Jia went on the assault, it forced Vorxere to turn her attention to the young padawan, for she was vulnerable so long as she maintained the immense amount of lightning streaming from the fingertips of her left hand; while pressing her lightsaber between her thumb and the palm of her hand. To say the ire within Vorxere was building up within her would be an understatement to the largest degree. She was infuriated beyond reason, for all her planning and setting up, and the ambitions she desired to at last pass on to another--was quickly going to the way side.
The entire vessel suddenly rocked and jarred viciously from a disturbance from the outside. It only caused the tempo of Vorxere's rage to increase. She knew what it was, she could sense it--feel it, Elysis aboard Vorxere's flagship instigating utter chaos for no other reason than to cause it out of the fallen Jedi Master's whimsical nature. It did not matter how many soldiers were aboard her flagship, they would never find the likes of Elysis with her illusionary strength and the raw power of the dark side she can inflict upon key areas within the colossal Centurion-class vessel given the chance. All the more frustrating to Vorxere is if she ignores Rin and Jia to go after Elysis now, the chance to capture them again will be far more reduced; and worse yet, wounded as she is, she would not be able to stand against the likes of Elysis. Vorxere was stuck within her present situation. The Sith Lord was beginning to regret her impulsiveness for coming for the two Jedi upon learning of Elysis' capture of them.
With a swift backslash Vorxere parried one of the young Jedi's attacks. If anything--if Vorxere is to survive this, she knew she needed to get through the young padawan so she is no longer a distraction. Vorxere may not be a lightsaber duelist, but she could certainly out-match a young padawan. At this point Vorxere's intent was to leave the girl as a blood stained smear on the ground to slam Rin's face into to crush the last vestages of light within the young Watchman's soul.
As the young padawan with lightsaber above her head bringing it down upon Vorxere, the Sith Lord's left arm was stretching out in front of her to strike at the padawan's mid-section. But within a sudden motion of an object blurred by tremendous speed while coming out of a visual distortion in the air itself, while in mid-flight from leap enhanced by the Force. The blur slid between the padawan and the Sith Lord with blue flash of light slice through the air directly in front of Vorxere, cutting across her left forearm.
The Sith Lord's eyes widened as she saw her left hand holding onto her lightsaber part from her body leaving utterly defenseless. From her peripheral she could see the blurred object slow to a sudden halt proving to be Rin, while directly before her the bright blue blade of Jia's lightsaber slashed across Vorxere's chest delivering the mortal blow that sealed the Sith Lord's fate.
Vorxere staggered on her feet for a second or two,a nd within that time it took her a moment to process what exactly happened. But she figured it out by the time she fell limp to her knees. The moment Rin saw that Vorxere fully committed to removing Jia from the picture, she went into Force Camouflage, and waited for just the right moment to come between them. She knew that Vorxere was expecting her to try to strike her down, and thus anticipated what Rin would attempt to do to accomplish that. But, in all of Vorxere's pride, she never would have expected to be struck down by a lowly padawan, or that Rin would be so shrewd and even devious as to use a padawan as both a front and the proxy for accomplishing the final blow. Even striking at her indirectly from cover of Force Camouflage was something Vorxere anticipated, but not this--her pride simply did not allow her to account for Rin setting her up so that Jia could kill her. And there she stood with her lightsaber switched off looking just as surprised as Vorxere is now by her death.
A small, exhausted chuckle escaped from Vorxere's lips, "Surprising..."
Rin was silent for a second--the moment was not beyond her. There were rush of many feelings and the overwhelming flood of them hitting her all at once, it was more than she knew what exactly do with them. But the paramount feeling that begun to rise above them all was pity as she gazed upon Vorxere, "Acalya--"
Vorxere scoffed, "Tch... Acalya died a terrible death years ago as a little child, Rin... It simply took me a long time to find a name after she died..."
"I... understand...", Rin replied solemnly.
"I know..."
"It's not too late... you can become her again... an-and walk a--"
Vorxere smirked and looked up at Rin with gaze as if she were a loving mother looking upon her daughter one last time before she died, "I'm proud of you, Rin... but you need to let the dead rest in peace.", those crimson eyes of hers shifted to Jia, and smiled a little at the girl, "Ha... Elysis looked upon Qi with that same contemplation when he died by her hands...", her eyes grew heavy and drifted away. Her head slumped foreward as she died remaining on her knees.
Rin's breathing became heavy as it quickened just before cracking in that moment. Dropping to her own knees as her lightsaber fell out of her hands before she covered her face with them, a visage she shared strongly with Acalya. The young Watchman could not help it, restrain it, control it--she wept, holding nothing back in both her sorrow and relief. Relief in that in long last after a decade, the nightmare is finally over. But sorrow for now she is the last of her line, and the only other--her aunt who while a monster never truly wanted that fate to begin with--has now died in no small part due to Rin's own actions.
What was hurting her most of all was that it was Jia who it fell upon to end it for her. As she wept, she could not stop repeating with as much heartfelt earnestness, "Forgive me, Jia... please forgive me..."
