Vex looked at the desolate landscape and had a momentary flashback of his Master's final moments beckoning for Vex to run. He stood for what seemed like an eternity as he replayed through that event in his head. He didn't even realize he had started shaking visibly either. Sweat started to bead on his forehead as he once again felt the death of his mentor and friend. It haunted his dreams and every waking moment. Again the silence, it was just like right before they were attacked. He couldn't shake himself from the image.

Adrian winced at the next thought that came to him as he looked over the landscape. He was truly becoming a Jedi Master by the way he was beginning to think. Seeing the bad side of things always before the good. Adrian assumed that was the reason some of the Jedi Masters and Council Members had taken a liking to him. While the young knight did have his own individual personality, attitude, and procedure he still fell in the general line of their code of conduct.
Well to tell the truth if the Sith really wanted to take the planet it would be simple for them to just walk in and take this place. A simple explosion and trained troops the Sith could have had this planet in their hands long ago.
Adrian didn't like sounding like the pompous Masters, but the success of their mission made priority over that fact so the young knight forced himself to speak his mind.
So my suggestion is that we request the Republic to officially induct the current Militia here on Subterell so that you, Major, can begin training those in the Militia to become a strong Republic force. That way if something were to really happen and our ever indomitable defenses are breached we will still be able to fend off an attack.
Adrian relayed his plans to his partners and the major all the while rubbing his small beard. The young knight wasn't a Jedi of immovable beliefs. He could listen to the suggestions of his partners and subordinates and would always proceed with the best possible option.
What are your suggestions?
(It really is too early for that line...)

(Yeah... we like to save that line for when you're looking up at a few hundred basilisk war droids raining down on you.)
Major Gott turned and nodded.
"Listen... I'm under orders, so I'll do what you say, but I'd suggest not wasting our time. If the sith can figure out how to break through the Irons, then there's no way we can stop them. We got the Irons, we got the Line, and we got the biggest piece of Dead Space in the sector. Face it, sirs, we're about as useful here as four more stones in the tunnels."
He said, turning back around and entering the elevator, heading back and leaving the Jedi alone in the observation dome.

Vex absently brought his hand up to his face and watched it as it shook. This was not the way of the Jedi. Jedi did not relish on fear. He tried his best to take deep calming breaths, but most came out as shudders. He felt very cold and alone at that moment.
A..a..a..ddrrrii..aaannnn. If..if.. the Sith aren't here, yet. They will be soon.
Vex felt ashamed for his actions, but he had to put them aside.

Zul watched the major walk in the elevator and disappear as the elevator moved down. Zul had a disgusted look on his face.
That Major will probably surrender if this planet was ever attacked.
Zul was a bit shocked while he watched Vex shake and take small gasps of air, this made him feel a cold sensation up and down his spine.
Vex when they come we will be ready for them don't worry man.
Zul looked out of the observation dome and watched the 6 bubbles that broke up the landscape.
It will take a month or 2 for the militia to be a effective combat force. I suggest to rig 3 bubbles to explode if we are attacked so the militia can focus on a small area to defend instead of having to spread out. How does that sound?

Vex looked down at the young Padawan with haunted eyes and stared at him for a few seconds before coming to. He shook his head slightly as if to clear it and tried to replay all of the information the Major had given them. He knew that the Sith would probably be here, of course at the same time, it could have just been his nightmares bleeding over into reality. He recalled the Major's answer to one of Adrian's comments about the Irons. Now the only thing that Vex could think of something that was named that were heavy blast doors, but that didn't fit this planet. He quickly spun on his heel and stepped towards the elevator. He put his arm in the door as it was about closed and stopped it from descending again.
Excuse me Major, but you mentions something about Irons. What exactly are those, and how could they stop the Sith?
(OoC: I hope that works for you CG, lol)

Major Gott couldn't help but stifle a laugh.
"They didn't tell you guys anything, did they? This planet here isn't like other planets. It has no core and no atmosphere. The whole inside is surrounded by ten layers of thick and airtight durasteel compound. One fracture, and the whole planet would depressurize. So the Irons can block off any tunnel in a matter of seconds. You think the Sith are going to be able to navigate a bunch of closed tunnels? We control everything that goes on in this place. They land, we close them off, call the Republic fleet, and they show up in a few hours and bombard the sith fleet. Like I said, nobody's going to take this planet."

Vex held the door to the elevator open and smirked a little at the Major's arrogance. He stepped into the elevator and keyed the control to hold the doors till the others got in. He ran this new information over in his head a few times. If he were the Sith he'd infiltrate someone into their command staff that oversaw the operations.
Do you have a central control room where the Irons are operated from, or are they automated?

Major Gott turned around just as he was about to leave.
"They are controlled from any of thirty different terminals, and we can also operate them remotely, though, in the event of an accident, or if one is overridden, they will automatically go into lock down and start presurizing the area. Basically, if the sith have a slicer and can open a door, two more will shut down and the pressure will blow open their skulls."

Vex ran the possibilities through his mind and looked at the situation from every angle he could with what information he had obtained. He would need the exact locations of the terminals and know who all had access to them.
Well Major, I'm somewhat impressed. That does sound rather impenetrable, but I must riddle you with more questions. I would like a copy of the layout of the planetoid and the location of these terminals that control the Irons. As well as sewage and waste lines, power conduits, and maintainance crawlspaces. I need every schematic and blueprint you have of this place. Anywhere from the basic setup of the city to the nitty gritty defenses you have set up.
I'll also need the history on this colony dated back to at least one hundred and fifty years. It is pertinent that I have these files downloaded into my datapad as soon as possible. The comfortable population is the population that is easily overtaken. To you and any average individual this colony may not hold much value in a strategic or tactical sense, but your not the enemy. The enemy may have a ploy that makes this a prime real estate for capturing. Now I want your squad's worth of men to round up the militia and have them assemble in the hangar in approximately eight hours. By then I want that data. Dismissed.
Vex stepped out of the elevator back into the observation bubble and sent the car back down to colony level. He had a determined look about him and his eyes, which not a few moments before showed fear, were now alight with a fire. His posture had changed and his jaw was set firm.

Major Gott smiled and answered.
"Your schematics are down in your quarters, sir. Took the liberty myself. As for the history on this place, I can only give it you as far back as about twenty years or so. Apparently the older records got deleted for some reason. Anyways, I've got to be going, sirs. I'm off-duty this week."
And, with that, the good Major turned and left. He had aready missed his game of Pazaak... perhaps he would go watch some dancers. Not that there were many skilled here on this colony.

Every defense has a weakness, but that is abnormal about the history files.

Adrian was really becoming a pessimist as he felt the need to voice his opposition.
Have you ever read of a Jedi by the name of Kreia? Or the Sith Lord Darth Traya? If you have then you would know that the Jedi as well as the Sith can mask their presence using the force...and if you have read back to those times then you might have also come to know that a person strong in the force can teach someone not so particularly strong in the force a couple of tricks in the force.
He had to breathe, Adrian had rattled out too much at once. He wanted th mission to go smoothly and it had every right to do so. So far nothing had gone wrong and nothing would go wrong. Still he needed to continue.
For example a Sith can teach an ordinary Soldier to resist the force...become immune to it making us impossible to feel their presence using anything but our physical senses. Combine a Stealth Unit with enough quality and...
He didn't want to say anymore. Voicing the fact would simply emphasize the fact that no matter how many defenses could and were installed if the Sith wanted to they could break in. The key words being "If they wanted to" other than his stronghold theory the young knight couldn't think of a plausible reason for the Sith to come here.
It doesn't take an entire fleet to subdue a planet, perhaps only a battalion of elite troops with expert tactics...
The thoughts pained him so much, he didn't like thinking this way, but he had no choice since he had taken one of the commanding roles in this station.
(Since this is "your" world I can't make a problem...or can I?)

(Remember your skill level... Anyways, sure, I think you could create a problem, as long as it doesn't totally contradict everything. Trust me, you're not going to have a problem making it a difficult fight with the sith. What the Major said was what the Major knew. I know a few more things that change things drastically.)

Vex needed more time to think and since they didn't know every nook and cranny about this place the only place he could find solace was the hangar bay. Anyway that's where he was expecting the militia in eight hours or more. More, was the better term he knew he was probably going to get. He turned towards his companions and faintly smiled.
Excuse me my friends, but I must clear my mind and body. If you need me i will be practicing my fighting techniques in the hangar. I also believe this would be a good time for you two to talk of the Force. Farewell and see you soon.
Vex activated the lift and stepped aboard as it arrived. He leaned his head against the cold steel of the lift door as it closed and tried to stop his uncontrollable shaking. This was happening more often now and he only had one way to stop it, katas. He headed towards the hangar once he arrived back into the colony. He needed the silence of his mind and the pain in his body.

Zul watched Vex leave and Adrian with his deep thinking
Master, do you really think that the Sith will use ghost battalions against us? It seems like a bit of overkill don't you think? They would probably use some stealth soldiers to take the controls of the planet then use war droids against us.
Zul knew that ghost battalions would seem like a bit of waste on this planet with no value, but he also knew that if they used any type of stealth soldier against him he would be blind against them.
Master, if they do use stealth soldiers do you know of any technique that would allow me to see them?

To tell you the truth, no...I don't think the Sith would have interest in this planet.
Adrian looked at his Padawan happy that he was able to ask questions. The young knight looked around the room and peered along the tunnels.
But like always the Sith know more about themselves than we do about them. There could be some untapped resource they wish to acquire, a Jedi or Sith artifact that has been interred here.
He paused letting the information sink into his insightful Padawan's mind. After a deep breath he looked at Zul.
To answer you question, yes they would. But they would have to have a reason, or something that would make them go to that great of an extent to come here.
Adrian learned from his master that it wasn't always what you thought which was right. Even acting on instinct alone wasn't enough. Someone living solely by the force wasn't even going to find all the answers to everything. Adrian had learned that it was a combination of these aspects that would create success. With that he turned to look at the exit Vex had taken, his senses branching out as he tried to determine the status of the facility for himself.

(Please keep in mind that the sith are not going to much of an extent to come here. You guys are here just IN CASE of an attack. Subterrell is deep in Sith Space, and the sith need to expand or they'll die. They are demanding from the senate that the planet be theirs. It's no trouble. They surround the entire world. You guys don't even know if they're planning on attacking, so don't assume anything.)
