Fading blue over a sea of sand. The light was disappearing, slowly, over the vast landscape of nothingness. The sand blew colder and colder, a stark contrast to its heavy heat of midday. For anyone on the ground, the view of the world around them would still be very clear, but not nearly as illuminated as it had been several hours earlier. Now the two suns, which beat down unrelentingly upon the planet, were drifting down towards the horizon, and it wouldn’t be long before they had disappeared completely.
The old man looked down on the flat lands before him. He gave a bit of a snarl as he took in every piece of it. Gazing across to take in every hill, and every piece of sand. This empty land was immense, and barren. There was hardly any point to living on this planet, there was no way anyone to survive alone, and it wasn’t much better in the groups and clusters at the star ports and towns. This was likely the reason he had come, just to be away from the people. The disgust that he had for the galaxy was incredible. Whether it was the core or the rim, it was misery and hunger. The misery of the people, and the hunger of those who wanted power. About neither group did he care, but he knew what it truly meant to be helpless, and felt no sympathy for those that only had the illusion that such described their situation.
A light flashed at the console just before him. He had expected nothing to be appear, and he was rather aggravated by the sheer fact that something was entering into his solitude. He flicked a switch to find what it was that was getting in his way. The screen on the console showed a stretch of desert, with a trail of metal rippling across the sand. He knew enough to recognize what amounted to a crash site. He did not change course. He considered shifting position, going in a different direction. But in his mind, this had already gotten in his way. There was no reason for him to move, instead, this thing in his path should move, or be moved. Of course it was nothing more then inanimate objects, but that didn’t matter. Something put this in his way, and he could at least find out what that was. So he did not alter course at all, instead increased speed.
The scan was picking up clusters of metal, but for the most part there was nothing really left. No doubt Jawas had picked up their fill of the pieces they wanted. So the old man moved to find the largest cluster of the remaining material, to “face the demon” that was in his way. There wasn’t much where he was headed anyway, but that didn’t matter to him at all. He came in quickly, and his eyes scanned the wreckage. There were pieces of metal, some large, some small, all over the small stretch of sand. The old man set his fingers on the controls and brought the craft lower. Further, further, and further, until it settled into the ground. He got up from the chair, and walked towards the back. A ramp lowered just in front of his feet. He proceeded to set his feet upon it.
The old man could smell the sand, and he could feel the air. It was colder outside then in the shuttle. His feet padded along the metal ramp until they hit the planets surface. He moved a bit further away, and the ramp raised back up into the ship. He looked from side to side, then up to the sky. He walked a few steps and then looked out at the desert. There was nothing, nothing for miles, until the sand touched the horizon. His head turned right, and he walked forward. The metal debris was all over the ground. It had a thing layer of sand on all of it. Some of it went up higher then his shuttle, but there wasn’t anything solid of the structure that it once made up. He passed through it, his face holding a frown as he looked at it all. He would stand by pieces of it, but didn’t touch anything. He just gazed, up and down, at everything that was there. This was a scorched piece of nothing, that could have been there for a very long time. He didn’t know, he didn’t care. The old man stepped along the sand some more. He looked down to see what appeared to something slightly buried. With a wave of his hand, the sand on it shifted away. It revealed a small box, a little more then a foot long. He held his hand before his body, the fingers flat. He began to close it, like he was going to make a fist. As he did, the box lifted into the air. He waved his left and the box flipped opened. The old man looked inside the box.
What he saw made his eyes widen. Two metal rods, with what appeared to be grips. There were buttons on them, and they were very similar to several he had on his person. He took them in his hand, and he looked them over. They were just as he suspected, the hilts of two lightsabers. He released the box, and it fell to the ground. He looked right, and left once more. There was no one there, but he knew full well what these were. These were extremely important to whoever had created them. Yet no one was here to claim them. Questions went into his head, but it was nothing compared to the anger that started to drip into his mind. He began to walk around more, the two sabers in his left hand, his index finger separating them. Drifting from portion to portion of the metal. Something told him to go deeper to his right. Something in his mind suggested this was the best direction to go. His feet padded along the increasingly cold sand. He moved until he found a fairly large piece of metal. The old man looked over it, and approached it. From his distance he couldn’t quite grasp what was before him. Then his eyes focused and he could make out the outline of man. He wasn’t sure exactly what this way, a statue perhaps. He came closer to it. It was a rectangular thing, leaned up against the larger piece of metal, and was slightly tilted. It looked like a carbon frozen mass, but he hadn’t seen one with a person in it before. The old man wasn’t sure what this was, or what to do about it. He came closer to it. He didn’t see anything on it, but found a small pad on the side. When he brought his hand beside it, a set of small lights activated and blinked. He wasn’t quite sure what it meant. What he did understand was the release function. The old man stood back a moment, not sure of what he should do. But in his mind, this was what was in his way, and it wasn’t moving. For that reason, he would move it. He activated the release, and the whole slab began to give a sort of humming sound. As it went to work, he moved to the front of it, standing several yards away, as he waited for whatever was within to emerge.

The initial pain of Ezo's release was the only thing he could focus on when the carbonite slab broke apart suddenly, after a year of being locked unconsciously in the sweating metal tomb that lay in the sand. Everything hurt.
Within milliseconds of the container's release, the forces of gravity took presence again in Ezo's life and pulled him helplessly to the cold and compact sand. He lay on his right side in the recovery position, sand wisping harshly over his back.
The first thing he consciously noticed was his blurry vision and inability to focus on anything except how much he hurt. Every muscle in his body twitched and spasmed wildly, from his calves to his pectorals, even his eyelids. Convulsing on the sand a moment, Ezo attempted to regain his balance, unaware he had already fallen. This dizziness and confusion finally took its wrath, and nautiousness took over, making bubble and gurgle feelings deep in his throat. Ezo's body began to dry heave and even rarely vomit little bits of clear fluid onto the sand before him, making it wet and clump together in a cluster of dots.
It was then that Ezo began to take notice of his surrounding. Firstly, his hand, now propping him, specifically his fingers, he could feel the sand and the cold seeping through his wrap. 'What the hell was sand doing here?' his brain seemed to scream to him. Secondly, his vision began to undistort itself, becoming less and less blurry by the second, finally revealing a vast blueish orange array of sky and desert dunes as far as the eye could see, or at least his eyes.
With his left hand holding his ribs on his right side, from the tormenting difficulty he was having breathing, his right hand supported the weight of his upper body and his right arm began to flex and push the weight of this body to a more upright position, restoring some balance and at least the feeling of what was up and what was down. Struggling to get more upright, Ezo could make out the silhouette of someone standing against the darkening, but still lit background the sky provided before him, as he spun to come to one knee the easiest way his body would allow.
The figure began to focus, changing his mind's focus along with it. “who's their!?” he attempted to yell in as much of a voice he could muster after not using it in so long. The result was a scratchy horse jumble of words, sounding like a pubescent teen, giving a speech before his classmates. As the figure came into near full focus, so did his senses. Before even seeing the figures face, he seen the hilts of his and his father's weapons being held in his hand. A sudden wave of fear and rage overcome Ezo and he wanted them back.
With all his might, and as much serenity he could afford, Ezo reached out his right hand toward the figure, while his knees shook and almost buckled bringing fully upright for the first time in a long time. Ezo closed his eyes and focused on the one thing he wanted most, those sabers in his hands, and so they were. All in a matter of seconds, Ezo went from a pile of twitching uncoordinated body, to standing bladed, awkwardly and unbalanced, but determined with his right arm and blue blade ignited, fully enxtended, and pointing at his observer. The other hilt simply in his left hand, docile, waiting.

The old man watched as the metal which held this man before him began to melt and burn away. He was expecting the thing to come out as a corpse, as he wasn’t aware of carbon freezing working on living creatures, or at least humans. Either way it did not matter to him. He did nothing but watch as being came out. The metal that once covered him moved away bit by bit, until it was all gone. When it was finished there was just a man, and he was alive. He was grabbing himself like he was in pain, and the old man could hear him breathing.
But the old man could sense something. There was something that made this person different then most people. He could feel it, and he could almost hear the force telling him. This gave him a suspicion but he wasn’t sure. Nothing really was able to tell him what he wanted to know. Suspicion was the way he lived his life, and he had no trouble with keeping it. He didn’t move, but he kept watching. Even as the man before him called at him he didn’t say or do anything. The old man did not know what was wrong with this man, he appeared to be weak, so he remained motionless.
Suddenly he felt the two metal rods in his hand leave his grip. He hadn’t been holding very tightly to them, but they flew from his hand. He widened his hand out and looked down at it. They were gone, and he looked forward to see the figure before him. He had the lightsabers in his hands, but one pointed against him. A blue blade extended from it, and was held in a stance of challenge. The right side of the old mans upper lip twitched, his nostrils flared. ”Jedi.” he growled. He had an anger start to build up within him. The first Jedi he’d come across in near 50 years, and he dared to threaten him. He held his right hand out, and from just in front of the ragged, tattered, dark robe, and gripped his own lightsaber. He extended the red blade extended. He did not advance but he was ready, and his blade remained at his side, as he accepted the Jedi’s challenge.

“Jedi”
Ezo's ears heard the word and its intended demeanor, and somewhat slowly, like a cyclist amid traffic, his brain deciphered it. A thousand questions flew through his thoughts. 'who was this man?' 'Where am I?' 'What the hell is going on?'
A crisp snap, then the flowing hum mm that Ezo was all to familiar with emanated from the direction of the slightly more clear being in front of him. The man was of average height, not decripid but certainly elderly, and wore a dark tattered robe covered in teeth and furs. The sight of his robe reminded him briefly of home, hunting to provide, or even to survive. Coming back to reality, from his day dreamy state, Ezo took notice of what drew his attention in the first place, his fellow beings light saber, and its red blade. Ezo again fell into deep thought, remembering what his father once taught him of a crimson blade being the signature of the Sith many years ago, and how they were hellbent on destruction and death.
The man, now his opponent, stood before him in a defensive stance, with much confidence radiating off him. Ezo was slowly regaining his chi with the force, and could feel ignorance and a flaring rage from this man.
Ezo gripped his lit saber hilt tighter and lunged furiously at his opponent, or at least what he thought would be. The lack of strength in his legs, combined with his still debilitating cardiovascular set back caused his attack to fall somewhat short and with much less force then he had intended, barely grazing the red blade of the old man's weapon before his lack of strength, although improving by each passing minuet, failed him yet again, by allowing his grip to release and throw his humming weapon aside, out of reach.
Ezo landed like a fool on the unforgivably hard sands that lay before the old man's feet, the coarse sand splashing like water into his eyes, not helping with his already troublesome visual impairment. Unarmed and vulnerable due to proximity, he defended himself the quickest way he knew how. With his left hand, he ignited the other saber, it's red glow illuminating Ezo's mask beneath his hood, in the now darkening environment, post sunsets.

The old man prepared for the imminent attack form the figure before him. He could sense a confusion inside of him. He pieced in his own mind that likely this person hadn’t anticipated the craft to crash. But he wasn’t concerned with this, his mind was simply waiting for the strike. Though only one lightsaber was extended, his opponent did have two, which meant that he was likely trained to use them both. That meant weaker strikes, and attacks at opportunities. He kept only one hand on his lightsaber waiting for the attack to come.
The hooded figure appeared to attempt a lunge, and instinctively the old man quickly brought both his hands to his lightsabers hilt. But the man seemed to lose every bit of what he was trying to do, and his saber barely tapped against his own. He was weak from his time immobile, but he could already sense that he was coming back to his strength. He lowered the lightsaber as the man dropped to the sand, his lightsaber deactivating at his feet.
The old man reached his left hand out, and thrust it to the side quickly. The deactivated lightsaber flew off the sand away. He kept his eyes on the man in the sand. He didn’t take a step towards him. He’d expected to start going on the defensive, but now this man lay at his feet. The old man was about to take the advantage when the man on the ground ignited the second lightsaber. Instead of matching the other blade, it was red. This confused the old man. That was not allowed in the Jedi Order, so why did he have one? ”Jedi, forgetting teachings.” He growled, reaching his left hand out. He concentrated, and focused on the mans figure and his body. Like with the lightsaber he thrust his hand again, only this time forward. He wanted to throw him back at the carbon freezing tablet he had just fallen from. ”You don’t take the offensive if you are too weak to even hold up your own feet” He said with emphasis on the last word. He kept his hand forward, and he stepped forward to prepare to make an attack.

Ezo prepared his crimson blade, while lay on the ground, for the obvious strike his towering opponent would make, when suddenly, weightlessness engulfed him and he was thrown backwards into the tomb he moments ago fell from like a rubbery mess.
Ezo took a moment to regain his composure when the old man spoke.
“You don’t take the offensive if your too weak to hold up your own feet”
'Who did this man think he was – His father or something!?' Ezo thought, with a sudden wave of anger and rage flowing through him.
“You don’t tell me what I do old timer!” Ezo yelled, as this new found hate seemed to alleviate most of the pain and suffering that the carbonite slumber had endowed upon him.
Ezo stood tall, enraged with the ignorance of this old man. With a quick wisp, only moving his hand up to pull his lost saber hilt from the sand several meters away, he ignited it mid flight, before catching it with a firm grip this time. Ezo took an aggressive stance, switching his grip from fore to reverse on his elegant weapons, causing them to never stop moving, and an intimidating hummm as they wurled about in front and behind him, typical of the Aturu combat form he was proficient with.
You will parish Sith! Ezo exclaimed, as he again lunged forward, this time keeping his balance, and striking for his head and torso from opposite directions.

The hooded figure was quick to spout back against the old man. He shouted a message of arrogance, and the old man could sense the anger within him. It wasn’t a common trait of a Jedi to hold such a thing. There was quite a lot that was strange about this whole thing, but that wasn’t sticking to his mind. What he followed was the lightsaber that rushed by him and entered the mans hand. He brought his saber just before his body, and prepared for an attack. The buzzing of the lightsabers being worked in front of him wasn’t something he had seen for quite some time. But if there was one thing he had been engrained with, it was what look for in a strike.
It came quickly. One at level with his head, the other lower on his body. He lowered his head for the first strike, and blocked the strike of the second. He thrust his hands forward to counter his own strength.
But being called a Sith. Even the suggestion battered in his mind. ”Mindless monsters.” The old man grumbled, without much note that he’d even said it. His impression of them, though never having seen one, was considerably opposed. He thrust his blade forward connecting it at his opponents. ”They are as arrogant as you are stupid.” He spat gruffly, while focusing towards his opponents mid section. Open handed he put his palm just before his opponents belly and flexed his arm, as his put a great deal of energy into thrusting his opponent back once more. ”And you’ll slip to the abyss, same as them.” He said as he pushed the energy towards him.

Focusing on the comments the old man made while their blades were locked, although intriguing and confusing, was the weakness the old man had been waiting for. Ezo only got a glimpse of the man's off hand palm at his abdomen before another weightless feeling, followed by the familiar feeling of the carbonite slab connecting with the rear of his head.
'I've gotta stop letting him do that' Ezo thought. Again returning to his feet and taking stance, Ezo momentarily considered using camouflage to out wit his opponent, but judging by the ease he was showing while combating, he was likely attune enough to see him without his eyes.
Ezo returned to a fore grip on both sabers, still buzzing them about in an impressive display of coordination and discipline.
If you are no Sith, then what are you, certainly not Jedi you corrupt old fool” Ezo spoke with confidence, “ I'd strike you down even if you were”
Ezo called upon the force, sensing all that encompassed his opponent before him, feeling his rage and using it. As a flash of light, Ezo showed this decrepit old fool the strong connection his body had with the force surrounding and used it to close distance quickly and strike the same, increasing his strength all the same. Ezo slashed wildly at the old man, but in control, the art of Aturu allowed for the acrobatics Ezo was demonstrating, even encouraged it, this time conscious of this old mans obvious preference to push and pull him around.

A sudden burst of air, a zooming hum, and flash of light, and the old mans adversary was tearing at him. He knew this point would inevitably come, he grasped a heavy guardian sort of feel from his opponent. But he’d been mentally prepared for a fast retaliation even from the moment the lightabers left his hand. So this was actually coming later then what he’d actually thought would happen. And he brought his blade center, and was prepared for it.
The clash and flash was immense. The sabers linked and the sound changed to that a welder. But it didn’t stay this way, as a new attack came right. The old man shifted his arms quickly and blocked. He brought his across to take an advantage, but there was hardly any time before a new attack was coming. It could be one blade at a moment, then within milliseconds, two were coming down. They were quick, and clearly methodic. The old man took the time to get into the head of his opponent, as his hands were still fine to block things he’d been prepared for, for decades.
He saw anger, rage, and confusion. The confusion was in that he had no idea where he was most likely, but that didn’t matter. The old man caught both sabers coming down on them, and blocked them with his own, forcing them into a lock.”The misery of your youth, you don’t even recognize a Shamen when you see one.” He brought his hand down, towards his opponents legs. He clenched his fist, and pulled his arm in. He had every intention of pulling his adversaries legs out from beneath him. And as that went through he attempt to ‘force’ the blue lightsaber from his opponents hand, and fling it across the sand.

Hey dude, sry bout the wait, just woke up ... I'll pop online here and their tonight, so keep it goin, check in later....
It sounded as if a welder had gone out of control. With every snap and crash came sparks of gold and deep orange. Ezo was on the offensive, as he had been this whole fight, despite his set backs. Feeling much better now, and using the anger this old fool had stirred up in him, by attempting to be his father, 'How dare he' he thought, and continued his assault on the pathetic old man.
Despite his haste, Ezo could not seem to break this old man defense - despite his positioning, foot work , agility and speed, he simply could not get past. Strike after strike, the old man blocked with what seemed, was ease and confidence.
Ezo took another slash at his face, causing a reddish hue to overpower his pale skin tone, and another with the blue towards his ankles, again met with block after block, infuriating Ezo more and more. Another slash at his feet, followed by two more at his waist and arm, Ezo seemed to be in control, but the old man did nothing but block. Ezo felt a different approach was what was needed, and switched to a more traditional Jar' Kai form, engaging in a less aggressive and more methodical fasion.
Seeing an opening, Ezo attacked, this time, from above. Ezo came down with both sabers hard on the old man, and to his surprise, the old bastard blocked again, making the three blades clash in a display of molten sparks and a shower of fireworks.
"The misery of your youth, you don’t even recognize a Shamen when you see one" the old man decreed.
" Shamen? The only Shamen I've been taught of were of Ewok or Felucians, not sickly looking old men! Your no Shamen, but a deceiver, a confused old Si....... " Before Ezo could finish his sentence, his legs were taken out from underneath him, as if a rope had been tied to each knee and pulled from in front of him. Before he hit the ground, he felt the hilt of the saber in his right hand begin to twitch and tug away, instantly realizing the old man was playing his games again. Before landing, Ezo caught his balance and rolled backwards to his feet, allowing the saber hilt to be flung away into the darkness around them.
Ezo had had enough, a plan had began to erode his mind, like a weed in a flower garden. If this old timer wanted tricks, he would give him one.
With that, Ezo deactivated his red saber, and crossed his arms in front of his chest, concentrating and relaxing. In a split-nanosecond, Ezo opened his eyes, flashing an evil red and blue glare, and his whole body disappeared into the darkness, with silence and stealth.

The old man stopped after he took out his opponent’s feet again. Even if his opponent was getting a handle on what he was doing, he knew enough of how to fight. He had the methods of decades in his mind, and the patience to fill it. He could alter his method within a moment, and it wouldn’t be any issue. But at this point, his mind wasn’t as focused on how to kill his opponent. Anyone he knew anything about being a swordsmen would recognize that he could have done it by now. At any of the times he’d tossed his opponent he could have sliced his insides. When he’d had hold of the lightsaber, he could have cut them apart. However he had done none of these things. Not even in his opponent’s blind attacks, had he hardly chosen to send an attack back.
Then without a moments notice, the hooded figure disappeared. This was quite a technique, and he had seen it before, though not for many years. And when it happened, he knew what he had to do. He started to focus, and quieted his mind. All that was going through his mind was what to hear. And what he was listening to was the force. The sound of his own blade seemed to fade. The humming just didn’t seem to be there anymore. His eyes closed and he remained motionless for a moment. But just as soon as it happened he opened them again, but as he did, he brought his lightsaber down, tapping the button, and the red blade vanished into the hilt.
He did not need it. As his concentration came in deeper, he came to find the essence of who his adversary was. They were confused, and they didn’t know where they were. But what he came to grasp was this was no jedi, he couldn’t be. He didn’t have nearly the discipline of true jedi, and had emotion running through him that no Jedi would have. Anger, aggression, rage, hate, all swelling in him. But the old man was no sith, and what was more was he was never mistaken for one before then. However, he had a question that he could find no answer for. ”You were in that.” The old man pointed out, looking at the carbon freezing tablet. ”Why?” He asked in a very low, and scratchy tone, almost in a way that didn’t sound like a question. His lightsaber remained in his hand, but the red blade that had formerly come from it, no longer was present.

“You were in that? “ - “Why?”
Had the old man not shut off his weapon, leaving only the eyrie silence of the grains of sand blowing across the dark dessert terrain, Ezo likely wouldn't have heard his comments, but the quiet and stillness that followed the deep concentration Ezo had forced him into, made the low grumble into audible confusion.
Ezo stopped in his tracks, following suit with the old man, feeling him in his own head, and reaching out to his. Ezo had assumed that this man was some sith mercenary sent to destroy what remained of his family, and, likely due to his youth and impulsiveness, had not even once tried to feel him out with anything more than accusations. What Ezo felt was strange and confusing, when on Endor, much peace and tranquility resonated from th planet and its few inhabitants, and while in carbonite, it was like his mind was in prison, solitary confinement even, but now he felt rage, hate, yet determination and avoidance. Ezo decided he would humor the old man, but still be wary of his tricks, he had fooled him already a few times today, it would not happen again.
Ezo made himself visible to the old timer, far enough away that he could not strike without warning. Unlike the old man, Ezo left his blades extended, but in a more docile position then before, in reverse grip, vertical behind his arms, the fastest defensive position he knew that would not be too obvious of his mistrust.
“Okay, you wanna talk old timer, lets talk. I don’t know where I am now, or when I am now, but before I was placed in that horrid sarcophagus, I watched an evil, much like yourself, slay my father, and drag my mother off to slavery...”
“I'm sure your working for them, just as that not-yet-dead bounty hunter was, and his time is coming, the same as yours if you keep this up!”
Ezo stood ready, eager and awaiting a response from the pearced old lips of the now shaded figure before him. Although he came across confidant, Ezo was scared. This man had to be near 90 years old, and not only had he blocked every effort Ezo made at him with his blades, but also managed to outsmart him and sweep him off his feet, not once, but twice. Ezo was feeling as though he was out of options, and the confusion and horror of what he felt to still be his recent past began to set in after the old mans inquiry. Ezo looked up into the stars and moons above, hoping his father was looking down upon him, he would need his help, should the old man wish to see this battle through to it's end...

The old man waited with a motion or a word. He stood in his common stance, but he was following. He had come an understanding of this persons aura, in that he was sensing his action. He couldn’t exactly make out where he was right at the moment, but if he tried to make an attack, he’d be able parry it as though he was staring right at him. It wasn’t until the hooded confused being started talking that his started to loosen up, but only slightly as he could see him. At the moment he became visible, the old man wanted to grip him, and fling him into the sand. Likely after that, he could sever his opponents head. His hooded figure paid next to know attention in how to balance his skills, and was looking for an attack in only one place. Much like he wasn’t so much anticipating the old mans moves, as much as he was guessing, or trying to throw him on the defensive so he wouldn’t have to.
The mention of the mothers enslavement entered into his mind however. He knew what it meant to be a slave, though she probably wouldn’t have to live in the way he had to. They were nothing to do him. Hearing the suggestion that he might be working for someone angered him though. ”I am a servant of none.” He spat out quickly in that gruff tone of his. ”Not of the Jedi, and not of your evils.” His grumbling wasn’t very loud, but it was more thinking aloud then a planned statement.
He kept his saber in his hand, but refrained from igniting it. He knew enough that this arrogant fool might try to come at him again, and he would likely finish him that time, like he could have at the beginning. But what added a question in his mind was the concept of his mother and father. Jedi were not allowed strong attachments, and this hooded man did not work as an orthodox Jedi, and the red blade did not match the other, meaning he found it somewhere, yet he was very adept in its use. This did not appear to be just a Jedi, but something else. ”Who are you.” The old man grumbled, his lightsaber still in hand, but not extended.

“Who are you?”
The question lingered in Ezo's mind, as if he could no longer interpret the english language.
'Who am I?”
Ezo concentrated momentarily before answering the old man's question, feeling for sincerity and honesty in the investigation. When he realized the old man was genuinely curious, he deactivated his weapons but kept them in their respective hands.
“ My name is Ezo, I used to be a jedi" he continued, nodding his head in the direction of the carbonite slab that lay proped up awkardly on some debris only a few meters away.
“ A bounty hunter and another jedi, I think, put me in that thing as some sort of trophy, after killing my father. ”
Ezo's aggression was beginning to subside, being replaced by the heavy feeling of loss and of being alone. The cold of the night over the desert began to mix with the sweat on Ezo's cloths, making him shiver for just a moment. Ezo pulled his hood down and removed the material covering his face, revealing to the old man that he too was a human.
Ezos blue and red eyes looked the old man up and down again, searching for a hint of some emotion, mostly in preparation for an attack, as the old man had still not holstered his weapon either.
" I'm sorry for just attacking you like I did, I thought you were that jedi. You could have killed me several times there, why didn't you? Who are you? ”

The old man groaned as the hooded figure before him began to say so much. He cared so very little about everything that he was saying. He had asked only one question, and wanted only one answer, if even that. Instead he was hearing far more then what he wanted. At this point he was very close to dragging his opponent through the sand by the face, something that wouldn't be very difficult, after he'd seized and severed his lightsabers.
Upon being asked who he was himself, he had no serious interest in answering. He had no belief in balanced exchanges, so when asked about who he was, there was nothing for him to say. He started to think on more broad subjects, such as where they were. Were he to leave this person here, they would without a doubt, die here. There was no where to go, and hoping that Jawas would find you before you fell over dead was like hoping Coruscant's star would explode so you could stop paying taxes.
He'd taken all he wanted from this, and there was no more reason to be here. The old man turned around and began walking back to his ship, which was far enough away that it couldn't really be made out any different from other pieces of scrap.

Ezo starred in disbelief as the old man, instead of answering his questions, as he had his, simply turned around and began walking away. Ezo looked about, not recognizing any of his surroundings, and feeling the oppressive cold chill of the desert night lingering about his limbs. It didn't take much brain power for Ezo to realize, his only opton was to follow this old man, find out how he got here, and go with him.
Ezo looked upwards towards the direction where the old man had began walking just months ago, the dark made it tough to see him, but if he squinted, he could see the outline, although it would have been much easier to simply concentrate on his location, but Ezo was always taught to not abuse the force, as it is is your ally, not your friend. Ezo began running towards the sauntering old man, catching up quickly to his struggling pace. As he closed the distance between himself and the dark robed figure in front of him, Ezo began to yell, not out of anger, but desperation, knowing without this old mans help, he would die in the desert.
“ Where the hell do you think your going old man!? You can't just leave me here to die, after releasing me into this mess! I'm coming with you!”
Ezo again closed the distance between himself and the old man, this time getting closer to him, and the ship which seemed to materialize out of thin air, what once was a mass among debris, now stood out as a gleaming ray of hope for Ezo, that ship was his ticket off this rock, but he had no idea how to fly it.
“Help me old man.” Ezo continued, “ I cant survive here on my own, I don't even know where I am, let me come with you, I yield, you defeated me in my ignorance, I will not be a burden, just take me as far as the next city and I'll leave you alone.”

As he walked the trek back to his ship, the old man could hear the hooded figure yelling at him. He was ignoring it for the most part, and realistically he couldn’t hear most of it. He was blocking it from his mind as he continued to move over the sands through the various pieces of debris, which lay strewn all over the ground. The small craft was not too far ahead. However the fading light made seeing it difficult do to its darker color. But that didn’t matter to him, because he knew where it was. It occurred to him that hooded figure behind him was still yelling things at him, and was clearly following not far behind. His lip twitched a bit, as he was far beyond tired of hearing the noise. With a sudden shift, he reached his arm out as he felt the presence of the figure very close by. As though he was tossing something, and pointed to the ground with his middle and index finger together.
The figure would be dragged to this point with a quick motion, but the old man didn’t look. He didn’t need to. He simply drew his saber quickly, and placed it where he need the figure would be laying in the sand. The red blade was but centimeters from the head of the one who’d been yelling at him. Any move, really at all, would cause the blade to breach the soft skin and end this annoyance’s life without the slightest hesitation.
”You talk too much.” The old man grumbled out, rather quietly. ”And you think too little.” He spat out the last bit. Knowing full well that this represented his victory in their duel, as in his mind, it had never quite ended he brought his saber down. He kept it in his hand, but this wasn’t new, though the blade was no longer extended. He continued his walk towards the ship without saying anything more, but things moved through his head in the place of them.

Ezo lay stunned on the ground, the heat of the old mans blade stinging his now bare neck, and cold damp sand covering his cloths and face all over from being drug across it so suddenly by the force. Ezo didn’t even see it coming, and his head ached slightly from bouncing off the dense terrain, when his feet were swept out, like a rug had been pulled from underneath him.
Pissed off, and confused Ezo looked up with mixed feelings at the old man as he, once again, chose not to slay him, and instead deactivated his laser sword and turned around. Ezo's pride was hurt, this archaic old man had bested him time and time again, and only in a matter of ten minuets. He understood now, that, regardless of how much his father had taught him, and how proficient he thought he was, he still had much to learn, and this old man would have been a prime opportunity to be taught, had he not blown it. Regardless of how clearly antisocial and disdained this old man was, he obviously had some real experience in combat, something Ezo lacked, despite all his training.
As the old man walked off into the darkness towards the barley visible shuttle in the distance, Ezo allowed himself to collapse in the sand, and lay on his back, with his head and neck turned slightly to watch his only chance at survival walk off. Ezo had been defeated in his first and only real fight, and it was a humbling experience non-the-less, as he was in unfamiliar territory, and now the prey instead of the predator he had always been.

The old man had a many things going through his mind. He was anticipating yet another attack from the arrogant force user behind him, this time an aggressive one. But even as he anticipated it, and was prepared, none came. He heard a bit of patting on the sand, but that was all. His eyes remained open as he felt the force around him. He thought a moment about the desert around him. This place was dry, and the sand was entering into places on his robe. He could feel it, and didn’t like it. He preferred wet lands, or places that didn’t have its essence get inside of your clothing.
A bit of a snarl, and he continued. He stopped a moment as he sensed his fallen adversary remaining on the ground. He knew full well he had not killed him, and he wondered why he was opting to remain on the sand. He could sense something like a tower of pride falling to pieces on the ground, and he was tired of it. ”Get up.” He grumbled out louder then the last things he’d said. But he did not stop to see if his demand was met. The old man continued across the sand.
He came upon his ship, the small shuttle he’d taken many years ago. Placing his hand over a side panel and the small ramp from behind it came down. He walked up, slowly, just as he’d gone down. After a short amount of time he was within the personnel portion of the tiny ship. But even though he was on, the ramp did not pull up. Even as the engines began o turn on, the ramp remained down, as though it was waiting for something.

Ezo's heart felt like it was falling down a lift shaft, and his throat had a large lump in it when he heard the old mans next words.
“Get Up.”
Confusion struck him like a bug hitting a windshield, and he quickly flipped to his front side on the sand, and pushed himself upwards from a pushup position, one he was very familiar with as he was no slacker when it came to physical fitness. Once on his feet, Ezo took a quick scan of his surroundings, attempting to get his bearing and ensure he heard the words correctly, when he heard the engine of the shuttle begin to fire.
Ezo made to the ramp with haste, but still unsure of the unfolding situation, he took his time climbing it, unable to see the old man from where he was. Ezo walked towards what appeared to be the cockpit of the ship, stopping and observing every couple steps up the ramp, although it was not very long. The interrior of the craft was small, with ceilings only 5m high and the ramp leading to only one room, or flightdeck. Ezo stopped and wondered for a moment how big a starship was, he had never seen one. As he continued slowly up the ramp towards the seats in front fo him, Ezo began to take notice of more and more as it came into sight, first was the sand and dried mud on the ramp as it began to lift upwards to complete the floor of the cabin, second was three captains seats, which appeared to be very worked in from their backs, next was the cluster of instruments full of blinking lights and little switches, red, blue and green. Finally, Ezo noticed the dark robes hunched over in the center arranged captain's chair, facing the large window and the blinking panel in front of him.
“May I sit …. uh …. Sir?” Ezo mustered, confused and stuttered, as he motioned towards the chair to the old mans right side. Ezo still was not sure what to call this man, but he was certainly grateful for the lift to town, and that he had not killed him in battle, therefore he felt respect would be his new word of the day.
