Varion walked through the entrance without any problems other than the fact that people were giving him some evil glares. Varion was pretty far down into the depths of the dark side. Probably not far enough to face physical deformities nor did he like the idea of getting the ever so common Sith tattoos. Still he was far enough that people got that "vibe" from him simply being in the room.
Hoping for a more obvious solution Varion walked along the self tour area examining all the machines as the churned out the refined Kolto in the form of Medpacs and also he looked at the Kolto Harvesters through the see through floor. He watched as the machines snatched up excess Kolto that floated up to the surface after braking off from the larger source down below.
Thanks to Revan and his exploits we were able to save our great Ancestor who now lives peacefully thousands of miles underneath Ahto city.
It was a key phrase Varion managed to pick up from one of the Selkath guides.
So that means that Revan has been down below Ahto City...now that is very interesting. Perhaps what this problem is, is in fact linked to Revan, and or can only be found beneath Manaan's surface.
(Don't know exactly how to proceed with this examination)

[[Are we going under the impression that Revan went Dark or Light? Dark would mean that the Star Forge is still around, among other things. Would affect some of the wildlife populations too ]]

(Yes. Revan was light side, so the Progenitor is still here and the planet still has kolto. Mmmm... canonness.)
A selkath worker scurried past Varion as he entered into the facility, but soon came to a stop, facing the off-worlder with a look of mixed distain and fear.
"What is is that you want?"
(Wow, short post.)

Varion's gaze shifted, now looking at the aquatic creature he knew he would have to play this next part perfectly. Digging through the being's thoughts Varion attempted to keep the Selkath's mind open for his next question.
Do you know if all kolto harvesting facilities are at the surface of the planet?
He paused briefly attempting to peer into the Selkath's mind as he searched for the answer. While he did this Varion posed another question to further rattle the thoughts hopefully revealing more secrets seeing as how the Selkath was a worker.
Also if that's the case what could be making the kolto get contaminated before it reaches the harvesters.

The selkath's mind appeared to be as useful as a piece of especially thick durasteel. As he spoke, his mind showed no sign that what he said was false.
"The harvesters are in the trenches, you idiot. Nothing down there to contaminate anything."

The dark Jedi winced at the insult his hand twitching from a reflex that he had to willingly hold back. That reflex was of course to grab the Selkath by the throat and either squeeze so hard that the fishy juices came out or cut off all his arms and legs with his saber letting the creature lay on the ground in agony. Varion could still get some useful information from the creature before he virtually disposable.
Then tell me this, are those harvesting facilities accessible to everyone or just the workers?
He didn't try to pry into the Selkath's mind realizing how utterly useless their entire race was other than simple kolto farmers.

The Selkath continued past, ignoring the angry angry person shouting at him as he tossed his answer over his shoulder.
"Sure, you can access them. Just figure out how to get past the Surface Scans, and then it's just a few hundred meters before you reach them. If your head doesn't explode first."
He said, laughing, as he went on about his work.

Varion mused that from the Selkath's impudent comment that he would need a submarine. Varion assumed that the Sith Embassy would have at least one in stock and decided to go there. All the while he could hardly take off the total lack of respect given to him by the fish. The more the Dark Jedi thought about it the more out of the stereotype it seemed.
As he left the Kolto Factory he continued down the streets, his hood up, his arms interlocked in his sleeves so they appeared to be non-existant, his mind picking up small comments along the way.
(To the Sith Embassy!)

Once again the Dark Jedi was walking around gaining the ungrateful glares from Selkath and humans as he walked down the street. It only served to fuel his hatred for these stupid fish. As he arrived at the facility he entered.
It was a stupid hunt, but he still felt that something was at the end of it. Something worthwile, a possible item, factory, fact, just something that could have great influence.
Immediately Varion approached one of the slimy Selkath and made himself look proper. For a pawn to truly be useful they must always be completely oblivious to the fact that they are a pawn. Varion was after all a steadfast believer in using everything to enhance his own strength.
Might I ask who I would talk to about a "Benefactorail Inspectionary Privelage"?
This time he already knew that he was going to crush this fish's mind if he treated him with disrespect. With a touch of the force one can become enlightened, but at the same time that touch of the force can destroy someone completely. A bit of horror influenced by the force would not be too hard for the Dark Jedi to summon up.

He spat on the ground...
There was no ignoring it now, that small presence that wasn't so small. That presence that Varion wanted to ignore simply so he could come to the end of this stupid search. The presence that he had noticed in his time resting at the embassy.
The presence came from the embassy and was "disruptive" to say the least. Varion gritted his teeth knowing that there would be a fight waiting for him if he hurried. He wanted nothing more than to test himself in battle, but he wanted to solve this idiocy as soon as possible as well.
With a swirl of his cloak he had made his decision...it wouldn't have looked good if he had simply let the embassy fall while making no efforts on his part to stop it.
<To Sith Embassy>

The Telosian Senator had arranged a meeting with the governing body on the water world of Manaan. To him this was an amazing experience, never before had he been able to peacefully visit another planet. Especially one as unique as Manaan.
Valor's sleek, silver shuttle cleared planetary entry procedures and continued to the elevated platform that was Ahto City. The Senator knew that times were rough for the Skelath, their precious kolto was losing market value with skyrocketing prices.
It was his goal to drive some plan of action with the Skelath government. He would propose aide in workers and in monetary trade with Telos and Manaan. This would relieve the plummeting market by putting goods in the market centers and money in the hands of the Skelath. Valor was a supporter of alternate health resources so he would try and stimulate the Manaan economy to more than Kolto.
Once landed, the senator departed his ship and made his way to the Dock officer and announced himself.
"Greetings, I have tried to make my arrival here as unnoticed as possible. I have arranged a meeting with the Skelath courts and I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction."
Over the noise of the Dock, Valore picked up urgent voices. There was talk of a Jedi force taking over the station. He wondered what the Jedi were doing here. It was not in their nature to attack a peaceful planet. No doubt the Sith had beat him here. The Senator would have to put down this Sith expansion here and try to preserve peace. The Jedi were good at handling their business but he was glad to arrive when he did.
First he would have to meet the council...

...Or not.
Valore turned as he saw a group of sith troopers rush down the hall. He felt a tinge rush down his spine, he tensed and stepped back expecting the troopers to stop him.
Much to his surprise they passed him and continued down the hall. The Jedi, they must be doing more damage than he had expected. He shot a glance at his greeter, the Skelath let a long breath slip his mouth and he tucked his head.
A fire burned deep within the senator, every bit of his military training tore at him to do something. There was an undeclared war happening on this peaceful planet. His fingers clenched in a tight first. But he wasn't that man any longer. Now the proper rules of engagement must be held, if he were to join the fight the sith would gain proper grounds to declare war.
With a hoarse throat he spoke to the native,
"Please I must speak with your council. Matters have gone to far here. I am a Representative of the Republic, I am interested in aiding in the Kolto crisis and... other domestic issues."
The officer gave a slight look toward the rushing sith then nodded.
"Of coarse, right this way. Please hurry."
The pair began their trip to the council chambers. The physical tension was beginning to relieve, but a sweat was gathering on his forehead. He felt blind with a numb rage and sick because he could do nothing.
His guide finally arrived at their destination. He turned and pressed a panel that alerted those inside to their presence. Slowly the Skelath spoke,
"We need your help... with no money, no kolto, and no peace... we have nothing left. Help."
With that the door slid open and Valore felt the cool air of the chamber hit is face. A literal chill fell down his back. He nodded to the native and stepped through the chamber entrance. The door slid close behind him and an erie silence fell over those in meeting.
"Greetings, I come in the peace of the Republic. My name is Senator Frey Valore of Telos. Word of the problems on Manaan have reached the ears of the Senate. I have come because your plight sits heavy on my sole.
"I am here to ask for your honor's permission to investigate the kolto crisis. I respect the isolation and neutrality on this planet so I understand if you do not wish our help.
"Furthermore I like to open the table to discussing a future with the Republic and Manaan. Hopefully we can lift the economic pressure on your people by expanding past kolto exporting and still maintaining your personal culture.
"I pray that we can come to conclusions here that can benefit both our cultures. The people of Telos are more than willing to help."
(I need a mod to RP the responce because it shuld be Sith / Republic / Seantor to Senator bias free.)

Hathorn Ze'lam watched the Senator enter and grimaced. The Jedi Knight could feel the force tingling. His master was in a battle, without him.
"I was just speaking to the council on that matter actually. You've come at a good time Senator Valore. I've been trying to gain all the information I can about the lack of kolto. The disapearance is...puzzling."
The Twilek jedi's braintails twitched everso slightly, the annoyance was shown in his body language for a short moment before he resumed the neutral look on his face. The young Jedi Knight was unsure on how to handle the situation. The Senator could help...or make the situation considerably worse.

(you said "court" in your post, this is a "council" of planatery leaders. Secret-ish so the Sith dont find out... for now. If you want us to be in the same place we can RP that out but for now what I had in mind was not court but a 'off to the side' meeting arranged by my aid)

[[The leading council of Manaan, is also the court judicial system as far as I know. Inorder to meet with you, they'd have to drop a Jedi Knight. That's more or less my point. If it was just a republic officer, they might kick him out...But as he's a Jedi, and Jedi are all mediatorish and stuff...]]

((Whatever, they are two separate threads. Peace))
The senator, looks around confused. Obviously the Jedi had things under control here. This was not his place to help. In any case he would be supporting a bill that would lead to synthetic growth of a healing agent that could readily be supplied to the Republic's forces.
He checked his data pad and knew his resources could better be dealt with on Dantooine. After all its salvation was the project after his own heart.
With that he left the "court" and his ship took off, likely his last visit to the strange watery planet.
