-Prologue- Peace At Last? It has been over three hundred years since the events surrounding the Mandalorian Wars, and the Jedi Civil War. Then, more than ever, the Galaxy, and the Republic governing it, were secure, though frail. This is mostly due to the fact that the Republic had, by this point, managed to subdue the two greatest threats facing it. 3653.BBY Fifty years prior to this date, the new leader of the Mandalorians launched one final assault on the Republic with the few clans he had gathered together. The attack was ill-planned, poorly executed, and was destined to fail. The inner-rim worlds chosen were easily defended and the Mandalorians expunged. To end the fighting once and for all, the Republic recognized the Mandalorian people as a nation, and wrote up a treaty, the Arasuum Treaty. Which, in an act that would earn him the name "The Betrayer", Mandalore signed it. This treaty stated that no world could be controlled by the Mandalorians and that no Mandalorian clan could number over a hundred. Thus, the Mandalorians were scattered, forced to live as Republic citizens, and were no longer any kind of power. Long ago, over a hundred years to be certain, though none knew for sure the exact date, the last practitioner of the Sith, the last Darth, died. This severely weakened the sith religion, as there was no leader. And, though the terror of the Sith Lords had long been forgotten, the word "Sith" has taken on a new meaning. A new Sith Empire, consisting of worlds and companies controlled by self-proclaimed "Sith Arisocrats", have chosen to leave the Republic and create a new empire in the expansion region of the outer rim. Where they could make their own laws. The Republic allowed them to continue their bid for power as the Sith Aristocrats had such great financial and political power, that their elimination would harm the Republic more than it would help it. The Republic thus considered the Sith a necessary evil. However, all that is necessary for antagonism to succeed is that protaganists do nothing… Whispers of Rebellion amongst the Mandalorians grew to a cry for vengence, and the Sith have attempted to annex worlds from the Republic. Those they could not buy, were taken by force… The Republic grew afraid that there was no way to avoid yet another war.

-Ch.1- The Hidden Conflict 3602.BBY The Sith Empire has made its move. The Mandalorians crusade to reclaim what is theirs. The Republic is losing its foothold in the Outer Rim. The year is 3602 BBY. It has been almost four centuries since the end of the Jedi Civil War and the galaxy has experienced a rocky but unbroken peace… until now. The term Sith is no longer synonymous to the evil lords of legend, but now refers to the new Sith Empire, a nation led by wealthy aristocrats who were no longer content under the Republic’s rule. They have successfully invaded Dantooine, Mygeeto, and Mon Calamari. Soon after the invasions, the Republic received another substantial hit with the assassination of the Supreme Chancellor. These are but a taste of the Republic’s growing problems. The Mandalorians have remained quiet for the last few centuries, but now they have united under a new Mandalore. They have already reclaimed Mandalore, Concord Dawn, and Shogun, whilst reforging their alliance with the natives of Togoria. It is only a matter of time before they exact their revenge. A new evil lurks in the shadow of the galaxy. The divided allegiances of Dark Jedi throughout have gathered under a new banner, a new leader, but an old title… the Sith Order. Korriban, ever a darkside nexus, holds the newly constructed Sith Academy. The Sith bide their time, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. Meanwhile the Jedi Order remains neither ignorant nor complacent of current events. The invasion of Dantooine, rumours of the Sith’s return, and the loss of a major Republic planet… the Jedi do not believe these are coincidences. However, the loss of two grand masters in a short duration and growing number of fallen Jedi is beginning to take its toll on the Order. The subject of war is one constantly disputed amongst every echelon of the Jedi Order. Though the Mandalorian wars were nearly 400 years ago, the decisions made by the Order then have not been forgotten. The newly elected Supreme Chancellor has declared war against the Sith Empire. Each passing day the Sith gather more planets to their cause. The Sith Order has finally made their intentions clear by forcefully taking the reins of the Sith Empire and assaulting the Jedi planet of Rhen Var. Whilst the Jedi Council have officially declared they will not go to war, some members of the Order have still gone to combat the threat posed by the Sith and the Mandalorians. The fragile peace that once held the galaxy together has finally been shattered, the question remains, what will happen next?

-Ch.2- Open War 3601.BBY With victories upon the Republic world of Yaga Minor and the Jedi temple at Rhen Var, the Sith Order ensured their presence in the galaxy was felt by many and known to all. As planets on the Outer Rim fall, an increasing number of systems align themselves with the growing power of the Sith Empire. Meanwhile, the Republic is forced to fall back and consolidate its remaining strength as the Empire looks to conquer Taris and break into the Mid Rim. Despite their decision to avoid the war, the Jedi Order led a campaign to cleanse the world of Subterrel of the dark side taint which had come to linger there. After uncovering a number of Sith, the two forces engaged one another until the Jedi managed to reclaim the vacated planet and return it to the Republic’s control. With the continued success of their campaign to reclaim their former territories, the Mandalorians have agreed to avoid hostilities with the Sith Empire. Rumours are beginning to surface that talks are underway between these two factions to further their relationship. At the same time, the growing Mandalorian forces have set their eyes upon Ordo as their next target. When the invasion came, the Republic forces on Ordo were unprepared for the combined forces of the Mandalorians and the Sith and the planet fell. The decleration of their alliance signified by this battle did not go unnoticed by the Jedi Blades. Despite ignoring the High Council's wishes and getting involved in the war, they had previously avoided the Mandalorians, seeing only the Sith as the threat. But now that the two forces were co-operating, they would need to reaccess their position. The once miniscule forces of the Sith Empire had previously claimed territory through financial and social pressure, diplomacy and surprise attacks. But with their growing military they launched an invasion upon the world of Thila, where a major Republic base had been built. They overcame the defences of the mountain fortress and bested the tactics of a renowned Republic general in order to claim the planet and open up access to more territories in the Outer Rim. Expeditions and plots orchastrated by members of the Sith Order have cemented their place in galactic events. Members succeeding in securing alliances with the Gossam on Felucia and convincing the worlds of Troiken and Makem Te to turn from the Republic. In doing so, they set a trap for the Senators and leaders of the Jedi Blades that had been touring the Outer Rim as part of a diplomatic convoy. Whilst many of the Senators escaped with the help of the Blades and the fast response of nearby Republic forces, there were still some captured by the Sith forces. 3600.BBY Now with their forces fighting two enemies, the Republic had to take action by any means that they could. Acting upon information they were provided, the Jedi Lord commanding the Republic forces orchastrated an ambush upon the leader of the Mandalorians shortly after their victory at Ordo. Despite being severly outnumbered and outgunned by the Republic fleet, Mandalore the Liberator refused to surrender, instead attacking the fleet, ultimately resulting in his death. Hoping that the fall of their leader would cause the Mandalorian forces to break apart, the Republic were surprised when a new leader came forward called Mandalore the Reclaimer. She has already started preparing to free those Mandalorian worlds that remain under Republic control. And with the defences at Thila gone, the Republic's front line is pushed ever closer to Taris and the Mid Rim territories that lay beyond it. Map Thread: Here
