This is just a quick self-help for the English as a second language speakers the forum is beginning to draw. It is just a quick list of things that can be helpful.
Hopefully this will help give you a hand with grammar and what-not when no one is on to help, and I whole-heartedly suggest that if anyone has concerns about their RP'ing that they check out getting an RP-mentor!
1. In imperative sentences such as:
Run downstairs and phone the police!
the subject is ALWAYS an implied You and does not need to be stated.
2. The verb (often called the action word) of a sentence either expresses an action or states a fact:
The Senator was happy (states a fact)
The Jedi struck swiftly (expresses an action)
3. Here is a list of known, commonly used contractions:
don't= do not
doesn't= does not
didn't= did not
hasn't= has not
haven't= have not
hadn't= had not
isn't= is not
aren't= are not
wasn't= was not
weren't= were not
mustn't= must not
mightn't= might not
