Name: Jakob “Jay” LaPierre
Race: Human
Age: 28
Height: 6”1
Weight: 220lb
Appearance:
Jakob is a tall, powerfully built man who gives off an intimidating aura. His large muscles are shown through the semi-tight singlets that he usually wears, and this also shows the numerous scars on his arms. Although he has dark hair, he shaves it reasonably low, keeping it the same length as his chin-strap beard, which leads to his goatee. He has three piercings in his right ear, a bar and a ring.
To cover his legs, Jakob often wears either work pants in navy blue or brown, or black combat pants. He is almost always wearing his steel-toed, lace up boots. The belt that he wears has holsters for both of his blaster pistols, and a sheath for his utility knife is regularly worn to the back of his left hip.
When it gets cool, Jakob wears a Pea Coat-style made of a heavy grey woollen fabric. When he wears this, the collar is flicked up around the back of his neck and the base of his head. When he wears this coat, the sheath for his knife is strapped to his left forearm, hidden by the sleeve of his coat for easy access.

Bio:
To understand Jakob LaPierre’s life, we first have to understand his parents. Dominic LaPierre had been born into a family highly regarded as powerful mercenaries, who originated from Dantooine, and he was no different to the others. From a young age he started fighting alongside his family, who sided with the Mandalorians against the republic. He was only seventeen when the war finished. In contrast, Jakob’s mother, Ellen Payne, was the daughter of a farmer on Dantooine, living a simple life.
After the war had finished, with nowhere to fight, the LaPierre family settled on Dantooine, buying a farm neighbouring that of the Payne family, and eventually Dom and Ellen met, becoming intimately involved almost immediately. Unfortunately for the two, when Dom was nineteen and Ellen was seventeen, Ellen became pregnant with who would become their only child, Jakob. When the fathers became aware, they forced a shotgun marriage, and Dom found himself moving in with the Payne family, even if it was begrudgingly.
When Jakob was born, his main carers were both his mother and grandmother, whilst the men worked out on the farm. Unfortunately, however, any care he got from the men was less than welcome. His father had never wanted him, and constantly blamed Jakob, even abusing him until the later years of his life. To his grandfather, Jakob was a constant reminder of the shame that his daughter had a fallen pregnant before marriage. It was with this environment, that Jakob LaPierre began growing and learning.
As Jakob grew, he gained the wrath of his father and grandfather on many occasions, often resulting in him receiving a beating from one of the men. Although this frightened and saddened the women, they were worried that they would receive the same treatment if they stood up to the men.
Life for Jakob continued in this manner until he became old enough to go to school. With his mother wanting him to get a proper education, and his father wanting him out of the way, Jakob found himself attending one of the nearby schools. Right from the start, because of his size, Jakob was a bully. He drew a following group of supporters he called friends, and constantly assaulted and harassed other students. With the start of school, however, Jakob’s grandfather decided that he was now old enough to start working on the farm. He was given small chores such as herding and feeding the Kath Hounds.
Jakob and his friends were, to state it simply, an absolute nightmare to the school and the community, when they were left to their own devices. They would intimidate, abuse and assault other kids, vandalise and show a straight out disregard for authority.
Jay enjoyed his time as the leader of the pack, even if he was only the leader because he was the strongest. Slowly, however, the group thinned as people moved, changed schools or were seperated by the teachers. This pattern would continue for years, until they were reunited at the next level of schooling.
When Jakob was twelve, his grandfather and father had an argument over management of the farm, and resulted in Dom being more withdrawn, keeping to himself on his own in the garage. Occasionally Jakob would join him, and for once his father was more tolerant of the boy. He began teaching him how to do basic mechanical work for speeders, such as services and minor adjustments, aswell as teaching him of some things he learnt fighting for the Mandalorians. Explosives. This pattern continued for a few weeks, until Jay’s grandparents left for the city of Garang one night. Hours later, the family was contacted to tell them that his grandparents had died in a mysterious speeder accident. Jakob strongly believed his father was behind it. His mother was too overcome with the grief of losing her parents that she could not see the involvement of her husband.
Jakob was suddenly thrown in the deep end by his father, expecting him to take over a greater work load to make up for his grandfather’s death. Jakob now found himself studying and working all in one day, and if his work was not up to scratch, a beating could be added into that list, at the hands of his father. Life was getting tough for Jay, and his environment at school was not much better. Teachers were coming down heavily on him for bullying, trying to straighten him out. This only led to further assaults to vent his frustration.
When he was fourteen, Jakob watched as his mother, the only person who had ever really cared for him, became ill. He helped care for her whenever he wasn’t busy, but he watched on as she slowly deteriorated and eventually passed away from her illness. It was an event that would stay in his mind forever, watching those previously warm eyes turn cold and roll backwards into her head. He returned to school, but was more quiet. He took to walking the boundaries on his spare time. It was on one of these walks that he noticed two others. One was a man, obviously a hard worker, and the other was a boy, around his age. That night, Jay told his father that he wanted to meet them, not wanting to do anything to anger his already abusive father. He was greeted with a sharp blow to the jaw, and an explanation that confused him:
”They’re republican, conformist pigs. You stay away from them, or they’ll turn you rotten to the core.”
It didn’t deter him though, and Jay found himself walking that particular border more frequently, hoping to get a chance to meet these “Republicans” for himself. Unfortunately, the time would never come. He did, however, learn their names. Erledutch Sampson 4 and 5. He smirked, thinking that he was better than them every time he thought of them. He wasn’t a conformist like they were, after all.
The tension built up inside Jay grew more and more every day, with the abuse from his father, the pressure from his teachers and his chores on top of his homework making him extremely tightly wound, and he would snap at the smallest things. One day, when he was sixteen, one of the other boys at school referred to him as a bastard, and his mother as a sleeper who couldn’t keep her legs together. Jakob erupted, assaulting the boy without regards for any of the consequences. When they managed to pull him off, the other boy was unconscious, and nearly died on route to the hospital. Luckily for Jakob, his father got involved, and was able to intimidate the boy’s family from taking legal action. Unfortunately, Jakob was kicked out of school.
This led to Jakob taking a greater role in helping his father on the farm. His jobs were now increased, and he did just as much on the farm as his father, strengthening his already powerfully built frame. He also began working on engines a lot, until eventually he began servicing his friends’ speeders for cash. It was completely off the books stuff, as all Jakob wanted was the money, and not the hassles with taxes. Eventually, however, he became tired of repairing his friends’ vehicles. He wanted one of his own, and his eyes were set on an amazing speeder in a local yard – a ZeeTech Industries Z990 Calamaro. It was a stylish, sleek coupe, but what mattered to him more was that it was fast. The problem – he didn’t have the money needed to buy it. It was then that one of his friends took him to a neighbouring farm one night.
Flint. The name would stay with him forever. He watched the blows collide, the blood fly and the crowd roar. He knew straight away that he had to get involved in these fights. He started, and straight away he started a run of success. He loved the thrill, the adrenaline rush and the feeling of his bare knuckles colliding with another person. He loved the feeling of causing pain, and winning. Eventually, he built up the small sum that he needed on top of his savings to buy his speeder. He decided then, that he didn’t want to fight anymore. He purchased his speeder, and turned to just watching.
One particular fighter he watched was Dutch Sampson. Even though he did not win originally, he respected the other young man’s ability to take a hit and keep standing up again. Eventually, however, he watched as Dutch began to become more and more successful, eventually earning the nickname that Jakob thought was fitting. After one fight, as he passed through the crowd, Jakob shook his hand, handing him some ice for a bruise at the same time whilst saying, “Congratulations, Voritor. He looked at the face of the young man for a while, before eventually turning, walking back to his speeder and his friends.
When he was twenty-one, Dom decided to give Jakob a way to protect himself, and gave him two identical blasters and a single utility knife, telling him to carry them with him wherever he went.
Life would continue in the same way for Jakob for years. He would help on the farm in the morning, work on speeders in the afternoon and attend flint at night. It was a simple life, but one he was content with. When he was twenty-four, however, he met a person who would influence his future. One day as he and his friends drove through the city, one of his friends introduced him to a friend of hers, a young blonde woman named Hannah Germov. The two became friends almost immediately.
Hannah and Jakob began spending more and more time together, until eventually the two were inseparable. Encouraged by their friends, the two started dating, and it became unusual to see Jakob out without his beautiful girlfriend tucked into his body, his arm wrapped around her carefully, almost as if he were afraid he would break her. Time passed, and as the two began to become more serious, Hannah moved into the LaPierre homestead, helping out with the household chores whilst the men worked the fields. Of course, Dom, who seemed to hate everyone, had no care for Hannah, and treated her as though she was dirt.
Life, for all inhabitants on Dantooine, changed one fateful day. Jakob was alone out in the fields when he saw the Sith ships begin floating through the sky. He looked up at them in awe, never having seen anything so big and powerful. He simply watched as the energy beams flew from the ships. He could hear explosions of their contact in the distance. Suddenly, he comprehended what was happening, and got in his speeder to drive home. When he arrived at his house, he found a sith officer leaving. He had been that far out on his lands that the Sith had already completed their invasion of the country side by the time he arrived. He entered to find that Dom had agreed to side with the Sith, which was an act that saved their homestead. He then noticed that there was something missing. He walked through his house, trying to find Hannah. Eventually, however, he heard noises from outside. He ran from the house, and came around the corner just in time to see the dead body of Hannah, lying naked on the ground, and a Sith troop carrier leaving the area. He then heard his father’s voice,
”I had to give them something”
Jakob’s response was simple:
”I hate you with all of my existence.”
Jakob cremated Hannah, knowing that was what she had wanted if she were to die, and as he watched the fire, he gripped the blade of his knife, cutting his palm. He let the blood drip into the fire and said,
”I will avenge you, even if I die doing it, and may you greet me in the force when I reach you.”
The next few weeks were hectic for Jakob. He and some of his friends began making hasty and poorly planned attacks on small Sith convoys, hoping to cripple their efforts. Eventually, however, his friends were either all dead or captured, leaving him alone with his increasingly suspicious father. He turned to single hits, taking out scouts and officers that ventured too far on their own. He knew, however, that his efforts were useless. He did, however, hear of a group that interested him. The Dantooine Liberation Army. He searched endlessly for them, but knew his efforts were useless. He would never be able to find them.
It was his father that told him that two senior members of the DLA had been captured, and he immediately felt a jolt, knowing that he had to try his hardest to help save those men.
And so life would continue for Jakob, living his cat and mouse style life with his opposing father.

”I don’t care what my father says or does. I still don’t like you.” The rough voice of Jakob said, directing it a Sith Officer who had come to the house, insisting to come in, ”Now I told you, he isn’t here, and you aren’t coming in. He won’t be home for an hour. So either you can wait outside, or you can go stick it. Either way, I’m not particularly fussed as long as you stay out of my way.” With that, he slammed the door furiously in the officer’s face.
He returned to the kitchen, throwing open the cupboard open. He looked at two things in there. The first was the food, but that wasn’t what he was looking for. He gripped one of the blasters inside, checking the power cell quickly. He walked back to the door where the officer was knocking once again. He threw it open before saying angrily, ”Fine. I’ll take you to him then. Your speeder.” His instinct was to smile when the lone Sith officer agreed.
The two men sat in silence as the speeder raced away towards the coast at the edge of their land. Suddenly, Jakob said simply, ”Stop.” When the officer looked at him, he pulled the blaster from inside his coat, levelling it straight at the man’s head. He stopped the car, and Jakob said quietly, ”I told you I didn’t like you.”
About thirty minutes later, Jakob watched as the speeder flew off the cliff. It stayed level for a few hundred metres before angling sharply, crashing downwards into the waves. He sighed, before turning on his heel and walking back in the direction of his father’s house.
