Description/role:
The Masada is the ship that Kvothe Algaterra was given by the Stellar Mythics on Aiaru to take on his travels of the galaxy. It's a transport ship, and as such, is fairly lightly armed. For all intents and purposes, the Masada is Kvothe's home while he's away from Aiaru. It also functions as his primary method of travel when scooting around on Aiaru.
The ship was, as one can imagine, built for extended trips, much like the one can Kvothe has departed on; that's the reason he chose it. The ship has two levels (three if you count the bridge, which is perched up above the center of the ship) though almost everything of importance is on the main level, which is the larger of the two. It has a number of amenities that one would expect for such a vessel. It has room for 5, Kvothe included, and each passenger has their own room (though, as one might imagine, they aren't the largest things in the world), which are situated in two groups on either side of the ship, with three on the port side, and two starboard. At the front of the ship on the starbord side in the space left by the absence of another room for a passenger is a small medbay. It isn't the sort of thing one might expect to see on say, a military cruiser, but it suffices, and has supplies for emergency medical care, to last long enough to get to a hospital. There's a fairly large main gathering room toward the center of the ship, beneath the bridge. Within lies a holoprojector that's built into the floor in the middle. In addition to serving as a briefing area of sorts, it also functions quite well as a gathering area, with plenty of room to be comfortable. A training room is positioned near the front of the ship. Said room is fairly large, as one might expect, and has breakaway panels on the wall where a few practice weapons are stored. Gotta stay in good form, even while traveling, no? Most of the other level, which is below the main on, is used for storage, though there is a small meditation room down below for Kvothe.
