Fixer cleared his throat after he swalled his mouthfull. "*cough* yeah, we aut to start shopping for an old speedy starship too. For the dirby coming up. Say Jorek, you say you can do searched just by thinking right. Think you can find us an old pile of junk somewhere in the scrap yards we can buy cheap and fix up. We're looking for something that can be modified extensively." Fixer took a sip of his drink, his thoughts beginning to shift toward parts for a fast starship.

At the explanation Fixer gave, it was clear Jorek had struck a nerve with his question. He felt nothing from Ribbers reaction to it, and if he did he did not show even a small hint of it. Joreks mind was already racing through cyberspace to find a starship when App mentioned the air show, and he had already picked out a few from inventory lists planet wise. "Yeah. I think I already got one we might be interested in. It's a Star Saber XC-13. It's a little outdated, but in pretty decent conditions. Amongst the three of us I'm sure we can have it running just as good if not better than the rest of them. It's gunna cost us about 35000 credits."
jorek continued eating after his interjection, still scanning through his brain for parts, even scoping out what parts the Star Saber was missing. "It's missing a few things though, you want me to go ahead and order it along with the parts we'll need for it?"
((The Star Saber XC-13 is meant to be a great grandchild of the XC-01 in the wookiepedia. After all the stuff that happened with it, they finally perfected it and there has been several versions of it since, the XC-13 being about 15 years old. As for price, I couldn't get a real accurate number on the average cost of a starfighter, but for a used 15 years old starfighter with some missing parts, I figured that would be reasonable. Any opposition?))

((Ok Ok, gotta do something. Keep this RP stable. Yeah Xao, your improvving great. ))
"An XC-13 huh." Fixer sipped at his drink a moment. "That aut to be perfect. Kind of amazing the fighter didnt get scrapped. Military don't like ta leave their toys lieing around for folks like us to play with. Then again... This old thing." Fixer looked around at the ship loveingly yet again.
"Yeah, that'll be fine. Try to get a line on some Kuat Drive Yard Ion Engines for us. We'll want something mid grade." Fixer chuckled softly. "We want something that we can tweek the hell out of." Fixer smiled at Jorek and took another sip of his drink which now seemed almost gone.
"Yeah go right ahead and get the XC-13, we'll get you compensated. Or just have them send me the bill, that'd prolly be easier for you." Fixer nodded at Jorek. "Your turning into quite a commodity Jorek." Fixers face turned to Raph'e and he looked at him. "Lets finish up lunch and get rolling onto C deck. Its a Jungle down there."
"Oh yeah, one more thing. What day is it? Friday?" Fixer said inquisitively as he looked at his Chrono. "Payday. I guess I'll get to C deck later. I need to write you folks your paysticks."

"Bought and is being shipped here now." At the complement Jorek cracked as much a smile as he could at App. "Told you it was worth the risks and alienation."
Jorke mechanically turned his head towards the far wall and said, "As for an engine...There is a KDY eta-k8 ion engine rated 120 KTU available planet side, though they're not offering shipment. One of us is going to have to go get it." He looked at them both. "Seeing as you have more business on your hands than me, I guess I will." And at that, got up from the table and started heading towards the front entrance.
((I could literally find nothing about the kinds of engines made by Kuat, so I winged pretty much all of the information. You won't find it on Wookiepedia. Are you in a rush for something Sunfire?))

((Your doing marvelously. Both of you are. Seriously, if you guys are ever having trouble just try and make it sound believeable. You did a great job with that Xao.))
"Jorek," Fixer said so as to catch his attention before he was out the door. "Take my Speeder." Fixer said as he tossed Jorek the starter for his little Red modified Ore hauler. ((little red Pickup Truck lol)) "Bring her back in one peice eh?" Fixer said smiling.
Happy with the food in his Belly Fixer leanned back in his chair and sighed. "We're turning into quite a little team eh?"

Jorek looked back as Fixer tossed him the keys, and caught them. "Yeah. Sure." Jorek stopped for a moment and listened to his comment before leaving. "Well, I try not to get employed by people I'm reasonably sure I won't get along with." He said, then headed out the front and got into the ore hauler, started it up, and sped off.
When he arrived at the scrap yard with all the goodies you could possibly imagine it was a pretty routine pickup, and nothing went wrong. Jorek managed to get everything back to the shop in one piece, and deposited the engine in the hangar. He decided he didn't have anything better to do until they needed him, so he decided to go to his quarters of the ship-turned-shop to tinker around with his droids and organize everything to where he wanted it.
((We can assume Fixer is off doing something important and boss-like till he gets back, right? You know what that means....Raph'e and Ribber....alone... in the dark...on the bed...under the covers....so he can show her his new watch that glows in the dark!!!))

(woot! lol)
Raph'e nodded, sitting back in his chair as well. "Yeah, I duess we are." He chatted idly with Fixer for a bit, then conversed with Ribber in their strange emotion-talk when he was gone. After the lunch break was finished, Raph'e returned to work, heading for C Deck.
He spent the rest of the day there, working on various damaged systems. By the end of the day, he reflected, he'd done a surprising amount of work. A good amount of systems were back to top-notch performance. Everything was great. Returning to the main work area, he had dinner with the gang, then retired with Ribber to his bedroom.
(writers block, ugh lol. Sorry about not giving you much to work with there)

A few days later....
Fixer sat stareing at the sheet of flimsy in front of him and chewed on his lip. The bills were starting to pile up a bit and work had been a tad slow. The good news was that the ship was in top notch condition and they had managed to install a couple docking areas where they could work on various vehicles. Just a few simple pads of Ferocrete with hook ups at the end, but they would service his team well.
It had been a quiet day other than the termoil brewing in Fixers head. He let his eyes drift up as he watched Raph'e makeing eyes at Ribber, who seemed extremely happy to encourage Raph'e's advances.
Fixer smiled an inwardly content smile. His mind wandered to the ship. The repairs were complete. Just about every broken panel and hull plate had been either repaired or replaced on the Odyssey. The ship Chassis and Engines were all put together, and functional... more or less. There were a few parts they had needed to send off world for. A 30.10 Drive unit was sort of rare.
He chewed his lip again. Fixer was not an extremely complex fella. But he was very happy with everything. The money wasn't a problem. Simple folk like simple things, and things here were very simple...
His mind came back to what needed to be done at hand. Fixer filled out the forms and such for transfer and sent them off to Jorek. The cyborgs strangeness was easily over looked. The man had a very efficient way of doing things that Fixer especially enjoyed, even though he would creep him out on occasion. He reminded him... of a machine. Which of course gave Fixer real comfort alot of the time.
Fixer slid the dat card into the slot and pressed the send button off. Jorek would be recieving it probably instantly, assuming he wasnt already hard wired into the system right now.
The paper work done, Fixer filed the flimsy and pulled up the plans for the ship they'd been working on. They had yet to settle on a name. Always a frustrating task when dealing with something small and zippy. It was still at least a couple months before the Derby.
Fixer's eyes narrowed in a mischevous glance. That boy will need a propper flight suit and helmet for all that fancy fliying he has in mind. He thought. Fixer saved the file and the absent minded notes he had made while thinking things through and pulled up the plans for his second project. One he was a little bit sketchy about carrying through. It might attract the wrong sort of attention for the shop, but he was excited about it none the less.
Fixer stared at the lay out of an old Trandosian "Stalker" Class slave vessel he'd purchased at a republic auction. It had been a real bargain. Yet, he was extremely excited about it. It had all the amenities of a good travelling ship. A little smaller than a cruiser, but oh yes... There was so much he could do with a ship like that.
Fixer chuckled to himself almost deviously.

Raph'e winked at Ribber, receiving a mocking eyebrow arch in return. Raph'e laughed, connecting with Ribber's emotion for a moment. They gave each other a few nudges of happiness and affection, then embraced in a light hug.
Looking over, he caught Fixer's eyes. The shop owner seemed happy; content. Raph'e looked around himself at the ship, beaming with pride. Over the last few days they had been working nonstop; harder and faster than Raph'e had ever worked before. The three mechanics had the entire ship in perfect condition. No spot had been left unrepaired or cleaned. Some pads had been installed outside as well. Now the big work could begin.
His thoughts wandered outside of the compound. Now that the ship was fixed, he could go and join the Starfighter Defense Corps., as well as the local airshow. It would provide some extra money, and give Raph'e a chance to do the thing he truly loved. Besides, it would be good practice for the upcoming derby.
He voiced his thoughts. "Hey Fixer, is it all right if I went to sign up at the Starfighter Defense base and the Airshow? It's pretty slow right now, I don't think it'll be a problem. I'll need all the practice I can get for hte Derby. And it'll be nice to get behind the controls of a Legionare."
Truth be told, he was itching to fly a fighter. It was every piots dream to pilot one of the sleek Republic-made snubfighters. He couldn't wait to get started.

Fixer looked up from his Data Pad as Raph'e's request registered in his head. He nodded to him thoughtfully. Yeah go ahead and head on out. Just don't let them corner you into signing anything. I read somewhere in the news that the Sith have control of Dantooine. I wouldn't mention it. Really it all looks legitimate, but I'd trust the Sith about as far as I can throw em. You can mark my words they're up to something. Fixer looked back down at his work and considered the Trandosan vessel again. Just be careful App. Fixer looked up at him with an almost fatherly concerned smirk, then went back to useing the stylis to draw out modifications on the datapad.

Fixer filed away the now modifed plan write up for the Trandosian slaver vessel. She'd sell really well on the open market. As long as he found the right buyer. Somone maleable, and exploitable... with a lot of credits.
It was time to get back to work. The Cavalier was in need of repairs and additions. Fixer would need to get things ready for when the ships main computer came in. He marvelled at his cybernetic employee. He had found some really nice parts.
Which reminds me, Fixer thought to himself as he reached for his comms unit.
"Hey, Jor' you there? I have a little job for you. There is a Bonus involved. No latrines involved." Fixer chuckled to himself as he let his finger off of the transmitter button on his comlink.
While waiting for Jorek's reply Fixer wandered out into the hangar and started working on attaching the Engine Cradle to the Chassis.

Joreks head swarmed with images once again, dark, light, black, white, Blue Orange, Blue, Green. Text crawling across his minds eye, noise from all directions, like a school of fish, no leader, just a collective conscience moving in one direction. Then a voice, familiar but distorted; Fixer. Jorek swam to the surface, one fish out of 10 billion. "Yo. Whaddya need? All of the parts work out fine?"
The comm crackled. He looked down as he said it, his hands resting on a workstation tabletop, he was fixing a detached wire and erratic programming in one of his droids control cluster. When he dove into the networks, he sometimes lost his physical orientation. He was almost done though, so it wasn't a big deal.

Fixer turned off his fusion cutter and pulled off his goggles. The heat from the tip of the nozzle was making his gloves feel like he'd been useing them to roast hoopuffs (Made up name...means marshmellows). He took off one of his gloves, pulled out his comlink, and pressed transmit button.
"Parts are working out great. I need you to write up some programs for me. Its for the star saber. I want to see if we can give our boy the edge in the derby next month. If we can give him a couple tricks up his sleeve, that will better put him eye to eye with the competition." Fixer said into his comlink.
Piney, seeing an opportunity to get some attention, wandered over and nuzzled Fixers gloved hand. Fixer patted him on his pointy back, avoiding the pointy mass of sharp bone that jutted out.

Jorek heard the reply "Sounds fun, what kind of programs did you have in mind? I need to know exactly what kind of fun stuff you want me to pack into it before I can do it." He finished repairing the droid and moved on to working bugs on a datapad he used a while back to help him slice systems before he got the implant. Sometimes it could be a bit of a double bladed sword, but he always found a way to see the good side of it more than the dark.
He mechanically went through every line of code within the datapad, searching for that one line that either didn't make sense, or was broken.

Fixer sat up to fast and the blood rushed to his head. He sat a moment rubbing the numbness out of his skull before replying. He squeezed the comlink and spoke.
"I was thinking something like a pocket Mechanic. Of course it wouldnt hurt to have a couple not so reputable programs. We'd need to hide them of course, and I'm sure App would use them only as a last resort or as a retaliatory strike against cheating racers." Fixer waited a moment and felt he should explain. "we're talking programs that boost performance. Power transfer programs, shield re-alocation, you get the idea. And of course we'll need a droid brain of some sort dedicated to the carrying out of these programs." Fixer fell silent for a moment in thought. "I'll leave it up to you in getting creative with it. Let me know what it costs and I'll get the bill taken care of. Once things are taken care of whatever part we don't use you can keep." Fixer eased the hand pressure off of the comlink and took a breath. With his ideas out he needed a drink of water.

"Basically you want a brain that takes alot of the stuff out of the race to help App focus more on just piloting. Alright, that seems do-able. I can just use the parts from one of my lesser needed droids and a datapads, shouldn't really cost you anything except a bit of time. I'll ask you before I buy if I need to." Jorek finished his sentence, then immediately turned around, and chose some of his least favorite pieces of junk, then scrapped 'em, starting with a droid he deeply resented for its tendency to lose it's memory. Although it was nothing hard to fix, he was always preoccupied with his other projects. So now the real work begins, at least they have me doing what I love.[/i] He though as he soldered a circuit, simultaneously working on the coding for the pilot interface.

The Hunter's Jewel I came to rest outside a structure of some sort. The main door, the cargo bay door in back, slowly opened. A ramp slid out and down the ground below. Talgo walked out hoping the locals wouldn't be startled by a Mandalorian walking among them.
Talgo walked up to a building, a mechanic and parts dealership of somesort. The bounty hunter had heard tell of a rather efficient technician buisiness on Ord Mantell. An informant he trusted rather well, for a bounty hunter, had given him the location on the planet, as well as other details.
Talgo decided to stand around for a moment. He had an instinct telling him someone would come out.

Fixer wandered over to the front desk and noticed a multi passanger craft had parked on one of the pads outside. He figured the person who'd flown it would make themselves known if they needed something.
He poured himself a small glass of water from a pitcher behind the partion on the desk and wondered yet again where Ribber was. He had stopped trying to keep tabs on the young Zeltron.
He shrugged it off and sat down in the high chair for a moment and sipped at his water. Thats when he saw the pilot of the starship outside. He wore Mandalorian Armor, which did not sit well with Fixer. If he was just a hotshot that wore the armor he had to get it somehow which meant he had to steal it or fabricate it. Then again if it was the genuine article. That made things much worse.
Mandalorians were never good for business... Unless they were working for you. In which case they more often than not got things done.
Fixer sipped at his drink again and watched as the Mandalorian stared at the outside of the bulding. It was slightly mind bending not really knowing what he was looking at. An unfriendly thought planted seed in his mind. He casually nibbled at his lower lip a moment and keyed his comlink, setting it to the general frequency.
"We have a visitor folks. Mandalorian by the looks of it. Anyone have any bounties on their heads I should know about it'd be best if somone told me now. Otherwise I'd suggest those of you working stay focussed on what your doing. App, if you can get up to the Hangar it'd be most appreciated." Fixer said softly into his comlink, and then let go of the transmitter.

Talgo, getting impatient, decided to walk in. The doors slid open and the Mandalorian walked on in, taking a survey of his surroundings. A decent shop, not bad for the Mid Rim. The bounty hunter walked up to a guy by the front desk.
"I suppose your wondering what a Mandalorian is doing here. It be my best guess that you are."

Fixer eyeballed the Mandalorian a minute as he sipped at his water. After a silent swig he set down his cup, and placed his hands on his hips.
"Its a free galaxy last time I checked. What can I do for you, Mr.?" Fixer asked questioningly. Then extended his right hand to the Mandalorian, disquiseing his wariness.
