Yuddrathi fell face first into a floor that probably hadn't been cleaned since the Empire had formed. The PO's face slamming into the flooring made Horst adopt a mad smirk.
"First rule of Spec Ops Yuddrathi. What comes around goes around."
Yu apparently thought so too, because as he slammed into the bottom of the bar he was already kicking and wriggling about trying to get back on his feet. The crowd's cheers at Horst's injury were quickly displaced by sounds of compassionate pain. Horst ignored them.
Horst didn't bother to follow his trainee down. He might have been angry, but he got no satisfaction from simply pinning the kid down and wailing on him. The engineer instead rubbed his face a little, waiting for Yu to raise himself up just enough.
"Second rule of Spec Ops. Don't go toe-to-toe with a larger force!" Horst reached out to grab the rising Yuddrathi by the back of his shirt with both hands. The engineer stepped alongside the PO as well, hoping to grab the smartmouth and send him flying into the nearest solid object.

Half-expecting another blow, Yu gathered himself from a filthy floor. He already felt sick from the sheer smell of it. When was the last time it had been cleaned? Thankfully, the young petty officer was too busy to consider the most probable answer – never. Once getting up on his feet, everyone could see flares of cold fury burning in his eyes. He didn't reply anything to the patronizing remark but muscles of his jaw twitched visibly. The near-human curses loudly in Corellian.
If the Major wanted he could have already beat Yu to the pulp but it didn't do much to lessen his anger. It was even more insulting, as if the older man was playing the cat&mouse game. Sivan's additional membranes flickered, switching his vision to UV, making use of low light conditions for his advantage. Even thought he would have to pay for it with a gigantic headache later.
The crowd was cheering again, general mirth swallowing the entire bar. Even the bartender seemed less bored. Yu couldn't properly stand up when he was grabbed by his shirt and thrown back just in time recovering some semblance of balance, letting him to avoid a battered jukebox. Immediately Yu used his speed to dash, grabbing a metal tray along the way and trying to slam it hard onto the side of the CO's head.

Horst couldn't hear the crowd as his ear began to ring like a bell. The thin metal tray managed to lodge itself into the side of his head. The tray was pretty solid, but it's lack of thickness betrayed its structure, causing it to bend along the Major's skull a little. As such, a nice impression of Horst's head's side could be seen somewhat oddly on the tray. It almost looked like a big, crooked metal coin with Horst's bust poorly imprinted on the side.
Horst wasted no time in wallowing in pain. If there was one thing they taught you in Spec Ops, it was to endure the pain and move on before your opponent could do anything else. The engineer immediately brought a hand up and tried to grab Yu's throat, the fingers lacking any and all control, instead searching only to latch on to their target and squeeze. Horst did his best to see despite the tray still being on his shoulder, and with his other arm he drew up a fist, going for a nice solid knock to the Petty Officer's face if he could grab his throat.

That was too easy...Yu recovered some of his shattered confidence when the tray slammed into the Major's head with a loud yank!. Smiling in a predatory manner, showing his long fangs, Yu prepared to throw another punch when yet again Stellar surprised him with how quickly he could gather his wits after the blow.
The hand went flying toward him and Sivan's eyes widened. He jumped away, quick enough to avoid it closing on his throat but not enough to miss it completely. Large fist closed a front of his black t-shirt and the world around him exploded. The pain was overwhelming, radiating from the side of his nose and cheek. Metallic taste of blood caused the young near-human to choke.
The tray fell on the floor and so did Yu. This guy had a punch...His vision immediately switched to normal as pain in Yu's head became unbearable. The petty officer was still young, coming form the Navy didn't really prepare him for outstanding amount of pain and it would still take some time for Sivan to learn how to get over it quickly. For now he just spit a clot of blood on the ground, feeling a wave of nausea rolling over him.
”Ugh..” He groaned wondering if he would pass out in a moment. He knew Stellar was huge but never before a single punch had put him out of the commission so badly. Yu raised his shaking hand into the air. ”Let's take a break.” The near-human mumbled through bloody lips and tried to pull himself up, bleeding profusely from ruptured blood vessels in his nose.

Horst felt a wave of satisfaction roll through him as his punch connected with Yu's torso. The cocky sniper immediately fell to the floor looking like he had just been hit with a speeder.
Horst took a minute, both to revel in his accomplishment and consider what to do next. He had already established that he wasn't about to beat this kid when he was on the floor; this was supposed to be a fight, not a massacre. Beyond that, Horst's rage had been acquiesced enough by that one, solid hit for him to resume thinking clearly. By the looks of things, this kid had taken some hits. Horst could feel a welt forming on the side of his head and a few bruises, meaning he hadn't escaped the consequences of their bar brawl either.
The crowd, meanwhile, was still buzzing about excitedly, waiting to see who what do what and how and where. Horst didn't especially mind their apparent joy over the fight, but he didn't really approve either. This was a personal matter between him and Yuddrathi, and it wasn't being done just so they could cheer drunkenly and bet away all of their credits.
Yuddrathi made a noise Horst could identify as just sheer ache and soreness. The engineer didn't like to toot his own horn, but if that punch had brought upon any lesser amount of pain, he might have been a little disappointed in himself. Yu exhibited an exhausted manner before suggesting, "Let's take a break."
The crowd immediately resumed their uproar, with some cursing at Yuddrathi for costing them their bets, others yelling at Horst to stomp on him. Horst once again ignored them; this wasn't a side show.
"Agreed." The crowd slowly died down, some drunks leaving immediately at the sight of the fight ending, others hanging around hoping something would re-provoke the death match. Horst walked a few steps and dropped down next to the Petty Officer, crunching something underneath him as he collapsed onto the floor in a sitting position. For a moment, the engineer considered that Yu was simply trying to get the edge on him in order to continue the fight, but between the PO's apparent pain and obvious inferiority in skill, Horst decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Horst rubbed his head, trying to pat down the welt now sufficiently popping out of the side of his skull. That tray was more solid than I thought. Horst noted the cookware laying on the floor a few meters away. The Major's imprint was still vaguely discernible in the tray, causing Horst to chuckle softly, trying not to move too much so as to comfort his swelling bump.
Horst raised a finger, pointing over to the tray. "There's a souvenir for ya'."

The crowd's uproar only made Yu's head to ache more. Idiots, If I was them I wouldn't bet on me. The young near-human snorted under his breath, spitting some blood along with it. Throbbing in the front of his skull from suing UV vision only added to the overall suffering. He could feel bleeding already stopping slightly when the injury began to slowly mend. The petty officer shifted his body but didn't stand up, instead pressing his back against the cold wall. He looked up, expecting to be at least spat on by the veteran but nothing like that happened. The mountain of a man sat down, causing a rush of air to whisked his cheek. The swelling was still there and Yu winced, hoping in the next hour this one will be gone too. Yu swallowed, feeling slightly nauseous from the punch. Damn, that hit hard. Still, the half-Firrerreo managed a short laugh at the mangled tray. The impression of Stellar's head was nicely visible in the rather solid metal. ”Maybe I can claim it is a piece of modern art and make millions.” He said with a sly green. Despite all that he did indeed feel a bit better. The general low mood was still present but at least uncomfortable tension in muscles went away, if only to be replaced by physical pain. The crowd now vanished, leaving only few last marauders in the bar. The bartender went back to being bored background to equally boring music [/url]. ”You think I will have to pay for that tray?” Yu asked, forgetting now utterly about any sir's. The bartender didn't seem to be distressed about it, though. Yu was about to add something more when his comm beeped, signaling a message. He raised his dark eyebrows and scooped out the small device. Maybe it a friend got drunk and lonely, it happened. Pink powder glow of the tool gave Sivan's golden skin a sickly greenish hue that only amplified the expression of anger that marred his features. ”I hate this planet.” Yu cursed in Corellian and put away the comm but his hands began to tremble so it fell into a puddle of spilled beer.

((Pardon the brevity, but lately I've been suffering from "Museitis"))
Horst tried his best to keep from laughing as Sivan cracked a joke at the disfigured piece of metal. The first few yups escaped without control, but the pain now solidified on the engineer's head immediately shut him down, causing him to instead settle for smiling and raising a hand up to his ear to help subdue the ringing. Yu asked something at that point, between the ringing in his ear and the hand covering it, Horst had only heard it as a collection of odd grumbles. The engineer turned his head, facing the PO, in hopes of being able to use his other ear, giving the impression he was looking at his subordinate rather intensely.
"I hate this planet." The PO had looked at his comm and cursed in a way that instantly made Horst think back to Pat and Rorry on Coreilla. The tone he used wasn't the playful cursing like his adopted family would use over dinner; no, this was the traditional tone of dissatisfaction and annoyance, like Rorry would use after spraining his leg trying to reach too far into a repulsor emmiter.
"No love for Ruan?"

The comm looked pretty bad, dipped in beer and Force only knew what else . Yu's face expressed utter disgust as the young soldier wiped the liquid away with some forgotten tissue he dug out from his pocket. The device was working though so not much was lost. The rhetoric question made Sivan to turn his head and look at Stellar.
The boy just shook his head and smiled, slightly exposing his sharp teeth. ”I was born here...And raised.” The petty officer started as was trying very hard to explain himself from some kind of a mistake. ”I am supposed to have a family here but my mother wrote me not to show up.” He let out a heavy sigh which caused another wave of pain and Yu winced. ”I guess no home cooked dinner for me today.” The near-human added with a shrug, hiding any emotional impact it may have had on him.
”Doesn't really matter, we never had good relationship anyway.” The headache grew worse and Yu rubbed his eyes, trying to chase it away. A mixture of stress, alcohol and physical weariness was getting to him thought Sivan was far from admitting it.
”What about you? Any family? He asked suddenly, trying to steer the topic away from his own troubles.

"I've got my brothers-in-arms. Beyond that? Nothing." Horst's face softened, thinking back to his childhood. It had never been easy to wander the streets for any one, but it was worse when you weren't even old enough to read. The Coruscant alleys and levels were still haunting memories; a pleasant reminder of a not-so-pleasant life. Horst thanked his lucky stars Rorry had taken him in, because he shuttered at the thought of what would have happened had the older mechanic not.
"Take from someone who had to wander the streets as an orphan; you're damn lucky to have a family." The smuggler's voice intensified a little. "Even if they suck."
Horst took a minute to calm down. Between the adrenaline still pumping in his blood stream, the rage of battle still lingering in his mind, and the smell of alcohol still lingering on his breath, Horst had become a little emotional. The engineer took a breath.
Easy now.
"You don't sound like you were raised here. I'd know that Corellian accent even if I was deaf."

Silence settled over the bar more, broken only by the soft whirring clicks of a service droid. Even jukebox gave out. Yu didn't really know how to comment on the major's loneliness. There was sadness ringing in his voice and it made Sivan very uncomfortable, as his own attitude about unimportance of the family was some kind of defense.
”I am not sure I have any now.” A pang of anger began to gnaw at Yu after the major's words. ”My mother doesn't want me and father never cared, seems to me we are on the same boat.” He grunted and pulled his leg closer to rest his chin on it. With adrenaline gone from his system, pain was becoming more clear and annoying.
The young soldier chuckled at the Stellar's question but winced immediately from increasing discomfort. ”You have no idea how often I hear that. My mother and grandmother who raised me were Corellians. It was the language I knew as first. Father tried to teach me Firrerrese but I never liked it.” He shrugged..
”How do you know Corellian accent?” Sivan asked suddenly. Stellar didn't look Corellian then again, neither did he look like one.

Horst couldn't help but feel a little bad for poor Sivan. He had meant what he had said about having a family in the first place, but between the sheer stress with which Sivan spoke about it and imagining what it would be like to have a family you couldn't actually be close to, Horst frowned.
Luckily, Yuddrathi seemed to find the engineer's question rather humorous, and the mood immediately lightened up. He explained quickly; his mother had taught him, and he had liked it better than the Firrerrese his father had tried to spread. Horst had personally never heard Firrerrese, but in his honest opinion, few dialects had quite as much distinction or character in the galaxy as Corellian.
Sivan than gave a question of his own. "I spent a good portion of my young life on Corellia," Horst responded, smiling again. If there was any part of his life he cherished, it was his teenage days running around Corellia, sleeping at Pat's tenement, working the shop with Rorry, heading off to school (a new experience that he never quite became completely in sync with), and generally doing what teenage boys do (in other words, drooling over the female youths).
"See, I was born on Coruscant, down in the Works. Nasty place, avoid it if you can. From there, I met a guy, and to put it in the form of a few words, he saved my life. We ended up having to move to Corellia, and after a good decade or so there, I'd like to think I'm at least part Corellian." Horst chuckled, "I never got the accent though."
After a moment, Horst tried to piece it all together. "So you're a Firrerreo-Human with a Corellian accent from Ruan..." The engineer chuckled softly again, trying not to aggravate his injury. "I bet that one gets the ladies every time."

He listened Stellar's story with curiosity mixed with disbelief. That was some kind of life he had. ”My grandmother took me to Corellia few times. I remember the large spaceports.” He smiled at the memory and turned to the major. ”I don't go to Coruscant often...it's...noisy. Better you exchanged it for Corellia.” Yu couldn't really tell what was wrong with the Galaxy capital but it never spoke to him. Everything moved fast there and he wouldn't mind but the certain...humanocentrism was bothersome. Corellians seemed much more open and accepting.
”Haha! I wish.” Sivan laughed out and immediately regretted it when pain crept into his jaw. ”I actually never...I mean....” Yu blinked, scratching his head. ”I did...didn't say that.” Sivan blushed feverishly, realizing how pathetic piece of information he had betrayed and the chat took very awkward turn.
”I mean...I didn't really have time for such things, just...training and school.” Sivan tried very hard not to admit he was just too shy to get anything done. The more forward women scared him and he was too scared to ask the less open ones.
Not really sure what to say more, his eyes trailed off to the bar and precious alcohol that could wash away the feeling of shame. ”I think I could use another drink.” Yu muttered, feeling that majority of his wounds already healed.

Sivan detailed his own experiences on Corellia, and Horst smiled. That was one of the things he loved about his home; it was the sort of place you couldn't hate. The people were decent folks, the culture was rich and open, and the entire mood of the planet, be you scum or scholar, was the same; simple.
Unlike Coruscant. Horst was inclined to agree with Yuddrathi about his birthplace; the entire planet was, well...
"Coruscant's like a burnt cake someone's covered with frosting. It looks great at first, but as you start eating it, you realize just how crappy it is."
Sivan also seemed a little taken back by Horst's comment about woman. The PO fiddled and stumbled over his own words like they were stones; a display Horst could understand. It wasn't like you joined the service for the love life it brought. Most guys in Horst's unit hadn't so much as hugged a member of the opposite sex since their enlistment, with the ones who had being the... less-savory fella's that tended to drift toward brothels whenever one was near.
"Ahhh, don't worry kid. You're not alone when it comes to that particular issue." Horst looked off for a moment, considering his own awful track record. The only woman he had really ever held close to him was Glaudia back in high school, and they had split like a banana when she moved to Alderaan. Beyond that? There might have been the occasional one-night stand, but nothing too serious.
"I think I could go for a refill too."

It was comforting actually. To hear he hadn't been the biggest loser in the Galaxy. Soldier's life didn't help romantic relationships and Yu had no interest in careless flings. They scared him off..somehow. Especially brothels. The near-human always believed them to be a disease ridden money siphon. At least him and Stellar were on the same page...Hopefully.
Suddenly very fond of his CO, Sivan stood up and strolled over to the bar from where he scooped few glasses, already filled with good quality booze. He sat down on the floor as if the two had forgotten the chairs existed in this universe and uncorked a bottle to have a refill. Just in case.
Not much Yu remembered from that evening aside from the fact Stellar was a nice buddy, for a CO that was...He would puke like a sick cat, occupying the hotel bathroom for the longest but didn't regret a single glass emptied. That had been a good leave...Though he dreaded the next training with Stellar, but maybe he would be forgiven next smart as* remark. Nah. Not really.
