Appearance: Darr-Kal's vibrant bright blue eyes stare upon the world from his light bluish colored face still twisted slightly from the faded pale pink scar running along it's left side. The old Draethos has been gifted with a tall strong muscular frame straight backed and well hardened with training. He wars the short tunic and breech based Jedi knight clothing favored during his early knight hood. More abnormal is the leather and metallic jerkin he wares over the tunic and the lower arm and shin guards completing a kind of light battle armor suit. Around his waist is wrapped a wide thick leather belt decorated by a multitude of small silvery metal rings.

-Early Life-
Darr-Kal was born the second child to his parents Siln-Kal and Falc-Kal and their first son. Darr-Kal would spend the next twelve years of his life living as any Dratheos child lived with no indication he was any different than any of the others, but this would soon change just months before his thirteenth birthday. While accompanying a hunting group of older members of his tribe he was attacked by a predatory Darksca. Although the hunting group managed to drive it off he was left severely injured, requiring him to spend several months healing and leaving scars that even after nearly two centuries have yet to fade. It was at this time he would meet the person that would shape is future more than anyone until his jedi master. Iesl-Tei was a female Dratheos, and one of the primary healers for his tribe, however she held very unorthodox views for his people about life and how to treat it. Over the months he spent recuperating, and the years he spend visiting the wizened healer, her views began to have a greater impact on his own views. Iesl-Tei was a pacifist and had only barely managed to avoid expulsion due to the lack of healers in his tribe. As Darr-Kal grew older his desire to separate himself from all the other members of his tribe began to combine with his non-violent tendencies finally reaching it's peak when he became an adult and was expected to join his tribe's battle parties. When he refused he was exiled. Darr-Kal would spend the next six months hunting for a way off Thosa finally managing to gain passage on a cargo freighter to the planet Manaan
-Becoming a Jedi-
This is how Darr-Kal, alone and with nothing to his name, found himself in the great floating city of Ahto with no money, no usable skills, and with little knowledge of the people of this planet or any other. Eventually, he managed to get a job in the space port assisting the loader droids in loading ships and other miscellaneous manual labor jobs, including short periods of being a guard. Ultimately this would lead to him meeting his first jedi. Darr-Kal was working in hanger 222-11-A1 when the small transport freighter with a jedi master and her padawan landed. At this point Darr-Kal knew nothing of the jedi and did not recognize the pair for what they where, but he did recognize that the large group of Mandalorian bounty Hunters would cause trouble and went to warn the new arrivals before rushing out to confront the six mandalorians. It was not the first time he had confronted the mandalorians, they often came to antagonize new arrivals, nor was it the first time those new arrivals confronted them. It was, however, the first time anyone not overloaded with weapons was actually able force the mandalorians to to back down and never even raised a hand against them. The whole incident seemed strange to him, and it was not helping that he continued to bump into the younger of the two too often to be mere chance, particularly on a busy space port like Ahto.
After several weeks the older leader of the pair began to shadow Darr-Kal as well: it wasn't until several days later that Darr-Kal finally confronted the pair. It was at this time they babbled to him about the force and how apparently special it was despite the fact that he could remember many of his people doing things mention by them in the course of the years, but they did offer him something. Adventure along with them on their mission and join them on the planet of Coruscant the massive world city capital of the republic, both of which awakened Darr-Kal's interest and he quickly agreed to join them even if it was only for the journey it's self. One or the other jedi spent much of the trip to their destination
telling him about their order and the purpose of it, and of the recent war which had left it's ranks decimated by the so called Dark jedi, a group that, once described to him, made his blood boil. Though the whole trip was a bit low key and uneventful it was this trip that did much to push him towards joining the order.. Upon their arrival back on Corusant, the pair brought him to the jedi temple asking him to remain within the jedi courtyards until they returned, a request Darr-Kal was more than happy to oblige. Overwhelmed by both the temple as well as the world, he was pleasantly surprised to have the chance to wander in the quite of the jedi gardens; so much like his old mentor Iesl-Tie's own garden, was greatly appreciated. It was here he met the Human jedi master Elessa Komel who was working in a small area in them. He stood amazed as the jedi master some how seemed to be able to make the flowering plants grow at command. Kal waited several minutes before approaching her to investigate and was pleasantly surprised when the jedi was more than willing to take the time to answer Darr-Kal's many questions, and even inquired about Darr-kal himself. This was something only a few had been interested in, despite the rarity of his race, since he had been exiled from his world. He spent well over an hour speaking with the jedi master while he waited for the other two to return. Finally being taken away by the jedi padawan to the council, something he still didn't grasp the significance of until he found himself in the chamber itself at which point, while he still didn't know the nature of the situation could still feel the bearing of the jedi council. It was here that the current four jedi council members informed him that they wished to accept him into the order assuming a master would accept him. Though hesitant to accept, Darr-Kal asked for time to consider the invitation of sorts, a request that the council members where more than willing to accept bidding him to take as long as necessary to be sure of his decision. Darr-Kal took several days to make a decision, often visiting the first garden, as well as master Komel who reminded him greatly of Iesl-Tie. Over the few days they had a great deal of discussion and interaction and it came to no great surprise that when he chose to join the order that master Komel stepped up to take on the twenty year old Dratheos as her padawan learner.
-Apprenticeship-
To say Komel and Darr-Kal weren't a match was a understatement. Komel, a consular, would often clash with Darr-Kal, who was ever quick to action. Kal was different from is his master in one more obvious way, he always wanted to spend greater amounts of time in the field actively seeking to protect the peoples of the republic. It was surprising that as the padawan of a consular he never became more capable in the force, despite his natural affinity, but being a member of a relatively primitive race, Kal was quite skilled in the use of bladed melee weapons and quickly adapted to the use of the awkwardly balanced light saber employed by the order. Kal and his master went on many missions over the years from saving inslaved wookies to their finale mission on Mandalore where the pair managed so stop an attempted terrorist attack against several mandalorian civilian targets. During this mission Kal was forced to fight a pair of decommissioned assault droids while his master rushed to disarm the bombs. Despite receiving several wounds from the immense droid's weapons kal still managed to defeat both though not before several of the hostages fell in the battle something he agonized over the entire trip back to Corrusant. It was after this mission that the council made the decision believing that kal had succesfully completed his trials and learned the necessary restraint for a jedi to raise Darr-Kal to the level of Knight ending his twenty years as Komel's padawan learner though the pair would continue to precede on missions together for some time for sometime.
-Knight-
The beginning of Darr-kal's knight hood was a rather unassuming beginning. By volunteering to tutor padawan's on light saber skills at an enclave upon Dantooine. Kal loved to teach save for one thing, it meant that he had to be tied to one location, something he despised with a passion. For a time he managed to sub-due his adventurous urges, but in time it simply became too much and he began leaping at ever opportunity to go on a field mission of any kind. Within six years of his knighting it was a rare event to see Kal in any jedi enclaves, indeed to find him anywhere in "Civilized" systems of the universe. Nay, to find him one would have to find the nastiest, muddiest, and most overall horrid planet. There, one would find Kal happily trudging through the hell hole planet searching high and low for everyone and everything that could benefit from his presence.
