Luxa searched into the force to find her Padawan. She was drawn to the ship ports, and strolled her way, eventually finding Velos.
"I here you like ships." she said with a smirk on her faace.

Velos looked at her as she came towards him. He ran towards her and smiled at the claim.
”You’ve heard correct. But this is no time for that. Look up there at the incoming fleet of escort ships. There are a lot of them.” Velos exclaimed wondering what she’d been rushed off to do. It was then that he remembered the two Twi’leks in the medical centre.
”Oh and…those two Twi’lek girls…are dead.” Velos muttered trembling with slight anger at the memory.

Luxa disregarded the last comment, knowing it would only bring pain.
"Velos, I must stay on Ryloth. The people trust and listen to me. Who knows who is hiding on the planet." Luxa smiled as she spoke. "But the approaching fleet does need to be investigated, so I am asking you to go." Luxa truly had faith in her Padawan, and knew he would not upset her.

Velos looked up at Luxa and then stared up at the approaching escort fleet. He heard what Luxa had said but wondered how he’d get up there before they landed. He had to ask.
”Excuse me Master but how will I get up there before they have a chance to land? If it’s more slave traders surely we cannot risk letting them land.” Velos asked curiously. Knowing that his Master would send him off alone to investigate something this serious filled him with confidence. This must mean that she believed in him and he smiled at the thought.

"Velos, your missions is not to stop the fleet, but to get information on it." Luxa explained. "Simply go up, and come back down as soon as possibly. You must do it for the sake of Ryloth." Luxa knew there was room fo mistake, but she didn't want her Padawan to know.
"If you can get us enough information, the people of Ryloth will be able to fend off the inturders on their own. You realize that this is not only a test for you, but a test of the entire planet. If they can fend off a fleet this large, then they are ready to launch an actual government..." Luxa stopped, knowing Velos wouldn't entirely understand.

Velos looked up at the fleet listening intently to what his Master was advising him. He looked up at the fleet wondering how he’d get up there without being spotted. It was puzzling to him how this feat would be possible but he knew he’d have to do something to help.
”Master…How will I get up there without being spotted? The only thing I can think of is…The ship from yesterday…But I’m not sure if I could pilot it and work the controls…” Velos’ voice faded quickly from confident to worried. He didn’t know his own limits at piloting as he’d never taken a ship into control by himself yet. He’d always had support during his lessons.
As he listened to Luxa go on about the government he began to get even more confused. He tried to contemplate what she had just told him but it just wasn’t working so he merely nodded in agreement.

Luxa saw the nods of Velos, but looking deep into his mind, she saw that he was entirely sure he could handle it. Mere confusion blocked Luxa from seeing anything farther.
"Velos, do not think about failure, think about victory. There is doing, and there is not doing. Trying is merely a myth. If you do not wish to handle this, then do not. It is that simple." Luxa began to see that she may have overlooked some traits of her Padawan.

Velos looked at her and sighed. To him it sounded like he’d upset her and just thrown away all belief in him she had. He wanted to prove her wrong and knowing she did believe in him gave him confidence.
”Okay. I’ll use their ship to go up into orbit and find out what I can. As soon as I know I will sneak away and dock further along the docking stations. I’ll be fine.” He spoke with a burst of confidence now and started walking towards the ship.
”I won’t fail you or Ryloth.” Velos said quietly to her as he began to run towards the ship. He was eager to help now.

"Good luck Velos!" Luxa said in a burst of breath as she ran towards the town. She didn't have much time. Defense preparations needed to be made.
She first went to speek to a Twi'lek man, Vos'Morgan. He knew most of the town, and would be able to rally them together. After meeting with him, they decided to split the town in two, and they would each prepare one half.
Luxa was in charge of the west side. She was ready to set out, and hoped for a major victory...

Velos quickly ran onto the ship in haste knowing from the altitude of the approaching fleet it would only be about 15 minutes until they’d go to land. Looking around the ship he rushed past the room he’d hid in the previous night and then got to the piloting quarters. Looking at the controls he gulped but steadied himself as he seated himself into the seat.
Glancing around him he noticed that the original pilot had left all the codes on a small side screen. A smirk emerged on his face as he turned on the engine and took a deep breath to relax himself. Almost instantly a rough voice came through the intercom.
”Aeros Sector 7. Do you read me? We’re landing in 13 minutes and we need your report on the planet’s life.” The voice spoke and Velos knew he might not have to fly but inside him he wished that he would.
”Yes I read you. I will tell you momentarily. But first can we go over the plan of action? I forgot after a small incident yesterday involving some of the slaves.” Velos easily faked a rough voice and when the intercom static started he knew he’d fooled them.
”Our plan Sector 7 is to storm the city. We will take every Twi’lek female with us and kill the males. We leave no one alive or uncaptured and after that we will take Ryloth as our own. You have the weapons ready?” The voice spoke again sounding confident. Velos held in his gasp of surprise and cleared his voice before speaking again.
”I understand. The planet seems to have quite a weak defense system and will be easy to take. The weapons are ready to use. I’ll stay down here so as to not cause any early worries within the city. Good luck on landing.” Velos then turned off the engine shutting down all the intercom system in the same flick of a switch. Climbing out the seat he knew he had to fight the weapons and report this to Luxa. Fast.

Luxa observed the western point of the city. Crowds had gathered, pointing at the fleet that would arrive soon. As soon as Luxa was seen, a storm of questions flew out.
Luxa remained calm, and simply stated, "All that are able to fight are to grab a weapon and report to me, all who can not are to head to cover at the Medical Center." The questions stopped, and the crowd dispersed into their designated positions. There were about 500 citizens on the western side of the town. Of them, only around 150 were willing to fight.
After seeing her recruits, Luxa asked if any had had miltary training. Around 50 raised their hands. She sent 10 of them, along with 15 of the other 100 men, to guard the medical center. Afterward she marched the troops to the center of the city, where she would meet her other allies.

The door crashed down into the blackened room. Now that sunlight could beam in Velos’ jaw dropped. Inside were racks and racks of weapons. They looked extremely military based and to Velos highly dangerous. He grabbed three of them to show to Luxa so the city knew what to prepare for. He had to hurry as there were only minutes left before the traders would be landing.
Lunging his weight off the ship Velos lightly landed on the desert sand and sped towards the town centre. He wasn’t sure that Luxa was going to be there but could sense a large gathering of people there. He hoped that Luxa was one of them. As he saw her standing before the people he sped up knowing this would help incredibly.
”LUXA!” His panting breath screamed to her as he rushed to a halt beside her. He dropped two of the weapons to the floor and held it up for her. ”This is the weapon they’re attacking with. Their plan is to capture the females and to kill the men. They’ll be landing in about 3 minutes.” Velos hurried to speak and looked up at Luxa. He felt proud of himself but knew it wasn’t over yet.

Luxa smiled at her Padawan, and was about to congratulate him, when Vos'Morgan interrupted.
"It seems, Master Jedi, that they have advanced weapons, and outnumber us. I believe our chances of winning our slim." he said.
"Well..." Luxa said, but was cut off.
"...I am a very well-known leader of this town, even by the enemy. I was offered a deal, the town for my life, and right now, I like the idea. The only thing in my way, a Jedi and her scum child!" Vos screamed as he charged towars two soldiers, stabbing them each with a dagger.
It seems just as this was happening, the fleet landed. "Velos, deal with the traitor, I must meet the fleet!" Luxa shouted, as she sprinted out to meet the fleet.

Velos looked up at his Master and then towards the male she stood beside. It seemed as though they knew each other but Velos wasn’t going to make judgments just yet. Listening to him speak Velos was about to argue but heard as Luxa spoke first. What happened next surprised Velos but he knew he had to stay calm.
”Got ya. Stay safe.” Velos called to Luxa as he stared at the leader of the town. He couldn’t believe what he was doing. He was no true leader if he easily killed his own people. Velos couldn’t believe him and knew he would have to do something about him quickly.
”Leave the citizens alone. No true leader would kill them off so remorselessly. If you want to take your anger out on anyone I’m right here.” Velos taunted knowing that the angrier the leader got the easier he’d be to stop without causing damage or harm to anyone. Or so Velos hoped as he stepped back teasing the leader into charging for him. He hoped his plan work as he didn’t want to cause death or injury today.

Luxa soon got to the fleet. Behind her was a small garrison of soldiers that had had mitlitary training. Luxa needed to act fast. They were outnumbered 3 to 1, so a plan was definetly in order.
Luxa got an idea, and sat down to meditate. As the traders exited their ships, Luxa lifted one of the carriers up. Through determination, and consentration, she easily controlled its movement. She threw it at the enemy.
Not only did it wipe out about half of the men, but confusion arose, and Luxa, along with her troops, rushed in to finish the job.

The leader, Vos’Morgan, was quick to charge at the young Padawan who had foreseen the move. Swiftly stepping to the side he watched as the older male rushed past him. Using a similar technique to earlier he extended his lightsaber and charged into the wall hoping to trap Vos’Morgan there. Unfortunately his plan didn’t quite go as expected as his lightsaber clashed again the metal knife and he found himself locked in a duel for whoever would give up first.
”Why would you turn on your people like that? Why?!” Velos shouted trying to keep his own anger under control. He was much younger than the leader so he knew he wouldn’t survive if time took its toll. Luckily however he was much calmer and was about to think of alternatives. Like abilities he possessed that Vos’Morgan may not have. He knew he had to act fast though.

To Luxa's surprise, the Twi'leks were much more skilled than the Traders. Within a half an hour of fighting two-thirds of the Traders were dead, while the Twi'leks had one or two casualties.
As Luxa had explained to her Padawan earlier, this was a test for Ryloth. After dealing with the main unit, she stepped aside and allowed the Twi'leks to fight their enemy.
Soon, the Traders were rushing for retreat. With the Twi'leks in hot pursuit, Luxa left the scene of the battle to check on her Padawan. She was very pleased with the results of the battle, and knew her trip would soon expire on Ryloth.

Velos jumped back causing the much more powerful leader to stagger forwards. Swiftly, Velos sped behind Vos’Morgan and wrapped his arms quickly around his shoulders holding him steady. Instantly the struggle began but Velos had a tough grip and was determined not to let go.
”You don’t get what being a leader means. Master Luxa would be a much better leader to these people than you. She wouldn’t kill her own people!” Velos said harshly into Vos’Morgan’s ears as he tightened his grip. He heard as the dagger clattered to the ground so he pushed Vos’Morgan forwards who fell to the ground away from the weapon. Taking the dagger into his own hands Velos slid it into his pockets and stood over the old leader of Ryloth. He still had his lightsaber in his hands and was willing to do anything to protect the innocent citizens.

Luxa returned to the town center, seeing Velos finish off the traitor.
"Very good my Padawan!" Luxa said. She was indeed pleased with the way the events had turned out.
"Victory is an important part of battle...but what is more important is what you take from that victory. What have you learned?" Luxa asked, knowing this would be the final test the Padawan would face on Ryloth.

Velos looked at the town officials and pushed Vos’Morgan towards them who quickly took him to the jail. He looked up at Luxa and nodded wanting to make a suggestion to her but listened to her first. The praise he received made her smile and he looked at her.
”Violence is not always needed to stop enemies. Sometimes other tactics can be used to prevent the outburst of violence. I understand now that battle is not always violence.” Velos explained and looked at the dispersing crowd.
”Master Luxa. Have you ever thought you’d be great as a leader for these people? They now need a new leader and the way you handled this situation showed amazing leadership. I think they’d be happy having you as a leader too.” Velos suggested sincerely and looked at Luxa wondering her view on the situation.
