(I'm sorry, but this is a filler post. Mal has nothing to do or say. literally.)
Mal sighed as he sat there in the little dip, telling any Mandalorian to hold still while his comrades moved forward and killed their enemies was like telling him to rip out his own heart. But it was necessary. Their chances of success dropped drastically if he went along with them.
So he waited...

((I'm afraid Zeth doesn't have much to say or do either here, so I'll have to do the same as Dire...))
Zeth took up a good position for backup behind a moss-covered boulder, watching the two other armor-clad figures fade from view, heading towards the bunker. He wondered why Mandalore hadn't chosen him to deal with it, as stealth was one of his specialties, but then again, he'd probably worked with the one's he'd sent out, and he knew he could trust in their abilities. Zeth would just have to get Mandalore to trust in his abilities too...

((Zark has been sick and is haveing a problem posting so Im going to get the ball going again.))
Solus'ad watched his Hud pip as the two coldly dispatched both soldiers in the bunker. It had been quick, and silent. Just as they had wanted. He had to admit to himself that this operation felt a bit like overkill with the amount of raw skill and power that was in this group of Mandos.
"Oya Mandos, shift your shebs." He said through his comms as he gave them the hand signal to move forward. "We have a base to take." He rushed forward to the bunker and halted, checking on Italia and Fable. They didn't seem any worse for wear.
He nodded to them both a well of pride swelling in his chest. He forced himself to quit smiling like some di'kut, and got them all moving again.
The cliff face was a lot closer to the bunker than he had thought. He signaled for cover and crawled forward on his belly to peer over the lip. The Base seemed like the maw of a Rancor, bristling with weapons positions. Just one problem. They were all facing the wrong way. "These di'kut couldn't stop a troop of Tortons from getting into their base." He said over his comms.
"Alright Mandos, secure lines." Solus'ad crawled back to them and found a large rock that would hold his weight. He pulled a small grapple attachment out of one of his hip bags and attached it to his right gauntlet. He ejected the hook and unfurled some excess line and wrapped the stone a couple times to make sure it was secure and waited for the rest to indicate readiness. "You remember our objectives, Jump on my command."

((just a note…there were three guys in there via Kie’s post ^_^ ))
There wasn’t a thing in the ‘verse Lia needed at that moment.
Soon as Fable had slipped in, she’d grabbed her gear and slunk in after her. She’d found the other soldier easily enough since Fable had taken care of the two at the back. All that was left was the gunner who had been just getting up to see why his partners had suddenly become so silent, when a gloved hand wrapped around his mouth and pulled left as another pressure hit the back of his head and pushed right. There was a wet snapping sound and he went limp in her arms, soon to be dropped to the floor like a discarded doll. Huffing into her helmet she nodded to Fable and headed back to the entrance of the small bunker.
As she stepped out into the light rain it may not have seemed like it, but Lia was just as disgusted by the sickening snapping as Fable had been with hers. She didn’t like killing…not really…and she tried to avoid it, but this happened to be a time when she just couldn’t avoid it. It was nothing against the man, and she didn’t even want to ponder him having had a family, but she didn’t like what was going on here…what the Republic was doing to her people…any more than the others did. It was in the midst of these thoughts that Sol appeared beside her.
As he nodded to them, she couldn’t help but grin a light chuckle escaping her as she saw his chest armor rise ever so slightly. No doubt he was grinning just about as idiotically as she was right now. Another snicker and she followed after him. When he signaled for cover, she headed to the nearest shrub…or was it a rock?...no, it was both…and ducked behind it, watching him slither his way toward the canyon’s edge. Taking the moment to scan her surroundings, green eyes worked to take in the area.
Of course there were the bunkers, settled behind them, and the half moon canyon before them that the base occupied. Scanning the feed from Sol’s cam, she noted the patches of light that pooled here and there, leaving barely enough shadow for the mandos to creep through between them. What was the most idiotic thing? Well, yes, there was the fact that all their weapons were facing AWAY from the cliff face, but really…the most idiotic thing was the fact that there was next to no light shining on or around the cliff or the base of the cliff. She’d spotted several spotlights atop the base and in the larger, man made, niches in the canyon walls further up, but they were either off, or pointed toward the front of the base.
They’re over confident in their rear defenses, aren’t they…
She mused quietly, and with no small amount of amusement in her voice. A large tree stood in the open area behind the base, to the left of the door and just behind one of their weapons positions. Guards patrolled the area casually, occasionally stopping to look around or talk to one another.
“Alright Mandos, secure lines.”
Lia blinked slightly and sighed. Over kill or not, jumping down without letting Fable take some of them out first was just a bad idea. She kept this thought to herself, reminding herself that she’d worked alone for quite some time now…she just had to get used to dealing with a group again. Solus’ad knew what he was doing, so she’d just have to trust him. Pulling her grapple from one of her belt pouches, she wound the line around the rock she’d been crouched behind, pulled out some excess feed, and clipped it securely to her belt. Why her belt? Well aside from the fact that her belt (this one anyway) was metal, she preferred to not have all her weight hanging from her arm or hindering her use of it should she need it. Checking that her rifle was safely secured behind her by her bandoleer, and that everything was in place, she nodded to herself.
Line secured.
Now all there was left to do was wait for the signal.
She didn’t like waiting.

Caazun stepped up to the cliff face and peered down indifferently. Everything was ready for their assault. All that was left was getting to the base, so naturally they had to descend the massive rock before them.
The colonel quickly took up his position and secured his safety hook in place around a tree, then stood at the edge of the cliff, waiting to receive the order to jump.

And so, Mal watched. He watched as the Mando'ade swept through the relativley tiny bunker, slaying the republic soldiers with the haste of a jai'galaar and the discretion of the ancient Taung shadow warriors. That was all he could do, due to his girth... it was a great gift at times, but at others it was a terrible curse. Like now, where he was forced to do the most unmandalorian thing possible: Watch as conflict occurs.
And then Mandalore ordered them to the cliffside, once the base was neutralized of course, and told them to secure their lines. He did just that... waiting for Mand'alor's order.

"They’re over confident in their rear defenses, aren’t they…"
"No kidding... You'd think they'd have some sort of decent defense pointing to their undefended backsides."
Zeth brought the schematics up again, studying them, memorizing as much as possible.
“Alright Mandos, secure lines.”
Zeth closed the schematics, then secured his line to a sturdy-looking bolder on the edge of the cliff. He tugged on it to test it. Satisfied, he waited for the order.
"Line secure."
The order came, and he started rappelling down the cliff.

New PO : Talau (Italia Firians/Solus'ad), Sait (Colonel Cazuun), Dire (Malak Kra'nelan), Bobert (Zeth Kor), Zark (Arkanos Phelan)
((to expedite this process so we can get the hell out of this I’m gonna do a lot of skipping, sorry all. So Dire, Zark, Bob, Sait....have fun killing stuff ^.~ ))
The replies came in swiftly, the team of mandos more than prepared to get down there and cause havoc among the unwitting Republic soldiers. A look to the right and to the left was given as Solus’ad crept back and secured his own line to a sturdy outcropping of rock before returning to the swiftly forming line of crouched mandos. ”Make the killing quiet mandos, we don’t want trouble…yet.” Another grin formed behind that helmet as he gave the signal and started down the cliff face. Of course they’d have trouble sooner or later…they were about to be in a base full of Republic soldiers, and they were Mandalorians! What mando didn’t enjoy a little trouble once in a while?
~~
Trouble had found them sure enough…the Anti-aircraft controls were giving Sol’s hacking codes a run for their money so Lia had removed herself from the growing amount of soldiers that had tried to pin them into the large room. Mal, Ark and the others had that covered…she was needed other places at the moment. Holstering her blaster, she trotted the distance to the panel Sol was struggling with, skidding to a stop beside him.
Told you those old codes were no good.
The woman was surprisingly chipper for the situation, her tone teasing him over the personal coms as she nudged him aside with a shoulder and sat down. He’d grumbled something about thinking up punishments for her when they got back to the ship and she waved him off with a chuckle as she hooked her datapad into the system and started watching the readouts scrolling through it.
You can do what you like later, for now, give me a hand…aren’t we on a time limit?
”We’ve got 2 minutes to get these defenses down.”
Gorram…okay…I can do that….I think.
The firefight behind her seemed to cause the little mando little worry as she worked to unravel the codes needed to discover the double pass code they had to have in order to shut down the defenses. Every once in a while she’d bark an order at Sol (hardly thinking anything of it) when she needed him to do something specific. He wasn’t incapable, so she left him to his own devices as he tried to shut down as many other of the base’s systems as he could from here.
”No pressure, Mandoika, but you can get these defenses down any time now…”
A frustrated growl was his only reply at first as she entered yet another line of code to slip into the layers of encoded defenses.
Got it! Sending to your gaunt, we have to enter them at the same ti…
She cut her words off as someone shouted a grenade warning. The clanking of it as it bounced into the room had her ducking slightly.
”Received.”
Enter it, then!
Three symbols into the pass code and the grenade went off, pushing her against the consol roughly and making her gasp slightly. Sol had weathered the explosion well enough, turning his face away from the blast and lifting an arm to better shield himself from anything that might come flying their direction. Luckily for them both, the Republic soldiers didn’t want to damage their own systems so the grenade hadn’t been thrown in far enough to really bother the two at the consol. A few harsh coughs escaped Lia as she worked to enter the rest of the pass code and ignore the sudden irritation in her lungs.
”Are you alright Lia?”
She lifted her head to blink at Solus’ad from behind her visor and nodded once.
Don’ worry ‘bout me…jus’ get that pass entered, eh? Ya can worry ‘bout me later.
If it hadn’t been such a critical time, if they’d been alone, he might have pressed her about it, but Sol simply nodded once and entered the code, nodding again when it was in. In a moment, two hands pressed two different entry buttons and slowly the lights of the panels began shutting down. With another nod of his head, Sol wedged a detonator between the two panels after setting it and headed for the others, his weapon out once more. For Lia it was a grab-n-go moment as she pulled her datapad free of the consol, followed by the wire, collected her other datapad and darted after him. Coming in close behind Sol, she replaced her items in her belt and pulled out her blaster, dislodging the empty pack and shoving a fresh one into place.
”Mandos, we’re on the move! Arkandos, Malak, make us a path! Let's Go!”
Italia let her hand rest heavily on Sol’s back as she grinned like some bloodthirsty maniac behind her visor. It was time to blow some things up! As he looked down at her, he chuckled a bit, grinning as well. He could only imagine the look on her face, but knowing her it would be fairly similar to his….they weren’t so very different from each other, after all.
