Even as his master was moving, so was the Short, cerulean boy, ducking and rolling off at an Oblique a hand Reaching to his belt at the Same time, deft fingers loosing one of the twin sabers into his grasp. Rolling onto his feet from the impromptu somersault, Arichi stood now, closer to his master, facing the other way from Meira, saber held up in a rather Simple Shii-cho Stance. It hadn't been Confidence that moved him, he reflected as he looked over each shoulder, watching as the Droids had started to fan out some, attempting to Encircle them. What had made him move was a Mere feeling, a tiny whisper in his soul that said that Someone might have needed help, and that was where he should be.
Indeed master He replied when Meira remarked of the Knowledge of their Presence by whomever it was out there controlling the Droids; at the same time, he deflected a pair of shots, taken by one of the droids that had moved. His eye twitched a little in resignation. I do not think that I have enough training in Niman master, but in a Situation such as this, it would be beneficial to have more Instruments to Block with. he stated, his second hand leaving the first saber's hilt, the Force calling his Second saber to his hand where it ignited, casting a quivering Lavender sheen over the Ground below him as Jon'arichi'kotokk took a slightly better stance.
What is our Plan Master? he inquired of her, still alert as his eyes scanned over the Droids to his Front and sides.

"Commander, what is taking so long?"
"The droids seem to be encountering a good amount of resistance. The Jedi are quite skilled."
"Tell me, do our droids have infrared capabilities?"
"Yes, they do. Why do you ask?"
"Have the mortar troops lay down some smoke in the area, and then we'll see how much resistance those Jedi continue to put up."

Meira couldn't help but smile as she heard Arichi's response to her warning. Did she detect a hint of sarcasm? Probably not. But even if he hadn't intended it, he had amused her, even as they fought off the relentless attacks by the droids. She merely nodded as Arichi pulled out his second lightsaber to bolster his defense. When he asked what the plan was, Meira was already contemplating the same thing.
These droids aren't trying to kill us. They're trying to capture us. She said as she spun around, her lightsaber moving in a whir against the barrage of fire. There was a good number of them, and she was sure there would be more where they were going.
It seems to me that we have two options. Either we can take care of these droids, and fight our way into the facility, or we can let them capture us and walk right through the front doors.
Just then, a few objects fell from the sky. As soon as they hit the ground, large plumes of dark gray smoke began to mushroom up from the ground. The droids stopped firing and for a moment, all that could be heard was the steady, pulsing hum of their lightsabers. Soon enough, Meira extinguished hers. The smoke was blocking out all vision, and the droids had stopped firing, there was no need for the weapon anymore.
How have your breath control exercises been going? As the smoke crept in on them, Meira knew it was the kind that would knock them out if they didn't start using the Force to counter act the effects. She took one last large gulp of air as the gray veil surrounded her, convincing her body that it didn't need the oxygen at this moment. She slowed her heart rate and steadied herself. It looked like their decision had been made for them. But whoever these attackers were, they didn't know that Meira was already late on making her report to the Counsel. Back up would be on its way before long.

Blocking a shot off of each of his Blades, Arichi managed to Hit one of the Droids in it's chest, watching as the Electricity from the bolt arced across it's chest, damaging internal circuitry enough to cause the Droid to Shut down without exploding, Raising an eyebrow, he inhaled deeply, concerned. Sure, those bolts would be good for a Larger, older target, but for a Child? He would run the risk of paralysis if one hit him on a nerve cluster.
Doubling his efforts, Arichi strained into the Force, mentally pleading for it's assistance in his motions, asking it to Guide his blades as they flashed and Spun, Bouncing back shots with their Lavender hue. do believe I've noticed that master. Mind you, It'd hurt me worse then you at that Voltage he stated plainly, as though the thought of permanent injury didn't perturb him in the least.
As he moved, he listened to her plan, his logistical mind working through each of the two options. The first had it's merits, mainly being the fact that it would prevent him from having to worry about permanent Nerve damage later, but it was Loud, Unsubtle, and on a mission such as this one, it may be better to have information straight from behind whatever enemy's they were facing's lines. So, the second option seemed to be the way to go now, but it still worried them.
Master Arichi said, his tone serious, comically so compared to his voice. It seems our answer has come he remarked as the Smoke mortars landed around them, Filling the air with the Hazy grey-green of Chemical smoke. Shutting off his Sabers at once, Arichi Sheathed one, hiding the other in his sleeve, deep within it's depths and close to his chest. Not well he replied when asked about breathing exercises. He had been so worried about Saber construction and New forms and Force Skills practice that he hadn't really had too much time to practice some of his basic skills. Later on, he knew he'd get an earful from Meira, he knew, but as he took a final breath, he knew it didn't matter.
Being smaller, Arichi's circulatory system was smaller too, giving the Gas less time to get to his brain from his Lungs. A Higher Metabolism, a trait of the Chiss didn't help either, considering that his Pulse was up to begin with, not to mention the boost that comes with any combat situation. Blinking, his head lilted to the side, then he fell, his body leaning over to the right as he passed out, his last concious thought hoping that this was the right thing to do.

Zarene watched as the mortar rounds streaked through the sky in a beautiful arc, hitting the ground with a dull thud. As the smoke rose in the distance, she descended from the roof to meet the commander of the troops in one of the hallways.
"The Jedi have been captured. What shall we do with them? There are no prison facilities in the complex, and guards had hardly be expected to be able to contain Jedi once they awaken."
Zarene gave her ponytail in irritated tug. She hadn't really thought of that. "Give them to Fisher," she said finally. "I want to know how they got here and how they found us. She can extract that information from them. Once that is done kill them; they will be of no further use."
She walked towards the front gate of the facility, wanting to see just who these Jedi were with her own eyes.

Gabriella was growing impatient, it was taking too long for the soldiers to deal with Jedi. She had a bunch of little convert's here just waiting for their bright future. Of course what they thought was bright, would be complete darkness. She was fidgeting around, considering torturing a kid to pass the time when she received a report on her comm.
"Miss Fisher, we have captured the Jedi, Miss Yin says we should bring them to you." the voice of the commander came through the comm.
Finally, I am going to have some fun. I haven't had the pleasure of torturing a Jedi for almost a year
"Very well, bring them to the staff room, and tell Zarene to meet me there" she ordered in a low tone, not wanting the others to hear.
They needed to get these children off here, but first things first. The Jedi were always a nuisance but Gabriella took great satisfaction in killing them. She was very much looking forward to cutting their screams short with her blades. She turned to the crowd of young eyes which were still focused on her.
"I must go get the ship ready, please wait here and I will come and get those who wish to go when it is time." she stated in a serene and reassuring voice.
She then made her way off the podium, and out of the large room. The Staff lounge was about two hallways down from the meeting hall, far enough that the Jedi's screams wouldn't be heard. She reached the room approximately five minutes later and saw two guards and Zerene waiting outside the door.
"Zerene" Gabriella simply stated, indicating that Zarene should follow her into the room.
The Jedi were tricky, mere gas was not going to stop them in their tracks. They would resist, she was sure of that, so she would rather have Zarene around just in case. She looked at the two, slumped against the wall. Their lightsabers were nowhere in the room, as was a standard precaution when dealing with Jedi.
Gabriella walked over to the female Jedi, who she identified as a Kiffar, a pretty one too. She knelt down next to her and ran a finger across the Kiffar's face, almost as if she were caressing it. She then grasped both her cheeks with her hand, and moved her mouth closer to the Jedi's ear and whispered...
"Wake up..."

Meira watched, an amused expression on her face, as Arichi succumbed to the gas. It wasn't until she could feel his unconsciousness that she let worry show on her face. Whatever they were about to face, it was more than any had expected, including the Counsel. She could hear the droids moving in to surround them. There was nothing for it now. She briefly wondered if they should have continued to fight. But such thoughts were useless now. Reminding herself to stay in the moment, Meira turned to face the droid that had come forward to check their bodies.
Hands up!
Meira complied. The droid signaled another to come forward and take their lightsabers. Meira noted with a hint of a smile that only one had been collected from Arichi. Another droid stepped forward, lifting Arichi's form off the ground.
Move it!
Meira considered her options for a moment, and allowing the smile to spread further across her face, she feigned passing out. Her body slumped loosely to the ground. After only a moment's hesitation, a third droid collected her and the group moved out towards the complex. Much better than walking. Meira thought to herself. She spent the time of the short journey concentrating on keeping Arichi's unconscious mind peaceful. She didn't want him waking up frightened.
When they reached the complex, they were taken inside. Meira could hear both living and droid voices conversing. Whoever these people were, they were wanting to leave soon. Some were edgy.
They were deposited on the floor, propped up against a wall. As soon as Meira could detect that no one was in the room, she opened her eyes and studied her surroundings. A conference room of some sort. She was fairly sure they weren't going to be having a meeting. She could feel a disturbance, much stronger now that they were inside the complex. There was fear, confusion, darkness... and most strangely, hope? A desperate, last chance sort of hope that Meira couldn't understand. But she had little time to ponder the odd sensation. She could feel someone approaching.
Meira closed her eyes again and evened her breathing and heartbeat. Soon, muffled voices could be heard outside the door. Meira checked again to make sure Arichi was resting peacefully before their captors entered the room. She could feel them moving around. She could sense the dark side in them. What were Dark Jedi doing here? But rather than think on the answer, Meira continued to focus on her charade. A thin finger traced along her jaw line. Not a single muscle twitched. Meira's face was held in cold hands.
"Wake up..."
Meira allowed her eyes to flutter open, the green orbs then focused on the woman's face. She was obviously Echani by the looks of her pure white hair on a face much to young to show any sign of old age. Meira smiled pleasantly at the woman, allowing her face to appear as if she were indeed recovering from induced unconsciousness. Her eyes then looked down at the hands holding her cheeks, then back up at the woman, conveying an amused sense of confusion.
...Yes?
((If you all would be so kind as to NOT notice Arichi's hidden lightsaber... we're sort of banking on it to hold you guys off until our help arrives. But don't worry. You can torture us for a while. We're cool with that.))

As the dark Jedi left, presumably to get the ship ready for their transport off of Bakura, the workers in the room began scattering out of the rows they had formed for the meeting. Many grouped off with their friends and soon there was a light din in the room as they all discussed the possibilities of leaving and joining up with this Brotherhood.
In the midst of this, Looma and Cal headed off to one wall to be alone. Looma had never been close to any of her fellow workers nor anyone else on the planet. Cal was her only friend. Her only comfort. She stood there with him quietly, not knowing what to say and knowing that she didn't need to say anything. The two of them were pretty much on the same wavelength most of the time they were together, especially the past few months as their relationship grew closer. They would just wait patiently until it was their time to get on the ship.
The yellow Twi'lek smiled and grasped Cal's hand, looking into his eyes. They conveyed all her emotion. That along with her subtle body movements, her headtails twitched slightly at their tapered ends, showed him what she was feeling. She was completely excited about this new step in her life, their lives. Originally skeptical of the whole thing, Looma began to see the truth in what Zarene had told them and what this other fallen Jedi had spoken to them of in the meeting hall. Soon, very soon they would have a new and better a life. A life where they could be together. A life where they could do whatever they pleased without worrying about disobeying Jedi teachings or not working hard enough in the Bakuran fields.
Suddenly feeling hungry, realizing that their lunch had been interrupted by the fight and meeting with Zarene in the forest, Looma reached into her pocket and found a fruit that she had not dropped in the forest when they had left. She broke it open and offered half to Cal. Silently they stood on the outside of the large room, eating their fruit and speaking without speaking at all.

Zarene had joined Gabriella in the room with the captives after giving the commander a quick set of orders. The droids were to remain in patrol. If there was one Jedi there could the more, and she did not want to be taken by surprise. "And no more stun," she said to the commander. "This time, set to kill."
Zarene stood back as the other woman began her work, a hand resting on one of her blasters. Should the Jedi have someone overcome the gas and attempt to break free, then she would gun them down. But as for the actual interrogation, that was completely Gabriella's job. To be honest, Zarene found some of the things Gabriella did to be somewhat disturbing, but there was no denying that the Echani woman's methods were quite effective.
She closely observed the two captives as they were brought in. There was a boy of a strange blue-skinned species, no doubt a padawan given his youth. The Knight was a pretty female Kiffar with a black clan tattoo. Zarene suddenly felt a sharp stab of jealousy. Looma, Gabriella, this young knight, all pretty and attractive young women. As for Zarene, she might have been,... if only,... had it not been for one bad day. Quickly she bit her lip and suppressed the emotion. Those kinds of thoughts were weakness. Besides, looks didn't matter. Strength did.
Something about the Kiffar though seemed to tickle something in the back of her memory. Zarene could not shake the feeling that she had seen that woman somewhere before. Of course, she looked to be roughly the same age as herself. She supposed that it was quite possible that she had encountered this Knight while she was still a member of the Jedi Order.

{{OOC: how on earth does Zarene know what the Chiss are? There's VERY few Chiss in the known Galaxy?}}
Gentle movements in the Nine year-old's body showed that he was starting to awaken from the effects of the Gas attack on his Central Nervous system. Stirring a little, Consciousness hit Jon'arichi'kotokk like a hoverfreight full of lead, causing him to blink a little wearily, his head pounding, the shapes around him no more then blurred and colorful blobs.
Hearing his master's voice, Arichi fought the urge to move, to bring out the saber in his shirt, he'd be of no use and possibly even killed if he did, so patience seemed to be the best option at this point. Trying to say something, he found that his tongue felt thick, his mouth dry and his words came out as no more then a grunting sound as he tried to push himself up, into a more comfortable position, only to find his motor-coordination skills severely diminished as he Fell back down and gave up on that pursuit.
Instead, the young Padawan just listened, not really sure of what he'd hear, but his ears were the only thing working properly at this point anyway.

Gabriella quickly pulled her hand back, and slapped the woman with the backside of her hand. The Jedi spoke only one word, and she was already utterly disgusted of this woman.
"Forgive me, I seem to be getting a little ahead of myself. As you must be aware, you and this young one here are at my mercy. Luckily for you, I am a merciful woman.."
She slowly stood up, and took a few steps back, warm eyes looking at the Jedi. She did enjoy toying with the Jedi, even if they knew every word she spoke was a lie.
"I have but a few questions for you.." she said after a few moments, taking a step forward as her hand traversed towards her lightsaber. Her hand suddenly stopped as she changed her mind, instead moving to pull a small knife out.
Instead of moving towards the woman, he moved toward the young blue skinned boy. Kneeling in front of him, giving him one of her most charming smiles. Even as she did so, she ran the blunt edge of the blade down the boy's face, her intentions clear.
"Why have you two arrived here? Do the Jedi know of our presence here? Will more be coming? Please think and answer carefully" She finished as she tapped the blade against the young boy's face absent mindly.
Secretly, Gabriella was hoping these two weren't cowards so she could really revel in their torture. A boy and a woman, on top of that, most likely padawan and master. She only had the pleasure of such an opportunity once before, she would make this a memorable occasion.

Meira's smile lasted up to the point of contact between the woman's hand and her face, at which point a grimace against the sting was unavoidable. Her eyes had clenched tightly closed as her face was thrown quickly to the side by the force of the blow. After a moment, she opened her emerald eyes again. She could taste blood where her cheek had scraped against her teeth, but in all, there was only the fading sting. For all intents and purposes, it wasn't a bad start.
The Echani woman spoke, and Meira's eyes returned to connect with those of her capture. She smiled again, as if nothing had happened.
I forgive you. Meira said in response to the woman's first words. When she was reminded that she was at this woman's mercy, Meira nodded her head knowingly. Indeed they were.
The woman moved to advance, her hand reaching for the lightsaber she carried. Meira steeled herself for what was to come. Would it be swift? Would she feel a thing? No, something in the woman's eyes told Meira that this would not be quick and clean. She and Arichi would not have been brought inside all this way just to be quickly beheaded. That could have been accomplished a long time ago. No, not quick and clean... long, long and dirty. The woman pulled out a knife. Yes, dirty.
But the woman did not approach her again. Instead, she moved to Arichi, and Meira had to fight back a sudden wave of remorse. Arichi would suffer, unless Meira provided the answers to the woman's question. This was indeed torture. His movements and low murmurings were evidence that he was waking up from his stupor. Would his sense of pain have already returned?
Meira took the moment she was granted for thought carefully. She wanted to hold off any imminent pain for Arichi as long as possible. And yet, she didn't want to strain this woman's patience. Of course, Meira had to be careful about what she revealed to these people. She wasn't sure what the Council expected her to find here, but Meira was fairly sure that Dark Jedi had not been anticipated. But that hardly mattered now. Meira could only hope she and Arichi could bear to stall these attackers long enough for reinforcements to arrive.
We were sent because a garbled transmission had been received and attempts to return the transmission failed. That much was fine to reveal. But she had to be careful about the rest. The Council is unaware of your presence. Meira said, looking the woman square in the eyes. This too was a truth. And if these attackers didn't feel that more were arriving, they might not hasten to leave, giving more time for Jedi to arrive and help.
In response to the last question, Meira smiled again. I'm sure a Jedi or two will be around at some point. They do work here after all.

Feeling the cold steel against his skin, Arichi's eyes flashed open, his body fully alert now. Without thought, on sheer instinct as his eyes widened, the Force seemed to Explode from his core, a Bubble of the Mystical energy pushing out from him quickly as he began to speak and Stammer. His words, however, were not in Basic. but rather the words were harsh, gutteral, a sharp contrast with his voice's sound.
Scrabbling back, Arichi pushed himself against the wall, his breaths coming fast, heart pounding so quickly that he could feel it in his neck, hear it in his ears. Crimson eyes scanning over the figure of the Dark Jedi, locking on the knife. So...that was what he had felt against his face. Casting his eyes to Meira, Arichi tried to slow his own breathing, unable to and not wanting to speak.

Zarene frowned as the Jedi woman smiled, already narrower-than-average eyes narrowing even further. The Jedi woman seemed confident, too confident, which bothered Zarene. And then there was that lingering feeling at the back of her mind that she had seen this woman somewhere before, and yet she was unable to recall a name or a context.
Then again, what did it matter what her name was? When this was over, she was going to die anyway.
Suddenly Zarene's attention was shifted as the strange-looking blue boy abruptly awoke with a burst of Force power, and babbling in some bizarre, guttural tongue. The move must have caught Gabriella slightly off-guard, as he was able to scramble backwards. Perhaps bringing them here alive had been a mistake.
Restrain him! she thought, and instinctively raised her mechanical arm, pointing at the boy. The top panel on her forearm unfolded, and with the quiet pfft sound, a tranquilizer dart shot out towards the boys neck. At the same time, her lightsaber flew from her belt into her other hand, and she placed a finger on the activation button, ready to kill should either prisoner choose to make an aggressive move.
"These two are trouble." Her voice calm but with a definite edge. "And their usefulness has ended. It would be best to dispose of them now."

Gabriella looked straight into the eyes of the kiffar woman, and could instantly tell she wasn't lying. Years of torturing people, watching them beg for their life, and interrogation had given her the ability to tell truth from lies just by looking the person in the face. Gabriella remained silent for a moment, as she processed the information.
So, they were sent here based on a garbled communique. While the council may be unaware of our presence, they will know that something is wrong. We must assume that more Jedi are on their way. While I do enjoy killing Jedi, I do not wish to displease mistress Renata...
She let out a heavy sigh knowing that extended torture was not going to be on today's agenda. Just as she was about to speak again, when she was blasted back by the Force. She stumbled backward, and realized the origin was that of the young boy. She suddenly grabbed her lightsaber with her left hand, igniting it as she drew the saber. She sent her blade in a wide arc out to her left, catching the dart before it hit the boy.
"Oh calm down Zarene, there are better ways to go about this"
She walked over to the female Jedi quickly, and with a flash, slashed the woman's thigh with her knife.
"Calm yourself child! if you don't your master will suffer a week longer before I kill her!" she said turning to the boy, sounding somewhat disheveled.
She walked to the boy once again, brought the knife up to her face, and licked the knife until it was clean of the blood. The only way to truly describe the expression on Gabriella's face was, twisted. Gabriella sensed Zerene's agitation clearly, sighed, and then took a few steps back.
"Sadly, my partner here is right, I am afraid we will not be spending the weeks together that I had imagined."
Gabriella drew one of her lightsabers, and then hesitated for a second. Not because she didn't want to kill them, but because she didn't know who to kill first. She finally decided to kill the master first, seeing as the boy seemed to have some problems of his own, she would add to his suffering. She stalked over to where the Kiffar was, and raised her blade with two hands, above her head.
"Such a pretty thing...."
A streak of silver flashed, as he lightsaber cut the air toward the Jedi's head.

Many things soon happened at once. Arichi came to quickly, and in his panic, instinctively let out a bubble of force push that sent their hostess back a few paces. Of course, now the others in the room were on edge, one even firing a dart towards Arichi before drawing her lightsaber. Now things were getting hairy. But the woman who had been questioning her surprised Meira by stopping the dart with her own lightsaber.
Now two women face Meira and Arichi... one more patient than the other perhaps, but both were quite deadly. The Echani woman approached again, and Meira was sure that this time, she would be finished. But instead, she only got a searing shock of pain across her thigh. She clenched her teeth against the pain, but a soft cry managed to escape her lips. Meira heard the woman address Arichi, and her emerald eyes sought out the crimson ones of her apprentice. Now was not the time for fear. In the moment of distraction that Arichi had unwittingly caused, Meira had time to sense that one of Arichi's blades was concealed within his robes. Maybe they had time.
Surely their failure to report back had been noted long ago... surely back up had been waiting to move in and help. Surely Meira's faith in the Council was not misplaced. Master Vreem would come himself, if no one else. She had to trust in him, in the Council. If only she could hold on just a little longer, if Arichi could keep his grip and not fear for her or for himself. She had only been teaching him for such a short time. Was it enough? Arichi now faced a darkness many padawans might never have to face. Could she have done anything to prepare him for it? Could she have done more? Even through the pain, she tried to lend him some of the courage that she had left. She set her jaw and even managed something of a smile for him. This would be hard enough without seeing her pain. She would shield him from it as best as she could, for as long as she could.
But it seemed their assailants had run out of time. They sensed the imminent arrival of her comrades, and now there was no more time for playing. But Meira now had a plan. As the Echani woman approached, her blade held aloft ready to strike the final blow, Meira met the woman's eyes with her own viridian gaze, which was suddenly serene. A breath was drawn in and Meira closed her eyes, as if she were ready to succumb to her fate. The lightsaber came down in a brilliant silver arc. But there was no gore at the end of this twisted rainbow, only the durasteel floor as the blade melted into its surface.
Meira was now a body length away, having rolled to the side only an instant before the silver saber could cut into her neck. As a testament to how close a call it was, the cloth that usually held the bulk of Meira's inky hair in a tight bun lay singed on the floor between the Kiffar and her Echani attacker. The long tresses now hung just past Meira's shoulders, the two braided strandts at her temples the only parts still in place.
Meira now stood crouched low, pushing Arichi back into a corner behind her, her hand having summoned his hidden saber. The instant her fingers closed around the grip, she ignited the purple blade with the familiar snap hiss. She smiled at her foes. No matter what the odds looked like, Meira knew their captors had not expected this much of a fight. Even if she and Arichi were doomed to fail, Meira wasn't about to give up just yet.
You're not so bad on the eyes yourself. She said, tilting her head towards the Echani woman. With every breath, Meira was drawing on the Force to help her ignore the pain in her leg. Every moment she had now was a chance she would not squander. She flourished the purple blade, ending the challenge by bringing it to a stop in an opening stance of Soresu, her preferred form. But it could never work out between us. As the eye of the storm, Meira might not be able to defeat these enemies, but she could do her best to hold them at bay until help arrived.

Sadly, choosing to bring the Jedi in alive instead of killing them outright had indeed proved to be a big mistake as the Jedi somehow managed the speed to avoid Gabriella's strike, produced a hidden saber, and stood ready to fight. Normally Zarene would have enjoyed getting to blast an opponent to bits, but they had a mission right now, and this was an unnecessary distraction.
For all the Jedi liked to talk about honor and fairness, in the end, combat always boiled down to surprising your opponent and attacking from unexpected angles. The Jedi took the first move. But now it was her turn. Extending a hand, she reached out through the Force. The blue-skinned boy was positioned behind the Kiffar woman. Obviously with only one lightsaber between them, the master was intent on protecting her padawan. Telekinesis had always been a strength of hers, and now she sought to use it to grab the boy by the scruff of the neck, and pull him to collide with his master from behind and hit her wounded leg.

Feeling his form lifted from the ground, The Chiss boy watched as the Dark Jedi female directed him at his master, flinging him Bodily, the Force acting as a strong arm, at her legs. Inhaling deeply, Arichi's eyes closed, and he too reached out to the Force, Trying to divert his path from the leg. Even if it put him into the open, Meira was their only hope for escape at this point.
Tumbling past her, his push sending him off to Meira's side, Arichi tumbled onto the floor, rolling for a few feet before stopping, his body scratched, bruises starting to form, a dark purple on his Cerulean skin. Exhaling after what nearly felt like an Eternity, he pushed himself up, pulling both hands back. He was Nine, yes, a Padawan, barely trained by even Temple Standards, but he was Meira's padawan, and he wasn't going to go down without a Fight. If it was Telekinesis that the woman wanted to play with, he would at least try to hold his own.
With a deep breath, Arichi could feel the Force wrapping itself around his body, congregating to his palms, and with a Thrusting motion from both arms, he released it, trying to catch either one of the women off guard. He wasn't a knight, and he didn't have his Sabers at the moment, but he wasn't going to go down as a useless apprentice.

Gabriella sensed as her blade swung down that it was not going to be over. That is not to say that she wasn't surprised somewhat when the Kiffar woman dodged her blade, it was quite an impressive move. Gabriella observed as she rolled back towards her padawan, shielding him with her own body and conjuring a...lightsaber?
Oh ho things are finally getting exciting
Another sick smile spread across Gabriella's face, and she suddenly let out a resounding twisted laugh. She hadn't had this much fun for years, and she was thoroughly enjoying herself. On top of everything, this Jedi had spirit, and she liked that.
"Very good Jedi, it looks like you are going to provide me more entertainment then I had predicted!"
Zarene exerted the Force in the direction of the padawan but the young one managed to thwart her intentions. Gabriella just shook her head in disgust at Zarene's inability.
"Zarene, are you going to let this little insect defeat you?" she taunted heartily
She was entertaining the notion of whether to use her second blade right away but decided against it. She spread her feet apart slightly, and held her blade with two hands in front of her. Her stance was vague and didn't adhere to any of the known stances, because she hadn't decided to use one yet.
"Come Jedi, show me your conviction"

Meira should have known that they'd play dirty. The sort that used the force for their own greedy gains weren't the kind to think that the rules applied. She shouldn't have been surprised that the other one would try to harm her by using Arichi as a weapon. But she was, just a little. More so, she felt a hint of anger rise up inside of her. How dare she? Even in the darkness, was there no heart beating? But Meira pushed aside the anger as quickly as it came. It would do her no good to allow herself to fall to their standards. Besides, as Meira saw Arichi's resistance to the woman's attack, any hint of anger was immediately replaced by pride. She knew her padawan had a strength inside of him that would be hard to see unless he decided to let it out. And it seemed he was prepared to do just that.
While the Echani woman spoke, Meira put the moment to more productive ends, reaching out through the force towards her apprentice to reconnect with his mind, the way she had shown him on their way here. She felt the connection soon after, a strong current within the force that funneled only between the two of them. They were united now, her strength could support his, and they could act as a single entity. She smiled then, turning her head just slightly so that Arichi could see. No matter what these others boasted in their "power" their strength was infinite because it came purely from the force. They did not rely on such fickle things as anger or other emotions. They were at peace. The force was with them.
As if to strengthen her thoughts, the Echani woman taunted her companion. Meira couldn't help but seize the opportunity for a lesson. You see what she did? Meira asked Arichi, giving a nod in the direction of their foes. She insults even her own allies. The dark side will lead you to believe that anger is strength. Don't be fooled. It clouds your judgment. She connected her eyes with the Echani woman. It makes you sloppy.
The Echani woman's challenge almost made Meira laugh. Have I not already? You asked for forgiveness, I gave it willingly. My conviction is to protect, not destroy. Are you so happy in your anger? She turned her eyes to the other, Zarene. And are you so happy to be insulted? Have you both been so blinded that you're willing to suffer for your illusions of power? You should read your history books. The bad guys never win.
