Birth place: Iridonia
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Knight - Guardian
Bio:
Kr'ado was born on the planet of Iridonia, a planet scarred by numerous wars and home to the Zabrak, a race of warriors. Kr'ado was born in Wortan City, into a clan from the southern hemisphere of Iridonia, the Xar clan. They had a bit of a reputation for how they trained their kin in hand-to-hand combat. They were very brutal when it came to training the future of the clan, given their Zabrak culture; "The Clan comes before family and self." Kr'ado was the lucky one to have been born into one of the more brutal of families in the Xar clan. Both mother and father were recognized as great warriors of their clan. Kr'ado, at the age of 3 was already learning the Zabrak martial arts. His father started him young, bent on making his son a protige of his time. By the time the boy reached 6, he was riddled with scars from punishment that was a result of poor form. To him, it was nothing out of line for sloppyness. It was to a point where Kr'ado became very skilled in combat for his age tier.
It was time, father would put son to the test. He was placed in a Clan tournament where one would fight another to establish superiority in combat. The tournament was divided into tiers, by age, but Kr'ado was placed into a tier above his own age. He was put against a slightly bigger male Zabrak, older as well. Not a drop of fear rose up in his belly as the battle began. A quick hook from the opponent wized by Kr'ado's skull as he ducked it, only to return the gesture with a swift uppercut to the gut. Winded for a split second, the opponent brought down an elbow between Kr'ado's shoulder blades. This sent Kr'ado into the ground, but he sprung up a moment later before meeting the bottom of the older Zabrak's boot. After rolling to the side, the two locked themselves into a close quarters bout, negating and avoiding blow after blow. It was an utter suprise to all how Kr'ado was fairing against an older Zabrak, at this age none the less. As the two boys went blow for blow, Kr'ado caught an opening and jump up a bit driving his skull into the softess spot on the face, the nose. A hollow thud echoed as the opponent stumbled back, this was his chance. As Kr'ado rushed in, he was almost caught with a devistating backhand from the dazed opponent. This was the first time Kr'ado, and his father caught wind of his abnormal reflexes. He avoided the blow by a hair, tackling the boy to the ground. Stradling him, Kr'ado delivered blow after blow to the face until it was enough to consider it a knock out. After the decision was made in his favor, Kr'ado aided the opponent in getting up and getting him to medical attention.
"I'm proud of you, Kr'ado. But you have much, much more to learn to become stronger." His father noted to the young Kr'ado.
"Yes, father." Kr'ado replied with a nod as they both made their way home. It was not brushed aside how abnormal Kr'ado's reflexes were, but his father decided it was just a result in such intense training at a young age.
One day, a normal one so it seemed, Warton was visited by a stranger, a human. This person searched the city in search of what the force had guided him here for. He felt the presence of someone very strong in the force. It wouldn't be long until he found the home of Kr'ado and his parents. It was odd, Kr'ado had no idea what exactly it was his parents and the stranger were talking about after they let him in. None the less, the boy returned to his room as they conversted. It only took no less than an hour for them to finish, soon after the chatter ended, a knock came about Kr'ado's door.
"My son, this man wants to talk to you for a moment." His father's tone harbored a mixture of emotion. It seemed full of pride, and yet sadness to an extent as if both emotions clashed. Kr'ado sat at the end of his bed as the stranger entered the room, he brought an aura that did not hold any sort of harmful intent. It actually brought comfort to Kr'ado and made it easy for the stranger to converse with the young one.
"I am, Va'an Lucidus. I am a Jedi Knight and it was by the will of the force that brought me to you." The Jedi moved to pull something from a bag he had brought with him. It was a device used to figure out a persons midi-chlorian count. "I'll need to take a blood sample from you, it won't hurt a bit." The Jedi reassured the young boy.
The boy would only nod, quiet due to his confusion as the man took a blood sample. It was only a slight prick to the finger. Kr'ado watched as Va'an placed his blood into the device. After a few moments, Va'an's expression changed as he read over the count. "What's wrong, sir?" The boy asked, leaning forward out of curiosity, trying to read the device.
"21,000...." He muttered, shocked having never encountered a being with such a high midi-chlorian count before. "That's.."He'd pause briefly. "Incredible." He smiled, patting the young one on the head before exiting the room. Puzzled, Kr'ado returned to laying down. Once again, the chatter began to phase thorugh the walls. He could hear faint words from the other room.
The Jedi had taken his discovery to the parents, explaining to them the potential their son has. How the reflexes were not just from training. How his extreme rate of excelling in areas, was not just something that happens just because. After explaining it to them, Va'an proceeded to talk to both parents about having Kr'ado train under the Jedi Order. Having him become a Padawan under him. At first, both parents were skeptical about letting go of their son. But, eventually, they came to an agreement that Kr'ado's talents and potential would be used to their fullest if he joined the Jedi Order.
The next day, Kr'ado was packed and saying his goodbyes to either parents. He was given a very general explanation about where he was going and why. He hudded his mother, and said a farewell to his father, who was stern and did not show a shred of sensetivity although he did not want to see his son go. Next thing he knew, he was on his way to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant.
As a Padawan
Although slightly older than the required age to start training as a Jedi, Va'an convinced the council that Kr'ado's potential should not be passed by and given the chance to fall to the dark side of the force. With that, the Council granted Kr'ado the opportunity to become Va'an's padawan learner. As soon as the 'blessings' were given, Va'an wasted no time begining Kr'ado's preperations. Up until he was 11, Va'an trainined the boy as best he could until he was sent onto another assignment. While Va'an was away, Kr'ado was taught as a Youngling. He'd learn the basics of everything, the code and how to use a lightsaber. Not to his masters suprise, Kr'ado was exceptionally talented with a lightsaber. It was constant training, to ready the boy to join his master on Kr'ado's first mission which was going to come along soon. Va'an taught Kr'ado how to center himself before combat, to maintain a level head when in a tight situation. Everything a Jedi should know, Va'an taught to his fullest abilities.
Kr'ado, when not training with his saber, would usually confine himself to his room in order to meditate. Now at an older age, Kr'ado understood the potential he had, and strived to strengthen the connection he had with the force, to become stronger in it. Through the years spent training, Kr'ado became a lot closer to his master. To him, having lost his father so long ago, and being trainined by Va'an, it made Kr'ado see him as a father-like figure. He looked up to his master, and strived to be as great a Jedi as him. Kr'ado enjoyed sparring with other trainee's, to better himself. Seeing as how simple training forms could only go so far, he felt training with the best would prove to be a better method of excelling.
He was constantly in the training room, if not in a lecture given by his master, sparring the others. At times, the sparring would become intense, but only when the opponent was a very admiral one. One day, Va'an entered the training room during a spar session Kr'ado was in. It was odd to see him here, but none the less, Kr'ado finished the spar and acknowledged his masters pressence.
"Is there something you need, Master?" He asked.
"It is time I test you myself, before you under go your first mission." Va'an's saber hissed as it extended from it's hilt. Shortly following Va'ans was Kr'ado's saber.
"Yes, my master." He replied, readying himself. These were not training sabers, these were the real deal. Kr'ado kept his head, and cushioned the first blow from his master. Both beams collided again and again. It was obvious who had the upper hand, Kr'ado was always forced to keep on the offensive because every blow from his master was powerful and swift. The spar was no longer than 5 minutes before Va'an acknowledged the Youngling's skill. That was the day Va'an officially took Kr'ado as his apprentice.
"I'm proud to see how far your come since the day I found you, my young apprentice." He complimented as another hiss echoed, switching his saber off. "You've proven to have become quite skilled in Shii-Cho, a bit more practice and you will be more than ready to begin training with other forms." Va'an offered a smile, being very proud of his young padawan.
It was now time for Kr'ado to aid his master in his firts field mission, a proud day for Master Va'an as well as Kr'ado. They were given a mission on the planet of Nar Shadda, to investigate a small group of smugglers aiding in supplying a few Bounty Hunters. As well as following up on rumors explaining certain plans of assassination of a senator. Master Va'an and his apprentice Kr'ado were sent to gain knowledge of the intentions and, if needed, halt their movements and end the threat.
(Since he was 6, Kr'ado trained until he was 13 before going on his first field mission.)
Before the two disembarked on their mission, Master Va'an took Kr'ado to the side and proceeded to give him a saber that he kept from his previous padawan who was slain during a mission. It was not like a Jedi to hold on to such keepsakes, due to the possibility of it lifting up old pains and increase the risk of the person falling to the dark side. But, he gave it to Kr'ado, cutting out all the details of who's it was and what happened to it's previous owner. A hiss and crackle emitted from the hilt as the plasma beam extended from it. A silver blade, not something seen too often.
"Thank you, my master. I will not fail you on this mission." The young padwan assured, offering a bow to his master. Finally, they boarded their ship and took off shortly after preperations. The ship carried both Jedi and two pilots. While on the ship, Kr'ado spent every minute meditating and furthering his training with his new saber as best he could with the time given. Before the young one knew it, they had arrived in Nar Shadda. The pilot took the ship down, landing it on a small platform by the nearest cantina. Both Jedi exited the ship and instructed the pilot to take the ship and land it a short distance from them. That being done, Master Va'an and his padawan made their way to the lower levels where the cantina was. They entered the scum infested place, full of smugglers, fringers, bounty hunters and the rest of the scum of the universe. At the enterance Va'an offered a few words to his young padawan. "Remember the technique I've taught you my young padawan. Conceal yourself from other force sensitives, hide your alignment as well as your connection to the force entirely." With a nod, Kr'ado centered himself and hid himself from others intune with the force.
The two Jedi proceeded to split up, and find as much information as they could on the task at hand. Hours had passed and the Jedi heard nothing along the lines of the bounty hunters and smugglers. It didn't make sense at first, this was the cantina they were directed to investigate. This was wear the leader of the smuggling group tends to be, so why isn't he here? After another hour passed, a few men entered the cantina. It was rather late in the night, and Kr'ado sensed them and he knew his master did so as well. A wave of one of the mens hands brought a waitress out who proceeded to show the men to a more cercluded table on the otherside of the room. Master and Padawan exchanged a glance before Va'an moved to the side of the bar which was closest to the smugglers.
Obnoxious laughter bellowed from their direction, but not talk of plans or gloating of successful smugglings or anything useful, yet. But, just when it seemed the time would not come, another person entered the cantina. This one had eagerness written all over his face, and with a quick scan of the cantina the man made his way over to the table of smugglers. "Are you the smugglers I've heard rumors of?" He asked in a low voice, but not low enough to avoid the ears of Jedi which were among them. That was enough to push their investigation further, with a gesture, Va'an called Kr'ado over.
"Who informed you of such foolishness?" The head of the squad asked, a bit stern at the question.
"Don't worry, I'm not a spy or anything like that. I am simply your average smuggler looking to make some money, that's all. You need another hand or no?" The man asked, a bit irritated at being seen as a potential spy.
"Well, we'll see just how useful you are, my friend. Vaun, take the noob to the place and see what he has to offer to our little family here." With the order given, Vaun took the newcomer and led him to the hideout.
"Kr'ado, this is where the test begins. We must not allow this lead to get away from us. You will follow the second in command and the new one, do not let them get away. I will stay here and keep an eye on the head of the group. Once you make it to the hideout, remain hidden and contact me. Go, and may the force be with you." Va'an instructed, bowing to his padawan and recieving one in return as Kr'ado left.
The young padawan followed the two out of the cantina as his master stayed behind. Maintaining a distance between them, Kr'ado hopped into an airspeeder and followed them. In order to not be seen, Kr'ado had to fly behind two speeders but keep view on theirs. After an hour, the speeder began to decend to the lower levels. Kr'ado followed shortly after, landing a bit of distance away from them, but close enough to see where they went after exiting their speeder. Kr'ado proceeded to follow them, flattening himself against the wall and peaking around the corner. Both men entered a door that was hidden behind a pile of fake boxes that slid out of the way.
"Master, I've followed them until they brought me to their hideout. I'll link the coordinants to you, my master." Kr'ado spoke through his communicator.
"Good work, my young padawan. I will take care of the remaining smugglers here. After, I will make my way where you are and we will take care of the bount hunters. Do not advance until I arrive." Va'an ordered. After ending the small conversation, Va'an proceeded to complete his part of the mission.
Back at the hideout, Kr'ado waited, patience wearing thin as his master was still not there yet. Time and time again, Kr'ado was troubled with the thought of disobeying his master and go into the hideout himself. But, his better judgment would intervene and weigh the outcome of success. "The details of this assignment clearly explain that not only are there smugglers, but Bount Hunters as well. They must be inside, I have to wait for, Va'an." He'd tell himself to brush away the temptation of barging inside and so he would wait.
At the cantina, Va'an was just completing his task. He had taken care of the head smuggler, but that was the least of their problems. It was the Bounty Hunters whom they would need to worry about, taking out the head smuggler was just an act to provide time and prevent them from arriving at the hideout after Va'an and Kr'ado entered. Va'an quick jumped into another speeder and made haste in making his way over their. He held up his wrist as the device on it projected the coordinants to the building where Kr'ado awaited.
Time elapsed and Kr'ado was short on patience, so he decided to meditate and center his mind before entering the building. As he was doing so, Va'an arrived. "Master, finally you've arrived. There has been no movement since they entered. I assume the new one is being tested. Given the length of time I was out here, and the fact that I saw no one else enter, I'd also assume that most of the Bounty Hunters are inside already."
"Good, I'm proud of you, my young apprentice. You kept your mind and followed orders. Are you ready, this is where we put your saber and power in the force, to the test." Va'an stopped short, his face becoming more stern. "I, feel a disturbance in the force. It's rather troublesome, but we have a duty to do. Keep on your gaurd young one." Both Jedi approached the building and Kr'ado went on to show his master how to enter the building. With a press of a button along side the pile of boxes, they shifted to the side revealing a door. They entered, still hiding themselves from any force user. They both quickly took to the shadows, hiding. Upon peaking over the crates and things, they saw that they were out numbered by Bounty Hunters. It was much more than a few bounty hunters coming together for a single assassination. "This is not good, Kr'ado. We must relay this back to the council and wait for back up to arrive, we are greatly out numbered."
"But Master, they will never make it in time to stop them. We ourselves barely made it. Look, they are already preparing two ships as we speak." He said showing his master the two ships as people walked in and out, carrying things into its hull. "We must cut the head of the snake off, it's a garunteed positive. If it does not stop them, it will buy enough time for the council to send back up. I will relay the coordinants and all info to the council now." Kr'ado said as he proceeded to send the message to the council.
"Kr'ado, I think I know who it is leading this movement. I sensed a disturbance in the force, and I believe it to be a Dark Jedi at the head of this organization. Now, this will be a dificult task, but I have the utmost faith in you, my young apprentice." With a pat on his shoulder, Va'an led the young padawan as he followed the force. They eventually made it to a room that emitted a sinister aura. "This is it, are you ready, Kr'ado?" With a nod from the padawan, the two Jedi rushed into the room with sabers drawn. Only to be met with another of a red hue.
"You thought you could simply conceal your connection to the force and it would pull a veil over everyones eyes? I've been expecting the two of you since you entered my little 'workshop'." The Dark Jedi chuckled as he was hidden under a black hoode robe. "I am Xin Insanum, and it will be a pleasure to strip you of your lives."
The two Jedi readied themselves, the young padawan eager for his first fight against a Dark Jedi. Va'an moved first, engaging the Darksider seemingly matched when it came to saber skills. Extremely fast swings of the sabers were met by the other until Kr'ado engaged. The young Jedi held his own against the Dark Jedi, aiding his master in pushing the assailant back and to their suprise the Dark Jedi had been able to fend both of them off. The battle was at a stalemate until Kr'ado had his hand cut off, at which point his master had to step it up. Eventually, Va'an prevailed and defeated the Dark Jedi.
The young padawan was quickly taken back to the ship after the mission was considered complete, and upon arrival home, treated for his wounds. Kr'ado was fitted with a prostetic hand and continued his life as a Jedi. Kr'ado went on to aid his master in countless missions that ranged from simple escorting, to facing more Dark Jedi. Kr'ado's skills with a saber were tested many times, and he prevailed through the majority of them. On a mission to Naboo, Va'an and Kr'ado split up in order to find a wanted criminal that had escaped to Naboo. When faced with handling the skilled bounty hunter, Kr'ado kept a level head and apprehended the target with little struggle.
Jedi Knighthood
Kr'ado had proven himself worthy of becoming a Jedi Knight, surviving the Jedi trials and passing with flying colors. Kr'ado stood before the Jedi masters as he was Knighted and had the braid that symbolized him being a Padawan cut. He was congratulated by his master, and that was where Kr'ado began his life as a Jedi Knight.
Kr'ado was sent on his first mission as a Knight, gaurding a senator as they travel from Coruscant to their home world.
