He stiffened at her words, and she tried to work out just what that meant from him. Shock no doubt, she certainly was right now, had been...would likely be for some time to come. Uncertain, she tried (barely) to move back from him, only to find him drawing her closer and lifting her up. Slender arms wrapped around his neck, her face pressing lightly into the material of his robes as he carried her into the room and settled her down on the bed. She didn't bother letting go of him this time, even as he spoke. For the second time she'd met him she wasn't sure to laugh or be upset at his words. This time she voted laugh.
A small, almost sarcastic sounding, chuckle escaped her before she shook her head. Aunna muttered something unintelligible into the cloth at his shoulder. There was silence a moment as she tried to figure out just how to get it though that thick head of his that he wasn't the least bit offending to the eye. At least not to her. Her shaking had stilled, mostly, as she'd continued to hold onto him, as if for some sort of anchor to reality. Now only every so often would a short tremor run along her body as she took a breath and settled herself further. Opening her mouth to reply to that first statement, he beat her to it with another comment and she tensed slightly, pulling her face away from his shoulder at last and gazing up at him. Just what did that mean then? Finally she gathered herself together enough to say something remotely coherent.
Three things...
First...you know very well that I don't agree with you views on the topic of your appearance.
Second...unsettling...why? I don't understand...
Third...I couldn't remember until today. I'd tried before...recently I mean...when we were on Coruscant...I asked you about visions for a reason. The transport they were on...I saw it falling before it did...and once it did..well, you were there....but it jogged my memory. I knew there was something I was missing...something important, but I didn't know what or why. Then again...when I...when I told you you could leave if you liked...there was a song. It felt...
She paused, letting go of him at last as she sorted through her memories and explained to him just what had happened.
...it felt like...like my force help me this sounds so insane....it felt like my future was dieing the way the words and the music just kind of...cut off. It reminded me of something also, like I'd heard it before. Today...today I realized why. All of this...what happened just now...it started because I started humming that song, then I started singing it and....well from there it was just flashes of memories cut and pasted together all over the place....but that song was in all of them. I wonder why I couldn't remember....
Her eyes had wandered away from his face as she spoke, gazing down at her hands instead as she toyed with the silver wings that hung on the chain about her neck. Finally, as she ended, Aunna looked back up at him...hoping for answers, but not really expecting any.
