Description/Role:
The vehicle looks much like this, only instead of one missile there are a pair of rectangular magazines attached. Also this vehicle is a repulsor class, not a tank class.
*One Rocket Magazine can comprise of eight guided missiles, with all of one type in a single magazine. Larger missiles have an extremely long effective range and damage capacity at the cost of number of missiles per magazine. None of these missiles have the ability to track moving targets. They must be fired at a fixed location on a map. This makes them less effective against vehicles and mobile targets and more effective against infantry and fixed targets. The missiles time to target is extremely fast. When coupled with the high mobility of this particular piece of artillery, it is extremely useful and practically immune to counter battery artillery strikes.
Due to its nature as a rear echelon vehicle and its need for support vehicles to carry ammunition, it is lightly armored and sports no shielding.
Rocket Types:
Ion Missile - x8 per magazine, min/max effective range: 20km - 80km. Solely effective against vehicles and shields. Vehicle Kill radius: 100m.
AP DPICM - x8 per magazine, min/max eff range: 20km - 80km. Disperse 300 bomblets with the effectiveness of a standard hand grenade at a predetermined height. Ineffective against hardened structures and armored vehicles.
Standard Missile - x8 Per magazine, min/max eff range: 20km - 80km. Sports a 250lb high explosive warhead who's fuse can be set by the operator. It can either detonate on impact, slightly after impact, or at a determined altitude to give an airburst effect. Standard fuse infantry kill radius is 60m, and wound radius is 150m.
ER Ion Missile - x2 per magazine, min/max effective range: 55km - 350km. Solely effective against vehicles and shields. Vehicle kill radius: 200m.
ER DPICM - x2 per magazine, min/max eff range: 55km - 350km. Disperses 500 bomblets with the effectiveness of a standard hand grenade at a predetermined height. Ineffective against hardened structures and armored vehicles.
ER Missile - x2 per magazine, min/max effective range: 55km - 250km. Sports a 700lb high explosive warhead who's fuse can be set by the operator. It can either detonate on impact, slightly after impact, or at a determined altitude to give an airburst effect. Standard fuse infantry kill radius is 500m, and wound radius is 1km.
Once all rockets have been expended from the magazine, it is released via hydraulic controls and a new magazine is picked up and loaded into the vehicle.
As of 3601 BBY there are 25 of these vehicles in use by the Sith Army, and all of them operate as a single unit. Despite this they retain the ability to be shipped individually or in a small group and conduct special operations any where they are needed.
