Hi, something I noticed walking around these boards boredly (^^
was that a lot of you are unfamiliar with BBcode, which is what Proboards, and most other Forum sites use to Code in-post special things. So I figured I'd give you a hand with this.
To start with, Using Quote
The command to Use Quote is [quote*]Insert Quoted Text here[/quote*] with the Astericks removed. What that does is make:
That said, for the lazy and Crafty among us, there's the button in the Reply page, above the box that has a Paper with an Arrow coming off of it. If you Highlight someone else's text in the reply viewer beneath your posting, you can Direct-quote it by hitting that button!
NEXT comes the basic Text-changing commands.
[/b][/quote] = Text Bold - Used to show Emphasis or to Head up a new section usually
[/i][/quote] = Text Italics - Used to Emphasize, Show Thought in RP (not all people RP the same)
[/u][/quote] = Text Underlines - Used for the Names of Books, Movies, Shows and Ships.
[/s][/quote] = Text Strikethrough - I've never used it, but It can be used to... Strike through words?
THOSE are the basics, Pretty easy, right?
Well, now we get into special things, and for this, I'm pretty sure I'll just be using quote tags and Explaining rather then demonstrating.
[/url][/quote] This adds a URL link with the Link Visible to the Masses without having to Hover mouse.
[/url][/quote] This makes links that Actually have words, so that would go to inserthttphere.com, but on the forums, it'd say "Insert what you want said here"
Taking this moment to remind you all, when using BBcode found here, REMOVE THE *'s!
[/img][/quote] This adds an Image to your posts, it's the button that looks like a Little picture up above your posting window, but Not all pics are the same nice, forum-friendly size. So there was another version invented

[/img][/quote] Those blank spaces? Fill it up with WIDTH and HEIGHT in that order, and it'll resize, Half is always easy to do!
