Name: Dante
Race: Human
Age: 30
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 131 lbs
Appearance:
Birth place: Coruscant
Faction: Jedi/Nuetral (explained later)
Rank: Jedi Master
Bio: Sparda was a legendary Jedi Knight amongst those who knew him. He had survived many perilous battles and insurmountable odds. He grew to have much respect around the Jedi Temple, and, although not a Jedi master, he had earned the Council's trust to go on missions and succeed.
However, eventually Sparda committed a crime punishable by banishment from the Jedi Order. He fell in love with a woman, named Eva. Eventually, despite Eva's wishes for him to remain in the Jedi Order, Sparda fathered twin sons in secret. Eventually, however, Sparda was discovered and exiled from the Jedi Temple. While still allowed to live on Coruscant, Sparda was no longer an official Jedi.
Vergil and Dante grew up together under the guidance of their father. Sparda, as a former high ranking member of the Jedi Order, taught his sons much before they were officially allowed to become Padawans. He taught both of his sons the basics of many of the Jedi lightsaber styles, as well as many force techniques. Thanks to his blood flowing in their veins, his sons had a rather high amount of force sensitivity, and by the time Dante and Vergil became Padawans they had already become rather proficient in Shii-Cho, and were learning both variations of Shien.
From here, Dante and Vergil's bios split
Dante bonded quite well with his instructer. His master, Enzo, influenced Dante to be a free spirit. Dante, like his father, was always outgoing, brave, and happy to have a little fun. Eventually caught bad attention from some of the other Jedi, however, for being a little too free. He also openly expressed that he liked going on missions that required action.
His father's death came as a shock to Dante. Realizing that his father had lost what he once had, Dante resolved never to let himself be defeated.
Dante began to train vigorously, mastering Shii-cho before Knighthood, and starting basic training in most of the other styles. His master did not approve of this. However, he thought that, due to Dante's mastery of Shii-cho, he was ready for the trials.
However, Dante never got the chance. Just before his and Vergil's shared birthday, Eva, their mother, died. Dante refused to take the trials, and insisted that he be allowed to go search for the now-missing Vergil.
This search ended in failure, and he returned to the temple emptyhanded. This was one year before what he would come to call "The Amulet Incident".
He and his master deided to go on one more mission before the trials. They were sent to a mansion on Coruscant to retrieve a girl named Alice. While there, he passed a man dressed primarily in blue, with spiked white hair. Upon his return to the Temple, he realized that it was his brother. Filled with confidence, he took the Jedi Trials, and passed. With Master Enzo's help, Dante bought a small building on Coruscant, and said that he would use the shop as a freelance business on the side of his Jedi missions.
Soon after, a man named Arkham entered Dante's unnamed shop, asking for "The Son of Sparda". He said that Vergil had sent him with an invitation. He then proceeded to throw several cult members into battle with Dante, all of whom were defeated.
Arkham told him that Vergil had gone to the planet, Mundus, searching for the Amulets of Sparda. Dante rented a ship capable of making the trip, and left immediately. Upon his arrival, Dante quickly chased down his brother. He encountered a Dark Cultist at the base of Temen-ni-gru, and engaged it in combat.
Dante, having become proficient, though not accelent at this point, in several styles of lightsaber combat, used Shien to defeat the Dark Jedi's Ataru. He took it's lightsaber, a Shoto, and proceeded onward. His next test came in the form of twin brothers. They attacked in coordination, but, using the Shoto and his limitted knowledge of Ataru, Dante defeated them both. He took their sabers, and continued his ascent.
Throughout his ascent, he continually encountered a non-force sensitive, who refused to give him her name. Thus, he ended up just calling her Lady. She was at direct odds with Dante, calling him a "Scumbag Force User". It would come to be revealed that her father was Arkham, and he had killed her mother in an attempt to gain more access to the Force.
Dante met his brother at the top of the tower, and both claimed one half of the amulet. Though he fought valiently using Shien, Vergil defeated him.
Dante awoke soon after his brother had left, his wounds strangely healed. He hunted down Vergil, but found himself blocked by a woman calling herself a "Succubus of Men". He defeated her using Jar-kai, but managed to destroy her weapon in the process. He continued his pursuit. Breaking through wave upon wave of cultists, Dante caught up to his brother, and the two battled once more. This time, it ended in a draw, and Arkham defeated Dante, Vergil, and Lady. He took the amulets, and released Spara's power into himself.
At this, Dante and Vergil teamed up and defeated the now-deformed Arkham. They defeated him, and his body rejected Sparda's Force Essence back into the amulets. It would end up being Lady (who's real name was Mary) who finished Arkham off, shooting him between the eyes with a blaster.
Dante claimed his half of the amulet, while Vergil claimed his half, as well as their father's purple lightsaber. The two battled fiercely, with Dante using Shien and Vergil using his combination of Backhand Shien and Jar-kai. However, Vergil was defeated. Before he could be captured, however, he threw himself into a chasm, refusing to leave the planet.
As Dante returned to Lady, she queried about Vergil. On learning what had happened, she comforted Dante with the words, "Even a devil may cry when he loses a loved one." Dante took this to heart, and named his shop on Coruscant "Devil May Cry".
Dante began to train even harder than before, following various Jedi and observing their styles so he could learn them. After mastering Shien, and almost mastering Jar-kai, Dante took on the harsh task of beginning to learn Juyo. He also began going on missions outside of Jedi business, working as a mercenary for anyone he decided he wanted to help.
One day, he recieved a request a woman named "Trish", asking him to return to Mundus to stop the reign of a being named Nelo Angelo. He agrees, and leaves for Mundus, eventually landing just outside a castle.
Dante explores the castle and encounters demonic Marionettes, controlled by the Force. He also finds a new Saber, which he names Alastor, and battles a giant spider named Phantom. Dante wins the battle, but the monster reappears a short time later in a corridor, forcing Dante to escape.
After further exploration and combat, Dante battles Nelo Angelo, who impresses Dante with his silent confidence. Nelo wins, but suddenly flees upon seeing the half-amulet Dante wears. He attacks twice more later, and is eventually revealed to be Dante's identical twin brother, Vergil. After Vergil's final defeat, his amulet joins with his brother's half, and Dante performs the ritual to release Sparda's power into himself. This boosts his force powers tremendously, though he still maintains a much higher skill in swordplay. After Vergil's defeat, Dante comes across a Lightfoil, which he names Force Edge.
Dante then encounters what appears to be a sentient pool of corpses and armor. He kills the creature by attacking it's core, and discovers that a Lightsaber had been used as a beacon for the creature to be controlled. He takes the saber and, in respect to the beasts high level of invulnerability, dedicates the saber to his Soresu teachings, and names it "Royal Guard".
When Dante next meets Trish, she betrays him and reveals that she too is working for Mundus. But when her life is endangered, Dante chooses to save her. Saying he only did so because of her resemblance to his mother, he warns her to stay away. Yet when he finally confronts Mundus, who is about to kill Trish, Dante again chooses to save her and is injured. Mundus tries to finish him off, but Trish takes the attack instead. This enrages Dante. Dante and Mundus then battle.
Dante is victorious, and leaves the amulet and Force Edge with Trish's immobile body before departing. Mundus returns and corners Dante, who is now back to his regular strength, before he can flee the island; Trish also returns and lends Dante her power. Dante defeats Mundus, who vows to return and rule the human world. When Trish tries to apologize she begins to cry, and Dante tells her it means she has become human and not just a devil, because "devils never cry". Dante and Trish escape on a plane as the island collapses. Dante and Trish begin working together as partners. Because of his brave efforts in preventing a serious threat to the Galaxy, Dante is elevated to the title of Master, though he declines any offers to join the Council.
Currenly, Dante resides in Devil May Cry, along with Trish. The Council has suspected the two of breaking the Jedi Code of not being in a relationship, though both deny this. Dante going as far as to say "It'd be like dating my mom."

Dante stepped forth, staring down the armored figure in front of him. He'd already faught this damn thing twice, and he'd figured out that the armor was made of a semi-lightsaber resistant material. The creature activated it's own lightsaber, a blue one. It glanced at Dante, and let out a roar. It ripped off it's own helmet, and revealed to Dante it's face.
It was a he. And he was Vergil, Dante's long-lost brother. Dante was slightly taken aback by this revelation. So, the Force Demon had possessed his brother? Trish was right, this bastard was evil.
Vergil stepped forward, and then launched towards his brother, slashing at he went. Dante, having learned this move already, propelled himself backwards with the Force.
He slashed at Vergil's body, and he took the full force of the blow, cringing only slightly. He felt Vergil's saber seer into his shoulder, and he moved before he lost his arm.
"So..." he said, mimicking a former battle of theirs, "this is what they call a heartwarming family reunion, huh?"
Vergil didn't, couldn't, respond. However, Vergil gripped his head in pain. Dante had discovered that it pained the creature to remember Dante and their family.
Dante lunged forward, and impaled Vergil with his saber. He used the Force, and intensified the pain for Vergil, trying to snap him out of this possession.
Dante leapt backwards, and watched as his brother rose into the air, and, in a brilliant flash of light, vanished. Suddenly, a loud clank was heard. Dante walked forward, and stopped himself from retracting...
It was his brother's half of the amulet. His mind flashed back to their birthday just before Dad had died.
Eva smiled brightly at her two sons. "Dante, Vergil, happy birthday," she said, handing them a cake mixed with chocolate and vanilla frosting. "I want the chocolate!" shouted Dante. "Nuh uh, I want it!" protested Vergil. The boys began to bicker, in their childish way...
Dante grabbed his brother's amulet. It was time to release Sparda's power into himself, and get revenge on Mundus, this planet's namesake, for the death of his brother. As he snapped the amulets together, he remembered Lady's words.
"Even a devil may cry when he loses a loved one. Don't you think?"
