Problem.
The thought didn't come nearly quick enough. As the Echani began to exit the bar, he twisted to the side in an attempt to dodge the ambusher's attack.
It didn't work.
Myn grunted as he felt the gauntlet slam into his chest. The leather pilot's uniform whispered but refused to tear under the strain as it's wearer flew backwards.
Stumbling and almost managing to keep his balance, a kick sent him backwards over a table onto his back.
The Trandoshan had definately got the jump...
Myn rolled, throwing a pepper shaker into the lizard's eyes. The room filled with a series of curses and hissing as the reptile backed up, wiping at it's eyes with clawed fingers.
Pushing himself up off the ground, Myn regained his bearings a half a second before being blindsided by a twi'lek male. He had already felt two ribs give way. Being slammed into the bar did not help the situation.
The barkeep seemed to give the human male a look of pity before ducking under the counter.
A human male smashed several drinks which had been abandoned along the bar. Flicking a small lighter, he lit the end. Myn watched the flames leap across the bar towards his body. Before it was upon him, he slammed his heel down on the twi'lek's foot and followed it up with an elbow to the face. There was a sickening crack as the man stumbled backwards, blinded by blood.
A pair of arms wrapped around Myn's torso, squeezing. The trandoshan.
The human watching the procedings had a slight smile to his face as he watched the two struggling. The Echani managed to withdraw his WESTAR-34 blaster pistol, pointing it at the trando, then at the floor. The beast was stronger, but nowhere near as intelligent.
A single shot infront of the reptile's foot and the beer it was standing on was set aflame. Slamming the butt of the pistol into the trandoshan's kneecap, he hit it again in the face with the pistolgrip, sending it reeling. Firing twice into it's chest, he ducked as a spray of automatic fire scythed where he had been a moment ago. Hitting the ground, he kicked a chair in the direction the fire had come from.
Another pair of humans burst through the door, taking a moment to re-orient and charged at the Echani. Myn had enough time to shoot the first one before the second one managed to get into a grapple. As the two humans slammed into a wall, Myn gritted his teeth, ignoring the pain. vaguely, he heard a man begin to speak.
"Shoot them. Shoot them both."
The man Myn was wrestling with released Myn's gun hand, which pointed directly at the twi'lek moving in with the repeater. The WESTAR whined twice, the recoil allowing Myn to adjust to hit the speaker in the shoulder, sending the man into a group of hiding civilians.
Head butting the man holding him down, he shot twice more, ridding himself of a burden. Shoving the body off to the side with a heavy thud, the Echani held his left shoulder for a moment, pushing on it. He cursed in his native language as it popped back into place.
Kicking a table out of the way, he moved towards the civilians. They shoved the wounded man out onto the ground.
As the other man rolled over, Myn put his foot on the human's shoulder, pressuring it causing a gasp of pain in response. The WESTAR barrel pointed at the man's forehead, unwaveringly.
"I try to leave nicely and you ambush me. All you had to do is ignore me and I would've left without a problem."
"With you, there's always a problem."
"It's not my fault you got too involved with the corporations. Czerka hates traitors, you know this. They heard about your attempt to rat them out. Only problem is you went to the wrong people."
Myn pushed down on the burn, causing a cry.
"So this is what it comes down to. Even after all we've been through?"
"What? A pair of beers, a mission and a girlfriend?"
"Leanna?"
"I told you she'd empty your bank account."
"I..."
The Blaster echoed throughout the bar. The stone walls giving a painful tinge to the sound. A burnt ozone smell wafted through the air as the Echani pushed his way through the debris to the door. Holstering the WESTAR at his hip, he almost didn't have enough time to throw the lightsaber hilt.
The man was stepping around the door corner with a blaster carbine. Too close to withdraw the WESTAR, too far to lunge and knock the weapon out of the way.
The lightsaber activated as it left Myn's hands, flying through the air for one rotation before stabbing into the man's chest. As he fell to his knees, Myn deactivated the saber, pulling it out of the man's chest. He pushed past the man, still staring at the hole in his chest.
Stumbling into the streets, he headed towards the hotel he was staying at. It was time to leave.
