Dozens of red lights flashed, bleeped, and overall got on Viktor's nerves. The fighter was simple enough, to someone who had basic training, but he had none. The three pirate's behind him didn't help matters much. They kept firing bursts of fire at him, which so far were being absorbed by the shields, the one meter he understood said that much. About 20% left, which wasn't very good. He kept weaving and ducking as best as the fighter, and what he figured out, would let him, but it was a losing battle. Eventually, the meter that had been telling him what the shield was like went red, and everything started sparking and a screech told him parts of the engine were being blown off. He managed to get about 500 yards further through the air, then things went against Viktor immediatly.
Then the fighter nosed down, despite him pulling on what had been keeping him up, he hit the ground hard. Screeching across the surface of Kuras IV, he noted, through the spinning, several pieces of the bottom of the hull on the ground behind him. Eventually, a snow bank stopped him, and he sat there, almost dead unconsious but managed to keep with it. The three fighters landed, and the pirates were talking amongst themselves, inaudible to Viktor. Soon, they left and he watched the outline of the pirate frigate leave orbit. Good, that meant he didn't have to worry about them anymore. Of course, freezing, or starving, were on his list now. But he found a red button, clearly marked DISTRESS. Pressing it, he sat back and went about regaining his senses, hoping some smuggler or trader noticed it while passing through.
