Name: Sia Loran
Race: 50% Human, 50% Zeltron
Age: 34
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 140 lbs
Birth place: Above Corellia (The Night's Shade)
Appearance:
Because she's 50% Zeltron, she does not appear to age (wrinkles, etc), and has a slight pink tint to her skin.
Faction: Jedi
Rank: Knight, Guardian
Personality: Sia is very compassionate and trusting, perhaps too much so. She is always looking for the good in people, even if it is not there, or just buried too deep insid someone. She is also rather arrogant, believing that she could best almost anyone in combat. She does not see eye-to-eye with the Jedi's view of attachments, such as the Jedi not being allowed to have love lives. She often uses her Zeltron pheromones, along with her persuasive Force powers to get her past stubborn people, such as guards and the like.
Bio:
Sia Loran, along with her twin sister Lunia, was born above Corellia (Lunia a few minutes before Sia) in a modified Coronet-Class Light Freighter called The Night's Shade that belonged to her parents, Zak and Mellina, who were smugglers. They were very good at their job, and were rather wealthy. Being wealthy, but very adventurous, They did not buy a house, but instead upgraded, modified, and lived in their ship. Zak was human, and Mellina was a Zeltron, and a former diplomat. Zak had also been a Jedi Knight, but had turned from the Order long ago. He was very skilled in combat, fighting with his lightsaber in a backhanded grip. He had two lightsabers, both identical, but rarely used the second one.
Sia and Lunia were difficult children at best, always getting into all kinds of mischief and generally causing trouble. They would worry their parents to death while hiding in the walls of the ship or somewhere else out of their parents' view and reach.
Sia and Lunia formed a twin bond with the Force, and were almost able to read each others' minds. They would always answer the same thing at the same time, and often finish each others' sentences.
Zak taught them as much as he could about the Force, though it seemed only to fuel their mischievousness. They would use the Force to cause even more mayhem aboard the ship.
When they were just 6 years old, while on a smuggling run, they were ambushed by pirates and had to crash-land on the nearby planet of Mandalore. A Kiffar Jedi Investigator named Daryll who was just preparing to leave for Coruscant after tracking down some Tibanna thieves, who had happened to be Zak's former Apprentice, sensed his arrival and went to the crash site, but found that Sia was the only survivor of the crash, or so he thought. Before he got there, Melinna had died in the crash, Sia had been mostly unscathed, but Zak and Lunia had been badly injured. Zak used all his remaining strength to put Lunia into a sort of deep healing trance, and she appeared to be dead when Daryll arrived. Lunia's injuries were so severe, she would have died within minutes had Zak not put her into the healing trance. But the trance was so deep, Lunia's heart slowed, making her appear dead. Daryll, sensing Sia's connection to the Force, and knowing it would've been what Zak had wanted now that he was gone, decided to take Sia with him back to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Daryll was in a hurry to get back to the Temple with the information he had gathered, so he arranged for the Mandalorians to give Zak, Mellina, and Lunia a proper funeral pyre, once they were done salvaging the ship.
Sia loved the temple from the moment she entered it. Though she had loved living with her parents and sister aboard their ship, it had been rather cramped on the craft. The Jedi Temple, on the City World of Coruscant, was the complete opposite of the ship. The entire planet was bustling with activity, and the Jedi Temple was huge and open, especially the main hall. The huge cavern supported by the equally large pillars fascinated her. She went there whenever she had to think, along with her other favorite place-- the Room of a Thousand Fountains. The constantly-flowing water was mesmerizing.
Before she was put in any class, the Jedi helped her to sever the twin bond that she had formed with her now-supposedly-dead twin sister. They knew that the hollow, empty feeling would be considered an attachment, and that it would hinder her training.
She was put in a youngling class, and though she was behind the rest of the students, she caught on quickly, becoming one of the best in her class. She quickly befriended a Nautolan youngling named Tik, a Human girl named Lila, and a Selkath named Isath. Once they were old enough to handle training sabers, outside of the main classes they would spar with each other-- under the supervision of the class instructor, of course-- and soon became the best four in the class, Sia being the best out of the four. She almost always used an unorthodox backhanded grip on her training saber, the same thing her father had done when using his lightsaber. The backhanded style made it difficult for the other students to find a good defensive technique against it. And the few times when she did switch to a normal grip, it caught her opponent off-guard.
She once asked the class instructor if she could try using two training sabers, and he agreed to let her use another training saber. She wasn't very good at it at first, but after some more practicing, she got better, especially when using her right hand's saber with a backhanded grip, and her left hand's saber with a normal grip. It made it even harder for anyone she faced to defend themselves. The style gave her several unique advantages-- first, she had the advantage of two blades, being able to strike twice at the same time. Second was the different grips. The backhanded grip gave her the advantage of being able to strike from different angles, while the the second lightsaber could make up for the backhanded grip's rather open frontside.
In her other classes, she also excelled. She could almost completely read the thoughts of others, thanks to the Force and her natural Zeltron ability to read emotions. She could also influence the minds of others, using again, both the Force and her natural Zeltron ability to influence the emotions of other beings.
She also had a knack for moving things with her mind. It was fascinating, being able to pick up a box, a droid, or even another person, and float them around the room with just a thought and a gesture with her hand. Of course, picking people up, especially other jealous younglings, would get a violent Force shove thrown Sia's way, making her lose her concentration and drop him or her.
It also came natural for her to be able to let the Force flow through her, giving her the ability to jump very high, or very far. She could do a front flip just from standing, or even a back flip. She could do so many near-impossible acrobatic feats, she wondered if the acrobats in the circuses were actually Force-Adepts.
Of course, Sia still had the mischievousness she had from her days of being on her parents' ship. She and her three best friends would often play pranks on other younglings, and even the occasional Padawan or Knight. She once tried to play a prank on a Master, but the Master had sensed it long before she had even been able to attempt it. The four also loved to play around in the droid maintenance tunnels that ran throughout the temple, and they even jumped down the laundry chute-- despite the many rumors and legends that ran through the classes about the chute. Some claimed that a great beast lived in the chute, and grabbed anything that came through the chute. It would separate the clothes from other objects, and it would keep disobedient younglings inside it's lair. In reality, they set off a sensor that engaged a repulsorlift, which made them fall down a secondary chute and into a small waiting room with no way to open it from the inside. They waited for only a few minutes before a Jedi Master came and issued their punishment: They had to clean up the mess hall every day for three weeks. However, the Master proved to be not a complete 'fun-sucker', as the younglings often referred to the Masters and Knights who issued disciplinary action. He said he had done the same thing when he was a youngling, and urged the four to spread the rumor of a beast living in the chute, and that they had narrowly escaped it. It usually held the younglings at bay when some of their own claimed the rumors were true.
After six more years of training, pranks, and more mischief, she was taken as a Padawan by the same Kiffar Jedi Knight--now a Jedi Master-- who had found her on Mandalore, and had been her father's apprentice, Daryll. Soon after that, she was given the necessary materials to build her first lightsaber. However, she wanted to be able to utilize her double-bladed style, and after some begging, arguing, and some persuading (She didn't dare use the Force or her Zeltron powers to persuade him, instead she just used reasoning and long speeches-- a skill she had inherited from her mother, who had been a diplomat), she was able to get him to give her more materials, enough to build two sabers. One was blue, the other, green. She built the blue one with the activation switch on the bottom of the handle, better suited for her backhanded grip.
Sia was excited when Daryll announced their first mission, nearly two months after he had taken her as his padawan. It was a mission to shut down a Corellian-based black market that sold nearly everything outlawed: Illegal ship upgrades, illegal weapons, spices... 'You name it, we got it,' was the market's slogan. The market was constantly traveling, more then often being found on the planet where it had started, Corellia. However, it sometimes popped up on Coruscant, Nar Shadda (though when it was there, it stayed there for long periods of time, for the Hutts did nothing to stop it from taking place) and many other densely-populated worlds. They travelled to avoid being tracked down by the authorities, often staying on one world for only a week before moving to the next. And they always were on a different place, a different city, even when they went back to a planet they had already been to, with the exception of Nar Shaddaa. Their newest find, which had attracted the attention of the Jedi, was an ancient Jedi Holocron. It had been found on Tattooine by two amateur archeologists who had no idea what it was. When they brought it back to their university on Corellia to study it, the more experienced professors and archeologists quickly discovered that it was a Jedi Holocron, and contacted the Jedi, arranging to give it to them for free.
They theorized, with the help of some Sand People records, that it had brought there by an ancient Jedi Master trying to communicate with the Sand People, but the confrontation had gone badly, and the Jedi was killed. The settlers attacked, for the Jedi Master had actually been born in that town-- and they completely wiped out the Sand People village. They found the holocron with a group of several strange things that the chieftan had kept as trophies, but didn't know what it was, so they just left it all there to be buried by centuries of dust.
Somehow, the people in charge of the Traveling Black Market-- or TBM-- found out about it, and raided the university, stealing the holocron before the Jedi arrived. They were now going to sell it for a high price to some private collector. Sia and Daryll were to pose as representatives of a wealthy buyer on Coruscant, and to steal back the holocron. If possible, they were to shut down the TBM for good.
So the Jedi Order arranged for a private, luxurious, and expensive, transport to take them to Corellia. The transport was complete with new wardrobes for the two Jedi-- Also very expensive. Once they arrived, they went to the location the Order's informant had told them where it was. It was a huge 5-story warehouse.
They entered, and found themselves in a nice-looking lobby, complete with a secretary and five huge but well-dressed bodyguards. With the help of her pheromones and the Force, Sia was able to convince them all that they were representatives of a very rich, powerful, and--for security reasons-- unnamed Senator.
They were shown through a door, and they found themselves surrounded by shady-looking people and hundreds of illegal items. One devaronian to their left advertised pictures of Republic Military tanks-- and he had even brought one into the warehouse, where it sat behind him. A Twi'lek to their right had rack upon rack of armor, from Republic Military Armor, to ancient Sith Trooper Armor, to Mandalorian Armor, and dozens that Sia didn't even recognize. A human in front of them stood at a table with dozens of illegal disruptor weapons on it. The activity went on for the entire level, which was a few hundred feet wide, and even longer. And there were 5 more stories, each one containing just as many illegal items. The third floor, according to the map they had been given, even had a temporary bar and gambling area set up. The very top floor contained the smallest items, And that was most likely where the holocron was. While Daryll looked for the holocron on the top floor, Sia browsed the fourth floor, the one containing mostly handheld weapons. It had disruptor weapons, illegally modified blasters, swords, tiny scanner-proof knives, and even a few lightsabers, most likely taken from fallen Jedi. According to the map, the first floor contained mostly vehicles. The second floor contained mostly armor. The third was mostly a bar and casino, along with some temporary living quarters for staff and those who could afford to stay there, and the fourth had weapons.
Sia went to the third floor to see if she could get any drunk, off-duty staff to tell her the best way to shut the place down. One particularly talkative devaronian said there was no way, except to get rid of the vendors themselves. Sia asked him if there was a way to do that, and with the help of his alcohol, the Force, and her pheremones, it was laughably easy to get him to talk more, though Sia didn't like his solution. He said, in slurred, heavily accented basic, that if one of the buildings' jamming systems' emitters went down, which was apparently how they had kept their illegal goings-on hidden, the Authorities would come running. The reason Sia didn't like that was that these people were too heavily armed... and armored. They would put up a huge fight if they had to, Sia was certain of that. But there was another, more likely-to-happen ending if that jammer went down. The Republic had installed an automated satellite in orbit for the sole purpose of locating and destroying the TBM. The Satellite had highly-advanced sensors for detecting the emissions given off by all the illegal vehicles and weapons, then it would shift it's orbit to float directly above wherever that was. It would then fire it's three very-precise turbolasers at the spot, given it wasn't too close to anything important. The jammers had been made to protect the TBM whenever they came back to Corellia, which nobody knew why they did. The founder of the TBM was from Corellia, so everyone assumed it was for sentimental reasons. They also got some of the best business there. If one of the emitters went down, the devaronian explained, minutes later 'red streaks 'o doom' would rain down from the turbolaser batteries in orbit, killing everyone inside. That one appealed even less to Sia, because there was no guarantee they would escape in time after shutting down the generators. Or they could simply leave with the holocron, not shutting down the TBM.
When Sia and Daryll regrouped, he had the holocron, and had replaced the one on display with a very detailed fake. It was time to leave.
Sia informed him of their options, and after a few minutes of thinking and debating, they decided upon the harder route: shutting down the jammers, and hoping that the turbolaser would destroy the building. Hoping that they would get out fast enough.
But then as they were looking around for a way to destroy them simultaneously, they realized they could just set explosive charges on the jammers and use remote detonators. So they bought several charges and some detonators and got to work.
They set charges on all the jammers and rigged them to three different detonators. Two were handheld, one for Sia and one for Daryll. The third was also for Daryll, though it was a dead-man's switch. He planned to use the TBM building's intercom to see if he could get everyone to surrender. If they attacked and killed him, then it would be the same as pushing the button on the detonators. Sia snuck out at the same time, alerting the local authorities, and telling them to surround the warehouse-- at a distance, of course. They would capture anyone who surrendered.
Surprisingly, almost all of the black marketeers surrendered. Or at least, fled the warehouse only to be met by the authorities. The idea of being bombed from orbit didn't appeal to them. The remainder of the black marketeers who stayed at the warehouse prepared to assault the authorities with their heaviest weapons. Only they didn't get the chance. After meeting with the authorities, Sia had requested to be flown up to the satellite and it be turned on manual. Hands guided by the Force, instead of targeting the TBM warehouse, she targeted an area near the advancing horde of tanks and heavy armor-clad black marketeers. She fired the turbolaser, and it hit an area in the field the marketeers were currently in. Seeing that it was merely a warning, and that the satellite was not only capable of just targeting the warehouse, they quickly reconsidered the offer to surrender. And so, though not according to the Jedi duo's original plan, the TBM was shut down, without even destroying anything in the warehouse, including the jammers. It was all confiscated.
In the years that followed, Daryll and Sia went on eight more missions together, four diplomatic and four more not-so-diplomatic. Sia learned much about the Force after five years with Daryll.
Exactly five more years of training at the Jedi Temple after that, they were put on another assignment, though this time they were not alone. They were teamed up with Sia's childhood friend Tik and his twi'lek Master Ruthann. This time the mission was on Tatooine, where a Dark Jedi was leading a small fleet that was capturing any incoming ships or ships departing from the few settlements on the surface. They had even captured two Jedi and their padawans that had been caught off guard. The fleet was holding the ever-growing group hostage, demanding a ransom from the Republic.
The Republic couldn't do much; If they came out of hyperspace with the fleet they had prepared, the Pirates would kill the hostages. And even if they didn't kill them right away, destroying the ships would do the same. So the Jedi sent out Daryll, Ruthann, Sia, and Tik to free the hostages and if possible capture the fallen Jedi, then escape to the surface while the Republic fleet mopped up the other pirates.
Daryll dipped into his own bank account--his family was very rich-- and bought a hyperdrive-equipped Ministry-class shuttle named the Martyrdom, knowing any ship owned by the Jedi Order would be recognized.
Once they reached Tatooine, Ruthann applied a Force-cloak to them, hiding them from the Dark Jedi. They were taken as prisoners by the other pirates, and put with the rest of the hostages on the fleet's flagship, a Republic Blockade Runner. Sia used her persuasive powers to keep the pirates from searching them and discovering the lightsabers. Coincidentally, the other Jedi happened to be Sia's other childhood friends, Lila and Isath, and their Masters Den, a sullustan, and Rog, a huge weequay.
After the short, but sweet, reunion, they got to work. They first carved a new door out into the hallway, and led the hostages to the hangar while knocking out any guards along the way. The Jedi group then led a small group of the hostages-- any who had enough experience with weapons-- to the armory, then equipped the 30 weapon-using freed hostages. Den, Rog, Lila and Isath also reclaimed their lightsabers. Ten of the armed hostages went back to guard the hangar. The other twenty went with the Jedi.
They bravely fought their way through the hallways of the ship up to the bridge. Once they arrived, a fierce battle between the Jedi, the twenty escapees, and the Elite pirate guards all over the bridge and the bridge crew.
The Jedi and the escapees won, but with heavy casualties. Only 6 of the escapees survived, and Ruthann was wounded by a blaster bolt that found its way past her blade and into her shoulder.
They were preparing to call the Republic fleet in when pirate reinforcements came, led by the Dark Jedi. They landed in the hangar and retook the prisoners as hostages, slaughtering the ones that tried to fight back. Then the group made their way to the bridge. The Jedi and the 6 surviving escapees were no match for the Dark Jedi and dozens of his elite squad of bounty hunters and mercenaries. They killed the 6 escapees, but they had a different plan for the Jedi.
They used stunners on the Jedi, who were unable to defend against the dozens of stun bolts that came simultaneously.
The pirates took their Jedi prisoners to the interrogation room. First, they just tortured them with all means of physical torture. They weren't even trying to get information.
After three days of that, the Dark Jedi began a different form of torture. He had each Jedi brought into his chambers separately. And so the Jedi couldn't tell each other what to expect, after he was done he would move them to a different interrogation room.
The Dark Jedi went in order from highest-ranked to lowest. First he took Daryll, the oldest and most experienced Jedi Master of the group. Next was Ruthann, then Den, then Rog. Then he took Tik, Lila, and Isath. Sia was the youngest, so she was last.
When Sia was taken to the chambers of the Dark Jedi, who was a huge mountain of a man, he was over two meters tall, he reached into her mind with the Force. He brought to life her greatest fears.
He tortured her in this manner for several hours, much longer then the other Jedi had been gone. Sia guessed that it was either because she was last, or he just find her the most amusing.
Eventually, the Dark Jedi found her worst memory-- the death of her parents. He played the scene over and over again in Sia's mind, and each time, Sia was unable to stop it. All she could do was watch in horror. Finally, she had had enough. She remembered her pheromone and her own skills in projecting and reading the emotions of others. She knew she was no match for a Master of the Force such as this Dark Jedi, but it might give her a chance to escape.
She released her pheromones first, slowly luring the Dark Jedi into a false sense of security. Because she was careful to hide the conscious thoughts in her mind, and because he was enjoying her torment so much, he didn't notice. Then she gathered all her remaining strength, and tried to project fear and uncertainty into the mind of her captor. It was pitiful compared to his power, but it gave her a quick moment to summon her lightsabers from his belt (As he was wearing all of the Jedi's lightsabers as trophies) and attack him.
She fought furiously, but it was still not enough to beat the Master. Eventually, Sia was worn down too much, and the Dark Jedi merely shoved her with a powerful Force blast into the wall. She was out cold.
When she awoke, she was in a different cell, but with the other Padawans.
However, Isath was armed. He was wearing an unfamiliar dark robe and had a lightsaber hanging from his belt. With a start, Sia realized that the Dark Jedi had turned Isath to the Dark Side.
He taunted the other Padawans, especially Sia when he realized she was awake. Sia, Lila, and Tik tried to talk to him, trying to redeem him, but it was no use. After nearly a half-hour of more taunting words and speeches about how the Dark Side was more powerful, he was summoned by his new Master, and left.
There were three heavily armed guards just outside their cell. One was a Weequay, one a human, and the third a Rodian. They were supposed to be watching the three young Jedi carefully, but instead they just stood outside the cell, talking.
Then they sensed that Isath and his new Master had left, most likely for the planet. After about a half-hour, the three Padawans had silently formed a plan.
((Rest of mission in RP Sample...)
After the mission, the Dark Jedi was placed under guard at the Jedi Temple, and Isath slowly came back to the light, though he would be emotionally scarred from his brief experience with the Dark Side forever.
Sia was promoted to Jedi Knight, along with the rest of the Padawans. Isath, however, left the Order to travel back to Manaan, saying that he was not sure if he would return.
After her promotion to Knight, Sia went on two more missions over two years, the second of which, her lightsabers were both lost during a fight with a Mandalorian bounty hunter. Just as she was preparing to leave Coruscant for Illum to find more crystals to make her lightsabers, A package arrived for her. It contained the remains of her fathers' twin aqua-colored lightsabers. Sia created her new lightsabers to look similar to her fathers' sabers, but with one of the sabers' activator button on the opposite side of the emitter, making it better for a backhanded grip. She put two hat adjusters on it, one controlling the length of the blade, and the other the intensity of the blade.
Over the next twelve years, Sia went on many, many missions, often being teamed up with another Knight, sometimes with Tik or Lila. During her spare time (Which she had alot of) she would often look for the Triumph's former comm officer, Karta. She never knew why, but she was sure that she'd met her before. She recently decided she would take a Padawan, and has yet to choose one.

Sia released a wave of pheromones and emotions of calm directed at the three guards, then nodded to Lila and Tik. The talking and the laughter of the guards got louder as Sia silently lulled them into a false sense of security.
Then the three young Jedi gathered their strength and simultaneously unleashed it all, combining their powers into a huge wave of Force energy.
The concussive power of the blast was enough to embed the guards in the durasteel wall behind them, knock the barred cell door off its hinges, and smash it into the guards.
Sia stared at the carnage, then shook her head to clear it. She glanced back at Lila and Tik, who did the same.
"C'mon, let's get out of here before someone comes to investigate," Sia said.
Tik and Lila nodded, and the three ran out of the cell and down the hall. They stopped when they came to a ventilation shaft covered by a grate.
Sia pried the grate off with the Force, crawled in, and waited while Lila and Tik crawled in behind her. After they were in, Sia carefully replaced the grate with the Force, just as a large group of pirates ran by their hiding place.
Sia turned to face her two friends.
"Okay, now what?" Lila asked.
"We need a plan," Sia said. "A good one."
"Yeah," Tik agreed.
"Okay, we need to do three things: Free the hostages, free the Masters, and then get offa' this ship," Sia said.
"Don't you think that if it was easy to do so, the Masters would've freed themselves?" Lila said. "Who knows what kind of security they have? They could be guarded by dozens of pirates, held in shielded cells, maybe even sedated!"
"I caught a glimpse of where they're being held when I was being dragged to our cell," Tik said. "Their sedative doesn't work well on my species. The Masters' cell is much like ours, but on the other side of the ship, near where we were first held before we were.... moved. It's right next to that Dark Jedi pirate's private quarters. Instead of durasteel bars, they have a one-way shield. It lets things in, such as people or blaster bolts, but nothing out. Inside that, they have individual cells, all similar to the main one, but smaller. There's something on the ceiling that could only be the shield generator."
Sia chuckled. "And you got all that from a quick glance?"
Tik grinned. "I may have overpowered my guard and had a quick conversation with Master Ruthann through the shields before more guards grabbed me."
Sia and Lila both laughed at that.
"Okay, so first we need weapons. You guys remember where the Armory is, right?"
Lila and Tik both nodded.
"'Kay, so we make our way there through these vents, grab some weapons, then go to the Masters' cell. We bust them out, free the hostages, get everyone to the hangars, then get out of here."
"That easy, huh?" Tik said sarcastically.
"We're forgetting about that Dark Jedi and Isath. We need to capture the both of them alive!" Lila said.
"The Dark Jedi is too powerful, and I fear that Isath may be beyond our reach," Tik said sadly.
"Once we're away from the planet, we can call in the fleet, and then they can take care of the pirate fleet. Then they can convince the Dark Jedi and Isath to surrender," Sia said.
"Are you sure they'll surrender? They could easily steal a ship from whatever settlement they're at and sneak by the Republic Fleet," Tik countered.
Sia bit her lip while she thought, an unconscious habit she had developed over the years.
"We'll think of something after we rescue the Masters," she said finally. "Sitting around isn't going to help anyone."
"Agreed," Tik said. Lila nodded.
After nearly a full hour, they had crawled through the vents to the armory, stolen a few blasters, a few minor explosive charges, and even a lightsaber that had once belonged to Isath. Sia assumed that he had built a new lightsaber after turning to the Dark Side. The three Padawans had all agreed that Sia should carry the saber, as she was more skilled with a blade then Lila and Tik. After another hour of sneaking through air vents, they had arrived at their Masters' cell(s). There were a half-dozen guards on the outside of the outer shield, and three more inside. The four inside had heavy armor and vibroswords, and the outer guards had blaster rifles.
Sia snuck to the room behind the cell, an empty storage room. Lila and Tik went around to the outer shield's hallway, waiting for Sia's signal.
Sia ignited the lightsaber, the blue blade lighting up the dark, empty storage room. She paced along the far wall for a minute, trying to determine her Master's exact location. She could feel his, along with the other Masters' sense of curiosity. They were all wondering exactly what their Padawans' plans were.
She stabbed the wall, careful not to push it too far. The three inner guards might notice a blue lightsaber blade sticking out of the wall, and she didn't want to stab Daryll. Of course, the three guards weren't even facing the cells, they were currently conversing with the outer guards through the outer shield.
Sia slowly carved a small hole in the wall, then deactivated the blade.
"Sia?!" came Daryll's quiet whisper. "I'm glad to see you, of course, but what are you doing?!"
"We have a plan to get out of here, but for it, you'll need this," Sia whispered back as she pushed a small holdout blaster pistol through the hole. She could sense his understanding as she explained the plan to him, then she did the same with the other three Masters. All four of them made sure to block the small hole from the view of their captors.
Sia leapt back up into the air vent through the sliced-open ceiling grate, then climbed right over the shield generator for the holding cells. She sent the signal through the Force to the Masters and the other Padawans, and she plunged the lightsaber into the floor. There was the sound of machinery powering down, then confused shouts from the pirates. Then surprised shouts as they were thrown backwards by the Masters, and then a chorus of blaster shots. Sia quickly crawled forward, then plunged the lightsaber into the floor again, carving a hole big enough for her to drop through, into the fray.
She dropped through, landing in a crouch, then coming up into a fighting stance. The Force took over from there, and her hands were guiding the blade of the lightsaber to bat away blaster bolt after blaster bolt after blaster bolt, sending them back to their attackers. She could see that Daryll, Rog, and Den had each taken vibroswords from the inner guards, ditching the small holdout blasters.
They too were batting blaster bolts away, though Sia knew it was not easy or safe to do so with a vibrosword. The impact and the energy transfer of the blaster bolt hitting the sword could transfer to the swords' energy cell, causing it to short out. There were a variety of ways that could go wrong. The short could cause the sword to become just that-- a sword, or it could transfer all it's energy into the blade and handle of the sword itself, shocking the user, or it could simply explode.
Luckily, or rather, thanks to the Force, none of the swords did that.
Ruthann was sitting cross-legged in her cell, meditating. She had learned the ancient art of battle meditation, and she used it now to help the Jedi win the fight.
The outer guards had all either died or ran, and only the armored inner guards remained. The armor they wore seemed to be impenetrable by either lightsaber or blaster bolt, and even though three of the four had been robbed of their swords, they were putting up quite a fight. Sia was currently fighting the one that still had a sword, assisted by her Master. Rog was taking on one of the guards alone, Den was doing the same, and the last was suddenly thrown into the ceiling and knocked unconscious by a thought from Ruthann.
But even the heavy armor couldn't protect the guards for long, especially when they were fighting Jedi assisted by a Battle Meditation.
After a few minutes of fighting, the Jedi had won, and were running down the halls to the brig of the ship. They freed the hostages, then led the group to the hangar. But the Dark Jedi and Isath were waiting for them.
"You can't win," Daryll said, his voice echoing around the hangar.
"Isath, you disappoint me," Rog said to his Padawan. "You are stronger than this. You could have resisted his temptations!" The huge Weequay's voice, even though he was trying to sound soft and compassionate, came across louder and more menacing then Daryll's.
"Isath, the Dark Side won't lead you to--" Sia began.
"ENOUGH!!!" boomed the Dark Jedi. "You fools! You cannot, you will not take my apprentice from me! We will destroy you all!"
Without warning, he raised his hands, and a huge storm of blue-white lighting crackled from his fingertips and enveloped the group of Jedi. (The hostages had stayed out in the hallway, waiting for the Jedi to say it was safe to come in)
The combined might of the Masters protected the Jedi from the storm. Isath ignited his lightsaber, then charged through the storm unharmed and into the group of Jedi. The Masters were concentrating on blocking the huge lightning storm, and were unable to stop him.
Sia ignited her lightsaber, dove through the legs of the huge wall of Weequay in front of her, then rolled up just in time to protect the Master from the red blade of Isath's new lightsaber. "Isath! What are you doing?! You can fight this! Turn away from the Dark Side!"
Isath hesitated, but he attacked again. The hesitation was all Sia needed, however, and she flicked her blade as the red met blue again, disarming (quite literally) Isath.
The Dark Jedi, shocked that his apprentice had failed so utterly, stopped his lightning attack for a second. Before he could continue, Ruthann had used the Force to pin him against the floor. Sia leapt forward and slammed her lightsaber hilt into his head, knocking him out.
After getting the hostages back aboard their ships, the Jedi boarded their own, making sure that the Dark Jedi was sedated in the cargo hold, and while Ruthann tended to Isath's wounds and Daryll piloted, Sia got on the comm and contacted the Republic Fleet.
"Republic Task Force Delta, this is the Jedi strike team. The hostages are freed; you are clear to engage."
"Roger that, strike team. Engaging now."
Sia bit her lip in thought again. The voice seemed familiar somehow. But she was snapped out of her trance as the Republic Fleet dropped out of hyperspace and engaged the pirates.
The Jedi ship lifted off the hangar floor, and was the first ship out into space. Too busy defending from the Republic, the pirate ships payed no attention to their escaping hostages.
Daryll docked with the Republic Task Force's flagship, a Hammerhead-class called the Triumph, where the Dark Jedi was transfered to a maximum security cell, and Isath to the medlab.
After the brief battle, Sia approached the captain, a Mon Calamari. He was studying reports from the many soldiers.
"Captain, I was wondering, who is your comm officer?"
"She's a young human. Karta's her name. She's a new recruit, and a Mandie. I think she'll do very good in the Navy," he said, distractedly.
I upped the telepathic sense to an 8. The reason for this is because she's a Zeltron, and I forgot that they could already sense emotions, even without the Force. Sia does have the Force...
~First Mission ~ Black Market Hunt ~ Corellia~
