All that Rhissai could hear was her own breathing as she strode forward, one battered hand clutching the wound while the other swung and swayed with her movement. Each step brought with it another inch and almost more pain that she could bear. The cloth around her wound had shifted to a stark crimson and other parts were simply stained with red lines, but she kept moving.
Even with all of her prowess in the school of body, she found that her augmented strength was waining with each passing step. It grew harder to breathe with each passing second until she simply couldn't get enough air to fuel her body as she ordered it to run. "Its all a mind game, Ly. You can make it... its just another run. Just another run," she thought as her body screamed at her to stop and lay down, even if it would be her death.
So her will held out against her body, until the feet beneath her feet. At first she began to fall over, but her feet shot out to recover only to prolong the process. As one foot moved, the momentum kept pushing her forward causing her exhausted legs to be cast further and further out to catch her body, until finally she couldn't catch herself any longer. Her momentum threw her off of her feet, causing her to roll once before landing on her belly. Pain erupted around the rod as it was pushed back from her weight, making it all but impossible to recover.
Rhissai watched the world in horror as her eyes slowly slid shut, but she was so tired. Exhausted from the fight, weary from all of the killing and the death. Her eyes ignored her mind's frantic orders to stay up. The brilliant emerald hue dulling to a forest green just before her eyes were fully closed.

Boom
Kvothe ducked his head down under his arms when one of the massive supports that held the palace up collapsed in, tearing through the wall behind Rhissai and himself like it was paper. Dust filled the air. Little bits of debris flew this way and that, hurled like tiny bullets around the structure's interior as it entered its death throes. Chaotic could not even begin to describe the way things were going within the ailing palace.
Kvothe did not slow, though. His muscles burned from exertion, his breath came heavy, but he did not let up. Time was of the essence, and if they didn't make it out, they'd find themselves crushed and forgotten in the rubble. Maybe it wouldn't be for naught, since the Hutt was dead, and it seemed the demon would fall in a trap of her own creation, but the Rilan had absolutely no intent to die this day.
Gold streaked eyes looked up to Rhissai as Kvothe ran on. They were nearing the entrance now, but something was wrong. He could feel it in the Mythos. Why is she slowing down?
"Rhiss! Come on, you can make it!" The wound was getting to her. It had only been a matter of time, really; no one could keep running with a metal rod through them like that. Kvothe thought it spoke volumes about Rhissai's will that she had managed to make it that far. But as he watched her stumble and fall, almost in slow motion, he knew that her body could take no more.
He dropped down to his knees next to her, looking her over quickly. She was losing blood still, and if something wasn't done about it, she'd be in trouble. The Mythos screamed at Kvothe then and he looked up to see a beam falling down through the ceiling straight at them. A wave of his hand shunted it safely aside, to land near them with a floor-shaking thud.
Before he could do anything, they'd need to get out of the collapsing building. Until then, they were only in more danger. Kvothe tucked his staff under one of his arms and bent over, cradling Rhissai in both of his arms and then slowly standing to his feet. He ignored the sticky warmth of her blood getting onto his arms and hands and started to move. Now he moved more slowly than before, since he didn't want to run the risk of harming her further, but he moved as fast as he dared.
A moments and close calls with falling debris later had them outside the complex. Fas was waiting for them there, as were the bodies of the men they'd killed on the way in. Kvothe paid little attention to the dead and only clacked for Fas to follow with his tongue as he continued on back to the Masada. He could hear the screams and groaning of the once-great compound as it fell in on itself, but he didn't look back. They'd done what they came to do, and now there was no need.
---------------------------------------------------------
Kvothe strode into the small med bay onboard the Masada and set Rhissai down on a table. He laid her on her side, well aware of the rod that was sticking out of her back. Before he could try healing her, that would have to come out. With one hand, he held her still, and the fingers of the other wrapped around the bar. "Please forgive me for this, Rhissai," he said softly. Then he pulled it out, taking care to be as careful as he could. He set the thing down on a shelf next to him and took off his singular glove as he allowed Rhissai to lay flat on or back.
The blood on his hands and his sleeves went ignored as he reached out and put his hands on her stomach, drawing deeply on the Mythos. A soft blue light appeared around his hands as he did what he could to steep the flow of blood and ease the pain, but his ability to heal through the traditional methods was limited.
There was, however, a second option he had, one that was his by birthright. As he reached the limit of what he could do through the Mythos, Kvothe shifted the source that he drew his energy from. Now he poured his own life energy into Rhissai, willing the flesh and tissue within her to mend. The difference was noteable; while he could not afford to put all of his energy into her, he did as much as he dared. When he was done, the bleeding had stopped and the wound was smaller. He'd bought her some time. It was as much as he could do at the moment.
Kvothe felt lightheaded as he backed away from her. Even though he hadn't done as much as he could, he'd put a lot into her. He would have done more, but someone had to fly the ship; if he flew it after doing everything he could for her, when falling into the sleep that would come calling so quickly would be a sure death, they'd both be doomed.
He walked back up to the cockpit slowly, stumbling along the way. When he made it he settled his weary body into the pilots seat and took them off into the sky, back to Nar Shadaa, where this had all began.
Once he got Rhissai to a hospital and into the hands of medical personnel more qualified for helping her than he, he'd get himself some rest.
He think he deserved some after all the events of the past few days.
