Getting started a day late has its consequences, however I do have good news. I'm about to send out two letters of diplomacy, and hopefully it'll turn some heads. It is as follows:
Sound convincing enough?

I too, have images to show my border plans. LinkAnd my path to get to my claimed star in our citadel of friendship and stuff. linkI don't think it's possible for me to get there without passing through some owned territory. I'll give whoever it concerns warning when that happens, so if you could get ships off of your claimed star so my 1-ship envoy can get there, it would be very much appreciated. Once the envoy's passed, you are obviously free to take the system back.

SIlas, you should write screenplays for soap operas. I love the bit about the knife against your back, *picks fingernails with dagger* totally convincing. As it is, I'm going to wait until this weekend to send my own "treaty" to maroon to try to get him to weaken the SA. This is mainly because I want to make sure we have enough frontal pressure to force action on their part, but also because I want to make the "collapsing empire" story more believeable. Speaking of which, I have a proposal regarding the Rugs/FZ border: with some number crunching Rugs' currently outlined border leaves very little room for FZ to expand. What I suggest is that once Rugs has moved his fleets through that path, FZ takes one or two of those systems back. Not only does this balance the distribution somewhat, it plays perfectly into my ploy with maroon. After all, Rugs and FZ are in a heated conflict. One that's tearing apart our brotherly alliance. This tiny swap of territories will make the story all the more convincing. Heck, you can do it several times if you feel like to even further bolster the illusion. In case you don't know the plan or it isn't clear, here is a nice simple outline: -I will contact maroon once our borders are sufficiently reinforced woefully lamenting the collapse of our once proud alliance and offer him the oppurtuity to help me strike against the backstabbing Rugs who tore down my lifeblood. I will give him range tech as a token of good will. -By giving maroon superior range without superior scanner, I am effectively improving his ability to leap before he looks. -Since Rugs and FZ will be at "war," Rugs' forces would of course be concentrated in holding the line against FZ, his South border will be (supposedly) entirely undefended. -More specifically Ain. Which will definately not be a massive bastion of defense when maroon's warfleet pops in. -The destruction of the maroon fleet upon the shores of this Omaha beach will be the signal for FULL INVASION. -The Pride of the Alliance supercarrier will begin its campaign as soon as the maroon fleet engages. -Rugs will counter-attack and hopefully gain a foothold to the south. -The Central Battle Front comprised of Logan and FZ will make their push. -With the pressure up on the main front, the SA will be all the more powerless to counter operation War Path--the supercarrier will tear through their unprotected flank. -Xinder will be devoting full resources to the technology we will need to blitzkrieg this war effort. - -Profit I've also worked out an arrangement of equal benefit for operation War Path. When a system is conquered, the conqueror immediately gains a bonus of $10 per level of economy on the planet which is then reset to 0. As I technically own the Pride, this bonus will go to me. Instead of hassling with profit cuts, I simply propose that a mixed group of "Honor Guards" follow in the path of the superfleet, taking the plundered territories as they see fit and preventing the SAs from effectively recolonizing. Also, Rugs' honor guard will be stationed at his Star Core embassy for obvious reasons of distance.

Furthermore, this little border confusion with Silas will actually help seal the deal. Seeing as it will appear that he is stealing a system from me and that I am pushing him back. (This of course depends on them not checking the ship tallies for our respective species) But anyways, I have labeled out some paths for you people to avoid confusion. If you want to take a different path, WARN ME. Let's not degrade into war over confusion. We'll only have war when we're bored. Which shouldn't happen until the SA are gone. NAMES ARE LINKS. SilasFZ (Note that both FZ and Rugs depend on travelling through Silas' territory. Should also support the crumbling empire facade.) And Rugs (I have no idea how you will get to the starting point, so I'm just letting you figure that out yourself.) UNITY

Things have actually changed a bit since I made that. But yeah, there will be a bit of system trading. An example that's about to happen is with Naos, since we didn't really communicate before we both tried to grab it. I took it, he has a fleet about to take it. My fleet left, his will leave, I retake it. From afar, looks like a spat over one system.
Same will happen with Fubur (or howevr its' spelled). I'm conceding it to him in a trade for Naos, but I'll take it first. Then he'll take it.

Sargas has been annihilated. I have sent a fair cut of the plunder to every Alliance member. The entire Fecalvermine race is soon to follow.
I have opened diplomatic relations with Kumiorava, the Blartsac Beast galactic diplomat in hope of having them weaken the borders of the Shugs. If they accept and progress is indeed made on their part, I will grant them low levels tech to keep their trust up to the point that our motives of betrayal are evident.
Here is my message:
Reanalysis of Species Merit
The last Northern Alliance council meeting has voted to declare your species a "Sub-Abomination," genetically, tactically, and technologically superior than your disgusting neighbors. It is for this reason that we are willing to entertain tactical relations with your kind in exhange for the marginal benefit you may add to shattering the front lines. As you have no doubt observed, the green-tinged Fecalvermine have nearly been eradicated from the galaxy under the combined might of Northern Alliance and the infestation of the Shugs.
What we offer is a temporary cessation in hostility in which we shall alter our war fleet's course to the West after green's destruction instead of continuing our Southern conquest resulting in your assured termination.
Your borders are strong, we wish not to incur losses needlessly striking against them. What we are essentially proposing is a privateering contract with your military. Draw the Shugs' defensive fleets away from the central front, and you will be compensated. Alliance technology is mighty.
-Arheim, Gluuk'Tahd Executive Diplomat of the Northern Alliance
I then promptly sent a similar message to the Fecalvermine:
Reanalysis of Species Merit
COMPLETELY USELESS

And, now that I've built up the fleet strength to do so, I have a fleet beginning to move toward the pentagon of friendship. It'll take a few days, and the route is shown here. Like I said earlier, there's not a way for me to get there without moving through territory that some of you own (Silas, mainly). As such, I'm trying to do this in as few jumps as possible. If you could move fleets away from the listed planets (you can see which in the list in the screenshot) so we can avoid mutual damage, that would be very much appreciated.

They refused and are about to attack one of my planets outside their scanner range (but in their jump range) that has twice as many ships as they do.
I can only assume that whatever you're doing on the Western front is intimidating, Rugs, because purple just diverted 2 war fleets from the Eastern one (where they would be very much needed if something else wasn't taking priority).

I'm invading with two fleets of 80 and 27 ships. Another of almost 60 is moving to that front as well
Fz has a massive fleet parked nearby, too. Gonna bring the pain. If any of you can hit purple on other sides to split their attention, it'd be welcome.

I sent this message within the game as well. There is much to be discussed.
Endgame
Brothers of the Alliance, these next hours see the end of two of the abominations that plague our deserved galaxy. The remaining SA, the maroon Blartsac Beasts have put into place a mighty war machine that will prove most troublesome to eliminate. However, we have proven that there is no force capable of surviving the continuous retribution of the North. Kumi will fall.
What happens then is regrettable.
It is the popular belief of our culture that there may only be chosen people of the galaxy and that it is we, the Gluuk'Tahd, who are deserved of this hallowed throne. It has been prophesized that a war between brothers in the inevitable end but we need not degrade ourselves to the level of thse we strove so diligently to purge. This will be a battle of sheer force of will, of honor, and of understanding. This shall be a conflict that will shatter the very heavens with its ferocity until when the dust of war clears, only a single victor remains.
It is the will of our council that the Star Core remain a symbol of our once proud Alliance and that no actions be made against any planet within it. Victory can be achieved without the loss of this wonder, and we bound our word of honor to this contract.[/i]
Incidently, GET YER FLEETS OVER THERE BEFORE XINDER BREAKS HIS CHAIN

I'm going back to sleep.

Stardate 44
This announcement is being transmitted throughout Polaron space. Today marks the end of our war against the Terratins. More than that, today marks a brilliant turning point in the time of our glorious Crabdad Legions.
Many citizens will look to the skies and see Gluuk'Tahd fleets in orbit. Do not be alarmed. They are there for your protection. Our honorable Patriarch has seen fit to allow the Gluuk'Tahd a more direct role in defending our peoples. Many of you are aware that we have been engaged in no secret of an alliance with the Gluuk'Tahd. They granted us protection in exchange for our technologies. This mutually beneficial arrangement fell through when the Terratin launched a direct attack upon our systems. The Patriarch requested Gluuk'Tahd aid. And they responded.
Citizens of Polaris will recall the devastating battle in the skies only hours ago. The Terratin attack struck our very core. But they did not succeed. Though we lost many ships in its defense (including the carrier Remorse and all claws stationed aboard), we did not falter. Admiral [untranslatable series of clicks and gurgles] of the flagship Melancholy fought bravely against the invaders, and proved to many young crustaceans that superior weapons cannot defeat our superior speed. Polaris never fell.
The Admiral and [his] soldiers will continue patrolling our space, though they will now serve a more ceremonial purpose with our new Gluuk'Tahd protectors in place.
Welcome our Gluuk'Tahd protectors with open arms. The war is over, and we have won.
-- Crabdad Archivist Legion, Year One of Gluuk'Tahd subjugation protection
