Since we have so many Republic worlds on here that are as yet not represented by a senator, I think it would be rather a good idea to offer incentives to players who wished to make one; after all, the Galaxy can hardly be run by four people...
I am not for a moment suggesting that current senators are in any way rewarded, as that would be somewhat selfish! I simply feel that in order to have any sort of successful Senate, we need to encourage more people to create senators.
Please tell me whether or not you think this is a good idea, and feel free to propose any ideas of your own.

What kind of incentives are you thinking of?

I hadn't quite thought as far ahead as to actually decide what sort of incentives would be appropriate... ;D
Nothing too extravagant of course, simply enough to give those who make a senator an extra boost. If anyone has any proper ideas, it would be fantastic to hear them.

Perhaps you could have it that Senator-type characters wouldn't count against a player's character limit?

I doubt it.
I mean, you're allowed up to 4 (up to 8 with permission) characters. One being a senator wouldn't really take up a lot of room.

What about a different color for their name?
Admin=Red
Mod=Green
Next Gen=Blue
Senators=Purple?
or something of the sort... Id do it for a cool name color. lol

Well.... for now I have senators listed in my challenges thread. I think it's 6 karma points for creating one.  But otherwise, I really doubt there will be any other incentives for senators, or any kind of occupation/character, for that matter. |
