"It's pointless, you know. You've lost." The Prime Director said, a touch of amusement in his voice.
Neem pressed the knife closer to the man's throat and brought a thin drop of blood to the surface. That shut him up well enough. As the lift moved, Neem was silently cursing the incompetence he'd apparently surrounded himself with. How could his spies have been so stupid as to not notice a second Jedi? Surely they'd arrived on the planet together? Whatever excuses he received, it wouldn't matter. Heads would roll once this sorry mess was finished and he was settled as Nivek's new Prime Director. At least M'xael took care of the first Jedi.
Ding!
The doors opened and it was all Neem could do to keep his jaw from hitting the floor. There before him stood the first Jedi, a blaster drawn and aimed toward him. Instinctively, Neem moved so that the majority of his body was concealed behind his hostage. Allowing only one of his eyes to peek around the man's head, Neem practically hissed at the Jedi.
"Well, well, I was plannin' on chasing you up there, really. But if you just wanna hand yourself over, well that's just fine too."
"I don't think so Jedi." Neem replied, wiggling the knife slightly.
Just then, a number of Neem's men burst into the atrium from a door opposite the entrance. These men and the guards immediately burst into a firefight. A couple of his men, however, happened to catch sight of their employer and the undesirable situation he'd found himself in and made their way over, blasters trained on the Jedi.
"Now," said Neem, a confident smile spreading across his face. "You're going to step aside and I am going to leave. Step to it now, I'm a busy man."
