Jedi:
Name: Eris
Race: Arkanian (Near-Human)
Age: 32
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 110
Appearance:
Eris’s ears have a barely noticeable point to them; a small hint of her Arkanian heritage along with her milky white eyes. She also has short dark black hair, and a pasty white skin riddled with purple streaks. She has a very delicate frame, which is noticeable even under her billowing dark brown Jedi robes, and a face which is almost always locked in a solemn frown.
Birth place: Dantooine
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Grand Mistress/Council Member
Lightsaber: Single
Color: Purple
Bio:
Born to two simple farmers, Gowron and Shira, Eris’s life was pretty uneventful before she was taken to the nearby Jedi Temple on Dantooine; still having been quite young at the time. It was a tough decision for her parents to make but they believed the honour far outweighed the pain of loss.
As a youngling, Eris may have been considered a force user since she excelled at exercises like meditation and carried herself with a certain calmness which the masters found admirable and yet, this was only until they realised she was insanely lazy. It wasn’t that she was unmotivated, indeed she loved the thought of becoming a Jedi – it’s just that she felt she could do it in her own time and this disturbed the masters a little. It wasn’t enough to completely throw all of them off however as one named Sirnd, for some odd reason, decided to pick her up just as she hit twelve.
From there, she mostly did the odd mission or two; none convincing her to take her job more seriously however. That is until her first encounter with a dark side user. It was in an abandoned chemical factory, on a bridge that cut down the middle of the entire building. The mission was supposed to be the simple apprehension of a small time criminal but it ended up a trap, with an insane force user looking to add another notch onto his saber…

Aeries stumbled backwards against the onslaught of his attacks, his wild grin barely visible through the flashes of his swinging lightsaber. He was playing with her and all she could do was dance to his beat, hoping he’d not get bored and off her before Sirnd arrived. She wasn’t even sure if she was actually blocking as much as he was simply taunting her by striking out at her saber. Whatever it was, the small tremors of the dull strikes ran through her fingers and with each shimmer, she felt her grip weakening. And it continued like this until finally her hands couldn’t take it anymore, and as they absorbed the shock from the closing strike, she released her weapon…
The terrifying clatter of the saber hitting the ground, rang through her ears as she plopped down unceremoniously onto her buttocks. She’d lost. Too afraid to watch the attack that would end her life, she quickly bowed her head and tightly shut her eyes, shivering as she waited for it. She clenched her eyelids even tighter as she felt the warm buzz of energy brush past her but was shocked when she heard a clash, followed by a brief splash of sparks. She was still alive? Without another thought, she snapped her head up and opened her eyes, instantly meeting the sight of Sirnd struggling as he held back the crazed Dark Knight’s lightsaber with his own.
“Eris, move!” he shouted, gritting his teeth as the Dark Knight pressed forward. Unfortunately though, Eris was still too stunned, amazed that she was still breathing and not just a little frightened that it wouldn’t last. In one last effort to get her to move, Sirnd actually shoved her with his foot sending her tumbling to safety, but in his attempt to save her he’d made a gap just big enough for the dark one to take advantage and with a quick slice, Sirnd’s saber, and arm, hit the floor with a nauseating thud. Sirnd following soon after as he landed on his knees in defeat. Things were looking grim.
Slowly lifting his blade, the dark knight suddenly paused, holding off the blow that would end her master and with a whip of his head, Eris almost leapt back as he shot her an insidious look. Keeping his eyes on her, he slowly lowered himself and picked up Sirnd’s saber, bringing it up in a clenched fist which he pointed in Eris’s direction, basically offering it to her. She knew what he wanted, for her to kill Sirnd herself.
There she was, without her saber and with the possibility that even the slightest hint of force power use would set her master’s mad captor off – the situation truly appeared hopeless. And now the mad man was offering her these twisted, although chillingly tempting, deals. And she actually felt herself playing along, slowly stepping towards the Dark Jedi as her hand gradually reached out for the saber. She felt as if she wasn’t in control of her body as if she was really going to do it, until her eyes caught sight of the railing behind him; she didn’t need anymore than that and with a quick movement, her hand brushed passed the saber as she dove into the foul jedi, embracing him as she pulled him over the railing - sending them both plunging into a vat filled to the brim with all manner of toxic chemicals.

After several days, Eris awoke with her skin looking as it does this very day. Pale and riddled with streaks of blue. Apparently she was lucky to survive and they congratulated her as they announced that her battle had not only allowed her to pass one of the trials, but all of them.
She passed the trial of skill thanks to her first combat with a lightsaber. She passed the trial of courage, thanks to her bravery and surviving when the odds were against her. And, she passed the trial of spirit by avoiding temptation and by taking the more difficult route instead of sacrificing her master. All in all, it seemed like she’d done well until she realized they hadn’t mentioned one. They stepped aside to let her master in to explain the final one though…
It was then Eris learnt that she was sick and as she was, there was a chance she could die almost at any time. It also was explained to her that she would never really be able to reach her true potential and that if she pushed herself too hard, she’d only end up torturing herself by overwhelming the pain killers – which were now part of her regular diet. They’d accepted this as her passing the trial of flesh but Eris didn’t feel like celebrating then and just asked them to leave her alone, even her master.
As time passed, Eris took her training more seriously, unwilling to let something like the mission which had scarred her, happen again. And whether it was just because the missions were easy or she’d trained herself well, she didn’t have anything as “exciting” as the one she’d almost lost her life. She was finally given the rank of Mistress and a place on the Council by the time she hit thirty two.
