"Here we are, folks."
They were on Nal Hutta: homeworld of the Hutts and unpleasant place in general. Kvothe, clad fully in his red and gold armor, looked to each of his companions in turn, knowing full well the extraordinary dangers of the task they were about to embark upon. His eyes were brilliant, shining with a burnished gold that belied the determination burning within him to see this mission through. "There's no turning back from here." They were an odd team, he reflected as his gaze went to each of them in turn. But they worked splendidly, as a well oiled machine. Nothing less would do for what was coming.
The information Eva had was a godsend; she'd had intelligence on a range of things, from what kind of resistance to expect to the best path into the Hutt's compound-turned-fortress. Kvothe didn't know how the woman got so much information, but he'd gladly take it. Anything to help them would be more than welcome. The group took a day or so to form plans and to prepare for the strike, after failing in their initial plan to drag information out of one of Korintha's lieutenants. The time was nigh, as it were, though. A bell would toll soon, and with it, a certain slug would die.
Getting in would be simple enough. It was morning still, and early enough that the sun had not yet broken the horizon to filter through the fetid clouds of smog that hung in the filthy world's air. The bulk of Korintha's people would likely still be sleeping, save for a few guards; that would give them a bit of a buffer to get in before things got difficult. Of course, an alarm would probably be sounded, and from there, they would just have to manage. Kvothe wasn't really worried about getting in, though. Getting out, after they'd kicked the hive and then thrown it at a wall, would be difficult. He was confident in their ability to pull it off, though.
"Well, if everyone's ready, I believe we can get moving." He could feel his heart, beating away in his chest as anticipation mounted. And somewhere, hidden down deep, was the smallest kernel of fear. It didn't bother him; only fools where never afraid of anything. Fear kept you alive on the battlefield, where foolish bravado oftentimes did not. Still, there was a line between fear and cowardice, and a coward, Kvothe was not. The fear was a natural thing, but he knew how to keep it controlled and under his heel. After all, too much fear could be just as bad as thinking oneself invincible, no?
Fas purred as he stretched out, extending his sharp, wicked claws. Some of the same feelings that Kvothe was experiencing were being reciprocated through the bond that the two shared. Fas was ready, just as Kvothe was ready. A few quick keystrokes into a panel got the entry ramp down, clearing the way for them to begin their assault.
Nal Hutta greeted them, with all of its wet, stinking glory. Kvothe's lip turned up at the first whiff of the air outside. Wonderful, he thought, shaking his head. This place will be just wonderful. I can feel it already. Past the stench lay the world itself. It was near enough to sunrise for the soft glow of twilight to hang over everything, but they still had some time yet before the sun would be up. The ground was wet, in most places, rocky in others, and covered with short vegetation. And there, off in the distance, lay their quarry. The Hutt's compound was off in the distance, built into the side of a cliff that soared up and above the surrounding land, just as Eva's information had described it.
Kvothe didn't say anything as he started off in the direction of the compound. What else was there to say? They'd already committed by coming this far, and he knew that each of them, for better or for worse, would see this thing through to the end.

Nal Hutta. There were only a few other planets in the galaxy as repugnant as this one. Eva tended to stay away from these sorts of places. One reason being that they were filthy, the other being they were full of Hutts and the former was probably a result of the latter. The assassin rarely did business with the Hutts, but recently she had made the mistake of doing just that. Things had turned out not so good for her, and like the saying goes hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Make no mistake, Evangeline had been scorned, and Korintha was going to get what was coming to him.
Eva wore rather unassuming clothes. She was indeed a pretty woman, and that could attract some rather unsavory character of which this planet was full to the brim. Thus she wore a rather mundane cloak with the hood up. On a planet full of smugglers, bounty hunters, and murderers, no one would think twice about her appearance. Under the cloak she wore her standard getup considering the plan didn't hinge on her appealing to the opposite sex. She wasn't here to impress, she was here to kill.
An array of various equipment lay before Eva on the table. First she looked to her custom made slugthrower. It was a thing of deadly perfection. She had cleaned and oiled the gun earlier and now checked to make sure she had both her suppressor and significant ammunition. She looked to her rifle which rest against one of the walls, somewhat sad that it would not be coming along with her. It was a long range weapon, hard to conceal and they would mostly be in close quarters. Eva then proceeded to sheath her various blades which were all over her person. One could truly never have enough blades, they tended to be quite useful in sticky situations.
Everything now in place, Eva headed out of her room and to the exit ramp. She found Kvothe waiting in full regalia in a manner of speaking. He was holding no illusions concerning what they were about to attempt. Well, to each his own she mused silently. Eva was an assassin, Kvothe wasn't, they dealt with situations differently to achieve the same result. They were indeed an odd group but that is what made them perfect what for what they needed to do. Each of them had their own unique skills, and those skills would prove vital to their success.
The plan had been laid out, the commitment had been made. All that was left to do was execute the plan...and the Hutt. Eva breathed in deeply and then exhaled away the last of her anxiety. Things were about to get real ugly for Korintha, and that was saying something considering his species. The righteous assassin stepped out onto Nal Hutta and followed Kvothe to her revenge.

Rhissai didn't breathe. The fetor of Nal Hutta's atmosphere was rancid to be sure, but that was simply to the beings who had a less than superior sense of smell. To creatures like Rhissai, the stench was enough to make one nauseous at the very least, and at the very worst... refuse the pungent odor entirely. Every time she tried to take in a breath the thick stench caused a powerful coughing fit, her lungs refusing to abide the quality of "air", if it could be called that, to fuel her body.
The Force provided an ample supplement, replacing what little air remained in her system and allowed her to function. At least until she stood up (she was doubled over previously), and allowed her presence in the Force to flood the area. Tendrils of her awareness curled about the ship, searching for something that would let her put more of her attentions towards acting and not surviving. Eventually, she managed to find one: a breathing apparatus.
It was a big and bulky thing, one that obstructed her vision towards the ground somewhat, but she quickly forgot that when the clean air entered her lungs. She sighed heavily, enjoying each breath as if she hadn't had one in years. Which, oddly enough, is what it felt like.
Casually, as if she didn't have a gas mask covering a good portion of her lower face, she walked down the ramp and regarded her companions. "Krae, Eva... if anything weird happens in there," she motioned towards the compound with her head, "ignore it." Rhiss was, of course, mentioning her ability to create illusions in the Force. She planned on causing a few of Korintha's mercs to soil themselves, and hopefully force one or two to route. Kvothe was immune, and would only see the illusion as a hologram... if he chose to see it at all.
Dark things lurked in her mind... and they would be let out in Korintha's throne room. After stealth and skill, fear was their most powerful weapon against a numerically superior enemy. Hopefully they didn't have anything, besides the slug, that could see past her illusion.
After a few moments of silent thought, she followed Kvothe and Eva. Soon enough, the people who suffered under Korintha's rule would have their revenge.

{ crappy, I know x.x Isosorry}
Kvothe looked back as he squelched and splatted his way along the soggy ground toward the compound. He could not hold down the smile that came when he saw Rhissai, face covered in one of the masks from the Masada, like she was going into the site of some chemical attack. "Is it that bad, Rhissai?" he asked, amusement playing in his voice. "I mean, I know it stinks, but a gas mask?" Strands of silver ran through the gold of his eyes as he turned around, chuckling softly to himself. Of course, he was only playing with the woman. The smell was pretty bad, though. Maybe once they got inside it would be better...
They continued along, and Kvothe kept them near the base of the cliff, using the shadows to better cover their approach from wary eyes; the majority of those within the compound were probably still sleeping, but there would still be watches, if Korintha had half a brain. And it only made sense that they would avoid the notice of those watches until they were ready to be seen.
After walking a while, Kvothe came to a halt behind a large rock that sat about twenty paces away from the edge of a pool of harsh light that surrounded the to the compound. Two thugs with rifles stood out to either side of the door, with one more watching the approach from a platform up above. "Well here we are," he said, using a low voice that wouldn't carry. "How do we want to go about getting through?"
Kvothe figured there were several things they could do. Rhissai could probably provide some distraction with an illusion or something of the sort, or Evan could pick the men off with her ranged weapons prowess. He himself could force the door open with the Mythos. Or perhaps Fas could be sent out to catch the men's attention; Kvothe had no doubt that they'd never seen a flickercat before. Well, the point was, they had a range of available options.
"Whatever we do," he went on to say, "probably needs to be done quickly, right? Don't want to raise too big of a fuss before we get in."

Much like Kvothe, Eva found the breather that Rhissai used rather amusing. It smelled bad, but she didn't think it smelled bad. You never knew with these force users though, she had heard some crazy stories about what they could do. Its not like it really changed anything, it was night and everyone looked shady on this planet. The stench seemed to get fouler as they approached the compound. Must be Korintha she mused silently.
The armor clad man soon came to a stop behind a rock not far from the compound entrance. She took a peak over and noticed the two guarding the door, and then one above on a platform. Eva silently cursed the fact that she had not brought along her long range rifle. Obviously the planet's stench had clouded her better judgment. Of course there were other ways to deal with the situation, especially considering who her companions were. She considered for a moment taking the top guard out with her pistol, it wasn't impossible, but it wasn't exactly easy.
"You guys have already had some fun, I think its time I get my share"
She said in a hushed voice with a sly wink. She quietly removed her cloak, and made sure she hid any of her visible weapons. Eva then proceeded to adjust her clothing so it was rather...enticing. "I will deal with the two on the ground, if someone could take care of the other, that would be fantastic" She checked her pistol once more and made to move but then stopped herself. "Oh if someone doesn't mind bringing my cloak along..."
Eva stepped out into the light and slowly walked forward...well it wasn't exactly walking, more like stumbling. She was hoping the guards weren't all that bright and just assumed she was some drunk woman. Eva was rather pretty and she frequently used that to her advantage. The guard above raised his gun and had Eva in his sights but did nothing. The guards on the ground also had their guns raised but as she closed the distance, their posture began to relax. Eva just continued to stumble towards them with a drunken smile on her face.
The guards were now only a few feet away from her, and she could see their predatory grins. A grin that suddenly appeared on her face as her hand shot behind her back, gripping the handle of her pistol. She drew with frightening speed that could only be attributed to innate talent and years of training. Eva depressed the trigger twice in quick succession which was followed by two muted puffs. The first guards brains exploded out the back of his head and before he had even dropped to the ground, Eva had closed the distance between her and the other guard. Her pistol was in the Twilek's face before he could raise his weapon.
"Lets keep this nice and simple. Open the door and live, or don't and your brains and the ground are about to become well acquainted" She whispered in a cold tone
The guard hesitated for a moment, for which Eva's response was to bring the barrel of her pistol right in line with his eye. That little bit of encouragement sent the Twilek into motion. He went to a panel on the side of the door and quickly typed in a 5 digit code. There was a beep and the doors began to open slowly. She shoved the guard inside to find two more sitting on chairs, looking as if they had just woken up. It was too late for them as Eva's pistol zeroed in on one guard, and put two into his chest. She swiveled and sent another two into the other. The Twilek she had pushed to the ground was making his way to his knees, hastily trying to draw his sidearm. Her pistol was already there though, and she put another two right into his back. The guard slumped to the ground, very much dead.
The assassin checked the other two, and after they were confirming they were dead, motioned to her companions from the door. She ejected her magazine which was nearly spent, and slipped another one in with a satisfying clack. Now that they were in, things would get much more interesting, or atleast so she hoped. The assassin in her knew that if this was a model for the rest of the security, it would be quite easy and done without much effort. The scorned woman in her hoped it wouldn't be that easy, she had got a taste of blood, but her appetite wasn't satiated just yet.

Rhiss couldn't help but narrow her eyes in the form of a small, playful glare directed at her comrades. Obviously they believed her to be human, and didn't know that she could quite easily die if she didn't have some way to stop the wretched smell from entering her lungs. A light smile creased her lips behind the thick half-face gas mask, and a little twinkle came to her eye as a stray thought entered her mind, one that was brought on from the almost raspy sound that her breathing apparatus created. "Kvothe," her voice was muffled, "I am your father." She referenced one of the holovids that was rather popular a few years back with a light snicker afterwards.
As they set off towards Korintha's compound, Rhissai's emerald green eyes flicked about the disgusting environment. The very air of the nasty world seemed to be shrouded in a thick yellow haze, turning what should've been a beautiful environment into an ugly wasteland. She only shook her head at that, and how a species could be proud of turning something pretty into something ugly, bloated, and disgusting.
Rhissai sent a few comforting thoughts towards Wrex, who was left back on the ship. She wouldn't allow him to follow her, despite the fact that he begged to fight alongside his friends. Even though he knew that he'd only die. After a few moments, she started off towards Eva and Kvothe.
The woman caught up with them just in time to hear Eva express her desire to take them by herself. Three men, two on the ground and one above. It would be easy for the assassin to take out the trio, or it wouldn't and she didn't deserve a place in the team. "I'll take the one on the roof," she quickly replied in a hushed tone.
As Eva stumbled forward in a mock drunk stance, a tendril of Rhissai's mind launched towards the man on the roof. His unshielded and unaware mind gave no resistance to her superior will and prowess in telepathy. She wormed her way through the man's mind, searching and scanning for the proper partition.
Being within another's mind was a funny thing. Time as Rhiss knew it slowed to a crawl, becoming timeless and literally impossible to read. Eons passed (or what felt like it) before she found the exact spot she was looking for. She poured her will into it, lulling the man into a deep sleep at the top of the building.
His legs promptly gave out, and his body slumped over like she switched off a light. Ironically enough, that was precisely what she did.
This entire process took about five seconds to complete. Fortunately the two idiots were too busy watching Eva with glazed eyes to notice the third's face plant. The muted report of a pair of gunshots struck her ear, giving her the cue to move up towards the door.
She waited only a few moments more before her muscles surged forward in a display of Force augmented power, and propelled her through the open door. By then Eva had already killed the guards within, but Rhissai drew her lightsaber all the same. The woman held no illusions to the fact that she would need White Fang to survive the approach to Korintha, and certainly the aftermath of his assassination.
Her index finger flicked forward, flipping the ignition switch that lie just below the handguard on her katana-hilted companion. A new star burned to life within the cavernous confines of Korintha's layer. Its silver light danced and flickered like a flame in a wide circle around the plain clothed woman and her companions, and made the dull thrum of a thousand honey bees as they searched for pollen.
Rhissai's back straightened out, her face shifted into something that could only be described as aloof, and her words adopted the cold calculating tone of a Jedi Master. Every time her lightsaber came out, so did the Jedi within her. She couldn't allow anything else to be so. Sterile green eyes, devoid of that minor twinkle from before flicked back towards Kvothe and Eva, "the hunt begins."

Kvothe snickered at Rhissai's reference to that oh-so popular holovid. A great many Understudies back in the Tower had become enamored with it, and its tale of a struggle that spanned the Galaxy. Kvothe had seen it himself, of course; how could he not have, with all of the chatter that filled the Tower's halls at the time of its release? It was decent, enough, he had to admit. Of course, if Rhissai was his father, he'd hate to see what his mother looked like...
Anyway, the trio carried on to their place near the entrance to the compound. Eva took the initiative, and stumbled forward drunkenly, in an obvious ruse. Well, obvious to Kvothe anyway, if for no other reason than that he knew Eva was not drunk. But, to the guards, who were probably little more than run-of-the-mill thugs that got pulled for the night's shift, she was a gift from above--a poor, confused girl that could easily be taken advantage of. Kvothe thought the idea was wonderful.
The guards soon found out that Eva was far from helpless, and with the sound of a few shots, they were dead, and the door into the compound open. Kvothe didn't know much about gunplay in practice, given that he was a melee-focused fighter, but even he could appreciate Eva's work. As he watched, he found himself very thankful that she was along for the ride, if for no other reason than to balance out the rest of the mainly up-close fighters that made up their little team. Of course, Rhissai and himself could reach beyond what their arms could touch with the Force, but still, having someone with some guns was good.
At the same time that Eva was putting on her charade, he felt the Mythos surging through Rhissai. Icy blue played at the edges of his gold irises as he looked at the woman, wondering what she was up to. An instant later, the man that was up on top of the platform that overlooked the entrance collapsed, as if his life simply slipped away from his body. At first, that's exactly what Kvothe thought happened, and his eyes widened in shock as he reached out toward the fallen thug with his senses. No, he wasn't dead. Just unconscious. Again, Kvothe felt wariness rising in the pit of his stomach when he glanced at Rhissai, remembering that the woman was apparently a rather powerful telepath. She was an ally, yes, but a telepath all the same, and all telepaths made him uneasy.
Kvothe pushed his feelings aside and stood when he saw Eva moving into the compound. She fired a few more shots, and by the time he made it in, the assassin was standing over more dead thugs, changing out her magazine. Rhissai entered as well, and the sound of her lightsaber caught Kvothe's attention. When he looked at her, she was standing tall and stoic, a warrior if Kvothe had ever seen one. The light of her silver lightsaber illuminated the area around them, and reflected dully off of the red and gold of Kvothe's armor.
He nodded at her statement. "Aye. I fear it may be more of a battle then a hunt by the time we finish our business here, though." Yes, the hive still slept for the time being, but once they kicked it... "It would probably be wise to avoid as much fighting as we can on our approach to Korintha," he said softly. "We might as well save our energy for the push out of this compound." Of course, that might mean that, at least until the alarm was sounded and stealth wasn't an issue, he'd have to hold himself back intentionally; Kvothe was many things, but when he got going in a fight, stealthy was not one of them, given his proclivity to hurl things and people about like ragdolls. He could manage, though.
Kvothe strode forward purposefully, toward a large set of double doors that led deeper in. They didn't budge. "Locked." he muttered under his breath. The Mythos surged around him, and little hands of it went out to attach to the seam that ran down in between the two doors. With a gentle pull (as gentle as one can be when bending metal) Kvothe moved them back and apart. It was slow, as he was trying not to make them groan, though they did that a bit anyway, much to his annoyance. But it was soft, a sort of whisper, rather than a loud shriek of protest. He stopped when they were bent apart enough for a person to fit through and slipped into the large corridor that lay beyond, motioning for his comrades to follow.

Only moments after Eva had reloaded her pistol, Rhissai was beside her. She quickly swiveled, pistol raised, but held her shot realizing it was her comrade. Eva had a good sense of her surrounding but she didn't have the Force. If someone suddenly appeared beside her, she was prone to shoot them. The assassin lowered her gun and gave Rhissai an apologetic smile. The woman had ignited her lightsaber and looked like she was ready to kill about ten Hutts, Eva wasn't totally against that idea.
Kvothe soon followed and said something about being silent. Luckily for Eva that was something she did quite well, her survival depended on it. She was armed with a silenced pistol and lots of blades, she was equipped perfectly for stealth and subterfuge. It seemed odd that Kvothe was talking about stealth considering the man was garbed in full battle regalia. Its not like she had a problem with that either but it was somewhat ironic.
Now in front of them was their next obstacle, a rather intimidating looking door. Eva looked around for a port so she could try to slice into it, apparently Kvothe had other ideas. The woman could only stand back and watch as the man wrenched the metal door apart. It made some noise but not so much as to attract any unwanted attention. He stopped when the opening was big enough for a person to fit through. Eva had seen some crazy things in her life, and this was nearing the top of the list.
She could only shrug and follow through the newly created door. Her pistol at the ready, there seemed to be yet another long dark corridor. The assassin followed it all the way down, careful to keep her footsteps quiet. She only had a general idea of the compounds layout, her information about it was at best, unreliable. Finally there seemed to be some light as the ground leveled out. Eva slowed her pace to almost that of a crawl, approaching the corner of the wall. The assassin peered around the corner of the wall, and she found herself looking at an open room. There seemed to be multiple doors which she obviously assumed led to different places. There was also what seemed to be atleast three guards.
Eva held up three fingers indicating the number of enemies. He hadn't occured to her that they could sense them through the Force. It was her first time working with Force users, afterall. She looked towards the other two, her expression clearly indicating that she wanted to know how the other two wanted to proceed.

Rhissai watched the woman with a detached look scrawled across her face as she pointed the pistol at her face from a point blank distance. The gaping black void nestled into the durasteel slide of her pistol glared out at her, each instant it was within her sight was a threat. One that wasn't heeded. The Force would tell her if the bullet was about to be set free, and if that were the case she'd simply move out of the way at the final instant. Those emerald green eyes slowly moved up from that glaring maw up to Eva's deep blue eyes.
They were of surprise, and determination. The latter being an admirable trait, and the former being one that could easily get friendlies killed. Her face quickly turned apologetic shortly after pointing that pistol away from her face. Without saying a word, the former Jedi's bright green gaze flicked over towards the door and briefly pondered melting it open with her lightsaber. Though that would take far too much time and cause too much of a disturbance amongst the sentries that were posted fairly close to the door.
The woman was about to speak when she saw Eva attempt to find a port to slice, and Kvothe simply move towards the door. A slight smirk creased her lips when her senses told her what the latter of the two was doing, what he seemed to love to do: telekinesis. She watched as he slowly pulled the doors apart, only allowing them to make the slightest of noises as he did so, and move through the newly created opening. Rhissai herself was the final one through and after feeling no one in the immediate area, lightly drug White Fang across the first layer of skin on her arm before deactivating it.
Rhiss wore heavy boots, yet each of her foot falls were surprisingly quiet. Not nearly as quiet as Evangeline's steps, but quiet nonetheless. While she had a relatively short span in the Aphithiri special forces, she picked up quite a bit about moving from place to place without gathering any attention. After waiting for a stalking for a short while the woman unleashed her awareness, letting it stretch out across the breadth of the compound like a great, indolent cat. A great many guards reached her awareness, but only a scant few were detected in a close proximity to her. Three, to be exact. The very three that Eva warned them of via hand signals.
Under normal circumstances, Rhissai simply would've rolled through the cannon fodder... but there were many doors for them to choose from. The wrong door could mean death, alerting the facility, or quite possibly both. While she could easily sense her way to the correct path, that would be far too time consuming. And merely relying on the Force would gain her no intelligence, and always ran the risk of failing. "Don't do anything yet," she thought to her two companions.
Without hesitating for an instant, the woman flung three tendrils of her mind to the men. It was nothing for her to break into his mind, but gain the information she was seeking... that was a far more complex task. One's mind was rarely a simple thing. Caverns of thought often twisted and turned about in confusing paths, rarely making themselves and their contents confusing. Unless one had the skill and the sight to see only what they wanted to see. A filter, so to speak. Though even with that ability, it took time to decipher the code that each brain held.
Eons passed, or what felt like eons, before she finally managed to ascertain the correct path. When that was complete, she focused her attention towards ushering the three men into a state of unconsciousness. Yet another timeless feeling washed over her. It was nigh impossible for her to tell if microseconds passed, or trillions of years. She found the center of each man's mind in succession, but worked to shut down their mind's simultaneously.
Within instants, they slumped to the ground... mirroring the man on the roof from before. This entire process took heartbeats, at the very most. Slowly, and with a pride of deadly determination, the woman walked out with her back straight and her chin held high. She could've walked through the nastiest neighborhood of nar shaddaa, and not a single thug or thief would've trifled with her solely because of her stance. Never mind the commanding, proud, and terrifying aura that rolled off of her in waves.
Knowing that there wasn't a soul past the correct door, she pulled a key card off of an unconscious guard and slid it across the keypad. All with a simple thought and telekinesis. "This is the correct path. They told me as much," she motioned her head towards the sleeping guards shortly before walking through the plane of the door, each step bringing her closer and closer to her quarry.

Ah, the joys of having to be quiet. Where the situation any different, Kvothe simply would have charged into the room, staff a deadly blur in his hands, and dealt with the three men that were within, unaware of the predators that lurked only a few feet away from them. But that might be noisy. Too noisy. And now wasn't the time for noise, when the team was trying to get as far into the compound as they could without alerting Korintha or his lackeys to their presence.
Of course, he had far more options open to him than just charging in and running the thugs through with the blades on his staff; he could--as already proven--get rather creative with his uses of telekinesis, and with his considerable skill and strength there, he was only really limited by his imagination in this particular situation.
Fortunately though, Rhissai had something in mind. Again she spoke into the minds of Kvothe and Eva, and again, Kvothe nearly soiled himself when it came without warning. He appreciated her intent and all that, but it didn't save her from a brief glare from his orange-streaked-gold eyes. Irritation gave way to resignation as he waited for her to do whatever it was she was doing. We need her help, he told himself. Telepath or n-
Three dull thuds caught his focus. Kvothe shifted to stick his head around the corner of the doorway and into the room beyond, and there, much like the man from outside, were the three men, sleeping peacefully after Rhissai turned off their proverbial lights. Kvothe felt sick as he looked at the woman; he made an oath then and there to never get on her bad side.
"Well that was easy," he muttered with a half-hearted grin as Rhissai opened the door that would lead them down the correct path.
And so he followed Rhissai through the threshold and into the corridor beyond, one of the many that made up the ant hive of a compound that the slug had built into the rocks. His posture straightened as they went deeper, as his reservations about Rhissai faded away once more. After a few feet of walking, Kvothe was the Sword of Diligence once again, strong and proud, carried forward by the absolute belief of the righteousness of his mission. Fas was still at his side, of course, walking with a stride that echoed the determination of his will and Kvothe's. The flickercat was ready for blood; Kvothe could tell that much through the bond. It wouldn't be too long before he found it.
Another door awaited them at the end of the hallway--a door that, much to Kvothe's surprise slid open on its own accord. That was fine with him. Rhissai could probably sense things better than he could, but his own probing through the Mythos didn't indicate that there were any men on the other side of the door, so the group would probably be fi-
Something came through the door; something that brought Kvothe and his thoughts to a halt.
It was a gorram droid.
Kvothe cursed in Rilan.
The droid stopped, and if it was capable of expressions, Kvothe imagined it might have looked as surprised as he no doubt did. Instead, it leveled its rifle at him, as if the other two had armor and he didn't, and spoke. "A signal has been sent to security, intruders. Identify yourselves immediately." The sound of a klaxon echoed through the halls as the droid spoke. Their little run of stealth had come to an abrupt end.
Kvothe's answer was forcefully grabbing the droid through the Mythos and slamming it into the wall, once, twice, trice, and letting it fall to the ground, broken and useless.
"Well, it was bound to happen eventually," he said, flexing the fingers of his free hand. "Looks like things are about to get a bit more interesting, yes?"

Eva wasn't totally surprised when Rhissai decided she was going to deal with the three. She seemed like she was ready for a battle, like she had been back at the compound entrance. No doubt a battle was what lay ahead of them, and she was a good a person as any to have on your side. The assassin felt a little uncomfortable at the intrusion into her mind, but she just shrugged it off. Jedi she could only mutter in her own mind. They worked in very mysterious ways, and Eva was glad that two were on her team.
Much like Kvothe, Eva heard three dull thumps from the other room and watched as Rhissai strode into the room. The assassin assumed the room was clear and followed after her armored companion. She was slightly surprised to find all of them out on the floor. Eva had watched a man pry a door apart with some mystical energy and another just take out three men without being anywhere near them. A quick twinge of fear ran through her and she wondered if Rhissai was capable of doing the same to her, the answer was probably yes.
She had no idea how Rhissai knew which way was right, in fact, she didn't want to know. Eva merely followed after the two, making sure to check their six, it wouldn't do to have anyone sneak up on them. Once again they were walking down another corridor, the place was like a maze. There were multiple corridors, who knows where they would have ended up if they took the wrong door. Eva shuddered at the thought, getting lost in this place wasn't her idea of a good time. She wanted to kill Korintha, and maybe some of his thugs on the way, and then get back pleasantly scented loft.
They had still maintained their secrecy right until the next door opened. A droid walked through, and before she knew it alarms were going off. It got a little bit louder when the droid was slammed into the wall multiple times. Eva hoped that never happened to her, it looked like it hurt a hell of a lot. Well the droid was lucky, they didn't feel but she was sure one of the thugs would be experiencing something similar before this night was over. Eva didn't have anymore time to ponder the thought as the sounds of hasty footsteps came from behind. Still facing the opposite direction of her comrades, she raised her pistols.
As soon as the figures appeared in the doorway, she depressed the trigger. There were a series of small puffs and followed by the thud of dead thugs hitting the floor. More footsteps followed by more silenced shots left even more dead bodies. She didn't like their current position, they would get boxed in and it was only a matter of time after that. She ejected her magazine and quickly slid another one in with a satisfying clack. The assassin killed one more before she turned to her comrades.
"Quite a warm reception, but don't you guys think we should get on to meeting our host?" she said in a loud voice. Her tone was calm but to be heard she needed to shout over the alarm.

Despite the fact that the brilliant lance of silvery plasma had long since vanished into its hilt her form still bore a resemblance of a righteous warrior. Her back was straight as a board, her stride powerful and confident, and her face wore a mask of stark stoicism. The only real marker to betray that terrifying countenance was her fiery emerald eyes. The pair of brilliant green eyes seemed to glow in the dark, or perhaps it was simply the intensity of their hue.
To the Jedi Master, the Force came to her as something of a song. Each person contributed their own note and tune to the beautiful symphony. Most of the time it was beautiful, anyways. The symphony that sung in her ears and her mind was nothing short of ugly. Plucks and downright sick notes plagued her ears and her mind, but none of them heralded the coming of the hitch in their plan.
A droid.
So when the door slid open, the woman was caught flat footed. The intensity in her eyes gave way to something akin to surprise and terror. Her finger was held instead of flicked forward, and as a result that silvery blade didn't spring from its hilt to cut the droid in half. Within moments alarms were blaring in her ear, the droid was in pieces, and that sickening symphony turned into one of fast paced action.
Eva killed the first few men to pass through the door with those suppressed pistols of hers. That halted the men's advance, or slowed it at the very least. The woman used this hesitation for her own advantage. In a flash of Force augmented speed, the woman sprinted up towards the door while flipping the switch to ignite White Fang and finally give him the flesh he so desperately craved.
The silvery hue of her saber gave the assailants pause to be sure, but it was too late for most. It sizzled through the air, melting off arms and legs and torsos in a skillful display of Juyo. Indeed, the woman that her companions met on Nar Shaddaa had vanished... only to be replaced by one who was willing to kill.
For awhile, at least, the woman managed to hold off the tide as they swept through. Until a second one came up on the fringes of her awareness, only this one was from behind. Once again, she spoke through her mind, "we need to find another route! Now!"
Should they find it hard to get out of the corridor, she pulled her shoto from its hiding place and gave it a gentle toss back to her companions. They could cut through the wall, or floor, if need be.

For Kvothe, the blaring alarms were both a blessing and a curse.
In a way, they were a blessing, because with the group's discovery, the need for stealth went out the proverbial window, which allowed him a great deal more freedom for fighting.
The reason they were a curse was obvious: now the trio was found out. The gig was up. The hive had been kicked. Now, any men who had been sleeping were certainly awake and they would be swarming in to find the intruders.
Well, it wasn't like these particular intruders were newcomers to the world of combat. Each of them had already been proven in the crucible, and each of them knew the dangers of coming into the enemies lair to do the type of work they were there to do. And if these thugs, these insects thought that three lone interlopers into their territory would be easy pickings? Well, they'd be in for a very rude surprise.
As the tide of men closing in on them began to rise, Eva split off, turning around to cover their backs with her two pistols. Kvothe didn't waste any time moving to the door ahead of them to hold of the men that would come from that direction. An order, sent from his mind to Fas through their bond had the flickercat hold his ground, back in the relative safety of the hall's middle. Fas was trained for combat, yes, but with no where for him to slink off to, he was extremelly vulnerable to blaster fire. The men's attention would be caught up enough as things stood on Kvothe, Eva, and Rhissai--Fas would probably be fine if he just stayed where he was.
The sound of a lightsaber igniting called out from the other end of the hallway, and Kvothe knew that Rhissai had entered the fray. There wasn't much time to think about it, though, as he soon found himself facing a small cluster of men.
A light blast of the Mythos threw them off balance, delaying their opening shots. One was unfortunate enough to be the target of Kvothe's staff, which got thrown like a javelin, single-bladed end first, impaling him through the throat. He went down with a rather messy spurt of blood
Orcus, Kvothe's sword, was free in one smooth motion as he continued to close in on them, and with a Force-propelled jump, he was on them. The darkened metal flashed dangerously in his hands, and the wickedly sharp blade cut through the thugs' unprotected flesh like butter. Off went one man's arm, followed by a thrust that sent Orcus in through one side of his stomach and out of his back. One of the man's comrades, a Gran, tried to come in at Kvothe with a knife while Orcus was still buried in the other man's stomach; Kvothe well aware of him, though, and a hard punch to the face from his guantleted right hand sent the Gran to the ground. The spikes on the knuckles of said gauntlet left some rather painful looking holes. It would probably be safe to assume that the Gran wouldn't be getting up from that.
And so ended the first little cluster of men that came through Kvothe's doorway, but as he pulled Pietas free from the man that got speared, he looked up to see that more were coming to replace them. Standing here and fighting them off wouldn't get them anywhere, and they still had to get to Korintha.
Rhissai seemed to realize as much, as she spoke (again) to their minds, conveying the very urgent need to find another way in. Thankfully for Kvothe's britches, there was a lot of adrenaline flowing through his veins, and so all Rhissai' little mind-talk got was an annoyed groan. Kvothe agreed with Rhissai, though.
The tink, tink, tink of something metallic bouncing on the floor caught Kvothe's attention, if only for a second. He looked back, and there, rolling across the floor was what he assumed to be one of Rhissai's lightsabers. Now, he wasn't the most knowledgeable person about the weapons, but he knew what they could do. They could burn through nearly anything, and Kvothe rather doubted the material that made up the walls of this corridor was one of the select few that could resist them.
Were the weapon closer, Kvothe would have grabbed it himself. However, it landed nearer to Eva than it did to him. She could do it. Kvothe looked back to the men coming toward him and called on the Mythos. Both of his hands went out before him, and the air began to solidify into a wall. With a yell, he shoved it forward, sending it, the bodies of the men that had already fallen and the wreckage of the damn droid that ruined everything rushing out into the room. It slammed into the oncoming group, breaking the bones of some and sending all flying back like toys kicked by an angry giant.
"Eva!" he yelled back as he continued, grabbing onto the open door with the Mythos, "take that lightsaber and cut through one of the walls! Get us out of here!" With his grip in the Mythos firmly locked on the doors, he turned his focus to pulling it. All pretenses of stealth was gone now, and the metal groaned loudly as it forced to do as Kvothe bade it. But move it did, and with it came protection from the attackers that lurked on the other side.

The sound of the magazine hitting the hallway floor could not be heard over the cries of their foes. Eva quickly replaced her empty magazine with a fresh one, twelve slugs designed for the single purpose of killing. Make no mistake, she was killing, and in copious amounts. She had left the forward position to Kvothe and Rhissai, considering that was where the bulk of their resistance would most likely be. The assassin covered the rear, making sure they weren't surrounded. Things had been going good, but it wouldn't last for long.
Eva's first group of enemies had been stupid enough to run straight at her, she put them down quickly. The following foes had been a little smarter and had decided to take cover. It seemed that Korintha's thugs weren't entirely stupid. They only needed one lucky shot to kill her, while she needed a plethora of lucky shots to somewhat reduce her opposition. The odds nor the terrain were in favor of her, and they needed to move soon.
She was about to yell something when she heard a clink next to her feet. Her first reaction was to dive away, for she had thought it was a detonator. On further observation, she realized it didn't look like any detonator she had ever seen. Eva's instincts were confirmed when Kvothe yelled something to her about a lightsaber. It looked too small to be a lightsaber but who was she to question such things. Eva squeezed off two more rounds before picking up the alien object.
"Make sure I don't get shot in the ass, Kvothe!" yelled the assassin to her companion
The assassin quickly found the switch and watched the blade ignited. It was quite a thing of beauty, but the current situation didn't really give her time to fully appreciate such things. She jabbed the blade, high into the wall. She drew it down, before moving it horizontally to the right. Close to a minute and a half later, she had formed a basic rectangular pattern. Extinguishing the lightsaber, she took a few steps back to the opposite wall. Then with a uncharacteristic roar she charged forward, barreling into the makeshift door.
Crashing to the ground with the piece of the wall, Eva quickly rolled to her feet, only to find herself face to face with a rather ugly Trandoshan. She quickly raised her pistol but her opponents was faster, batting it aside. A burst of pain suddenly filled her midsection as she stumbled backwards. Eva doubled over for a moment before regaining her composure. The assassin drew one of her many hidden blades and charged forward. She followed with a series of rapid strikes but could only land a few shallow hits. Suffice to say, they didn't have a great deal of effect on the Trandoshan.
Her opponent charged forward, swinging the blade with relative ease. Eva was being pushed back, it felt as if her wrist was being broken every time she blocked a strike. He closed in for the finishing strike, Eva had found her back to a wall. Seemingly on instinct she grabbed the lightsaber that she had tucked into her belt. Eva ignited the lightsaber and slashed forward with all her might. The Trandoshan brought his blade up to block but apparently it wasn't the best blade out there. The lightsaber sheared through the blade and continued through to the Trandoshan's face, splitting it in half diagonally.
Eva could only watch in amazement as part of her opponent's head flopped to the ground, followed by the massive thud of his body. I need to thank Rhissai if we get out of this place thought the assassin with a wry grin. She quickly recovered her pistol and one of her fallen blades and then turned to the opening she had created with the lightsaber.
"Lets get a move on, Kvothe!"

The Jedi master watched White Fang's gleaming silver blade dismember her enemies with a peculiar sadness pervading her otherwise stoic green eyes. The woman loathed killing of any sort, especially after the incident on Rhen Var where she brutally slaughtered a squad of Sith Jedi Hunters. Even going so far as to lick some of the blood off of her armored gauntlet. Though she was hardly in control of herself back then, that fact didn't quell the grief that grew deep within her heart.
As such, the woman did her best to ensure that each death was quick and as painless as possible. Her blade whirred and whizzed with each elegant yet deadly swipe, heralding the demise of yet another man. One man tried to put a bolt of plasma into her back, only to see her swing the saber around to intercept the bolt and cast a powerful wall of Force energy into him in one smooth motion. The bolt deflected into one of her comrades with a loud ping, and the shooter was picked up with the incorporeal wall, his head hitting the top of the door frame as he bowled over a great deal of his still living compatriots.
Snap-hiss!
Her blood ran cold and her eyes grew wide as she heard the terrifying cacophony of a lightsaber burning to life. Her assault was brought to a grinding halt as her mind was sent reeling. Those brilliant green emeralds set within her eyes flailed about within her skull wildly, trying to find the glowing source of the noise. None the adversaries she could see wielded a blade made of starlight... so who?
The woman spun on her heels, deflecting a bolt in the process, and was instantly relieved to see that it was her own shoto in the hands of Eva. That relief was followed by a quick "idiot" to reverberate within her mind. The assassin had already cut a square in the wall and gone through the breach. "Kvothe," she cried, "I'll cover you... get through that hole!"
Rhissai silently thanked her deceased master for insisting that she master Soresu as she fell back, the silvery blade of her lightsaber forming a barrier of searing white plasma that yielded to nothing. A small part of her knew that she wouldn't be able to keep up the barrier for long, though it would likely be all for naught. Enemies were streaming in from both sides, and it was likely (though she didn't check) that Kvothe couldn't let up the slaughter 'lest he find himself with a hole in the back.
A snarl of anger rose up from deep within her heart, and caused one side of her nose to twitch like a feral wolf. A twisted, if not grotesque image formed deep within her mind and projected outwards like a shock wave emanating from a nuclear explosion. Though this wave was intangible, even to those who are most sensitive to the Force, it was indeed there.
The metal beneath their feet and around their body groaned in protest, like an ancient beast that was slowly waking from eons of slumber. Its dull roar caused the simple thugs to take pause, and cease firing at the intruders for a brief moment. They looked around quizzically, some even held onto the wall as if the world would begin to churn beneath their feet.
This was not the case.
The bodies of their dead comrades began to convulse and smolder as if millions of volts of electricity was coursing through their cooling carrions. Even the severed limbs of the dead shook and rattled as if they were apart of their original body. Rhissai's emerald eyes burned with an ethereal intensity, one that looked as if it could've set any one of the men there ablaze by simply resting on their armored form.
Rhiss was no fool. She knew that it would be nigh impossible to make the entire bodies of the dead thugs rise in an illusion. She could add to reality, but she couldn't take it away. So, despite the fact that they'd risen... their dead bodies would still be there. Though that wasn't her plan... not entirely.
Wet and sickening cracks, snaps, and the sound of tearing flesh and clothing came from those convulsing bodies. Their dead hands began their own body, shredding armor, clothing, and flesh in a sickening display of grotesque self mutilation. Within moments, the skeletons of the now still bodies were free, and dripping with crimson blood. Each one of the gaping black holes where their eyes should've been held a bright crimson light, one that glared out at every living being with a contempt borne of jealousy.
"Kvothe. Out. Now," she backed away from the horde of terrified thugs slowly, lightsaber held up diagonally across her body. One of the men took a shot at the risen skeleton of his comrade, only to see that it molded around the shot. Rhissai had barely made it through the hole when her imagination ordered the skeletons to begin advancing on the thugs... causing them to flee for their lives. Once they were a moderate distance away, the undead simply vanished and the bodies of their comrades returned to what they'd been before.
Rhissai bought them time... but not much. She turned to her comrades as if nothing happened, "we need to find this hutt and kill him. Quickly." With that, she held her hand out to collect her shoto. Once she had it, she nodded once to Eva and hid it within her garb once more before setting off towards the throne room. Her stride once again held the posture of a jedi: stoic yet confident, yet it would still manage to inspire a sense of dread in the being her feet lead her towards.

The doors groaned loudly, screaming with the mournful cry of tortured metal as Kvothe made willed it to straighten and close. Stealth had been out the window for some time now, and he made absolutely no effort to hid his work. That meant the metal bent swiftly, but the creaking of it filled the hallway. He didn't care, though; all he knew was that he had to get it closed before the men on the other side recovered from his blast.
They slammed together loudly closing off the enemies on the other side and leaving the trio with only one avenue of attack to worry about. Kvothe stood there for a moment, hands still stretched before him as if doing such would ensure that the door remained closed. They fell to his sides then, and after he took a second to retrieve his staff from the corpse of the man that took it through the throat.
"Make sure I don't get shot in the ass Kvothe!"
Kvothe turned around to see Eva as she ignited the saber. It was a bit odd to see the thing in the hands of someone other than Rhissai, but desperate situations called for desperate measures...
"Go, Eva, I've got you covered!" He ran to take up the spot that the woman had occupied only a moment before, using his telekinetic prowess to cover Rhissai from afar as the Jedi continued to tear through the thugs that assaulted them. Or he would have, had Rhissai not suddenly ordered him to move through the hole Eva carved through the wall. He hesitated, and sent Fas through ahead of him. Then he turned to look back toward the Jedi woman, and what he saw stopped him in his tracks.
It was an illusion. That much was apparent, due to the way it looked sort of like a hologram; the image was reminiscent of something from some horror flick--the bodies of the dead rose tearing themselves apart until the floor was slick with thick red blood. It was disgusting. It was terrifying.
Yellow streaked through Kvothe's irises as the comprehension of what was going on hit him: this was Rhissai's doing. And even more, the men she was using it on weren't protected from it as he was. Not even Eva's protected, he thought with a gasp, suddenly hoping very much that the woman could not see the horrors that were unfolding.
He didn't need her second order to move to make himself leave that hallway. Kvothe's stride was brisk and purposeful as he ducked through the hole and into the next corridor, but his hands were shaking, if slightly. What else is that woman capable of?
Even then, Rhissai simply strode in, got her lightsaber and continued on, once again the perfect image of a Jedi. Kvothe just looked at Eva for a moment, dumbstruck, before he fell in behind Rhissai.
She was right in saying that they needed to kill Korintha, and soon. Now that the whole compound knew they were there, time was of the essence. But Kvothe didn't know where they were now. Nor did he know how to get to Korintha from... wherever they were.
"So, I think it might be good to try to avoid any more major confrontations until we get to Korintha," he said, trying to push what he'd just seen out of his mind. "If either of you know a quick way to him from here, it would be greatly appreciated, because I don't have a clue where we are."

The Trandoshan's dead husk was sprawled at her feet. She had yelled to Kvothe but he seemed to be lagging behind, a slacker no doubt. Her makeshift door and consequent appearance in the next room did not seem to go unnoticed. Only moments after she had yelled out to her companion, the hurried footsteps of angry guards was getting louder. Eva could only let out an exasperated sigh, Korintha wasn't going to make this easy. He must have been overcompensating for something considering how much security he had.
Another empty magazine clanged as it hit the floor, and Eva quickly replaced it with a fresh one. The first guard appeared and Eva raised her pistol and drew a bead. She depressed the trigger twice and two muffled puffs led to the death of the guard seconds later. More appeared through the door and Eva quickly dropped to her knees to avoid their fire. The assassin found her target and took him down. She rolled to the left to avoid more blaster fire and raised her pistol once more.
During this intense firefight, Eva had no idea of what was going on in the next room. She had been known to be cool headed but seeing the dead walking towards her would have thrown her off to the say the least. All she knew was that she heard the screaming of the guards and watched as some of them scrambled past their peers. Eva obviously couldn't say what had been going on for sure, but they seemed to be coming from where Rhissai had been. That woman tended to disconcert her somewhat, though she seemed to be a nice person....most of the time.
This sudden lack of resistance was soon followed by the appearance of Kvothe and Rhissai entered not moments later. Rhissai seemed her normal self while Kvothe looked rather nonplussed at her casual demeanor. Obviously something had happened while she had been fighting in the room she had entered in a rather unorthodox manner. Either way, it seemed they had dealt with their foes in one way or the other and had bought themselves a brief respite.
Kvothe's concern had also reflected Eva's current thoughts. They had been doing a great deal of guess work on where Korintha would be hiding. Well not entirely guesswork, Rhissai had managed to direct them down this corridor which was apparently the right way considering the amount of resistance they had encountered. The assassin looked at the two doors in front of them, unsure of which one to choose.
"You guys are the Jedi here, can't you just like...snap your fingers and figure this kind of stuff out?Didn't Rhissai find out where to go from those guards before?" inquired the young assassin.

"So, I think it might be good to try to avoid any more major confrontations until we get to Korintha. If either of you know a quick way to him from here, it would be greatly appreciated, because I don't have a clue where we are."
"Agreed, and... no, I've no clue where we are." The woman flicked her eyes between the two doors for a few moments, almost as if she was deciding where to go via "eeney miney mo". When Eva spoke, the woman turned and listened intently.
"You guys are the Jedi here, can't you just like...snap your fingers and figure this kind of stuff out?Didn't Rhissai find out where to go from those guards before?"
A small part of the woman wanted to giggle at Eva's comment, but that hardly seemed like the thing to do. Not thirty seconds before dead walked the halls at her whim, and imaginary or no... it was disturbing. That was one of her least favorite illusions, and she'd be using one of the more terrifying in Korintha's "throne" room. "It'd be nice, but no. The only reason I knew where to go in the first place was because I stole it from the guard's mind. I would do that now, but I can't take the memories of the dead... only the living.
"Well, lets just choose one, I suppose," the woman said with a small sigh. Standing about to debate which door they should pass through would only get them found and killed by Korintha's minions. Once again, her eyes flicked towards the door and made a quick educated guess. They were moving from the south to the north, so taking the one closest to the south didn't make much sense. Hopefully the door led to another corridor that would take them to the one they were on, then she would know where to go. If not, then surely there would be a guard who was willing to give them directions.
"Shall we take the one closest to north, then?" After waiting for a yay or nay, and only if it was a yay, she strode off through her chosen door.

Kvothe laughed warmly at Eva's statement, as touches of green and threads of silver played through the gold in his eyes. "Eva," he said, still chuckling, "I can be called many things, but a Jedi is not one of them." He couldn't blame her, though, he supposed. After all, he was a Mythos-sensitive in robes, that, though they had a few other colors, were mostly shades of brown and cream. It was understandable, even though he lacked a lightsaber. Though it's not the weapon that makes a Jedi, right? Kvothe shifted his multicolored eyes, stealing a glance at Rhissai. Surely not.
But more than that, there was the subtle jab at Rhissai and her crazy brain-bending powers. It amused Kvothe more than the thought that he was a Jedi did. Though he knew that Rhissai had the ability to look into the minds of others and retrieve information as if it was just sitting out on a shelf for her, Kvothe doubted that her ability was so great that she could 'snap her fingers and figure it out.' It would be lovely if she could, though.
But Rhissai went on to confirm as much, and stated that her abilities were limited to pulling information from the dead. Kvothe snorted softly. Well that's good. At least she has some limit to what she can do.
He looked around at Rhissai's suggestion, noting the choices they had. Two doors were available: one that led north, and another that led south. Obviously, the northernmost one would carry on in the way they'd been going. "Well, I think it would only make sense to keep going the way we've been going, right," he answered, grinning. "Couldn't hurt to find out, right?"
Fas had taken up a spot near one of the walls and was sitting down, looking at the trio as they made their decision. His tails bobbed around him, illuminating the area in shades of red and blue as the lights on the end of them faded from one color to the other. He wasn't in the mode of preparing to actively attack something, but he was alert; Kvothe could tell that much without the bond. You'll get your fighting soon enough, Fas. I'm sure of that.He called Fas to his side with three short clicks of his tongue, and the duo fell in behind Rhissai, with Eva no doubt behind them.
They came to the door. For once, it slid open of its own accord. Thankfully, there wasn't a droid waiting for them this time, but there was an Aqualish, standing guard with his back turned to them. Well, he was standing guard until the three of Fas tail's slammed into his lower back, punching through one side and out of the other, through his stomach. He hung there for a moment, making some sort of wet gurgling noise, and then Fas' tails withdrew, dumping him onto the ground.
"Very nice," Kvothe muttered to his companion. He stepped over the fallen corpse and into the corridor proper to get a look around. It wasn't very well lit, but he could see just fine, even without the enhancements to low-light vision that came with the use of Etherium over time. There wasn't much to see on this end of the hall, but the other end was another story.
Two huge doors squatted there, nearly taking up the entirety of the wall. They were closed tight, and if the number of guards before them was any indication, they were locked. But more than that, they probably held something very valuable. I wonder...
"Looks like we've found some more friends." Kvothe spun his staff around once, getting a feel for the wood moving through his fingers again. "I think they're guarding something big, if you catch my drift." He looked to Rhissai, and then to Eva, grinning as his gold eyes might theirs in turn. "Shall we go introduce ourselves?"

"Whatever, you get what I meant, all you people use unworldly powers" was Eva's reply which was a mix between a grumble and a pout.
Part of her hadn't expected Rhissai to be able to do anything, but then again, part of her had. She obviously knew they had the ability to do incredible things, but it was somewhat reassuring to know they also had limits. That being said, they still didn't know where to go, and that could be a problem. Surely standing around would just get them killed, and that was desirable, well atleast not yet.
Eva has essentially come to the same conclusion her comrades had moments before. It didn't really make sense to go back in the general direction they had come from so they might as well go forward. That dirty Hutt had to be in there somewhere, the deeper they went, the chances they would find him would probably get higher. The assassin checked her pistol once more, before proceeding after her comrades.
They proceed through the door to find themselves facing another guard. The assassin had assumed Kvothe would deal with him but his...pet, took the initiative instead. A rather brutal initiative. Whatever gets the job done she thought to herself with a shrug. She turned into the corridor, pistol raised, swiveling to cover her companions venerable side. The corridor was rather dark but her eyes were accustomed to such conditions and soon adapted. She turned her head towards the other end of the corridor and a large grin grew on her face.
"Guess there was no need for mind reading afterall"
Large, heavily guarded doors were pretty indicative in any world. It seems like what they had been looking for was almost within their reach. By almost she was referring to distance, there were more than a handful guards protecting the door. Well getting righteous wasn't exactly an easy task. Eva raised her pistol, aimed down the sight, and depressed the trigger. A single guard dropped to the floor as a slug tore through whatever little brain he had. The assassin turned to find her next target...there was more than enough to go around.
