Eaon didn't answer Lallane when she spoke of the memory of the force. He didn't know what he thought of it, the essence of life made up the force, and life remembered itself. In that sense the Force remembered itself because it wanted to, however the force didn't have a greedy nature, so that was unlikely. Eaon also wasn't sure if it was just Jedi who were expecting the force to show them away letting their own senses fool them when they entered a place where the Force existed. Eaon just didn't know, and the Master's always taught that, that was the way things were. Eaon though upon contimplating the subject just didn't know.
"You know, there's a theory that there is no dark or light side, that its about how we the Force Sensitives use our power that determines things. I find comfort in that." Eaon said, he had to vent his true feelings on the subject. Eaon hated the idea to be chained down and locked away to some hidden destiny. Eaon remained a Jedi of his own choosing, he chose to take up a life of poverty and humility, a life where one doesn't abuse their great power. A life where someone respects all life and defends it, a life without greed and of selflessness, and it was a hard life, but it was the one Eaon wanted. Eaon had no desire to gain unlimited power or control the Galaxy. Eaon didn't want to hurt, or abuse people. However in the Galaxy there were people who did, and people who liked to do so.
"If you reject all those things that make you who you are, then you cannot defeat someone who only thinks of themself." Eaon said raising from his meditative stance. "The reason the Jedi are adored and the Dark Jedi are rejected is we give up our greed, but the Dark Jedi follow an easier path and have no bounds nor lines to cross. If we deny who we are in the name of a code, then the code has failed its design." Eaon said looking to Lallane, a fire in his eyes. The Code was a way to live one's life. A guiding spirit to help people along the way, but Eaon believed that the Jedi had the code wrong. It was taught as away to live their lives, it dictated everything. As long as one could make people's lives better, Eaon believed the Code was designed to be the line in the sand that one with power shouldn't cross.
"But I assure you, with all my heart, and all my reason. I do not fight with my loss. When I fight I don't feel anger or sadness, or pity. I feel as if my road has become clear for a time and in honoring those who died so that I may live, I feel pride in knowing I can do what I can." Eaon said before watching Lallane as she received a message. Eaon didn't try to dive her again and invade her body or mind or spirit. He chose instead to just watch and wait calmly. Eaon could tell though as she read over the message, that things were changing, she'd been given a great gift.
"That is good news. You will make a fine Jedi, and even if you don't you will make a fine wife for some person somewhere in the galaxy." Eaon said teasingly as he looked over Lallane one more time. His mind couldn't have been further from such things as beauty or romance though. His thoughts ran again over their fight, every image, every clash, every movement, and every process. Like a super computer running numbers Eaon memorized everything that had happened and felt a warm, proud glow inside him. He'd done battle with someone who was to be a Knight, and he'd succeeded, at least in his eyes to survive a fight not many would have been able to .
Today is for you my Master. Today is for you. Eaon told himself as he couldn't help but feel a smile come over his face before he looked back to Lallane happily. This would be good for her, she was skilled, and would likely make a finer Jedi than many. It was just before then a thought crossed his mind and Eaon narrowed his eyes. An interesting thought crossed his head and he felt uneasy.
"Wait...that means. You could be my new Master, because my current Master, Battlemaster Saylis is absent from training. " Eaon couldn't imagine having to change his relationship with Lallane, true it would mean more spars and intellectual conversation. However he didn't want to start having to call her by "Master", at present Eaon hadn't even uttered her name, much less a title. "Regardless you will do well my young padawan." Eaon said jokingly as he reached forward and stretched, letting out a happy sigh.
