Fixer followed Raph'e to the Turbo Lifts. He had to admit the guy knew his way around a ship. Almost more than a civilian aut to know, but that made no sense he'd have presented military crudentials had he been in the military. Then he thought back to the holo news article he'd read. He worked for a large firm once. He probably knew this old model like it was his hand. Raph'e's sense of direction did not lead them astray. They approached the lifts and called the lift to their level, and it approached with a soft hiss. The door oppenned to reveal a badly damaged lift deck. Fixer stuck his head inside and peered around as Raph'e did the same. The view to the bottom of the lift was unobstructed.
"Best if we weld a few grateings in here I think, before we take the lift up. How about we try and access the secondary bridge computer from the hangar remotely. We will have restricted access but that doesnt really matter. I just want a readout on all the damaged systems. We need to patch this things electrical, and shut down the systems that are beyond repair." Fixer said as he removed his head from the path of the lift doors as Raph'e did the same. The lift doors closed with a groan making fixer grind his teeth. "mmm" Fixer groaned after the lift returned to C deck. "More work." Fixer said with a sigh. "Alright back to it. Lets wrap it up I could eat the flank off a Gundark!" He said as they turned and headed back to the Hangar.

Raph'e smiled as they found the lift. His instinct hadn't failed him after all. The smile was gone as they surveyed the lift, though. Everything wasn't exactly in good repair.
He grimaced as Fixer spoke. They would be at that for quite some time. "Sounds good. It'll take a while, but I think we can get through it pretty fast. This place'll be nice fixed up and all."
Turning, he started off with Fixer towards the hanger. "Yeah, let's get outta here and have some fun."

Raph'e and Fixer easily tapped into the channels of the ships computer monitoring systems remotely from the hangar terminal. Things didn't look too good. Forgetting that the ship was only half of what it was, There were eleectrically damaged systems all over. Some seemed beyond saveing. It was no wonder the reactor had gone offline. The ship was leaking energy like a seive. The only real option availbale, was to reroute the reactor so that it created a feedback loop, so the reactor regenerated itself, just so they wouldn't have to go through the difficulty of starting it up again. When everything looked all patched together for the night, the little party broke to wash and change for their night out on the town.

Fixer wandered in through the front door and flicked the lights on. Followed behind closely by "App" and Ribber. He rubbed his greasy face, his belly happy. With dreams of his hangar bay cleaned up, and finished. He trundled off to his quarters, leaving the couple to their devices.
((Ardenator, I'm giving you permission to use Ribber. You can develope her as a love interest. A friend, whatever, just remember the site is pg-13. Consider her past, and be sure to play her the way you think is appropriate.))

Fixer removed his darkenned goggles to look at the weld he had made on the grateing in the elevator. He hung from a teather in the elevator shaft, the elevator part way up the shaft above him. The soft clink of the a free peton tapping against a hood tapped out a tatoo in the silence He had sent Raph'e into one of the aft sections of the ship to repair areas of the ship he found there. There was a power drain somewhere that was sucking energy in the area of the upper decks. He was still wondering how the hell the ships reactor hadn't reached critical mass.
He ran his gloved hand over the weldment looking at the bead. He nibbled at his lip in thought. With a sigh a renewed vigor he slipped his goggles back down and arced the fusion cutter again. A small spark of flame began melting bits of the grateing together.

Jorek walked into the back section of the of The Lost Odyssey, into what could have been a makeshift parlor and front desk. No one was sitting there. He decided to look around first and maybe try and find someone. He went through the first open door he saw into an overlook to a hangar bay. No one. There was a ship down there, but it did not seem like anyone was anywhere. Jorek went back to the front desk area.
"Hello? Is anyone here?I'm looking for a job...", He shouted. He waited for a second, then he started looking around the small parlor for a sign or something explaining the absence of people. "HeeeLLLOOOO!!! I'm looking for a job!!!!"
He knew he didn't really need this job, if he wanted he could just slice the bank security and take what credits he needed but he figured a little social interaction every once in a while would keep him sharp and decided to test his skill against others of his trade. And there was also the chance that he wouldn't get the job anyway. If anything this will be for a little fresh air.
Jorek sat down behind the desk and waited.

The fusion cutter had left his work clothes marred from carbon ash, and grease from the turbo lift, but the Job was done, at least the damn thing was servicable again. Fixer was wandering into the main hangar for a cup of Caf, and realized something odd. Ribber was not at the front desk, or at least it didnt look like ribber.
Fixer was unsure of Zeltron physiology, but he was almost certain that shape shifting was not among their many skills. Sitting in the front desk was a scrappy fella, about Fixers age. Maybe a little younger.
Fixer pursed his lips in thought briefly in contemplation of this strange visit. It didnt sit well with him. Where was the dog? His eyes searched for the hound. That dang dog was supposed to keep customers at bay if no one was around... After a moment of searching his eyes found the dog happily passed out inside an engine mounting. He sighed briefly and shook his head.
Ribber must be flirting with Raph'e somewhere, the dogs passed out, and here we have a potential customer. He shrugged off his humored frustration and approached. When he got close enough to be in ear shot he cleared his throat.
"Hey there, can I help you?" Fixer said, displaying the name patch of his worksuit.
He rubbed grease and dirt off his hands with an equally dirty rag he had hanging from his belt.

"Hey! I almost thought no one was home. I hope I'm not intruding or anything, I just figured I'd wait here since there was nobody around. I'm Jorek Telayen. I am here about a job opening...", Jorek said as he got up out of the desk seat and extended a hand towards the grease monkey.
He tried smiling a bit, but it wasn't really in his nature. For second he looked around the place, then out of pure habit he sliced the the city records and pulled up the floor plans to this small shop and a history of it. "I hope I'm not too late. I know my way around a space ship and I am also skilled with code work and programming."

Fixer extended a slightly dirty hand and took Joreks hand in his. It felt a little cold and clammy. "Well as you can see there are a few people here. I'm Rev Rafixerly, you can call me Fixer. Ribber is the one you'd have normally met if you walked in here on a normal day, but she seems to be taken with my newest hire. A mechanic and pilot named App." Fixer said after a firm shake of the mans hand. "I'm actually a little bit surprised that the dog didn't come over here and give you a sniff or two." Fixer said as he looked over at the slice hound. They watched as the large spiney dogs paws twitched, as he chased down a falumpaset in his dreams.
"Piney." Fixer said loudly, and the dog snorted and jerked awake. It looked at him a moment and the strange person next to him. With a slow groggy motion, the dog jumped down from the engine mounting and walked over slowly, wagging its tail, a little its head bowed in a guilty posture. Piney approached the stranger and sniffed at him. The dog took a long time checking out Jorek. He obviously smelled like something interesting.
"Piney, come'ere boy, you can check him out more later." Fixer spoke at the dog, who bowed his head and wandered over to his little matt in the corner of the hangar. He walked two circles and landed on it with a soft whump.
Fixer turned his attention back to the man standing at the desk.
"So your a programmer eh? What sorts of projects have you worked on before?" Fixer asked as he wandered over and poored Jorek and himself a cup of Caf each, and walked back over handing it to him.

"So your a programmer eh? What sorts of projects have you worked on before?"
Dammit! Jorek had completely forgotten that applying for a job of this caliber actually meant that he needed to have some sort of actual training and sources of credibility. Jorek for the most part had been self taught besides the few tips and lessons he got from the more professional and veteran members of the Machine Legion. To land a job like this he needed to actually have a qualification to do the work so that he didn't get the employer sued.
"Well actually I am more of a self taught individual Fixer. I have been told by other more experienced individuals of the same field that I am very talented and on some occasions that I am better than them. But sadly they cannot prove this, for I have not been in touch with any of them for about 7 years. They got into a little trouble with the security forces..." He couldn't tell him anything else but the truth, there was no avoiding it. He looked away from his would be employer with a small bit of shame and scorn. He knew this would be the breaking point. Jorek should just walk out the door right now.
"However if you give me a chance to prove myself, I'll be sure not to disappoint you. Go ahead. Give me your worse programming nightmare." Jorek hoped his last gambit to land this job was enough. Fixer seemed like he would give him a chance, but who knew? He just met him after all.
Least it wasn't all bad. If Fixer turned him down he could just go back to slicing bank accounts.

Fixer remembered the tough times when he was younger. When landing a Job meant experience. What a waste.
"Well lets see what we can do with you. I think alot of the data and systems of this half of the ship are still intact." Fixer said quietly as he typed up the entry codes for the ships systems. "Ok I got something for you. Figure out where all the power drains are coming from on the ship. Record them all, and shut off the ones you can. When your done report all of them to me." Fixer said as he picked up his Caf. "Help yourself to the Caf. When lunch rolls around I'll wrestle something to the ground for you. I have to get back to work on A deck, and eventually the bridge."
Fixer took a sip of his Caf and walked over to the main hallway that led to the Officers Quarters, the turbo lift, the crews quarters, and the engine room. On the way there he bumped into Ribber, who he gave a look of interest.
Her response was a rather embarassed smile, and flushed cheeks. "We have a new hopefull outside in the Hangar, keep an eye on him. He'll be manning your desk station for a little while." Fixer said softly before moveing on to the Turbo Lift.

"Thank you." Jorek watched the mechanic walk down the hall way. He walked over to the Caf machine and grabbed himself a cup of it. Walked back over the the front desk and sat down at the computer terminal. Well. That went better than expected. The gifted slicer thought as he sat began picking through the files on the terminal, deciding how to go about finding what the man asked for. He could have probably done it faster by using his cyborg headband, but for aesthetic reasons he decided to keep it manual.
About an hour passed by and two cups of Caf later Jorek had a completed list of all the leaks he found and was able to shut off. He loaded them onto his datapad, and set off to find Fixer. After a small while of wandering around the corridors he realized that he had no idea where Fixer was or where he was going. Jorek did not particularly care whether or not he knew where he was going, he needed to get to know this if he was going to work here.
A few turns later through the hallways and up a turbolift Jorek found Fixer on the bridge.
"Here you go, I was able to fix about 2/3 of them. The others you might need to find replacement parts to fix.", Jorek explained as he handed the datapad to Fixer.

((No Stairs, the turbo lift works though, and its just down the hallway from the Hangar. Its a bit of a scary ride though if you don't appreciate heights, since you can actually look through the floor. I'm thinking I need to draw up a map.))
Fixer took the Data pad and look over the info a moment. "Son of a," He mumbled as he glared at the data pad. "Half of these are under the ship! I swear the universe has a sick sense of humor." Fixer made a copy on a data disk and slipped it into one of his many pockets. "Alright then, that was pretty impressive. I tell ya what, you seem like a capable guy, and you look like you could use this job. So I'll hire you on." Fixer said handing Jorek back the data pad.
"I need bridge access, access to all systems. Once your through with that, we can talk efficiency, and then eventually speeding things up." Fixer looked over at the smashed window of the bridge. "You might want a coat, or one of our work suits, it can get chili in here if you arent cutting or welding." Fixer looked the man up and down a moment. "If you don't have a place in town, or the commute is difficult. You can live in one of the officers quarters, downstairs, or in the troop barracks. I have the first room off the dock, Ribber occupies the first mates quarters, Raph'e has the third. You can have the Navagators quarters if you like. Or you can have the captains quarters if you are dyeing to fix it up, the door is right over there." Fixer pointed to a hydrolic door that was makeing little bumping sounds as it continued to bash its busted frame against a piece of broken fiber cord.

"Well I do have a place in town, but I'll move in here just to get to know you guys better. I'll just go change into a suit then." Jorek said, walking toward the locker room. Simultaneously he accessed a network through his cyborg implant and notified his landlord he was moving out. Jorek cybernetically arranged someone to move his stuff for him as well.
After slipping into a worksuit he went back to the Bridge where Fixer still was. "Alright. I guess I'll take up in the Navigators Quarters. I hope you don't mind if I move in some off my personal affects from my old place." There was a brief pause in Joreks sentence as something on one of the channels he was connected to caught his attention.
"What was it you were saying about full bridge access?" The slicer asked as he briefly retreated back into his mind for another second, then came back to reality.

Fixer watched as Jorek seemed to be thinking.
"What was it you were saying about full bridge access?" Jorek said his mind seemingly elsewhere. Fixer gave him a look of confused interest for a brief moment and wiped it off his face.
"Well, basically, I want you to reorganize some things." Fixer said as he laid down on a repulsor sled and slid underneath the bridges sensor control unit. Slightly muffled he continued. "I need all the ships commands back in working order. I want all the ships manual controls to be able to be run from that station your standing at." Fixer said between cranks of a hudro-spanner. "I'm sick of crawling through access ducts, and air vents. I don't want to have to wander down into the head to eject its contents anymore." Fixer said as he stuck his head out from underneath the console. "I suppose all I want is for things to be a bit easier for us around here. It would be great if we could get connected to the Holonet. Get access to Planet wide comms. Well, that wont happen till I fix this, but you get the idea." Fixer said as he slid back under the console.

(Sorry!)
Raph'e stood up, surveying his handiwork. The coolant line looked as good as new, the shiny new piece of equipment installed beautifully.
Too bad the rest of the aft section didn't look the same.
Raph'e shook his head. He didn't know where to even start. All the vital systems had been repaired by Fixer before, but everything else was totally trashed. Coolant, power flow, hydrolics, fiber-optics, electromagnetic couplings, all were in disarray. The energy and circuit issues aside, many physical things were in need of repair as well. Vents, doors, gratings, a turbolift, literally hundreds of things were damaged in some way. The mechanic shook his head in defeat.
Supportive feelings suddenly welled up inside of him, and Raph'e smiled. Turning, he saw Ribber standing behind him, a snack and beverage in hand. Communicating with feelings had taken some getting used to, and especially Ribber's way of implanting feelings inside of him, but the mechanic had enjoyed it. Stepping forward, Raph'e kissed the Zeltron woman and took the offerings. "Thank you."
Ribber smiled in reply, making her feeling known inside him. It was a warm feeling, something he really liked.
Fixer had left the couple to the exploration of their feeling for one another the night before, and the evening had turned out to be an invigorating and passionate one. The morning had been a late one, but Fixer hadn't given them too much flak. After that, Raph'e had been sent to the aft of the ship to work, and Ribber back to her own duties. They had not seen one another for hours.
Suddenly a feeling of slight urgency: Ribber couldn't stay for long. Setting the drink and food aside, Raph'e stepped closer to Ribber, enfolding her in his arms and kissing her softly on the lips. For a moment they stood there, holding each other and exchanging emotions and facial expressions. It was a strange way of communicating, and a little frustrating at times, but Raph'e found it a pleasant change from the usual. Soon he started getting new emotions. Surprise, interest, slight fear and distrust, caution...
Raph'e arched an eyebrow. "A new hire?" The Zeltron nodded vigorously. He felt a sense of pride at discerning the womans meaning. "That's nice. We really need another hand. I suppose I'll meet him later."
Another feeling, sadness. Ribber had to go. Nodding understandingly, Raph'e gave the girl one last big hug, pressing his lips against hers one more time. Then, they parted, sending waves of parting good feelings to one another.
After watching Ribber disappear down the hall, Raph'e turned to his snack. His good mood was even better. Quickly consuming the snack and drink, he flipped on his comm. "Fixer, it's "App". The coolant lines are all fixed back here now, no need to worry about any toxins anymore. This is going to take me a while though. Everything I look at 's busted. I'm gonna move on to the power flow problems back here next, ease the pressure on the reactor a bit. Call me when it's break time, won't you?"
Picking up his things, he began walking towards the local power station, awaiting his employer's reply.

Fixer heard Raph'e over his comlink as he finished a touchy weld. He flipped up his face shield and looked at it a moment, nibbling on his lip. With disdain for the irritating weld, and slow a movement of his hands, he pressed his comlink and set it to Vaux so he could continue transmitting.
The soft fuzzy noize of static was heard over the comlink for a moment as Fixer moved to the next weld.
"Thats great news App your worth your weight in Hutt Bullion. Our new guy Jorek here has been going over the computer systems up here. He was digging up hot spots in the electrical circutry down on C deck. Over near the main flux transfer coupling." Fixer laid down his fusion cutter and picked up his hydro spanner. "I am thinking that in about 30-40 we should slip off to lunch, but I want the hot spots down on C deck taken care of before we do that. I'm almost done here with the Sensor Control Unit... I may need to run a bypass through here so we can get comms." Fixer made an audible grumbling sound. "Anyway, once we can get the comms unit working we can order one of those meat pastries with the Nerf Cheese on top... get it delivered." Fixer stripped the bolt he was twisting with the hydro spanner and cursed softly. "Sorry... Anyway once I'm done up here I'll send you a com, and we'll meet at the turbo lift, head downstairs onto C deck and get those hot spots taken care of. Once we're through with that we'll break for lunch. Sound good App?"

Purple, green, red, yellow, green. Pictures, sounds, feelings, more pictures. A billion things flashed by in Joreks minds eye. Emotions, more sounds. Suddenly amongst the millions of strange concepts he found what he was looking for.
"Alright. I got what you wanted done. You should be able to access all of the commands and they were patched as much as possible. Yeah, lunch sounds great right about now."
Jorek had sliced right into the comm through the other waves passing through the ship using his cyborg implant. "Is there anything else you need fixing before we grab something to eat, if you do, make it something simple. That last job took me quite a while."

Fixer peered at Jorek from underneath the Communications Console and clipped it shut. "oh, lets see, something simple. Now that comms should be working, order us a some take out from somewhere in Worlport. When your done with that, see if you can get the sensor systems up and running if you can. I need to run down to B deck and meet App, we're going to tackle some of the energy hot spots down there you found for us."
Fixer slid out from underneath the sensor and communcations station and powered down the repulsor sled. With its repulsor off it gently descended to the floor.
"Oh yeah, in case you need to reach me or any of the rest of us, you'll probably want one of these." Fixer produced a wrist comlink from one his pockets and handed it to Jorek. "Just tap up our individual codes or just transmit broadband, and you should reach somone." Fixer propped the repulsor sled up so it would be out of the way. "See you in a few for lunch." He said, as he started his way to the repulsor lift.
He quietly tapped his comlink. "App, I'm done up here, how are things where you are? I'm going to head to my office to do some paper work, let me know when your done." He said as he stepped into the turbolift, and pressed the button for B deck. The doors closed with a hiss.

Raph'e nodded at Fixer's orders. "Sounds good. I'll be here working at the power station. App out."
He switched off the comlink as he neared the power console and access door. Something here was causing a lot of trouble, and Raph'e wanted it fixed before they moved on the C Deck. Stepping up to the console, the mechanic began touching buttons, bringing the station off of stand-by mode. A moment later, fingers dancing across the keyboard, he began diagnosing the problem. He eyed the results on the computer screen.
Years ago, during some ancient battle, a power surge had damaged some connections in the nearby panel. Power was leaking out into the structure itself. His eyes widened in surprise. They were lucky they weren't all dead yet. Working quickly, he locked down the system, doing everything he could from the console. Then, setting down his toolbag, he removed the panel, diving into the series of cables, tubes, and circuits.
Instantly he found the problems. A power conduit had shorted out, and two cables were nearly split in half. Taking a plasma welder, he began working on the damaged systems. He moved quickly. Fixer would be done soon, and besides, this system was critical. He shook his head in relief at his discovery. If he hadn't, accessing the problems on C might have fried them.
A few moment later his comm chirped. It was Fixer. "Hey, I'm almost done over here. You know the power flow problems I've been working on? Turns out it's been draining power into all the other systems, and even the ship's structure itself. In the one day the power's been on, we've almost reached critical mass. If we had tried to fix the problems on C any earlier we would've been shocked to death."
He was silent for a moment, eyeing the damage. Then he spoke once more. "It looks pretty bad right here. I used the console to isolate the area as best as possible, and did all the remote repairs I could. I've started welding and reconnecting everything, but it's a big leak. It's going to take me a little longer than I thought. I'll be done by the time you've finished your paperwork though. So just give me a call. Raph'e out."
Looking back at the panel, the mechanic sighed. There was a lot to do, and not a whole lot of time. Setting himself, he got back to business.
