I know, it's immature but ever since I got hold of the original raze I've nebver broke from it. So why not discuss the game series.
Games owned: Gold, Crystal, Ruby, Firered, Leafgreen, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl, Gale of Darkness XD, Battle Revolution.
Faves: Lucario, Blaziken, Espeon, Leafeon, Jolteon, Ratatta, Sandslash, Riolu, and a few others not able to be currently mentioned.

Wow... Pokemon, I remember that from years back.
I think Red was the only game of it I had. I collected the cards though, stopped when they brought out new sets or new cards or whatever.
my passion for it as a kid never went further than the first generation of it.

Haha, I played red back in the day, and just got pearl for DS. It's actually a lot of fun, simple story, and definitely worth the money as far as content goes.

I own Red, Blue, Green, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green, Emerald, Diamond, and Pearl. To go along with your faves thing, I'd have to go with: Kingler, Golduck, Starmie, Dewgong, Tentacruel, Cloyster, Gyarados, Empoleon, Clefable, Vulpix, Alakazam, Victreebell, Muk, Haunter, Mismagius, and Glaceon. Yeah, quite a long list, but I'd label Starmie as my absolute favorite of the group. And yes, most of them are from the original series, because I still believe to this day that no series has been better than the original.

Can't go wrong with Pokemon. I still like them but I've fallen off since the whole Gold/Silver thing. No idea about all the new Pokemon.

I like pokemon (games not the show) because they are still one of the funnest collecting rpg games. I played a lot of WC3 maps recently based on pokemon and some of them recreate the game nicely. I did like the show when I was younger but never got into it. I had the red version and later gold for gameboy.

Pokémon was definitely my favourite thing as a small child (I used to spend ages trying to work out whether I'd rather be Ash Ketchum or Harry Potter - yes, I was rather cool!).
I had Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver and the Pokémon Trading Card Game (all on gameboy colour).
However, I only ever really watched the first generation (and a few of the Johto ones). However, I have to admit that the new generations (watched by my brother) are really rather annoying, and it feels like the producers/writers (or whoever) are just milking the cash cow a little.

Anything after the original pokemon, and MAYBE gold/silver were stupid. Every pokemon just got lamer and lamer as time went on...

I agree with halm on this one, Red/Blue was BA, I still play them from time to time. I did kind of play gold a little bit, but I think that the series just jumped the shark after that.

I had all the versions except the more recent ones. I also had the Trading Card Game for the good o' Gameboy Color. Out of all the versions, my favorite ones were probably those of the second generation: Silver, Gold, and Crystal. Crystal brought in a whole new aspect of Pokemon versions with the whole "moving" Pokemon idea. Favorite Water Pokemon: Feraligatr, Fire: Charizard and various others.
I had a HUGE collection of Pokemon card games back in elementary school, but I don't know what happened to them. I thought I left them at my dad's somewhere but they disappeared. It sucked I used to have two or three cards that were almost unbeatable back in the day. xD

23, still delve into it occasionally. Never really got into the show, but the games own. Lesse, I've got Silver, Crystal, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen (haven't got a DS or I'd have the newer ones). Favorites are Feraligatr, Blaziken, Gyarados, Crobat, and I suppose Wailord. I used to have Ruby too, but it got lost. And yeah, that's my inner geek fix for the evening.

It was kinda funny how I was at a friend of mine's (Arheim) house and he found all his old Pokemon cards. We and two other friends started sorting them all out and put together customary decks and had a double battle.
Seeing as my friend didn't have a lot of fire types (my favorite type) I was pretty much screwed since they required a lot of energy cards and the two opposing decks were water Pokemon. But Arheim managed to win it all for us with his buffed up Grass-Pokemon. xD
