Fixer had started drinking his Caf early this morning. He had alot of work to do today. A lot of his hires had taken the day off. Only he, his droid engineer, and a couple of customers had stuck around. He had work he needed to do on the Racer, as well as a couple of Aurek fighters that had been sent in by the local authorities.
He slipped on his tool belt and had walked out into the Hangar to hear the strange sound of a Verpine speaking basic. It was a surprise though not unusual as Fixer had dealt with several verpine in his days working for Merr-sonn.
He poked his head out from around door frame to his office to peer at the new customer and stepped out, Caf in hand.
"Sorry about that, I was in my office. You mentioned something about a shuttle?" Fixer rubbed a sore shoulder standing a few feet away from the large insectoid.

Yes. A Theta-class T-2c shuttle.
I have no clue what is wrong with the hyperdrive. It started smoking and I haven't touched the thing since. It's also ran into some disrepair and I'd like you to run a full repair on most things that need to be fixed.
- The verpine looked about the shop, yet his black compound eyes never left Fixer. He had heard that the human had agreed to fix a most notorious bounty hunters ship. If Vaulix saw that coward he'd give him a peice of his mind. It irked him when a hunter though he was above the law and the code. Yet he shrugged off his annoyance for now. It was time to conduct buisness and afterwards he would move on amicably. -
Can it be done within four rotation cycles? (Days.)

(Ok well since its been so long I'm going to RP like brand new. I guess I'm going to assume its back down to Boss, Ribber, Raph'e, and the cyborg.)
Raph'e crouched under his military-issue starfighter, rummaging about in the spin coil assembly, doing his best to tweak the fighter towards its top performance. Any little boost he could get would be one more thing helping to keep him alive.
If a battle ever came, that was. Ord Mantell was a long ways from the front, and the Sith War seemed to be in a lull. still, it was always good to be prepared.
Raph'e hold on his bit-driver slipped, and the young mechanic let out a series of curses as lubricant squirted straight into his eyes. Dropping his tools, Raph'e jumped back, hitting his head on the fighter's armored plates as he did so.
Still cursing, Raph'e stumbled backwards, wildly attempting to rub clean his eyes. Finally, he shouted for help.
This wasn't a good day.
(Sorry, it's a little shaky, still trying to decide where I want to go. I hope thats enough to roll with lol)

Fixer saw his senior mechanic in a bind and offered the breifest of apologies to his customer before rushing to Raph'e's aid. With a little effort he helpped right the young fella and handed him his own oil rag.
"You ok? He said patting him on the shoulder. I'll get ribber to put a bucket under that. Then why don't you two take an early lunch or something." Fixer left Raph'e in Ribbers capable hands and went outside to sign off on the large ship now docking.
Jorgun should be pleased.

((And indeed he will be, =) lol ))
Jorgun Remained in the hangar bay for a few hours after the conversation he'd had with Fixer, the name of the manager he'd come to know. Though, Jorgun soon grew bored and decided to retire until the following afternoon. He grabbed his gear and his followers and headed out to the living districts. there, he got everyone a room at a local Hotel, and waited out for the arrival of his ship. He'd been told to wait a few days.... and so that was what he did. Pelle'gri seemed interested in what was on the holonet 24/7 and he was ok with it... she had never lived a life of luxory... and so he allowed it. On the 4h day of waiting he acknowledged the fact that his ship must be there by now.... and so he told his freind that he'd be back in a little while. And so he left her in the hotel room in the living district, area 2, zone b, room 322.
As he strolled towards the place where just a few days before he entered upon an agreement to purchase a ship, he coud not stop thinking about finding a new weapons builder, for he still needed his crushgaunts. But that was besides the point, he needed to stay on point.... his ship was in, and he wanted to see her. He had given the employees of fixer plenty of time to overhaul her and make her look spectacular, and now it was time for him to see the product of their work.
He stepped down one more time, and then he was there. He was in the hangar bay, staring at the wonderful piece of equipment infront of him. He didn't want to say anything just yet, so he waited y the entryway for someone to notice him and call him over. Hopefull it would be fixer, but it was no matter to him.... Jorgun knew fixer was a busy man.

Fixer saw Jorgun stareing at the ship from the cockpit and pressed a button on the console. "Come inside, I'm doing some pre-flight checks." Fixer let the ramp down and waited for Jorgun to enter his new ship.

"Yeah... thanks." Raph'e nodded to Fixer, then turned to Ribber, who, after putting a bucket under the ship, helped him clean his eyes and the rest of him. Once finished, they took a moment to share a kiss and warm emotions.
Raph'e smiled. Ribber always seemed to be able to make him feel happy. He ran to his quarters, quickly changing, before coming out again to take Ribber to lunch. He decided to hit a joint right down the street - Nerfy's. Raph;e ordered a couple burgers, and sat down in a booth with Ribber, finally allowing himself to relax.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They both came walking through the hangar doors, hand in hand, near the end of the lunch period. Outside, Raph'e noticed a large ship docked at the complex. No doubt another job nearing completion, he thought.
Giving Ribber once last parting kiss, accompanied by a rush of joyous emotions, Raph'e quickly changed back into his mechanics clothes and hit the deck once again. Feeling energized and full, he decided to take another shot at the starfighter. He'd get it done within the hour, no doubt.

Jorek came out of his room for the first time in what seemed like weeks, he had spent most of his time in there day after day just tinkering around, as alot of the work he had to officially complete was completed days earlier. He came out to go to the refresher, then grab a cup of Caf. On his way back he spotted Raph'e and Ribber sharing a tender moment in the hangar.
He would have continued but once again his implant interrupted his consciousness, for him it took him away to a relaxed and better place; in reality it made him stand there blankly staring across the hangar at Raph'e. When he focused back on his physical self, the moment was over, they were gone. Unknowing if they noticed him or not he continued back to his room.
He made his way down the corridor and with a hiss he stepped into his cluttered world of containers filled with various parts and components. He went back to the small work table he had, and continued his previous task of recovering some memory from a droid brain. He seemed absorbed in his work but he was far more absorbed in the actions just presented to him by his coworker. Jorek didn't know how to react, but somehow he disliked it. Not because of jealousy - he didn't really like Ribber all that much. Too quiet.
Something just didn't seem right it left something inside his head that resonated so greatly. Maybe it was the fact that he couldn't understand what he was feeling. His brows knitted together as he worked, furiously thinking about why he felt so dissatisfied with what he just saw.
He turned around in his seat and grabbed his datapad from the nearby toolbox he had, plugged it in and began the same diagnostic program he had ran on the same brain 4 times previously. Meanwhile he thought and finally came up with the conclusion that he hated affection. The thought of it made him uncomfortable and a little angry. He hadn't ever had any sort of companion save for a specially built droid to help him with his workings, but eventually he took it apart to make way for other things. He also saw other people at other places and points in time, but it never bothered him as much as it did right now.
With this he began to think about what he would do if he ever became so attached to any other person, the very unlikely possibility. He ran scenarios through his head - some were very pleasant and wonderful. Most were horrible, and surely mentioning them to anybody would be alienating. The diagnostic finished and Jorek read through the results, dissatisfied he tapped through the information wired to his datapad and continued thinking. Eventually Jorek got fed up with the entire category and decided that he should focus more on the task at hand, and should he encounter something like that again it would be best to avoid it or ignore it.
He continued to salvage what he could from the brain. Each time he attempted it, he got closer and closer to retrieving what he needed, but the problem kept changing. If he patched up one problem, another one was lined up to take the others place. Nonetheless he continued, determined to fix all the necessary problems. He kept tapping away and sorting, running several programs over and over again. This brain was so full of errors it was a miracle if Jorek would ever get it finished.

Jorgun stared blankly at his ship... it was much larger in person... and it was so graceful. It was an elegant piece of machinery. It would fly across space as a twilek felw up and down a dance pole.Furthermore, judging by the extra space he'd been promised it would be easy to outfit concussion missiles and beam weaponry this ship. It was perfect, and inside Jorgun was pleased with what the crew of the Lost Odyssey had done for him.
He continued forward... noting now that Fixer noticed him, he could not wait to test drive this machine.. He stretched his amrs in haiste and walked briskly to where fixer was doing a systems check on the engine and operating system. "And good morning to you to..."

"She's all yours Bounty Hunter." Fixer said as he uplugged the jack that connected his Data Pad to the ships diagnostics. Carefully he closed the lid and fastenned its thumbscrew. "Sign here, and the ship is your property. We'll assign it a signature, so you can leave orbit. After that, you can do what you want with it."
Fixer handed Jorgun the Data Pad and a touch stylis. After he had scrawled his signature, likely one of many, Fixer assigned the ship a Sig Code. With a smile he shook Jorgun's hand. "Be well Jorgun."

Jorgun nodded approval, then gathered his belongings... seeing as how Pelle' had not returned... probably ditching him, Jorgun decided it was time to leave. He punched in some codes in the navicomputer, checking to make sure everything was green-lighted, then turned on the engines.
The booming sound of the engines rocketing to life, was no doubt heard all over the complex. It was an exceptional feeling.. Jorgun now had a ship worthy of his skill set, and his prowess. While on the ground he was a dangerous foe.... and now in space he would be just as striking. He would in time come to call this ship home.. since it would be his only constant, for jorgun was always on the move...
The engines flared, and the repulsors kicked off, and the ship hovered into the air.... and then it rotated to the side, so that it was pointing to the exit of the main hangar area. Jorgun gave one last look to fixer, nodding as a warrior would for his gratitude, then Jorgun pushed the throttle up, and flew out of the hangar.
As he careened upwards into the atmosphere he tested the ships handling with small excersizes in pitch and yaw... a couple of rolling manuvers as well.
"Perfect.." Jorgun couldn't help but say. "Just perfect." The ship flew out of the air space into the gread void, where it would shortly jump to hyperspace... in 1, 2, 3... -jump-

<<Later>>
Raph'e stood near a pile of machine parts, looking over The list and description of the items below him. These would all have to be organized before he could use them for anything. He sighed. Such a waste of time. That's what they got for buying second-hand, he guessed.
He began separating them out, trying to impose some order on the cacophony of parts on the floor. Then he would move them by pile to the storage area.
Things were quiet again, which was nice. The ship and surrounding area was fully repaired and restored, and brought up to core standards. Fixer had left on some trip, however, leaving Raph'e to keep things running in his stead. That was fine, Raph'e had handled management before. He did miss the old mechanic, though.
He felt a sudden wash of happiness come over him as small arms wrapped around his waist, and lips touched the back of his neck. He stood up and turned around, scooping Ribber up in his arms and returning his kiss heartily. "How are ya, love?"
She smiled sheepishly, and he felt joy wash over him. She was feeling good, then. "That's good." He said. "What's up?"
She frowned, and pointed to a small astromech droid slumped in one corner. Broken, he gathered. That was someone else's job.
He got out his comlink and yelled into it. "Jorek! You there? I need you in the hanger, ASAP. We've got another Astromech down, I need you to fix it."

It had been several brains later Jorek had finally accomplished what he was doing, only the data wasn't what he was looking for. 'That's life.' He thought, laughing quietly to himself. He deleted the data and placed the now vacant brain amongst one of his many storage crates to be reused in another one of his ongoing experiments. He laid back on the small cot he had, enjoying the amount of satisfaction he gets after each and every time he completes something he had been working on for a while. Sure, he didn't really get the data he wanted, there was no reward, but Jorek had and always will love the challenge and quite that comes with working with machines. There was always a right and wrong way of doing things, a solution to every problem.
He lay there swimming in his good feelings, watching as the Network slowly etched its way onto the back of his eyelids, text slowly forming out of a pool of black. Then it got fuzzy ad quickly disappeared as a voice crackled out of the comlink, Jorek snapping back to reality. "Yeah, I'm here. I'll be right down.", He said, walking out the door. Within a minute he came around down the hallway entering the hangar. They were there in a deep warm embrace, both arms twisting around each other, their faces close enough that they could smell each others breath. It made him sick. He walked past them, giving a brief resentful glance to both of them, kneeling down to give a visual inspection of the astromech. He took out one of his tools and popped a hatch on the left side. "There's quite a bit of dirt in here, need to change some of the servo lubrication. Probably wouldn't hurt to give it a a good bath too." Jorek explained, trying to ignore the couples intimate moment going on right behind him. He rolled his eyes at the thought of it.

They stood there for a while, holding eachother and nuzzling. He almost didn't notice Jorek walking in. He caught the resentful glance and felt slightly embarrassed. Jorek wasn't a fan of public displays of affection. He began slowly separating himself from Ribber as Jorek began looking at the droid.
He stepped over, looking over the cyborg's shoulder. He shook his head. They needed all the workers they could get, loosing an astromech was not good. "All right, do what you need to do then, Jorek. Once that's fixed, I need you to plug into the Aurek fighter squadron we've been working on for the military. The flight computers are freakin' out, and it ain't the mechanics that's the problem. You should check them out, see what you can do."

Jorek nodded at the other orders as he poked around inside the chassis with a small pick, dislodging some of the larger hunks of congealed grease and sand. This was one of the more tedious and boring tasks that Jorek wasn't so fond of when he worked with droids. To him it seemed there was too many things that aren't taken care of when they build them. So much dirt, it seemed that droids did nothing except collect dirt instead of do the tasks they were programmed to do. It was good though, for him he thought. It gave him more time to just chill out and think, given that 'thinking' for him always included using his implant and tuning into the Holonet or some other kind of information channel. He was always listening in on something happening somewhere.
He got back up from kneeling position puttered over to one of the grav-loaders and heaving the astromech onto it, hovering it over to the large vat of oil, lifted it off and eased it in touching the bottom with a soft plunk. Jorek reached over to the side of the pit and pushed a button to activate the agitators. He walked out the hangar door and looked out to the rest of Ord Mantell, the ships and speeders sailing through the sky. It was a pretty magnificent day but he didn't have time to admire it which was something he rarely did anyway, another cloudless day was pretty much the same as a stormy one to him. He walked across the lot and slid into the cockpit of the nearest Aurek, grabbed his datapad out of his back pocket and plugged it in, launching the diagnostic automatically.
It seemed a little out of place the Republic's technicians didn't find the problem, flight computers were pretty basic systems. It also piqued his interest that they'd contract a small time operation like this to find the problem. Weren't the technicians good enough to handle something like this? They are supposed to be the best in the galaxy. Jorek could only speculate as he waited for the dianostic to finish running and give him a report.

Jorek nodded at his request and continued to work. The guy didn't talk much, and that could be awkward at times, but he got his work done, and did it well. That was good, Raph'e needed good workers. A lot of people had drifted in and out lately, he'd had trouble finding good, long-term employees. He needed all the good hands he could get, the way orders were coming in these days.
He looked back at the pile. He would have to take care of that stuff, then take a look at a freighter some old spacer had brought in a day ago. Apparently the hyperdrive wasn't functioning. It probably wasn't something big, likely a fried circuit or a coolant leak...
He found himself daydreaming, rather than working on the task at hand. It was a lazy day, to be sure. He knew he wouldn't get anything done if he had to do this menial labor himself. He motioned a droid over, and pointed at the pile. "Separate the parts into piles according to type, and store them."
He kissed Ribber good-bye, and went to the ship, making his way back to the hyperdrive housing. Eager to be doing something interesting for a change, he dived into his new job.

As soon as the diagnostic finished the datapad read out what was wrong, Jorek was a bit disturbed. The flight computer had a few minor discrepancies but there was one major bug that caught his eye, a bug that is relatively benign at first but over time escalates and feeds wrong data to the pilot. It tricks the control system into thinking it is fine, but in reality the engine could be overheating, the cockpit could be breached and leaking air or radiation. Pretty serious stuff, but it only makes maintenance a little more tedious.
The technicians probably used only the pilot interface to check if anything was wrong, they didn't look at the actual code behind it all. 'Amateurs.' Jorek thought with amusment. This was the kind of thing he also enjoyed; being better than most people who make a living for doing what he does for fun. Only now he was kind of making a living from doing it too. That made him double take upon his introspection. He shrugged it off though, the entire experience of being in the cockpit. He shrugged off the bug, his speculations, his introspection. All of it. He stepped out and inserted a datawafer to an awaiting astromech. "It's all there, you should know what to do. I'll be in the garage taking care of your friend." Jorek said, looking down at it.
Back in the garage he continued his 'checkup' of the astromech from earlier. He shut it down, opened up the chassis once more and began removing the major servos with an arch wrench, working slowly and silently, cracking open each individual one and lubricating the gears within. While he was at it, he thought it would be a good idea to give the droid a memory wipe. After all this was said and done, he booted it back up and sent it to work again. Jorek looked out of the hangar towards the noon sky and the bustling city and let out a deep sigh of accomplishment. A job well done!

At first, it seemed that the Hyperdrive would need some replacement parts: the alluvial valves were firing badly, causing instability in the Hyperdrive flux control and quickly dropping the ship out of hyperspace shortly after any jump. Upon closer inspection, Raph'e saw that he could do it much easier and faster; and also save the ship owner some money.
It just needed some rewiring, a few modifications, and new connections. With a little work he could jury-rig the valves to fire properly, and then a full tune-up after that would make everything good to go.
A few hours later, he was finished. He really felt good today. He gotten gotten into sync with things quickly, and had been caught up in his work from the start. Whenever that happened he found that he worked much faster, and put out much higher quality work. He did a quick diagnostic, interfacing with the hyperdrive and navigation computers while at the same time defragmenting and cleaning their drives. That would make sure that nothing in the computers inhibited hyperdrive function, either. Once everything checked out nicely, Raph'e returned to the hanger deck.
He found Jorek standing there, staring out at the sky. He came to stand beside him, wiping his hands on a few towels. "Nice day. It's about noon, eh?" He looked around; the place seemed pretty dead. "What do you say we close down for an hour or two and treat ourselves to a nice lunch? Maybe go to the park too? A day like this shouldn't be wasted inside, and besides we're already pretty far ahead this week, we can spare the time."

Jorek kept staring out after Raph'e came up from behind him and initiated small talk, brows knitted in perpetual deep thought. The entire planet was bustling away to spur on the rest of the galaxy, making events happen right before his eyes, the light of the sun spreading out across the horizon, with the sound of of vehicles and animals creating a distinct droning sound. The sound of civilization as most of the galaxy knows it. The sound was intoxicating, numbing, and strange but Jorek enjoyed it and found it akin to the sound of a newly manufactured properly running engine.
After a little bit Jorek realized how awkward this silence must be for Raph'e. "I suppose we could. The droid I assigned will probably be done with the flight computers by the time we get back." He said, still staring at nothing specific. It was a 'good' day. But Jorek thought it was a good day and admired it because of just how efficient everything seemed and how everything from a glance seemed to serve a purpose, not for its aesthetic qualities. He turned his head slightly to see if Raph'e was staring at him, he realized how odd his mannerisms were. His implant had nothing to do with it, his aversion to people made him as unusual as he was it could also be in part to his time spent around droids.

They stood there for a moment, watching the skyline. Jorek didn't respond, and Raph'e didn't care. He realized the silence was awkward, but he wasn't the kind who needed constant conversation to feel comfortable. Hell, if he did, how could he ever stand to be with Ribber? So they stood, and Raph'e soon was lost in the skyline, the ships buzzing about, the clouds rolling across the sky...
Jorek spoke, knocking Raph'e out of his reverie. He was a strange man, but that was ok. Raph'e had spent most of his life learning from and working with eccentric scientists and engineers, and he had seen even stranger types in his childhood in the slums of Coruscant and out here on the Rim. He had come to appreciate strangeness: if everyone was normal, life would just be so boring...
"All right, hang up the 'closed' sign I guess. I'll go get Ribber, be right back."
He turned and made his way to the building's offices, where Ribber would be attending the receptionist's desk. He found here there, and took her back out front. Once the place was closed up, they set out for the Savrip...
