((I apologize for my absence from this thread... Busy life... Dangit, I DUN LIKE RL! I WANT TO LIVE IN THE INTERNETS! I'm going to go get xkcd's internet map and live here in the world wide web. ))
Daleb kept walking, searching with the Force for the assassins. It was difficult, however, because he felt a few dozen presences up ahead. A survivor-scavenger group, no doubt. It was difficult at first to find the assassins, but he narrowed his search by feeling for presences that felt different from the nervous, scared, hurried minds of the scavengers. He found them after a few moments. They were, like he had guessed, near the scavengers. Trying to hide in the crowds? he thought. No, they were too smart for that. Their presences felt like they were waiting. For me. They're going to ambush me, he realized. He kept walking.
After a while, he had reached a place where he could see the scavengers. He crouched behind a nearby junkpile, and looked between the pillars at the group. Their equipment was scattered about, ready to be picked up and carried away at a moment's notice. Definitely scavengers. He started walking towards them, intending to ask them if they had noticed any shadowy new people nearby. He walked past one of the pillars, and felt that prickling feeling run down his spine. Danger!
He dove.
