Link to sign up thread : Clicky! So as many of you probably guessed, this ends with a crushing Mandalorian victory. This is to set the stage for the big push to the capitol building in The Sacking of Gargon. The only thing planned, is a high ranking Republic soldier will gather any Jedi volunteers and a platoon of soldiers to take the fight to the Mandalorians in the street. Otherwise what you want to do, is up for ya'll to discuss! So... discuss! One thing that the Dutch and I discussed was the idea of the Mandalorians advancing well until they come upon this group sent against them at a point where the streets they're using to advance are blocked by some giant gate/checkpoint/obstruction of some sort. So they kinda stall out while they fight these people and try to find a new way around/through/whatever.
One aspect that could be interesting is that the only way to continue to advance would be to move into an adjoining area that is more residential. This would mean more civilian casualties. Now, I don't know about for the other characters, but that might be a bit hard on Ari, which I think would be fun to write.
Any other ideas?

[Suggestion: could we maybe list the participants in the opening post of the discussion threads as well, so we don't have to keep referencing the sign-up thread? Okay, thanks. ] Since Ambria will have already been on Gargon before the full invasion begins, I'm just wondering whether you want her to, like, greet people, give some intel or whatever, or just join in whenever she makes it over there. Or something. -- P.S. Along with this goes whether or not you'd want her somehow involved in the main Sacking of Gargon thread. I realize that one is chronologically after this one. But just tossing that out there... since she was on planet before everyone else. -- PPS: I'll probably be adding a couple NPCs that are with Ambria... Mandos she met on her first time on Gargon to train up hidden cells, and connected with again when she came to take down the listening post. (Threads that were never finished but are nonetheless part of her backstory now). NPCs: - Layek Turkel - human male - sharpshooter - Melyska - S'kytri female - aerial attacks/some demolitions As for setting/particular locations, I'm game for anything. If there is something she can use her sniper rifle for, all the better... but I understand if there are unlikely scenarios in this particular situation, lol.

Well by the time the thread starts, the battle will be in its infant stages. Just have Ambria join the carnage yo. It's a massive city wide street warfare extravaganza, plenty of opportunity to use a sniper rifle lol

Well, I had been hoping she could have some kind of more important role than just that, because of what she had been doing already, and already being there.
But I guess since everything will have started, I understand that might have happened already, so I'll just roll with whatever. Disappear into the background where she always seems to end up in these kinds of threads.

Well as a sniper, isn't that what she'd like? To be hidden in the background?
She did have an important role, helped give the Mandalorians the ability to storm the city without any detection. Now that they've done so, the most important thing all Mandalorians on Gargon can do is kill 'pubs and capture children to bolster their future ranks.
This is meant to be more like the classic Mandalorian raids, with Clan Leaders leading their clans into battle. I don't know much about Ambria's clan, what they specialize in, what they have to offer, etc.
Things like that would help set up for specific things her clan would be doing. Maybe that helps?

I guess so. I just wish I had been able to RP it out. Because without actually writing it all out, it just seems like an afterthought. :/ But hopefully this thread won't die off like all the others, and I can get her more involved.
Well, I never really mentioned a clan in her bio or anything. But her family were/are farmers that were former military/ready to step in if necessary. Not something I went into any detail with lol. (Though whenever I eventually revamp my older apps, I suppose it's something I could figure out).
Anyway... not sure if I missed your answer, or if I hadn't actually asked... but how much time will have passed between the listening post thing and the actual invasion? Just for reference when I post.

Can't answer your question, but I had an idea for how we get the thread going.
So, Ambria helped rally up some local support for the invasion. Ari is a quartermaster. We can set the beginning of the thread up as Ari bringing in weapons and armor for the locals. I think it would be logical for Ambria to kinda organize everyone together since the locals will know her and naturally look to her for orders. Ari will obviously defer to her knowledge she's gained from being on planet prior to the invasion, so we've got a pretty natural structure going. Sound good?

It could work. I had assumed when she had first went to train them, they had brought some weapons with them... but since that thread was never finished... I don't really know how it would have gone exactly, lol. Either way, I'm sure they could use more.

So I guess Seria would be up in the tower with the Governor and giving orders to her intelligence personnel. If you have any other plans for her Dutch let me know. Edit: She's a fair hand to hand fighter and OK with a blaster.

Yeah, true, haha. Probably just showing them how to use what they already had more effectively. [dunno if it matters, but here is a link to the original briefing from Bane, sending Ambria to Gargon to train up the Mandalorian 'rebels' - link; the actual thread didn't get far enough to even leave the transport ship... same with the second Gargon mission to take down the listening post] EDIT: Was doing some thinking of the NPCs I might use -- a couple of her best trainees from when she first went to Gargon a while back. So I threw up a couple names/expertises; if you'd prefer something else or have other ideas for what could be more useful, I'll take ideas. - Layek Turkel - human male - sharpshooter - Melyska - S'kytri female - aerial attacks/some demolitions

Well, the Colonel will be rallying the people Dedos collected to go take the fight to the Mandos. Especially Jedi. Seria won't be forced necessarily, but she may be ordered to join the response team, unless she could convince Col. Corunna that she'd be better utilized off the field. *shrug*

Sorry about being absent...been sort of a rough week of news lately. So yea. I"ll think about this a bit more but for the moment, wherever you need Thel I'll get him to go. Far as I can see, all seems fine to me in your plotting. Keep it up.

So I was just asking if there was anything you needed her to have done in that week's time. I guess I'll just make something up.

Yeah Mara, I don't think there's anything specific, so go with whatever works for you.
So from what I can tell, we're good with starting the thread with Abria and locals meeting up with Ari, Thel, and however many NPC mandos to get supplies distributed. Then we start our rampage toward the tower place, having fun and causing carnage along the way. Then we hit a stall when we come upon a walled off/gated/ or otherwise blocked area, where Corunna and friends will meet us in epic battle. We will have to figure out how to get around and/or through them. I believe that Ari will be particularly helpful in this. And then, the end result will be victorious mandalorians!
Sound good for everybody?
