Millions of stars shot by the cockpit of the Baskerville, the sleek black ship almost blending in with the darkness of space. Arc watched lazily in the copilots seat as his droid pilot held the reigns. It was a rather off and on relationship between the droid and Arc, if the bounty hunter felt like driving he would but otherwise it was the droid who piloted the ship. He had bought the thing with the money he had earned from his experiences on Coruscant.
"Keep a steady course, Junkbolt. Ill be in the cargo area", yawned Arc standing up, his black duster unclinging from the seat chair to hang loosely from him as he walked away. "Aye sir", the droid chipped back cheerfully. Junkbolt was a nickname for the mechanical pilot, the actual code name being P0-TB but Arc didnt care for it so he programmed it to be recognized by a different name.
Walking smoothly into the cargo bay; Arc let his hands fall to his holsters and caress the cold metal guns. Unlike most weapons of this time relying on battery packs to fire lasers, Arc dual wielded two slug throwing pistols that once belonged to his mother. One was black while the other silver, both complimenting each other when wielded by the bounty hunter. The black one was more powerful than the sleek silver companion however but fired more slowly, while the silver had a larger ammo capacity and shot at a faster rate. The ammo they used was crafted specially and the boxes that lined the walls of the cargo bay were filled to the brim with the ammunition.
"Most would think i was insane doing what i was about to do", he muttered quietly to himself as he pulled out the black pistol that he had dubbed Onyx and examined the weapon. After he found it acceptable he holstered it and pulled out the silver pistol; named Integra and began the same process. Finding it acceptable as well, he holstered it and took a deep breath.
He was actually flying towards Mygeeto, a planet that rumor had it was about to be the center of a great battle. Arc had heard these tales by a local drunk at the Mos Espa cantina that claimed to be an ex Sith soldier. As far as Arc was concerned, where there was battle there was dirty play.
And he was oh so good at dirty play.
His red eyes shifted across the bay as he took inventory. The Baskerville was a medium sized ship so there were about twenty crates of ammuntion along with several other crates of rations and such that could keep the bounty hunter alive in case of ship malfunction. He had to make sure he was ready; plenty of ammo was available but a major topic was still in question.
Whom would he side for? Sith or Republic.
Neither were very benefitful for him besides the credits but he didnt mean to be a common soldier, that would never do. Arc was a bounty hunter and what did bounty hunters do?They hunted.
A small grin came to Arc's face as the thought of the hunt arose in his mind. For to long had he been gone, only recently coming out of retirement to once again grace the underworld with his feared reputation...and his bullets.
[occ: sorry if this didnt go with what you wanted Talau, wasnt sure how to proceed. PM me if this post needs edited to work with current ideas.]

(just the ones for the sith...)
The Pendragon hung in space a single, short, jump from Mygeeto. He was waiting for the rest of the fleet and finishing the preparations on the Centurion class ship. To be honest, there wasn't much left to do...most of his preparations had been made over Nar Shaddaa while looking for his sister, and since then he'd been trying to heal up his side injury as well as take care of any last minute preparations....not to mention keeping an eye on the holonetwork about his sister. It seemed she'd landed herself in more trouble than was due, and no small thanks to that blasted dark jedi...Vex.
Sitting behind his desk in the room just off the bridge, the rear-admiral sorted through the papers and datapads strewn about his desk. The calm before the storm was always the worst time for Jade, running and rerunning scenarios through his mind. What the red eyed man could really use were some hired hands....people who could possibly give him an underhanded advantage.
Despite his position, Jade couldn't afford to lose. The loss would put him in an even more vulnerable position than he already was with Admiral Barj...who seemed to question everything. No, he needed the man's trust if he was going to get anything done.

"Sir, Sith vessel a short jump from Mygeeto", the droids voice chimmed in on his wrist comm as Arc had finished inventory. The bounty hunter thought for a moment. He had dealt with the Sith in the past, they'd so far held up to their ends of the bargains. There was no doubt they'd need all the help they could get for the upcoming conflict...if it happened.
Regardless it would most likely be in Arc's best interest to work for them, war or not. There were people to kill he was sure. "Good work JB, im on my way back. Prepare to open a channel to the vessel and lets hope we wont have to dodge any laser cannons"
"Yes sir" was all the droid said as Arc made his way back. His boots clunked with each step on the cold metal floor as the bounty hunter went into some deep thought. The Republic was to honorable to deal with bounty hunters, while some of their officers would but most would be dishonorably discharged if they were discovered. It was why Arc believed the Republic would lose eventually, they didnt do what was needed to win.
As he entered the cockpit, the droid gave him the heads up to start recording. Clearing his throat, Arc began.
"This is Arc Laud of the Baskerville. Sith vessel im aware of what is about to go down at Mygeeto and wish to pledge my services to your cause...for a price of course. I'll be awaiting your response"
The droids mech fingers danced around the console then hit one final button. "Its been sent. Should i warm the hyperdrive incase we need immediate retreat time?" it asked cautiously. Amazing that the droid knew what could possibly happen. "Yeah go ahead, this should be interesting", Arc replied lazily then sat back down on his co-pilot char.
All they had to do was wait now.

En route to Mygeeto for the rumored battle, Talgo picked up a sith capitol ship on the Flong's Fist's sensors. The data he'd recieved prior allowed the reconizaton that the warship was the Pendragon, flagship of the sith armada rumored to be en route to Mygeeto.
The light transport came out of hyperspace in the flagship's vicinity. B3-A3 turned the shields up as Talgo headed in closer.
"Can you get a connection to the bridge?"
"Yes master, I just need one moment."
"Make it fast, B-3"
While his droid went to work on opening a comm channel, Talgo looked out over the Pendragon. The Mandalorian reconized the ship to be a Centurion-class battlecruiser. He wondered just how much firepower that thing could unleash. He might find out soon...
"Connection established master!"
"Excellent. Put me through."
" Of course sir"
Talgo decided to make his transmission as simple and short as possible,
"Attention Pendragon, this is Talgo Flong. I come on a call for bounty hunters and mercenaries to join the forces of the Sith for the battle to come."

No sooner had Jade settled into his work than a notice came through on his computer screen. Blinking at it, he sighed and sat up again. Patching the first message through, Jade narrowed his eyes. The man there looked, at best, untrustworthy...his message bringing a slight frown to the rear admiral's face. With the touch of a button a young woman appeared on the screen that had previously held the recorded message.
Lieutenant, I believe there is a ship not far away, am I correct?
The woman nodded slightly. "Actually sir, there are two ships...one of them is hailing us." Jade simply nodded in understanding.
Raise our shields. I don't expect us to be attacked, but arm her up just in case. Oh, and patch the frequency through.
He replied with what sounded like no more than a mild disinterest.
"Shall I charge our weapons as well, sir?"
Jade scratched his chin slightly and nodded.
Charge them, but don't lock on. I just want to be ready. I'm in no mood to be toyed with, and they need to know this.
The young officer nodded and after a moment the screen went blank before showing a mandalorian. Well, this wasn't something Jade was used to...seeing a mandalorian actually requesting to talk to him. Typically it was shoot first, ask questions later. As he listened to the man's words Jade smirked slightly and raised an eyebrow.
Really? I wasn't informed of such a call to arms? Who have you heard this from, pray tell?
More than likely it was Admiral Barj, but, no harm in asking. As he spoke, Jade was also busy typing up a reply to the other ship.
Forgive the lack of visual communications, I'm currently debating with another ship. What, exactly, did you hear, and what, pray tell, might you be asking for payment?

Talgo was surprised to hear that the sith admiral was unaware of the call sent out. lack of organization... or something more?, the Mandalorian thought.
"The source I recieved the call from was from some sort of base. Sketchy, or not to reliable at best. But I chose to go for it. Now I'm ready to see if this is a job opportunity, or just a mistake."
Now, the bounty hunter waited. If things got ugly real fast, then he preferred to be ready for it.

"Sir, we have a reply!", came JB's happy reply, causing Arc to wince. His red eyes glared at the droid momentarily while it ran the message through. He couldnt help at smirk, the Sith were smart. They didnt like to be toyed with but that didnt mean he had to reveal anything.
"Tell them...we have our sources. Payment is in hard credits and depends on the work", Arc slowly said, thinking everything through. The news of another ship didnt bother him, probably some other hot shot bounty hunter aware of the rumors. The Underworld was to the brim with information that didnt want to be given out but is done so unforgivingly. It was Arc's job to exploit this information.
"Send?", asked the droid, swiveling its head to look at Arc. The bounty hunter nodded and the droids mech fingers danced across the keyboard once more. "Message sent!"
Arc folded his arms and waited, interested to see what the Sith had in mind.

((Thread for Mygeeto: swrponline2.proboards107.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=mygeeto&thread=3591&page=1 Also, to clear up misunderstandings, Arc's messages will be the non-visual (italics) and Talgo's will be visual (regular)...i think you were trying to reply to both Jackal. lol)) As the mando before him replied, Jade smiled slightly and nodded. Yes, that sounded like Barj. Well, he could use all the help he could get. Ah yes, that sounds like the admiral. He only sees fit to tell me what I NEED to know, and little else. Yes, I'm sure I could use your help, it wouldn't be an easy job however...He replied simply. As the message from the other ship came through on his computer, he blinked at it....he was sure he'd not asked about where they had heard about this from, so why the bit about connections? Checking the security of the frequency he was using, there was no sign of a breach. Keeping it in the back of his mind, Jade put the questions out of mind for the moment and allowed it to be seen as a misinterpretation only. I understand how your payments would work, unfortunately I don't have the funds on this ship, I'm a navy vessel, not a bank. I can, however, have the credits transferred to an account of your choice. As for the job...I believe it should be told in person, so I don't have to repeat myself. Bring your ship to the port side, aft hangers. I'll have the shields lowered temporarily. Sending the message, he returned to the mando on the screen. Forgive me, I seem to be dealing with two people at once. Like I just told our other...'friend'....come to the port aft hangar and land your ship, I would prefer not to repeat myself for both of you so I'll tell you in person. The shields will be down momentarily.Closing communications, he informed the bridge of his intentions and headed to the hangars, getting there swiftly enough using the various 'short cuts' he'd familiarized himself with.
