500 credits!(Taku)

I had been a while since Taku had been in Nar Shaddaa, he always liked the planet. Filled with filth, people with no future clawing each other for the oportunity that would never came. Taku never felt alone when ever he was in the corruped moon, it was the right place for one such as him. Someone with no hope for a future.

The only reason why Takumi wasnt drinking himself was to death was very simple, he had no credits to expend and it was so that the former Jedi walked the busy streets. The bear of a man walked among the masses, only standing put due to his height and the rather large sword that rested in the Takumi's back, he didnt stand out due to his looks, the long messy mane that rested in his chest, the dirty and worn out robes he wore. He looked very much like one of the many refugee's walking around the dirty moon.

This night was one the rare times, the dark jedi actually moved around so much. Normally he would just drink till he lost conciuss or was out refining his skill with the lightsaber, but to night was one of the rare moments he was looking for work, he needed money so he could drink. He was in one of the "red streets" of Nar Shaddaa, meaby he could find work here.

Taku walked around and only stopped when he saw a very pretty and handsome kid staring at a prostitute, I've seen better he thought while looking at the escene. Soon one of thugs began forcing the kid to pay up. "I see the ever stupid thugs make irrational demmads" he laughted as the red haired man was blackmailing the frigthen kid... Now here is an idea, I'll save the kid and ask for a reward... naa it's to much of a pain he thought and was about to turn around, when one of the thugs. A man with a black beared and many tattoos approached Takumi "Oooi you hiiis friend ain ya? you better pay up if ye want him unharm" he said while giving Taku a slight push...

Taku in one swift motion drew the sword he claimed over a Trandoshan durin his time as a gladiator, and cleaved the bearded men almost in half. "Get him!" shouted one of the four other thugs. people ran as they saw the blood, and three more thugs came from the shadows. All carrying vibroswords. In one circular motion Taku killed two of them, dodge a strike gracefully and stabbed one the men behind him, he withdrew the sword from the dead men chest and killed two other thugs in one swift yet heavy blow."Die!" said a thug with red hair as he drew a blaster pistol and shot the fallen Jedi.

Taku simply dropped the heavy sword and drew one of three lightsabers that hid beneath his dirty robes, he grabbed the lightsaber he made in his time as a Jedi, and the hiss of the reddish organge took the stage. Taku deflected the laser to another man, and the next whissle past the pretty boy and the the next was returned to the man with red hair. The last of the Thugs watched in horror as Taku drew closer and in panic charged at him, holding only a piece of old pipe. Amused the Dark Jedi turned off the lightsaber and charged at the man screaming, Taku was running using a style of martial arts called charning wampa, he swiftly was face to face with the thug and with his powerful arms punched the man unconciouss, in only one hit.

The brawl had lasted no more than a few seconds, and Taku looked at the carnage before him, a little pleased yet disappointed... he wanted more, needed something to fill the void in his heart. "Weell that was interesting!" he shouted to himself to avoid becoming depress "wouldn't ya agree boy?! he said with his overly friendly and booming voice while he smiled at the young man before him, it was a paradox of a smile, all the rage, all the killing intent had vanish in the instant the last man fell.

When Reven heard a voice from behind, he tried his best turn his head as far as he could to see who it was and only caught a glimpse. From that glimpse, Reven assumed that he was probably one of the many refugee on the planet, however Reven felt that there was something different about him that set him apart from the other refugee. The thug that held him by his collar, dropped him as he and the other thugs charged at him and when Reven turned to see the man, he noticed that he was wielding a huge sword and there was a dead body that was nearly cut in two.

As the man easily killed each thug, Reven couldn't help but noticed how much skill and grace the man had. When the red haired thug pulled out his blaster, the man dropped his sword and took out a lightsaber as he deflected them towards several of the other thugs including the one with red hair. All that was left was a thug with a broken pipe who started charging at him. The man would deactivate his lightsaber and knocked out the man with a single punch.

When the man spoke to Reven, he noticed that all of the killing intent and rage that was behind him before disappeared instantly as he spoke making him seem like a gentle giant."That was amazing! The way you took down all of those guys made it seem like they were nothing compared to you. By the way, where did you get that lightsaber from?" asked Reven looking very fascinated from what he just saw. Though he would never guess that the man was actually a former Jedi with the way he looked and all.

Taku took a deep breath to steady himself and the killing urges he often got. He clipped his lightsaber once more, on briefly showing that he held two other lightsaber in his belt. Taku walked over to his sword as the boy was thanking him.
"We should get out of here before more thugs come our way" he said, no in fear of a fight but in the desire of having a drink, he would have the boy pay for him.

he dragged the boy through the streets, eventually finding a little bar. He entered the bar with the boy, it was relatibly empty and quiet, just the way he liked it. They sat on a table and weaved at the twi lek wench "Gimme a glass of Juma! and one of those light glowing drinks for the kid!" she nodded and went to look for the drink.

Taku smiled at the boy and finally awnsered the question the boy had asked ealier "Why I builded it myself... It's been with me since the day I became padawn. padawan... that word stinged a little bit in Taku heart "All the way through my knighood, even as I left the Jedi

At this point Taku sensed that the boy was sensitive to the force, and at the very least had far more raw power than Taku, who was below the average Jedi in terms of force powers. "This days, I just wander around the galaxy... Living the life!" he gave a big smile as the drinks arrived at the table. "your paying...?" he tilted his head waiting for the pretty child to give him his name.

Taku would then drag Reven through the streets after telling him that they should get out before more thugs showed up. Eventually, Taku found a bar and dragged Reven with him to a table. When Reven sat down, Taku ordered Juma and a light glowing drink for Reven. Taku would then answer the question Reven asked earlier and the mere fact that the man who rescued him was actually a former Jedi Knight fascinated him and surprised him since he looked more like a refugee than a former Jedi.

Reven would then sigh once Taku asked for his name and if he was paying. Since Reven didn't have enough time to take back the 50 credits he gave to the thug, he only had ten credits left. "My name is Reven Starlight and if I could, I would be buying if it wasn't for the fact that I have ten credits left which might not be enough to pay for our drinks. Though if you want me to, I can see if I can work off our drinks instead" offered Reven who was unaware of the fact that Taku was a heavy drinker and that he might actually end up working here for a long time if he drinks too much.

"Im Takumi Ventar. Call me Taku if you like he gave friendly look at the boy. Takumi was taking a drink when Reven told he hadnt had money to pay for the drinks, Taku's jaw thighten and his fist closed...

ten credits "Pheww, we are saved Reven.. If there is one thing I know, is the prices of drinks! he laughed "This round will cost us seven credits... will be fine" he smiled at the boy once more, but in his mind he was becoming annoyed, he wanted to drink a little more, but it seems he still needed to work. He drank the last of the Juma juice and leaned on the table while looking at the little crowd the bar had. "Soo Reven what brings you to this strech of the galaxy? he said without looking at the young force sensitive.

"Nice to meet you Taku" said Reven after Taku told him his name. When Taku heard that Reven might not have enough money, Reven couldn't help but notice Taku's fists closing which gave Reven the impression that he was going to hit him. After seeing what he did to a group of thugs, Reven instinctively backed away fearing what Taku might do. When Taku started laughing about how he knew that Reven had enough money since he knew the price of drinks, Reven sighed in relief.

"Well I have been a slave for most of my life and I've always wanted to travel the universe after hearing the tales the spacers told at the cantina I used to work at as a slave. When I was set free, I figured that I now had the opportunity to go to all of the places the spacers talked about and I've been doing that for two years. By the way... what would have happened if I didn't have enough money?" asked Reven just encase he was with with Taku at a bar in the future again and didn't have enough money. As he waited for an answer, he took a sip from his drink.

Taku listen to the boy as he finished the drink aahh that was good Taku laid back in the chair and kept on listening at the boy's story. A slave uh? It was because of a slave that I left the Jedi behind.... Taku was sadden as he remember the slave girl he freed and promised he would train her in the force.

Pushing away those old hurtful memories away taku laughed at the question "Well Reven... you have to ways to escape from a cantina. First you wait until the bar gets busy and sneak out with a group of people. Or you wait until a brawl begins and walk out free! he laughed loudly, most of the times he was the reason a brawl started. Taku crossed is arms suddenly becoming serious, he was known to have sudden mood swings, he got a brilliant idea. "I've got a proposition for you Reven. We both are broke, right now. and Travelling alone is getting more expensive... So im thinking, you look like someone I can trust, what do you say if we join forces, earn enough money to move from place to place, you buy me a drink from time to time and I'll teach you a little about the force he gave a grim at Reven "The force is strong in you, with proper training you could beat even me"

Taku wasnt sure of what he was doing, he had made it clear that he wouldn't train another force sensitive, but for some reason felt compelled to train the young Reven.

Well.... that's awkward thought Reven after Taku told him that he left the Jedi Order because of a slave. He would have asked why, but Reven sensed that he he was saddened by the very fact. "Wow, I would never even think about doing something like that" said Reven after Taku told him that he would have found a way to escape from the cantina. The only reason why he'd never think doing something like that was because he doesn't steal, especially in a place where you could get a bounty on your head for upsetting the wrong people.

"I honestly don't think I'll ever be able to pull off what you did to those thugs, but I've always wanted to learn the ways of the force like a Jedi as long as I could remember. So Taku, you have you're self a deal" said Reven as he extended his hand towards Taku to make the deal more offical with a hint of excitement in his eyes now that he was taking his first step into his childhood dream.

what tha hell am I thinking was all Takumi could think as he shook Reven's hand. The fallen Jedi still held a serious face "I wont teach you to be a Jedi... I will teach you how to use the force, but not how to be a Jedi... they are lacking in certain areas, that fail to live up to the way life moves, if you want to be a hero be my guest... you will only find regretment he took back is hand and with a sadden look in his eyesm gazed at the boy "The Jedi order does not allow emotion, I think its a mistake. Love, passion, joy, anger and fear are things they look down on... Im rambling forget it he smiled before he crushed the Reven's spirit. "Come partner, we need to find work so we can eat and drink!" he smiled as he stood up, leaving the Hapan boy to pay up the bill, while he waited outside.

long days are ahead of us Taku mused as he waited by the doorway. Meaby this kid will give him a purpose in the empty life he led, he might even find the death he was looking for.
