Class name: RC-7
Faction: Republic
Manufacturer: ResCorp
Classification: Combat
Purpose: Sentinel, war droid, assault droid.
Dimensions
Height: 2 Meters
Weight: 400 Kg
Power Source: Universal power cells
Movement type: Bipedal
Number of limbs:
Arms: 2
Legs: 2
Other: N/A
Armor: 3 cm of blued Bronzium-Durasteel alloy
Shields: N/A
Armaments: Most hand-held ranged weapons may be used. ResCorp has included one of its top blaster rifles with each RC-7. Additionally, each droid has a small integral blaster built into the right wrist.
Other Equipment: Built in proximity scanners, targeting computer, and comm. system.
Description: Best described as a walking tank, the RC-7 is the result of ResCorp’s designers admiring Kellenech Technologies Sentinel Droid series to the point of patent-infringement for the RC-1. To avoid prosecution, they retooled much of the systems over the next decades. The most recent result is a slow, inefficient, lumbering tank of a droid. Efficiency studies showed that it averaged 24 hours of intensive combat before requiring new power cells, while more mundane duties required a complete recharge once a week. Its redeeming quality is its survivability. RC-7s in service have been blown apart and continued to function, have proven nearly invulnerable to light weapons, and have shown a remarkable resistance to environmental factors. Arguably its largest flaw is poor artificial intelligence, a chronic complaint for ResCorp’s droids.
(My first droid, so please bear with me if it needs much work)
