If it wasn’t for his long black Hair, Niv-taro could easily be mistaken for an Albino. He has red eyes and pure white skin, plus a gaunt frame and pointed ears like most Nagai. Normally he wears a blue colored tunic with one side longer than the other. To hold it in place it wears two smaller straps and a large belt. On the belt is a holster for his Lightsaber as well as a pouch around back. Around the lower section of his grey pants Niv has leather bands tied to keep them out of the way. Shin high black boots are worn under his pants. Around his right arm he keeps leather wrapped as both a precaution when fighting, and as an easy to access bandage/tourniquet when treating others. Around his neck under his collar he wears a small leather strap so that he can tie back his hair if needed.

Biography
Life on Nagi
Niv-Taro was born on Nagi and lived a life like any other Nagai child. His parents ran a small farm outside of the capital and once Niv was old enough they sent him to school inside of the city. There, Niv studied under Nagai tutelage, learning how to read, defend himself and the customs of his people. Even at a young age, he never showed a great interest in the art of battle; Instead he would spend his spare time reading up on anything and everything that he could find. When not at school, Niv-taro would help his family around the farm.
When Niv turned 10, A group of Jedi were passing through, looking for a dark jedi that had stole something important and had fled into the unknown regions landed on Nagi. Unfortunately for the Ghesdunes, this dark Jedi had taken up temporary residence in the brush just beyond their farm land.
While out playing with a friend of his, Niv-Taru found traces of a settlement at the edge of his families land. Being the inquisitive children they were, it was only a short few minutes before a droid in ownership of the dark Jedi spotted them and alerted his master of their presence. Be it lucky or just plain coincidence, the Jedi arrived soon after and their opponents used the children as hostages. This didn’t work out for them however, as the jedi were able to neutralize the thread and save the children with relative ease. Niv was enthralled by his hero’s, and began asking all matter of questions while they walked back to his home. Once there, it became apparent that the Jedi were just as interested in Niv as he was of them. Explaining to his parents that they believed Niv to have some connection to the force, the Jedi convinced both Niv-Taro and his parents to allow them to take Niv back with them for training.
Training Begins
It was apparent from the beginning that Niv-Taro had little interest in learning how to fight and viewed combat is merely a skill to fall back on during an emergency. It was the lore, history, and most of all, the force that interested the boy. He was slow to progress when it came to learning Shii-Cho.
A weakness of Niv-taro’s showed itself early in his training: Anger.
He was quick to fluster, and would be chastised many times for this. It was a common thing for Niv to be forced into secluded meditation as both a punishment and a calming exercise.
Even with these set backs, Niv-taro showed great discipline when it came to the force. His instructors all noticed that in his studies of the force, he would attempt to find defensive uses for abilities both read about and learnt. Like in combat, Niv-taro disliked the concept of being in a front line position, and preferred arts relating to protection and preservation.
They Eyes of a Master
Nearing his thirteenth birthday, Niv-taro was taken in by a master named Rollibard. The man was impressed by Niv-Taro’s interest in all things, and his want to study under a more defensive lesson plan.
The next few years were filled with reading, meditation, studying, practicing and a small amount of combat practice. Being only average at the most basic form of Lightsaber combat, Niv-taro never really grasped the other forms. This was not where Rollibard had seen his potential though; It was in the force that he tutored the boy much more rigorously. Both of them had agreed that Niv’s roll as a Jedi would not lie in combat, but behind the scenes helping those injured, fatigued or generally washed out from other calamities.
Later on, Rollibard had niv-taro craft his Lightsaber. He chose a green crystal, as it was the color of life and a reminder of how precious this gift truly was. While not a fan of fighting, Niv held his Lightsaber in deep regard and carried it with him at all times.
But even with all of this training, Rollibard still noticed the anger that Niv-Taro fought with on a daily basis. It was never a great source of concern as the boy truly showed and interest in trying to suppress such emotions. He would stop and calm himself if ever he noticed such thoughts, and found solace in his healing arts. With the mending of life, and the creation of hope, he could concentrate on these positive lights and numb his anger and instead wallow in tranquility. Unlike most Jedi, Niv would not meditate with his Lightsaber, but outside with the flora and fauna. In life he found peace, the streams that connected all living things and the rhythm of this existence fueled his thoughts. So while he showed anger, he also showed the will to not be controlled by it.
At the age of 20, Rollibard took Niv with him on a mission to help a tribe of innocents from being tormented by a more bloodthirsty breed. It was there that Niv saw first hand the pain that battle could inflict, there that the saved many lives with his healing abilities, and there he encountered his greatest test.
During this battle, he was reunited with the very friend of his that had been with him when he first met the Jedi on Nagi. It appeared that this friend was equally swayed by his encounter with the Jedi and had also left for training- Training in the dark side of the force. As was Nagai tradition, Niv-taro looked beyond sides and tried to negotiate a truce with his fallen companion. This did little good however, and eventually combat was inevitable. Sadly, Niv was not proficient enough in combat to do any more then defend himself, and Rollibard had to step in to fight this dark jedi threat.
Niv could do nothing but watch as Rollibard fought with his old friend, and eventually when both sides tired Rollibard was struck in the chest with a deep blow, falling to Niv’s feet. Grabbing his Lightsaber, Niv’s anger led him to strike his friend down, only to collapse to his knees immediately after in tears over what had occurred. Crawling over to Rollibard, Niv healed his wounds as best he could, then waited for the others to reach them. He was exhausted after using his powers, and knew that the only reason he could strike his old companion down was because Rollibard had worn him out.
Graduation
At the age of 23, Rollibard felt that Niv-taro was ready to become a full fledged Jedi Knight. While he lacked skill in the Lightsaber, he made up for it in his ability to manipulate life and flesh itself. The braid was removed, and the padawan was now a Jedi Healer.
Soon after Rollibard left under councils orders, off to whatever mission they had sent him to. Niv-taro stayed at the academy and trained further, occasionally being sent on away missions to aid those ravaged by oppressive forces.
