outside one of the windows at the ice covered planet of Mygeeto. I wonder what those huge ships are doing there...

This job for 'Mr.corp' was a needed one. Food stock was getting low, Hyper engine fuel was about 2/3ds spent. And When cashing this job she could get a co pilot droid or something.
The blurry stars slowed suddenly to a hold as they exited form hyper stellar flight with no accidents. She loved this fast ship.
The view however was trouble. Why were there a assembling fleet here? There was more than enough firepower here to boil a moon she figured.
Best fly casual...
The com sounded her voice. "Mr.Zeng to the bridge please."
