Yeah, I'm puttin this junk here D< Has major implications for the Jedi, at least, especially the Council. And if Jenno tells me to move it HE CAN JUST GET OVER IT I'll put it in plot discussion. So, what are we here for? Repost from the other thread: So there's the premise. There are still some things that need to be worked out--which is what this thread is for, in part--so it'll still be a little while before the thread itself is up. In the mean time, we can use this thread to work out some details, set up fights if wanted, etc, etc. And here's the roster, with links to PCs: [li] Darth Renata {Meira} [/li][li] Silas Isao {Silas} [/li][li] Nieraan Onin {Rugs} [/li][li]Socorro Noklon (NPC/Knight) {Thr33} [/li][li]Sunasin Li (NPC/Knight) {Resonate [/li][/ul] [li] Kaiven Te'Baas {The Kaivenchist} [/li][li] Sherasti Rin {lmr} [/li][li] Sellah Bellae {Kellaishleya} [/li][li] Elsie Therin {sparrow} [/li][li]Dyrall Krak (NPC/Master) {Sin} [/li][li]Mun Teeto (NPC/Knight) {Jaker} [/li][/ul] There will also be military NPCs on both sides. The Sith will have more, obviously, but the Jedi and their republic help aren't there to fight a full-on battle. Get in. Get the Councilor. Get out. That's the plan. But you know what they say about plans and battle and all that. Also, depending on how things go, we might let people split off into separate threads for fights, or if things start happening in different locations, just to keep things streamlined. Like we did for the Battle of Rhen Var. Cause eleven people in one thread is quite a lot. Anyway, there's probably more I should have in here, but I have a headache so I'll stop here. I'll update this post with more pertinent information as needed. Get to talkin, folks

Well, in the interests of doing some talking... Thr33 and myself are hoping to set up a little duel between my Jedi and his Sith NPC.
Apart from that, maybe it would be a good idea to subdivide into teams. IE, one team grab Kaiven and face opposition, the other defends the landing area or maybe tries to sabotage something. Also a good idea to keep to a strict posting order with so many people involved.

Hmm, I'm guessing you'd have two squads of Jedi. One would take down the security and carve an exit, while keeping it clear. While the other would be running in, grabbing the prisoner, then running out screaming high pitched with the siff lards waving their weapons of burning and death.

Perhaps after the strike team lands the fortress activates some AA guns and destroys the landed ship on tha pad, and while one force moves to free the Councilor, the other rushes to either destroy or disable all the guns so a new shuttle can arrive and pick them up.

Not bad ideas. Might make sense to have some people stay back at the LZ to make sure there's still a ship to get back to. And if we do split this into more than one thread, there's a nice clean way to break it off.
Sin and I have been talking about Nieraan and his NPC fighting. And lmr mentioned an encounter between Nieraan and Sherasti, so I guess there's that.
Also, about posting order, it's sometimes better to not have one with big threads. Because if someone vanishes or goes out of town, it kills the thread until people decide to skip or they come back. In the past what we've done is start with everyone getting a post in. Then it usually stays in that order, but as the action starts to develop, we allow a little bit of flex in when people can post. So, say, if you're in a fight and you have what you need to respond to, you can post. To a degree. Can't get carried away and post a whole bunch before the 'rotation' has gone, but you have a little bit more room. It's a bit hard to explain in words.
But for fights, that's where the possibility of breaking them off into separate threas comes in. It's not possible with eeeevery fight that happens, but if the two characters break off from everyone else, the option is there to have them do their thing separately and not have to worry about the other people involved. And then just rejoin the main thread once you're ready/able.

Cool so are we figuring that all NPCs will end up dying whether due to duels or shots from the soldiers, etc?

It's not required that an NPC die, but it's a possibility.
Also, Sin & Thr33, lmr and I were talking and thought we might do our two fights together, in a 2-on-2 battle. Would help set up something we're trying to work out for Nieraan and Sherasti. That sound good to you two?
Prepost Edit: Well, lmr just said he checked with y'all in the cbox so I guess so xD
That's one thing we can probably break off into its own thread when the time comes.

I will probably play my NPC realistic more than expendable. Meaning, I will not through him into death's vice but will cut down on how much 'luck' he has.
But we could always have the group bumping into the enemy and like one stays back for a bit to hold off the foe (a way for the duels to happen)

@rugs Yep that's the plan:) I figure the sith's duo will have a lot less teamwork than the Jedi's right? Also, is our two-on-two going to take place at the ship because Sherasti is guarding? I'm guessing the biggest battle will be with Darth Renata and Kaiven with his rescuers, right?

That's what I think. Unless you think that Sherasti would be sent for the rescue. Isn't Sherasti more of a younger knight?

Yes, she is younger. Sin's NPC is a master though, so it'll balance out any which way.
I do like the idea of them guarding the way out though.

I'd love to have an uber-epic Renata V Kaiven duel after he gets set free.
Meira, thoughts?

Battle in or around the hangar (or wherever the strike team touches down) sounds good. I don't know if they'd be all the way back at the Jedi LZ, but I can see Nieraan being one of those to defend by attacking and trying to cut the Jedi off from their way out.
So yeah, not a bad idea.

I'd be cool with Renata going up against Kaiven for a bit. But I think with the other Jedi and such coming in, Renata would likely hold back and send the lower ranked Sith in to fight before her. She's more of a "I only fight if I have to" kind of leader.
But yeah, we can do that.

Fringers aren't really involved, it's a matter between the Sith and the Jedi. Otherwise I'd have my GJ in the loop.

well i mean more along the lines of fringers being involved with getting the jedi behind sith blockades...etc. or sith having hired guns amongst their troops
