Name: Jeh’rad Verai'cal
Race: Epicanthix
Age: 75
Height: 1, 90 m
Weight: 95 kg
Appearance: Tall and muscular build. Tan scarred skin, adorned with tribal tattoos. His eyes are yellow. It seems someone has attempted to carve out his left eye, but apparently failed. He has long silver hair. Usually has a poker face on. He either wears black Jedi garbs or armour inspired by the mandalorian armour (though without helmet and gadgets and so on, and much weaker because of it’s increased mobility), also dark in colour, but with some silver surfaces. He seems to be in his mid 30'ies. Walks like a soldier, and constantly looks over his shoulder like a criminal. He usually speaks in a calm or demanding tone.
(This picture actually, does not reassemble Jeh'rad very well at all, but when I told a friend of my concept and so on, he said: ”That sounds like the guy from the Witcher!” ... Okay, he said the guys name, but I forgot. He gave me this picture and said I could use it... I guess they DO have a few things in common, so I am posting it anyways. Though, note that this guy is VERY pale and has no facial tattoos. Just found out I dunno how to post pics. so I'll leave a link for now)

Birth place: Panatha.
Faction: Jedi Order
Rank: Watchmen/Master/Gray Jedi
Bio:
Childhood:
Jeh’rad was lonely as a child. He and his family moved around a lot, because his father was a business man on Panatha. A few friends here and a few there. Always on the move.
Eventually his father decided to go on a “business trip”. The deal was that a crime lord on Panatha started gathering protection money from the local merchants. He went away waiting for the republic to deal with it. Only, the crime lord sent a bounty hunter after him. At the age of 6 Jeh’rad watched his father perish by the hand of a ruthless and cold bounty hunter. He remembers when the bounty hunter turned around and pointed the gun at his mother. He knew what was going to happen. But then, for the first time he saw what the force could do. The killer was knocked down by and invisible force and a Jedi charged forth to defend. The Jedi reflected a shot back at the immobile killer who then laid still. The Jedi turned around to see if they were okay, and while doing so, Jeh’rad watched as the bounty hunter raised his gun and aimed at the Jedi’s defenceless back. Somehow, the Jedi’s lightsaber went from his belt, to Jeh’rads hand, and Jeh’rad managed to deflect a series of bullets(poorly aimed, pretty much just a straight fire), ending up in front of the bounty hunter who was now out of ammunition, and very defeated.
The Jedi hadn’t realized that Jeh’rad was force sensitive until now. Jeh'rad also proved to have a very high medichlorian count, and it kept increasing as he trained.
Youngling:
Jeh’rads mother could never hope to raise Jeh’rad alone. She had to return home to her family and try to take over her husbands business. She needed to rebuild her life and offer Jed’rad a chance to have one himself. So she sent him to the academy for training. He was a bright student, but made only a handful really good friends. His greatest asset was lightsaber combat. It became his passion. He advanced very quickly in the shi-cho form but slower in the ways of the force. He was never behind, but when it came to the force, he was never the best of his class.
Padawan:
When he was 13 years old he was assigned to a Jedi guardian named Master Vanneris. A zabrak who mastered 3 forms (and was proficient in many more) at a very early age.
As time went by, Jeh’rad began working on his first lightsaber. At first, he started collecting ideas, by asking around. Most Jedi were glad to help him out, and let him take a look at their lightsabers and told him the how’s and why’s. Then several weeks later, he had a finished blueprint and started collecting parts, and as he got them, he made the casing of the lightsaber. Once he was done building that, he and his master set out to find a crystal and returned with a cyan colour crystal and a pontite focus crystal and several other crystals, which he didn’t use. He finished the lightsaber and started working with different forms of lightsaber combat.
Jeh’rad did not share his master’s passion for technique, but favoured specialization over complete mastery. He started learning another forms from his master, one that he found himself in harmony with. The ataru form. Of course, a little bit of this and a little bit of that managed to work itself into Jeh’rads line of expertise, but in the end, he decided to pick up on what he lacked when it came to the force, focussing on something he could use in duels with the ataru form. He became very good at body specific force powers and telekinetic abilities helping him to become more acrobatic and knock the enemy over while in combat, and suddenly being able to put the force to use, re-motivated him to work with the force and it’s different aspects.
While training, Jeh’rad was introduced to one of his masters closest friends, (Jah’red suspected they were either relatives or had once been in a relationship), who was also training a padawan, a Morganian named Jaina. Jaina and Jeh’rad fell in love, and started spending a lot of time together. They used excuses such as exchanging knowledge, which actually paid off. Jaina helped Jeh’rad become a better healer, and he helped her master the shi-cho form, and also helped her improve her lightsaber, which was a simple creation, to say the least. Jeh’rad’s and Jainas masters were quite aware of what was going on between the two of them, but choose to look the other way, mainly because they once had a relationship very similar to that of the two padawans. They eventually realized that it could not go on like that forever, and ended the relationship around the time when they both became knights, and at some level, they both believed Jaina and Jeh’rad would do the same.
Knight-hood:
Jeh’rad and his master were selected for several missions. Most of them, their mutual speciality taken into account, were likely to end in “aggressive negotiations”. Jeh’rad was used to a life of action. He was held in very high regard by the council, but they did fear that his passion for combat would lead him down dark path. However, they did trust him enough to grant him the title of knight on his 21st birthday. Jaina was also knighted shortly after, being one of the best healers that generation had seen. While, they had both intended to get more serious, as soon they had reached the status as knight, their relationship took a different turn. They couldn’t help themselves, and ended up spending all their spare time together instead of getting padawans. After living on a lie for 2 years, they finally decided to try and gain a padawan, and a youngling with great healing gifts was assigned to Jaina. Still, they were unable to stay apart, and Jeh’rad was responsible for the padawans lightsaber training, and thus used it as an excuse to stick around a little more than he should. Eventually, his master were selected to sit on the council, and knowing about Jeh’rad and Jainas relationship, he selected his apprentice to lead a strike-team of elite soldiers on rescue missions. They would have weekly missions, and would rarely return to the temple.
Jeh’rad grew darker. The war so many years ago left a galaxy in uproar, and so many systems were still hostile to the republic. So many leaders refused to join, afraid to lose power, and thus, Jeh’rad lived in the aftermaths of the war, and it left him scarred. Jaina, sought something to fill the gap, and started treating her padawan, much as if it was her child. This did not keep them apart however, because Jah’red would still come to see her when he could.
Prisoner:
Jah’red was 25 when he received a special mission from the council that would change his live. A republic transport ship was sending a distress signal from a moon marked as dangerous. The planet was inhabited by large sandworms, which moved underground and attacked from below. The mission required a Jedi, who could sense the worms and avoid them. His team landed at a nearby outpost to help them hold the line, while he would go to the moon. Only, he never returned. His master came to search for him, personally, and found nothing but the remains of Jeh’rad’s ship.
He returned, to the council, and reported that Jeh’rad had fallen prey to the worms on the planet, and then he resigned from the council, and started teaching younglings, how to use a saber.
The truth was, that the worms had died out long ago. The tyrant who ruled the system was an enemy of the republic and had Jeh’rads ship shot down, just like he had with the one that crashed on the planet. Jeh’rad was wounded, and alone, thus they took him out with ease and imprisoned him in a very primitive and uncivilized prison, that most would define as “hardcore”. It was more like a reservatory on another moon. Tribes that would not submit to the tyrant were captured and released onto here. At first, they picked Jeh’rad up everyday to torture him, and then threw him back into the prison, weak and weary, where he was easy pray for the many rival tribes that waged war on each other in there. He managed to survive because of his force powers, which eventually grew. Eventually, a tribe accepted him as a member, and hid him from the guards. His body was adorned with tattoos, as it was tradition for the tribe people and he avoided torture for six years, now being 32.
Dark-jedi:
Eventually when the republic forces was moving closer to the system, the guards picked up Jeh'rad and kept him in a cell and tortured him for information he did not have. They completely broke his spirit, but instead of turning him into a wreck, it turned him to the dark side. He fried the door to the holding cell with force lightning and escaped, killing everyone he met on his way out. This impressed most of the tribes, and he gave them an ultimatum. Either, they could join him, or face him. He inspired them and led them to freedom. He found out that it was impossible to contact the republic, because a space station controlled all communication. He could of course have tried to leave the system and contact the republic by other means, but the republic had not helped him, so he decided that he was through with it. Instead, he led a rebellion against the tyrant that lasted 5 years.
It was evident that he would face the tyrant eventually, and so he did. The tyrant turned out to be a dark Jedi, which explained how he could have kept his dictatorship a secret for so long. Jeh’rad had used a vibroblade similar to a katana as replacement for his lost lightsaber while in prison, which kept his skills from rusting away. However, just before the last stand, he had had a dogfight with an unusually talented pilot. After almost 30 min. Of intense air-combat, he shot the ship down, only to find that the dead pilot was carrying a red lightsaber. He looted this and used it in the battle against the tyrant. The system was united under one flag and joined the republic, being very fond of the Jedi and never wanting to be salves again. Of course, the Jedi council was dazzled but grateful for the news. Jaina and her padawan who was soon to be knighted set out to escort him back to the temple, where they would grant him the rank of master.
Watchman/master – Redemption and the gray zone:
While happy to be re-united, things had changed. Jeh’rad hated the Jedi. He hated the republic, and he wanted Jaina, to come away with him. They had a long dialog that could have ended so many ways, but in the end, Jaina managed to redeem Jeh’rad, more or less. He still had little left for the republic, and the Jedi, but realized that there was no better alternative. He became a grey Jedi. He council offered him a seat at the council, as replacement for a member who had recently passed away, but they only did so, because they knew he would refuse. Instead they granted him the rank of master and appointed him to be the watchmen of the system had had been a prisoner in.
He spend a great many years in solitude, exploring the system, looking for force sensitive’s, returning to the temple every 3rd month, and stayed for an entire month. He kept that pattern, and kept seeing Jaina, though their relationship had changed a great deal. They were more like friends now, as it should be. Closer to the goal.
Now, so many years later, Jah’red had returned to the temple to find a padawan to train.
Lightsaber:
Jah’red owns two lightsabers. He build one himself, and the other one was also originally created by him, but then remodified when he was captured, and then remodified once mre when he get it back. His first lightsaber is now red, and his last is cyan. They both have the same shape, with only a few superficial differances. The grip is devided in two, like Kyle Katarns second lightsaber (the blue one). The reserve energy cell is round, and the emitter is large, like Obi-wans first.
Red: The hilt is made up by black polished metal. It has an inscribtion of a famous dark-jedi philosphy(with much the same message as the sith-code). It holds a syntethic red crystal and a pontite focus crystal.
Cyan: The hilt is electrum covered. It has an inscribtion of the jedi-code. It holds a cyan crystal and a pontite focus crystal.
Features:
Both sabers are build upon the same concept, so they have almost the same abilities:
Functions underwater,
Dual-phase,
Length adjuster,
Power adjuster,
Small layer of cortosis covers the emittor of both sabers,
Red:
The synth-crystal adds more power to every blow.

Posession is forbidden, but Jeh'rad has his own ship because of his needs to travel. He also has a swoop bike and a few maintainance droids unboard.
The ship is a syncrone and black version of the Ebon Hawk, named the Gray Sparrow. Also, heavily updated as the Ebon Hawk is quite outdated.

(These are unlikely situations that will reflect Jeh'rad's personality, a little bit... )
Jeh'rad frowned. He hated these kind of meetings. All available Jedi were to gather at Dantooine within 14 days. With the sun in his back and the grass tickling his tighs, he came walking down a hill that stood between his ship and his goal. Jaina and her padawan was acting as escort for a senator and his Master on a diplomatic mission, so he did not expect to actually be greated by someone he gave the least about. He thought that last sentence in his head over again, and realized how much more important a Jedi actually was compared to a normal human being. A Jedi saved people, usually atleast half a dusin, and they usually train atleast two other people who will carry the burden of saving people once the Jedi was long gone. He snapped out of his thoughts with his hand at his saber, and turned his attention to a sound comming from a bush. He sighed and shook his head when he realized it was only a kathhound. He playfully plucked a flower with the force and made the kathhound chase the flower around, and eventually leap up in the air to consume it as reward for its trials. Jeh'rad smiled and moved on. The smile quickly faded when he saw the remains of Jedi conclave. They had been cleaned up a bit. Tents were set up all over the place.
He sighed a bit when he spotted the first set of ”goodness” wrapped in the traditional Jedi-garbs walking around. He prepared himself for the formalities that were evident.
He was greeted by the young knight who stood before him. ”May I help you?” he politely asked. Jeh'rad sent him one od his harsh looks, and said with a calm voice:
”I am here for the gathering. I am Master Jeh'rad”.
The young knight was impressed, of course because he thought Jeh'rad much younger.
”I see.” he replied. ”The others have gone to Koonda.. it is only a few hours on foot from here. ”
”Thanks” Jeh'rad bluntly replied with a nod, and turned around to walk back to his ship.
20 min. later Jeh'rad came flying over the hills approaching koonda, on his swoop-bike.
He paked it near the local watering-hole, and took a quick look inside, and was not surprised to find it empty. He walked towards the cityhall, and as soon as the doors slided open he was met by the rotting stench of death and decay. Inside, he saw atleast 10 dead Jedi, and what must have been the population of Koonda. He sensed that there was no life inside the building and shook his head, with his jaw hanging. As soon as he turned around he spotted the the young knight. He had a manic smile on his face. Jeh'rad felt the darkside within him.
”Kid.. Did you do this?!” he shouted full of anger.
”We did. Me and my new master... And now you will join your friends! You are no match for a sith!” he replied and turned on his lightaber and bathed in the red light.
”kid, the sith are gone, give them up already. Let me speak with your master... ”
The young knight lounged and attack against Jeh'rad who stepped aside and walked away from the building.
”C'mon kid, you don't wanna do this... ” he said and narrowed his eyes. He hated being diplomatic.
The kid attacked again, and again and again and Jeh'rad kept dodging the blows, but when one of them got dangerously close, he grabbed his red lightsaber and forced the kid to the ground in a saberlock.
”Now you listen to me, brat!” he snarled, with his eyes ablaze. ”Who ever he is, he is using you to gain more power, and most likely, I will need your help to defeat him, now quit this bullnuts and stop pretending! Your good inside! You were trained to protect the people of the galaxy, not kill them! Let it go! ” as he finnished the sentence, he stepped away from the confused knight. The red lightsaber had made an impression on him, and so had the careless attitude. He senced no light within Jeh'rad, but neither any dark, and then again, it was like there was an equal amount of both. Lots of anger, and lots of conscience.
”Your just like the others! You wan't to take advantage of me! Your all holding me down! ” The knight shouted and pushed Jeh'rad one step back with the force. Jeh'rad fried the grass around the boy with force lightning and stepped forward. the rush was so great. He had not used that power since... Then, and now it returned to his body and fried the grass through the tips of his fingers. The anger and the dark-side within him was rising again, he knew the feeling.
”And HE isn't?!” Jeh'rad shouted. ”You have gained NOTHING from this!”.
The knight was dazzled.
”You... How?” he asked.
”You don't have to listen to that creep inorder to gain power. The darkside is like stimulants kid. It can be enjoyed in small doses only, otherwise it will drive you nuts. The alternative working out... You know what I mean?” Jeh'rad grinned a bit at his own metaphor.
”I... Uh... I don't know... ” The knight was interupted as a third party choose to reveal its presence.
”Don't listen to him Heran... He is full of lies. ” The voice was so familiar. Jeh'rad turned his head to face it and was dazzled beyond imagination. He stood face to face with his master.
”No...” His face hardly showed any emotion, but the tone of his voice revealed Jeh'rads feelings.
”Yes, Jeh'rad. I have seen the light” He laughed. ”No more Jedi crap! I know that deep within you agre..”
”Shut UP! What kind of a fool do you take me for?! I would have sensed my master a mile away! Now draw!” Jeh'rad did a makashi salute and entered an ataru combat stance.
The mans appearence changed as he laughed. ”As you will, Jedi PUP! I'll kill you two...”
he charged Jeh'rad, and the two fought. Eventually, Jeh'rad got the upper hand, and sliced the mans throat. The man looked up, and revealed himself to be, everything but a man. Jeh'rad was looking streight at Jainas face.
”Jeh'rad... How could you...?” She whispered.
”What? No! Jaina?! ” He grabbed her and looked after the knight, only to find Jainas apprentice standing nearby, crying.
”I knew you were not to be trusted Jeh'rad! Once a dark jedi, always a dark jedi!” She cried at him.
”No! I was never... Ungh! ” he looked down to find his own blue lightsaber in his guts, and everything faded as he was looking at the inscribted Jedi code.
”No... I'm a Jedi!... No, Jaina... "
”Noo!” Jeh'rad Shouted as he woke up. He sighed in relief minutes later when he found out it had only been a dream.

Cyan:
The blade is adjusted for reflecting projectiles.
