Rooftop Encounter (Teer Ka)[closed]

Tov stood in silence for moments. It was beginning apparent that Teer was getting annoyed by the Twi'lek. It wasn't that he was deliberately doing it on purpose, it was the fact that Master Ka was just stating the somethings he thought.

Glancing over at the the Jedi and bird duo, he was Teer stroking the bird. It was like they were one person. He could sense the bond between the bird and its master. The bond was one of the strongest things he had ever felt. Noticing the hawk getting restless he knew that it wanted to fly. Watching Master Ka send the predator soaring over head, Tova'nas watched for awhile.

His mind fell upon the latest question the Togruta asked. Was she trying to passively tell Tov that she was done talking. In the back of Tovs mind he wasn't done but he would take the kind gesture and take his leave.

"No Master, I have nothing else I wish to discuss. Also I must take my leave. I must go prepare for todays lesson. It was a pleasure meeting you Master Ka."

Tov said with a slight bow and closed his robes. Turn he made his way slowly back to the door that led him up the the roof. Descending the stairs he pondered everything that he had talked about with Teer Ka. Passing through the doorway at the bottom of the steps he made his way to his class room.

"Goodbye," Teer said as she placed her palms together and dipped her head in a slight bow from a seated position. A Togruta gesture of respectful greeting and departure.

She watched the Twi'lek disappear from the rooftop before finally looking away, back to the Senate building in the distance. Would all this still be standing in a thousand years? Two? Three? Or would it all collapse into ruin as civilization tumbled from the throne of the galaxy to be replaced by madness?

Soon it would no longer be her concern, which felt liberating.

The Togruta woman sat in silence for a long while, watching her bird soar and waiting until the creature was done to leave. Finally Ashla swooped down and landed on Teer's gauntlet, with the sudden impact she'd come to associate with such a landing.

Only then did Master Ka rise and begin to make her way back down the stairs and into the Temple proper. She was heedless of any looks she might have received from having a large bird of prey resting on her arm.

For her it was normal.
