Donnie cocked an eyebrow and put her feet up on the table and closing her eyes while leaning back in the chair.
Whatever was going on, she was outside of it, thankfully.
The ship was in order, all the upgrades were working, the hyperdrive was holding it's 4.5 rating, things were peachy. Donnie opened up her bag and rooted around in it for a moment, looking for her bottle of booze she'd brought. After a minute or two, she found it, empty.
Vhy ess eet alvays 'one....
Doneeda did this from time to time, taking a moment to "get her bearings". Truth be told, she didn't like what she saw. In the past 6 months, she'd gone from being happy on Corellia, to being on the fringes of the galaxy with a bunch of misfit Sith. It really wasn't her company, per se, but the fact there was no opportunity for profit.
At all.
She'd been repairing speeders, swoops, and all sorts of military equipment their incompetent techs continually messed up. It wasn't surprising they weren't winning the war against the republic, at least to her. With the infighting, bickering, and, most of all, lack of competent support staff, it made sense.
A bright, big, oddly neon blue, light bulb went off in Donnie's pretty head. She was getting the wrong end of the stick. No pay, no lay, and complete boredom was becoming so monotonous that she couldn't abide it any more.
The most interesting thing she'd done in the past 3 months was working on the Bucket. That paled in comparison to her usual antics.
* CRASH *
Va' da fa...
She mused, returning to a better posture to listen better. She surmised it'd come from the cargo hold.
Be'che eet ou'
Donnie mused, as Dov walked in. Donnie cracked an eye and looked at him, opening both once he sat down.
Me neithar, Murkhana a'leas. I 'scape from tatooine ven I was a ki'. Cha arn' missn' much, lotsa san'an Jawas.
She watched his holo. It was...disturbing.
Charmin' Dov...Reeeal charmin...cha sho da tah all da girls yah like?
She said jokingly. Dov sure had a way with women, she thought to her self sarcastically.
Ha'ta kut dis shor', but I thin I shoul go chek out vat da krash vas.
She said with a smirk, getting up and heading to the cargo bay. After a few seconds, she was descending the stairs to see that Var had knocked over the container with the old Sensor array in it. A still valuable, perfectly working, if old, sensor array.
Which was now resting on it's side. With a noticeable dent in the side of it's container.
Donnie crossed her arms and frowned, looking at Var angrily.
Serious? Choo'too has a 'overz-quarel an' a perfly goo' senso-ray da woul' ged go' kredtz enz up like dis?
She said, walking towards the container in a huff and grabbing an edge to lift it back up.
Vel, c'mon, cha knok eet ovah, ged ovah 'ere an 'elp!
She said, her pronunciation slipping in her frustration.

Var stood still for a moment, staring and trying to piece together what Donnie had just babbled incomprehensibly. She ran over it twice in her head before it made sense.
And when it sunk in, she didn't react well.
"Lover's quarrel?" She repeated angrily. "Lover's quarrel? I wouldn't touch that thing with a ten foot pole, least of all sleep with him like you did. I at least have standards. And you know what? I couldn't care less about your sensor array you interstellar harlot. Pick it up yourself, I have bigger problems to worry about." She glowered her at the other Twi'lek as she leaned against the bulkhead.
"And you sound like a complete koochoo. We both speak Huttese, so don't drivel at me in a language you can't even speak. That way you won't waste my time."
Var crossed her arms and stood stock still, a slight twitch in her lekku now the only external sign of just how seething she still was inside. Well, that and her fiery eyes. They'd burned away the icy coldness now, and it was the more familiar brand of 'Var rage.'

Donnie huffed in exasperation. The array would have brought a few hundred credits, something she'd have welcomed in the monetary desert she'd been occupying for the past months. She stood up, and put her hands on her hips, and looked to her right. The container with the shield generator was still safe, and it was worth more than the sensor pallet.
She removed her hands from her hips and cradled her head in her right palm for a moment.
Doneeda realized she'd slipped into Basic in her anger. She wasn't one who was quick to anger, but this pushed her over the edge...probably because of her hopes for some cash...or because of the disturbance of her calm. Either way, she'd gone over the top.
Think, THINK before you speak, c'mon woman...
She thought to herself.
Donnie removed her hand from her forehead and took a deep breath, chosing to not bother engaging Var on this one, it wasn't worth it.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, speaking calmly in huttese.
Ok...I'm going to glass over this...Just go upstairs, and I'll sort this out.
She said, gesturing towards the stairs with her closest arm, opening her eyes, noting Var was still there.
Please.
She added.

"Since when do I take orders from you?" Var said in her most sardonic voice, remaining firmly against the bulkhead.
"Besides, I'm staying as far away from that sleemo pedunky as I can get on this bucket of bolts."
She stared off to the side and laughed bitterly. Sensing some explanation for it was in order she shot a glance at Donnie as she detailed the morbid amusement of her situation.
"Here I am, stuck between a seven foot tall walking pile of poodoo who tried to break into my mind, and you. The wandering woman of ill repute."
She placed her back against the wall and sank to the ground, sitting with her legs extended out in front of her. It was very clear she had no intention of leaving.

Donnie's hands and leeku sunk in exasperated defeat. She added this to her long list of reasons for disliking her current situation. Var threw tantrums, Dov was...well Dov. Donnie had to wonder, though, why Var was so...hot and cold.
One moment, she was half decent, the next, she was, well, Var.
Doneeda shook her head took off her jacket and tossed it towards an open spot in the bay, as she walked over to the nearby wall where she'd stowed the crane. It was mounted between a pair of A-frames with wheels on the bottom and the crane in between, she'd use it to pull the container back upright, and then remove the cover to inspect it.
She pulled it out and laid it's parts out in the floor.
Fine...do whatcha...wwwwaaaant
She said in huttese, lifting a particularly heavy looking component, and dropping it on the floor. Donnie was used to lifting heavy loads, and was a good deal stronger than most females. She wasn't paying attention to what she was lifting, but to the observers her musculature would have been somewhat more obvious than usual while she worked.
The rest of usssss wwwwiiiill just - CLANK -
Donnie paused and looked at var for a moment, turning her back to her and rolling her top up to just below her breasts, exposing her midsection to help cool her off. Then continuing
Clean up your messes...aaaaannd
She lifted the left side aframe with her right shoulder, grasping it's crossbrace with her hand for support.
leave yah - CLANK -
She stopped for a second, wiping the sweat that was forming on her brow with the back of her hand, then turning back toward the wall, back to var once again.
Alone.
She said, grabbing the final and heaviest piece, the crane motor and mount with both hands and lifting with her legs, then finishing by bringing her arms to 90* and holding it in front of her midsection.
Youu caan't jusst do thiis sort of craaap and expect usss - CLANK -
The motor hit the ground faster than the Twi'lek wanted. Doneeda went about assembling the unit at this point.
Tooo...c'mon you mother...
She said as she dragged the left side Aframe over and put it on it's side, engaging the maglock to the crossbrace with the motor on it. She knee-walked over to the other side, facing var.
go around and...get over here...
She put the right side Aframe on it's side, and lined it's maglock up with the one on the crossbrace.
Stupid...mother...sonofa...c'mon you monkey loving...sonofa... -CLICK-
Donneeda stood up and knelt down, grasping the crossbrace and lifting with all her might, eventually getting it to waist height and managing to get under it to use her legs to push it the rest of the way up onto it's wheels with a dull thud.
Work together as a team.
She continued, getting to the side of the device and pushing it towards the overturned container.
I get it. Your pissed at him. All I'mmmmm asssskkkiiinnnggggg...
Donnie said as she pushed the crane.
Is that you take a moment to think before you start beating up equipment. You wouldn't do that to your saber, and I feel the same way about this ship as you do about your weapon. It's important to me, it represents something for me. I don't care if you don't get the metaphor, but this.
Donnie said, turning towards Var, and gesturing with her arms to the ship that surrounded them.
Is all I have.
Turned back to the crane and lowered the straps to lift the container.
So fine, get mad, call us names, but at the end of the day you end up looking worse than any of us do.
She said, as the cranes motor filled the room with it's noise and the crate slowly broke it's earthly bonds and rose back to it's correct orientation.
There.
Donnie said, as she turned around to face Var.
Is this making sense, or am I talking to a wall?
Donnie said crossing her arms, Var's silence was becoming deafening.

"And this," Var gestured to herself, "is all that I have. I don't even have a single credit to my name anymore. I just gave them all to you up there. The only thing that keeps me going now is getting to Tatooine. Even if I felt like sharing why, you wouldn't understand. Try living my life before you judge me Doneeda. I gave up caring how I looked years ago. No one understands, and no one cares."
Var pulled her legs in and brought her knees in to her chest. She rested her arms on them and looked surprisingly small. Without a doubt she wasn't the intimidating and fiery Sith she'd been a few minutes ago. The change was simply having someone who wasn't a force user simply talking with her.
"In fact, if I don't look this way, people will trivialize me. Without being who I am, without everything it is you hate, I'm nothing."
She lapsed into silence, simultaneously wondering if she'd said too much or too little. Maybe even both.

If donnie had eyebrows...and a hairline...they'd be in the same place.
Var was being...normal. Donnie uncrossed her arms and realized her mouth was hanging open. The 180* change in var was noticeable. It was hard to believe the small figure sitting dejectedly across the cargo bay was the same girl who a few minutes ago was knocking down fairly massive containers.
Hey...
She started in Huttese, looking down and seeing black and cleavage instead of feet, and frowning momentarily and looking off to the side. Donnie was in uncharted territory at this point. She thought for a moment, and strode across the bay, sitting down beside Var.
You aren't your armor, or your pants...or even these.
Donnie said gently, grabbing her own breasts momentarily.
I donno if the Sith respect this sort of thing, but people generally will respect you more if your you. You may have to fight for it, tooth and nail, but never, ever, loose who you are. You have to live with yourself at the end of all...this..
Donnie said, gesturing to nothing in particular, trying to convey life.
The greatest crimes in this universe are committed by us, to ourselves. I don't know why your so entranced with Tatooine, but whoever or whatever your after won't be gone when you do whatever it is you feel you need to do. Carrying hate and malice around is a heavy burden. The crime of it, is that it's a choice. I know it may seem like you can't shake whatever happened, but if you have to fight every day to overcome what happened. Every moment you are you, and not the prickly, cold woman you were up until now, your free of whatever it was that happened.
Donnie explained gently. She wasn't sure if Var would get it, or if she was the kind of person to be interested, but she tried to convey her sense of caring and inclination to help.

"I'll never be free of what happened." Var's voice wavered as she thought back to her childhood, her eyes staring straight through Donnie and out the other side. It was a thousand yard stare that just happened to be in Donnie's direction, one that revealed a strange mournful depth in her vivid green eyes.
For a brief moment the blowing sands of Tatooine coalesced before her eyes, and the cargo bay vanished. She was alone, face to face with a little cream colored Twi'lek girl clad in tattered rags. Her bony shoulders protruded from under her garments, and bruises adorned her face. But the eyes were the same ones staring at Donnie.
Var was a lot more complicated than anyone suspected.
She shook her head from side to side as if convincing herself of something. "That hate and malice you tell me to get rid of are exactly what give me power. I am my passions. They give me power, and they set me free."
She still seemed very sad, but Var was beginning to recover her emotional strength. It showed in the tone of her voice, it had become controlled again.
"Maybe in some other life I could have given them up. But I gave my life to the Dark Side when I quit the Jedi Order. I made my decision already."

Donnie slowly nodded as var finished.
It was pretty obvious that she wasn't ready, or able, to help herself, much less anybody else. Her advice had fallen on deaf ears. Or, perhaps had been heard, and decided against.
Donnie thought for a second before speaking.
So your...here by choice after all...
Donnie said, thinking.
It was obvious that Var had been through something. What was the question, and Doneeda knew enough to not bother asking.
Trust me, there's a lot more to life than being good, and a lot better reasons to be bad than to simply not be good.
Donnie said, getting up.
If you wanna talk, you know where to find me...until then, I've got a ship to fly and parts-
Donnie motioned to the container.
- to repair.

Var closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She let it out again, and her eyes flickered open to reveal her usual calm, collected, and rather steely gaze. The hurt little girl had disappeared again, leaving 'typical Var' behind.
"I don't want to talk about it. And if you breathe a word of this to the others I'll personally ensure you have a quick and painful death."
The Twi'lek Sith Initiate rose to her feet and was once again the very image of quiet arrogance and disdain for everyone and everything. "Now get out of my way."
She shoved past Donnie and clambered up the stairs, heading for her bunk.

Doneeda shrugged as Var past, and watched as she ascended the stairs to the upper deck.
At least she knew where they stood.
She thought, going about getting the cover off the container. Var continued to be an enigma.
After a few minutes, the sensor array was out of it's box, and it was becoming obvious to the Twi'lek that it was pretty much thrashed. If it was still part of the ship, and worth fixing, Donnie would have had no trouble investing the time to fix it.
This wasn't the case.
It was going to be sold off anyways, at this point, it was worth 50 Credits in scrap. Donnie tossed the wrench back into the tool chest in the wall with a loud - CLANG -.
After a minute or two, she was back in the kitchen, pleased to see Dov for once. She walked over toward the sink, and turned it on, putting soap on her hands and forearms that were at this point covered in grease and oil.
So, vatcha' doin, Dov? Steel watchin' dat holo'thing?
She said over her shoulder, realizing she hadn't pulled her shirt back down to cover her midsection.

Doviculous watched as Donnie entered and crossed the galley, seemingly oblivious to the fact that her shirt was rolled up nearly revealing her breasts. How forgetful of one He pointed to her shirt, then turned back to the table chuckling. He shoved the holodisk back into his trenchcoat, and waited till Donnie decided to take a seat, then started speaking. So... How about Var? From my understanding she has something important tied to tatooine, and I have a feeling the necklace isn't even there... He leaned back a bit, gathering his thoughts to continue. I believe she is leading us on this goosechase just to get to that planet, not for the necklace. When she found out I was probing her mind she threw a hissy fit and broke something
He moved in closer to the table, I feel she's unstable, perhaps not in the right mind for this. Perhaps we could just...leave her at Murkhana, and head back to the temple? It's pointless to continue this journey to nothing He scratched his chin, and then replied Or perhaps the necklace is there, perhaps I'm wrong, maybe she has found a lead, or maybe not, what do you think Donnie? He once again moved in closer, awaiting Donnie's answer.

Donnie dried her hands, and rolled her shirt back down, then circled the table and sat down, listening to Dov.
Donnie wasn't entirely sure about what to say...on one hand, she could spill what she knew, and if it got back to Var, she'd die a slow and painful death. Not something she wanted. Or, she could tell Dov, and they could leave her back on Murkhana. If they left her on Murkhana, then she couldn't kill Donnie.
Donnie smirked.
Vell...I thin' I's the pilot. An' as da pilot, eff she decidez to get agrezzve, cho can' remember my value...
She said with a sly grin, hoping Dov got her drift.
Bu, I do agree, ze girl's got somethin' else goin' on. I donno wha', bu down inda cargo bay, she wa' mess. Kurled into a lil' ball an talkin'bout ' how 'ard er life waz...
Donnie stopped, and collected her thoughts.
Te' girl's a danger 'less she geds whatevah iz enn 'er system out. I donno eff I'd truss 'er on tatooine not knowing her planz...
Donnie finished, leaning back in her chair .

Doviculous smiled, at least they both were on the same level, if Var gets a bit more aggressive as Donnie put it, then they would ditch Var's ass on Murkhana. Good, it's decided then! If you excuse me, I think I'll head to the cockpit, settle down in the copilot seat, and watch the stars or something.. He bid Donnie farewell and walked down the hallway towards the cockpit. Once inside he slipped into the copilot seat and stared up through the viewport, watching the stars. He brought out another holo-device and flipped it on, this time showing various mugshots of people he was after, or who he had already killed. Zodon was already crossed out, as well as Brauner, a Zabrak dark Jedi he fought before Zodon. He still knew two more he needed to kill, one was the Togruta Cartuga-Ih, the other was Brauner's brother, Orlox.
He thought to himself, perhaps he'd find some leads on Murkhana. Perhaps, he'd finish his revenge on the Burning Order. But, those were ideas for another day, so he deactivated the disk, and continued to watch the stars.

OOC: Imma do this poast, then move things over to Murkhana
Donnie watched Dov leave then took a look at her chrono, it was late. Later than she thought. She shrugged. If she had a shower and went to bed, they'd be at Murkhana a little after she woke up. The Twi'lek got up, and pushed her chair in, and looked over the kitchen, making sure there weren't any glairing messes to be cleaned up.
Satisfied, she flipped the lights off, and headed for the shower.
After about a half hour, Donnie dried herself off and put her shirt and underwear back on. She poked her head out of the bathroom. Dov was still in the cockpit, not looking her way, and her quarters were right across the hall. She was being careful because she wasn't wearing her bra, nor pants. Donnie intended to go straight to bed.
She gathered her things, and walked over to the quarters, opening the door and noticing Var sleeping on the bottom bunk, didn't turn the lights on. She tossed her clothes onto the desk beside the bunks, and closed the door, then quietly climbed up to the top bunk and got into her bed.
