"Another day another dollar"

Thadeus thought this to himself as he slowly walked down the streets of Bothawui. He had just arrived a few hours earlier from Coruscant, his need to run already taken out that morning. He though about the adventure he had, laughing to himself for a moment before getting his mind back on track. Today he would be doing business with a high ranking Navy admiral, they were to discuss the plans for some military droids they wanted built. In all honesty, he hated dealing with the stuffy military types, no fun in any of there bones from his experience. To bad it was there big contracts that brought home the bacon, no one ordered in the kind of bulk that they military did, which military it was however didn't mean jack to Thadeus.

Looking around at the scenery of Bothawui, he would barely take in the beauty. This was so he wouldn't want to go wandering around, obviously he would be spending the day in a dull ship, discussing what some guy wanted to use against some other guys machine. As much as Thadeus didn't care about what his creations were used for, he would hope that the military had other thoughts then

"I want big thingy that go bang bang."

That was his general conception of all the military type guys. All they cared about was having a bigger gun then the next guy and they needed people with actual intellect like Thadeus to make that happen. Then again that was why he was obscenely rich and they were owned by the government and still not paid a fraction of his salary. He would chuckle at the thought of how little they made compared to him, his superiority complex was definitely on full drive today and it would take every ounce of him to not condescend to the admiral he was meeting today.

Due to his old frame and refusal to use a repulsor lift, as well as the whole him needing a cane thing. It would take quite some time to make it to the man's ship. Luckily for him he had left quite early and it wasn't until right before arriving at the docks did he receive the transmission that it was time for his meeting. Looking to his left he would see a large ship, an Interdictor-class cruiser. Marked with a republic navy symbol it was obvious this was the war monger he was going to meet today. Approaching the freshly docked ship he flashed his identification to the soldiers outside it's hull and they escorted him in. It would take a few minutes of walking around the different hallways before he would reach the bridge where he was to meet Admiral Davis.

Davis turned to the hologram again, now it representing a security holocam recording showing a elderly man walking through the corridors to the bridge. He grinned, his razor-sharp white teeth gleaming from the light in the bridge. He stood and walked to the bridge viewport, putting his arms behind his back as he waited for the man to arrive.

After several minutes, he heard the bridge turbolift slide open and several pairs of feet started to walk. He glanced over his shoulder, seeing the old man who he assumed was Mr. Saxon and a soldier escorting him. The soldier saluted and said sharply. "Heres Mr. Saxon sir!" He turned about sharply and walked back to the turbolift, disappearing from sight. Davis turned around to stare straight at Saxon, looking over him a moment before grinning and giving a casual salute. "Hello Mr. Saxon and may I welcome you to the Freedom's Avenger. Im Commander Davis Cari'Tan, captain of this ship and in command of the three other Republic war vessels that just arrived in system. I have recieved orders to cooridinate on the Republic's behalf to build a new droid, possibly even a new series of war droids...." He nodded to a officer who stood about 5 feet away, waiting. The officer nodded and turned, heading over to the other side of the bridge where a small but sturdy table and two chairs waited. He and a couple bridge crew carried them over to the empty space Davis and Saxon stood at, setting them down. Davis motioned for Saxon to sit at the nearest chair, while he sat down at his own chair. "Now let us begin."

Upon arriving at the ships deck it would become immediately clear who he was to meet. Standing in the middle of the ship was a dog like looking guy in a high ranking military uniform. Thadeus hadn't dealt with very many Shistavanens as they generally weren't in the highest positions in the galaxy. The extent of his business had generally been with fringe groups trying to get there hands on some shiny guns. It was a welcome surprise to see such a feral looking species in a position of power.

"Hello Mr. Saxon and may I welcome you to the Freedom's Avenger. I'm Commander Davis Cari'Tan, captain of this ship and in command of the three other Republic war vessels that just arrived in system. I have received orders to coordinate on the Republic's behalf to build a new droid, possibly even a new series of war droids...."

As he said this another soldier revealed a table and some chairs for them to sit at. Strolling over and then taking a seat on the chair, he would look at the admiral or commander or sergeant or whatever the meat headed war monger was and just cut right to the chase.

"So what are you in the line for more specifically, we can do just about anything you can imagine and through past dealings with me I know you pay promptly so we should have no problem getting these mass produced and on the field. I wasn't sure if it was necessary or not as you've seen my work but if needed I can get one of my more creative droids down here for a demonstration if you like"

Davis smiled widely, his razor sharp, gleaming white teeth giving him a fierce look. He reached down to his belt, pulling out a hand-held hologram projector and setting it down on the table. "We were hoping for a new frontline assault droid.... Heavy armor, large array of weapons.... And most important of all, a drop pod system for it. We want a droid that can be dropped from space, whether by drop pods, jet jumper equipment, or heat and kinetic shields for landing, so they can be used as the assault force. They would be used to land, hold a large deployment area till shuttles may come down and drop off the ground troopers." Davis sat back in his chair, staring at Saxon with unblinking eyes, his green and blue stare slightly unnerving. His taloned hands tapped the table a couple times, the ebon claws clicking loudly. "Is this easily do-able? And within a reasonable price? Or will it be hugely expensive....? If you do it right, concerning price, affectiveness, and quality, I will possibly ask for some more designs similar to it, meaning more deals for you..."

He turned as a officer nearby walked up to him and whispered into his ear. "Sir, we have scanned a Dynamic-class freighter coming from the surface. It has some items on it not on the manifest so we have tractor beamed it aboard... We have a squad ready and waiting to charge in and take the captain prisoner if you give the order." Davis blinked, silently thinking. He nodded then replied. "Have the captain join me after I see Mr. Saxon, as I will have a discussion with him personally. If he doesn't come willingly, charge in and capture him by force. Once you have him, search the ship thoroughly." The officer nodded then turned and walked away, following orders quickly. Davis returned his attention back to Mr. Saxon.

Of all the times to get caught by the Republic, they had to get me when I have a time limit! Daleb thought to himself. He hurriedly continued making sure the smuggling holds were secure, and then ran back to the cockpit. He made sure that his logs were all locked just as he heard a banging noise coming from the exit ramp. He ran over to the security console and saw Republic troops banging on the door. He sighed and unclipped his lightsaber from his belt, then hid it inside a pocket. He headed over to the ramp, and pressed the 'Open' button. The landing ramp lowered, and he found himself staring down the barrels of several blasters. The squad leader made a gesture, and two of the soldiers started edging towards Daleb. "You don't need to search me." As he said this, he put some considerable backing into it with the Force. The squad's leader looked puzzled for a second, then nodded. "We don't need to search him. Cuff 'im and lets--" "Cuffs are not necessary." Again, he put the Force behind these words, and the man nodded again. "Cuffs aren't necessary. Follow us. Commander Cari'Tan wishes to speak with you." Daleb complied, and the group escorted him to the nearest turbolift.

Flashing his teeth as if to intimidate the old man, such primal threats wouldn't dissuade Thadeus. He had seen much more intimidating creatures in much more intimidating circumstances. Given he wasn't in his body at the time, that doesn't detract from it happening before his eyes. Following the little growly moment the wolf creature had, he would set a holographic image device on the table and speak as it revealed what they wanted.

When you came by the kind of money that Mr. Saxon did, everything was a reasonable price. Too bad everyone wasn't as ridiculously rich he was, what a shame indeed. Adding up what the guy wanted in his head real quick he would fold his arms on the table and interlace his archaic fingers, looking back at the man right in his eyes.

"Well commander, let me put it this way, something of that level isn't going to be cheap. In fact it's going to be rather expensive, especially if it's coming out how it appears it is in my head. I wouldn't say anything less five million credits per unit created. This price will not be negotiated as I do have a busy day ahead of me. Keep in mind however when your pondering the price, how effective the droids your military has bought off me for the past twenty years has been."

Once he finished speaking however a soldier would whisper in the captains ear at which the wolf man would become temporarily distracted. Mere moments later however the man would leave, following some orders the captain had obviously given him. What they were though Thadeus wasn't sure, although his curiosity had been peaked.

Davis nodded, his grin turning to a small frown at the named price. He reached up and rubbed at his chin, thinking to himself. He then nodded. "Aye. You do provide us top notch military equipment. Fine, that price is acceptable on the standards of the Republic. We won't order a full shipment untill we have a prototype and evaluate it to see if it's worth it. Get a prototype or two built and present it to us, then we'll talk about a official deal, payment, and how many units we want. I want that prototype done in ten days or less. After that, Im leaving the system, with or without the droid. If finished, I will wait a little longer so I may take the first shipment with me. If you aren't, I will leave the system and find another company to provide us a droid series."

He eyed Saxon a moment. "Now I recommend sir, that you start immediately. I am sure you will finish before the deadline is up, but time is of the essence for me, as I must have those droids within the month, tested and ready for action." He stood up from his chair and turned to the viewport, his hands behind his back as he walked towards it. "One thing Mr. Saxon... I expect this series to be kept quiet. I don't wish the Sith to find out of this project just yet, and also, the Republic would appreciate it if you didn't sell it to them. I doubt you will listen, but I had to warn you. You may leave now if you wish. Your shuttle is on Level 3, Hanger 2B. If you get lost, ask a soldier to direct you." He then fell silent, staring into the blackness of space.

A few seconds later, the turbolift opened and the sound of several pairs of feet walking could be heard. Davis turned to see the squad and the captain of the captured freighter walking towards him. He waited till the squad was before him, then saluted sharply. "Thank you sergeant. Please wait at the turbolift. I will alert you when I am done...." The sergeant nodded, saluting in turn then he and his squad walked back to the turbolift, standing at attention while they waited. Davis looked over the human captain for a moment, evaluating him before saying. "Hello there captain. I have been alerted you are carrying illegal items aboard your freighter.... I am under orders to stop smuggling wherever I go.... What have you to say to this...?"

Daleb stared at the ground for a few moments, wondering why a high-ranking officer would summon a simple smuggler to the bridge. He looked up at the canine-like creature. "Well, there's no point in lying to a republic officer who is as smart as you obviously are, so I've just have one thing to say. I'd like to be escorted right back to my ship and let free, 'cause I've got a time limit for this run. If I don't get this stuff to the delivery point soon, I'm gonna have every bounty hunter in the system looking for me. I'll come back and submit to whatever punishment you have planned, but It'd be kinda hard for me to learn my lesson if I'm dead, right?" He mentally crossed his fingers and hoped the commander would let him go, though he doubted it.

Davis eyed him a moment before saying. "Possibly, just if you have something as collateral or possibly bail as your crime would require you to pay a fine of approximately 5000 credits.... If you have something we want worth that, or information, then I may let you go. Otherwise, you'll have to serve time or let my men pilot your ship to wherever your going, which I doubt you want...." He crossed his arms, staring at Daleb closely as he waited for a answer.

This guy really had balls, he was talking to Thadeus like no one had talked to him before. Now one thing you should know about Mr. Saxon, he doesn't like being talked to in that way, especially when he knows something is up. Shaking the commanders hand then turning to walk away, his eye's would catch a squad of soldiers bringing in some form of criminal. That had to have been what the soldier was whispering in the wolf mans ear. As he walked the brilliant Mr. Thadeus would think about why a civilian looking man would be brought by armed guards to a commander. Either he was a smuggler, a drug dealer, a slaver or a killer of some sort to incur that. Every one of these could end up being beneficial to Mr. Saxon and he loved to seize opportunity when it arised.

Once he had left the building he would return to his own vessel, where he had brought a number of his newest droids in case the commander needed a demonstration. Yet unreleased to the public and military alike all four droids were completely cutting edge. Sophisticated targeting systems, ground breaking weapon technology and next generation computer processing. All manufactured by his company for military or mercenary use. Thadeus on the other hand, had different ideas for the use of these droids. Picking up a paint can in front of him, he would spray off the Genesis logo and begin to give the droids commands.

"Down this shipyard is a military vessel with armed guards in front of it, your objective is to enter this vessel and retrieve a humanoid, possibly human with a civilian appearance. His hair color is brown, his eyes are blue and he will most likely be surrounded by soldiers. This is your primary objective, do whatever it takes to make sure that this man gets back here."

All at once the thrusters activated on the droids, except for the fifth one who could nearly keep up with them do to his quadrupedal legs and canine shaped body. This wouldn't be the end of it however Thadeus wanted to take part in the action as well. Closing his eyes for a moment, when he would open them they would be glowing an icy blue tint. He had activated his Rapture circuit and was now seeing through the eyes of his Shining droid, as it along with Noble, Dragon Warrior, Specter and Hunter were speeding down the street to the ship.

It would only take moments for the four war droids to arrive at the ship. At seven feet tall they each towered above the guards, except for poor hunter, he would barely be noticed. With a quick motion Specter would jam his claws into the guards body, releasing a quick acting neuro-poison that would leave him paralyzed. Taking up the mans security clearance, Shining would enter the ship with the four droids behind him. Things couldn't be better for Thadeus upon gaining access to the ship. Even if they were detected as intruders, they had more then enough man power to take out an incredible amount of soldiers.

It wouldn't take long for Thadeus to navigate the droids down the different hallways he had to walk down before. He wasn't to surprised that no one was stopping them, mostly because no one would suspect a droid of having the CPU power to infiltrate a ship and steal a security clearance. Finally reaching the ship hull before, Shining, controlled by Thadeus, would open the door and enter as would the other droids. The man they were seeking was before them, standing in front of the wolf man commander. There were four other soldiers in the room aside from the wolf man and they were lightly armed. Most likely due to this not being a high security vessel on a republic planet for a business meeting.

Shining would speak about entering the room

"I'm sorry Commander Davis, we have orders from the brass that this smuggler is highly wanted on three other planets for smuggling military grade weapons. We have orders to bring him into custody and dock him aboard our ship immediately."

Thadeus wasn't sure if the man would be able to detect the lie or not. Since it was a robot there really was no way to tell if he was lying aside from the information. Just in case however, each droid would enter it's combat optics. They had one droid per guard and one droid to handle the commander if anything came up. Awaiting the commanders reply however would feel like an eternity.

ooc: that was slightly confusing, as Davis and Daleb are both on the Interdictor cruiser's bridge.... in space lol....... not sure if theres big time confusion or what. *shrugs*

Davis turned his attention to the droid's, seeing them as heavily armed and dangerous. His hand twitched to his heavy blaster, unsure which action to take. He then slowly nodded to the droids. "Fine.... Though if I don't get a report on this soon, there'll be hell to pay for whoever initiated this operation." He turned to look at Daleb a moment then nodded to the soldiers, who stood down. "Take him..." The soldiers backed off, all of them staring at the droid's carefully. Davis turned around and looked out the viewport. He thought to himself a moment, thinking. "If this is Saxon's doing, he'll have hell to pay....."

He waited till the droid's had escorted Daleb out of the bridge and the doors had slid shut behind him, then Davis turned about quickly and pointed at his security officer. "Track their movements, I want to know where they're going. Have several pairs of soldiers patroling the ship for any other security breaches. I want the ship on high alert untill we leave the system. And send a message to Mr. Saxon, urging him to hurry with the droid prototypes.... And send one more message to Fleet Command that we have a possible droid series that will be useful." As the bridge jumped to work on the new orders, Davis turned back to the viewport, silently thinking to himself as he waited for results.

ooc: now I'm confused, as I thought the droids hadnt even went in the room.... oi. anyhoo...... I guess I'll wait for Daleb to be taken to Saxon for him to say anything.....

OOC: xD I didn't see anything about the ship taking off xDDDD sorry if my post through you guys off. Also bobert I give you permission to control the droids taking you back because if I post it'll just be my guys walking and bringing you to me, so you can post about them arriving, your feelings about them taking you, being lead to a non military cruiser and then arriving in front of Mr. Saxon

bic: Daleb glanced uneasily at the droids as they escorted him. If they decided to search him, he wouldn't be able to use the Force to persuade them not to. Fortunately, they didn't. They most likely hadn't been programmed to. ((I'm still a bit confused on where exactly Mr.Saxon is, so I'll just say after a boring trip there, hes, uh.... there. lol.))

Daleb was escorted into a room in which the same being who had been with the Republic Commander earlier was in. ((I realize that statement might sound a bit confusing....lol)) He glanced around then room, then turned back towards him. "Judging by this place, I'm guessing your not exactly taking me in for the reasons the droids told Cari'tan. Name's Salut. And you are...?

The commander would hesitate for a moment and it looked as though he was about to go for his blaster. Luckily for the crew on that ship however he decided to speak instead of blast.

"Fine.... Though if I don't get a report on this soon, there'll be hell to pay for whoever initiated this operation."

Then turning he would look at the guards and signal for them to stand down which they did immediately. There was going to be no battle now for sure.

"Take him..."

Upon saying this the commander would turn and look out the view port as the droids exited the building. Everything went exactly as Thadeus had planned it and he would continue to control shining until the five droids and the guy had reached the ship. Before escorting him in Shining would turn and command the other droids to stand guard and enter security mode. Immediatly Noble would grip his sword with his right hand under his large body shield. Dragon Warrior would pull it's arms back, preparing to extend them at any moment. Specter would use a combination of his incredible leaping strength and his boosters to reach a nearby roof top where he would mount his sniper. Finally hunter would crouch down prepared to pounce if someone attempted a forced entry.

Once shining brought the man in, Thadeus would de-activate the Rapture circuit and his eyes would go from the icy blue back to the bone white color. Before he got a chance to say something the man before him would speak.

"Judging by this place, I'm guessing your not exactly taking me in for the reasons the droids told Cari'tan. Name's Salut. And you are...?"

"Your quite perceptive aren't you, well Salut, I'm Damien Rapture, president of the Genesis corporation. Now I'm sure your wondering why your here, well aside from my corporations domination of the droid, cybernetics and medical market, we also deal in things of a shadier sort. Me being the keen man I am, have always had an eye for picking up talent, talent in these darker things. This is where I think you can help facilitate me. You see when I saw the commander bringing you in with armed guards I came to several conclusions. Either your a smuggler, a slaver, a drug dealer or a killer of one sort or another. Each one of them is highly valuable to me, my question to you is what is it?"

He hoped the man in front of him was willing to talk openly about his profession and he hoped even more that the man belonged to one of the professions he guessed. This mostly lie in the fact of what Thadeus had just told him and if the man happened to just be an ordinary guy or if he had real tight lips, then he would be a security risk and Thadeus knew exactly how to deal with security risks.

Daleb turned his head slightly but kept his eyes on Rapture. If that is his real name.... he let the thought trail off. He could tell he was lying about something, but he just couldn't figure out what part it was. "Yeah, I'm a smuggler. Speaking of which, the Discovery, my freighter, is still on that Republic ship. And it has a shipment on it. And I have a time limit on getting it to the delivery point. And that Hutt worm is gonna have every bounty hunter in the system looking for me if I don't get it there in time. And you've brought me here, meaning I can't get to the delivery point, meaning the bounty hunters most likely watching me will be coming in here to get me, unless, that is, you plan on collecting the bounty for yourself, in which case, I will be forced to defend myself." He paused for a moment, then continued, "Which, judging by your droids, would not end well for either of us. But, I'm assuming you aren't planning to do that, or you wouldnt've mentioned the 'talent' thing. Right? So I'm assuming you have work for me?"
