SWUcast is SWURP's next step in creating a more varied and exciting RP experience. The podcast is aimed at providing members with information, suggestions, and entertainment. Topics range from discussing important plot points to getting application tips from the mods. There will be guest speakers and questions that you, the members, want answered. We hope that with member support, we can make this podcast a recurring monthly(at least) event.

In case the thread title wasn't clear, this thread is for discussion of the SWUcast. Now what do I mean by 'discussion' , I'm glad you asked!

Basically I mean any comments you have about the podcast, any suggestions, and questions. It can be as simple as just saying you liked the cast, or maybe a suggestion about how you think we can improve it. We really would appreciate any sort of feedback that you have, this is a site project for the members, so we want to make it as entertaining and as enjoyable as we can.

Dun mean to be...well, mean, or anything, but I kinda found that Kella's outbursts were a little spazz-y and awkward. So, penguin, if you could take some horse tranquilizers next time, pl0x? =3

I was rather impressed how well it went. You guys showed how professional you really are and hence why your the folks in charge.

Personally, the outbursts made me laugh. Lightened the mood and kept me entertained for more. Good job guys ^_^ Remind me to try and join this epic stuff at some point.

The only thing I can suggest is a higher focus on goings on but that will come naturally as more are made.

I would definitely be into getting in on a podcast with Arh and talking about tech. Though to due reasons of weird family, I would rarely get the chance.

alright I finally got around and downloaded the SWUcast >:3

must say pretty good overall, congrats :3

this would be the things I found lacking or would like to mention

*The introduction was good, but I personally had some dificulty figuring out who was who at first >.> my suggestion would be that for the next swucast this would be done.

"Talker A: welcome to yadadadadad today i'm joined by B and C talker.
talker B: Hi im B
talker C: Hi im C "

That way those who are not familiar with the cast can know who is who at first. Silas was the only one who introduced himself so huuraay for him. although thats my suggestion, since I had some trouble distinguishing rugs and silas voice for a big part (theirvoicesbesomanly) :3

The other things are minor technical issues, like the sound quality varying from each speaker but I know you guys did over skype so pay no heed to the part of me that worked on a radio for a time >:3

also personally I thought those intermission music thingies where cut to short and it was a bit annoying and sudden, but thats just meeh.

Anyway for a first it was great! *karma for everyone*

I was highly entertained through this whole thing. ;D

And it was hugely informative. I think was a stellar idea, so thanks for taking the time to put something like this together. As a newbie, it is much appreciated.

My only suggestion was...as things progress...perhaps you might want to include a "highlight" section? For characters, particular threads, etc? Maybe even invite players (who also have skype) and do a mini interview?

Just thoughts to throw out there.

I enjoyed the banter and it's nice to be reminded that there's real people behind the admin/mods.

I think "commercial breaks" with quickly rattled off stock technologies would be good fun. I'd love to compile some.

*shrug* I don't know, just thought it would help add some reality (ha) and make a few laughs (ha). Might also be a good means to get more people using previously-made custom tech instead of clogging the section with more of it.

Just wanted to stop by and thank everyone for their feedback and positive responses. It is nice to hear that our effort didn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.

I've made a note of everyone's suggestions and hopefully can incorporate some of them.

Arh, if you are willing to record one or two of these short 'commercials' then you can do so and send them to me and I'll see about trying to get them in.

Also just a reminder, if anyone has a question for the 'ask a mod/staff' segment please PM me. Any other suggestions before we begin recording the 2nd SWUcast or welcome, so if you have something to say then please suggest it.

Some interesting things brought up on the latest SWUcast. If memory serves, the range of topics included:

• New custom species

• The battle for Ordo with the Republic against the Mandos and Sith

• Feminism in the Star Wars movie and gender portrayal on the site

• Whether or not the Sith are in fact evil and the nature of their code

Thoughts on the matters? Ideas for matters in the future?
