Teer's nose crinkled in distaste at the site of the armed guards dressed for war, as if survival on Shili was some conflict to be fought and won through force of arms, through technology. She knew the ways of her people better than that.
Blaster rifles and grenades were not the way of Togruta. There was no respect for nature that way, no submission to the divine beauty in the trees and the soil. You could not tame Shili or bend it to your will. Fighting in such a way was antithetical.
"Send away your soldiers, this is no war," Teer commanded with a wave of her arm. "We fight as Jedi."
The distaste in Master Ka's richly accented voice was readily apparent, and it was quite clear the idea of using grenades and repeating blasters on wild creatures was enough to make her stomach turn. Her voice said everything that had to be known about her opinion.
It was up to her to plan how to engage the predators. That meant listing their assets.
She had a bow, Cassy had a bow, and they all had lightsabers. With proper use of the terrain... Yes, it could be done. Teer had a strategy in mind already, one she felt confident enough in to voice. Though it certainly had an element of danger.
"Knight Novos and I will climb trees with our bows and sabers. Your Padawan will lure them closer, at which point you will take him to safety. We will blind the beasts with arrows, and then we will drop down from above with our sabers and finish them off."
Honestly, Teer might have opted for spears had the circumstances been different and she had not been a Jedi. Mercifully lightsabers were close enough to melee weapons that she didn't feel shame or offense at their use.
How funny it was. Just a few months ago she might not have objected to the use of grenades and soldiers. But now, she was at one with the land and her people, and the idea of such methods was repugnant to her.
The Watchman produced a pair of arrows and an impressive longbow, a bracer already on her left arm. She said a word in Togruti and the bird on her shoulder took off and flew into the trees to wait.
"It is dangerous, but it is right. If you do not wish to participate, I will do it alone."

"I'm inclined to agree with Master Ka....there's no need to go raining down shots on Shili's wildlife; regardless of the situation." Cassy turned and smiled at Resaat who seemed to be getting nervous. She crossed to him and patted him on the back not so gently, but in a spirited manner. "No fear; right?!" she smirked at him, her bow slung across her chest; quiver loosely hanging with it.
Her white tank top was adjusted briefly with a trail of her hand before she calmly nodded to Master Ka in agreement without so much as a word; a single strand of brown hair slipping out of place across her face.
She would turn back then; to the young Togruta.
"We'll be counting on you to outrun these beasts for a good two hundred feet or so alone, up close and personal." Cassy's hazel green eyes waited on Resaat; as a small smile passed over her lips. She looked up into the blue skies as Master Ka's banshee bird took flight; for a moment the clouds placed her as she followed the animal visually, but then quickly blinked herself back to reality. "May the force protect you, your fear neglect you, and your ancestors protect you." she did a deep bow too Resaat and stood to him with a nod.
He'd have to set off alone while they made the prep for the ambush.
She waited for Master Teer Ka to make a move; while doing her usual Yoga like stretches while standing still every now and then.

Mal looked upon the two as they berated the over show of fire power. Little did they know that the soliders were going no where they were reading themselves for the retreat. Also they were going to protect the ship not the Jedi.
Mal mass started to shake violently with laughter a rupture of hutt gut busting hee haaing echoed from his massive lips. In he best basic and trying to gather his composure Mal spoke.
Never was it my intention to use the soliders and their weapons. .... Warriors think like warriors. Listen well my student to the first thoughts of ones who trust their sabers more. Teer I came here with the knowledge of that I have of the times of this planet. The akul being here is the test of my young ones skills. He is new yes but it's not always is it about weapons and killing. I wish him to use something more powerful and dangerous when weilded.....his mind.
Yes I like your diversion but the bait will not be my young togruta. They all ready have a liking to my scout droids. We three will draw their attention as Resaat using his skills to move from down wind to retrieve the crystals. Once he has them the ship will drop low over him and he will board it from there and make a return trip from the original lz. As for use three we shall diswade the akul from their hunger and return to their previous feast. This is plan I had no deaths no one hurt no danger of a young one to die.
Is it best master only to fight when the need calls for it. Life is life after all and all is connected to the force. So why hinder the life cycle of the force even if it is held with in the primal state, the primal force, as it were.
Mal smiled and removed a metal container from a bag at his side. Pumping a aplicator on the top he proceeded to spray his young one. The liquid spray had no scent and it also removed the smell of the togruta padawaan. Pointing to the map Mal showed the route.
Take this route and stay down wind stay calm and the liquid will work. If you get wet you'll have just minutes before your scent returns and the akul will smell you. Hopefully we'll have their full attention. May the force be with you.

The young Togruta sighed a relief when his Master said that he didn't have to be used as bait for the Akul. He was growing less fond of the older Togruta by the minute. She had a harsh way about her. Resaat stood listening to to his Master talk to them as they went on about the situation. The Padawan liked the plan of Mal the best.
Getting caught off guard by the mist form the liquid in the container that his Master had. Coughing a little, then taking a deep breath in not being able to smell himself. It had workers, maybe he'll get away with it. He knew the location of the cave that he was headed and now he knew a new path to take. He finally spoke to his Master.
"What if the Akul spot me? Also how do I get the crystal out of the rock?"
These were valid question that concerned the Togruta greatly. He was no match for the huge monsters. Surely he would be eaten by the huge male if they get a swift of him.

Teer Ka folded her red-skinned arms and gave the Hutt a look. It was the look she reserved for impudent Padawans and people who wasted her time. It was most distinctly not a pleasant gaze to be under, as anyone who had fallen victim to it before could testify.
Mal had proposed something far more dangerous, after having his guards come out armed in a misleading fashion. And he also called her by her first name.
The only people Teer allowed to refer to her on such a casual basis were her friends, of which there were very few, and those above her in the command structure. The Hutt Jedi was neither, and he was quite out of line in her book.
"Knight Konti, you will address me as Master Ka," She corrected him in a cold tone before she delved into the real substance, fixing an arrow onto her bow string as she talked.
"Your plan underestimates akul. They are not like kath hounds on Dantooine. Akul are aggressive and large, and they can destroy a whole village if they aren't stopped. They have a hunger, and this time of year it is never slated. Either you will kill it, or it will kill you. Backing down is weakness, and they do not embody that value. They fight to the death. Always."
The Togruta woman traced the teeth resting on her forehead, the elaborate headdress she'd had crafted years ago, made from the teeth of the akul that had killed her first Padawan. Yes, this was a foe she knew as well as she knew Dark Jedi.
You had to trust the warriors to fight.
"I can trust a Consular to be perpetually idealistic," She said drily, "But not to know about combat. This is my planet. I understand it. I know what you are so cavalier to face. One of them killed my first Padawan. I remember putting her mangled body onto a pyre. If you are so confident you can simply wave your hands and repel a pair of these predators, then I may have to prepare another pyre today."

Cassy listened as she took her bow off of her back; cradling it loosely in her hand; quiver filled to the brim with wooden arrows, feathered white, tipped with vibrasteel. She always kept her bow in her quarters; never traveled with it or brought it with her unless she was headed into an environment like Shili; one thick and lush, wild in every since of the word.
This was certainly the place.
A gut busted laugh from the Hutt came, as Cassy's expression curled into a nervous smile. Not truly knowing how to react. As the Hutt finished; Cassy didn't necessarily agree, nor disagree. But she did not however like the idea of Resaat wandering off alone through Akul territory in the wilderness.
"Ser Konti.....Master Ka....." Cassy barely spoke as Master Ka mentioned her padawan. Cassy's emotions welled and she couldn't take this conversation anymore; she'd only lost one person truly close too her as far as she knew Her Master; and the beautiful Twi'lek was gone, never too return. She needed to quell it, these feelings of loss. Her conviction, moving forward always helped. Moving on is what Master Shara would've wanted. From one moment too the next. Yes. Just move on.
"We should compromise." Cassy said only once. Looking between the Hutt and the Togruta.
"I'd like us to remember that we're in a clearing, surrounded by miles of forest in all directions. The moment we step back into it.....it's mid-day. They will likely come." Cassy stated in plain logic, cutting through the rifts of opinion.
"Resaat must obtain his instrument." Cassy referred of course to his lightsaber; it was just her chosen word of preference when speaking of the Jedi's weapon; for too her. That's exactly what it was. "And we must all remain safe...." two tasks; considering themselves surrounded by Akul infested woods. However she attempted to add some clarity too the situation.
"I believe that Resaat should stay with us obviously. If....you can get up into the trees with Master Ka and I?" she looked to Resaat with a small smile; attempting to be reassuring towards him in the midst of this. He was after all a Padawan, and above that, he was young. The wrong impression about the way the Jedi worked could not be allowed to be gleaned by him. "Come with us up into the trees as we fire upon the Akul with our arrows.......once they engage us...which they likely will by thundering up the trees; or just smacking one in half all together to bring us down....you use the Force with all your might to stay alive with Master Ka and I until we have their full attention...." Cassy finished with a nod "Once this happens....make your break for the direction of the caves.....the spray the Ser Konti used should keep you safe from other Akul....once we there deal with the Akul...we shall find you through the Force. she bowed in respect to both the Hutt, and Master Ka.
"Master Hutt, I believe you capable enough to remain out of sight until the Resaat makes his break for it....once he does; we'll likely need your support against the two Akul. Three on two were better odds in her mind.........especially with gigantic hulking orange beasts that would kill perhaps only a minor head tilt to warn you that it noticed you. "Unless.....we disagree again."
With that Cassy nocked an arrow into her bow swiftly; standing in a slight stance to her side her hips leaning as she did so.

Mal closed his eyes and delved deep into the force meditating upon the future events. Two paths lay ahead of him and those near both of the forward movements toward the crystals were and had dangers. One of a death of which he could not see, it was either of the beast or one of those at the lz. Sighing Mal resigned himself to the Will of the Force.
I do not agree in killing the beasts but what I've just seen any forward progression toward the crystals will take a life weither it be one fo the beasts or one of our own. I still don't like being set aside and letting my young one take the major risk. I was not put in charge of him to use him as bait, that is the way of the sith and the darkside. We shall draw them out Res you will get as colse as you can and run toward them and their ...... weapons. I shall draw the attention of one of the passing Akul. .... No words Master Ka I've lost to much already for anymore innocents to be hurt.
Mal waved his stump of his right hand. The visiable new growth of his hand was clearly seen from the previous loss. The reports of the break outs of hutt skin rot or a rahkgol like virus made him shake.
Res I know it will be hard but be mindful I will not let you get hurt even if it costs me my other hand or more. I shall clear your path to the akul. I and the force will be watching.
With that Mal slithered off into the jungle and disapeared with in a second or two. Mal moved silently as he could the jungle reminded him of the lower levels of Wookiee home world. Mal's senses were heighten he had lowered his mass by crawling of sorts. He was using a force bubble to gently move things silently away from him as he moved. Getting half way to the caves Mal slowed he lowered his presonce with in the force and pushed his senses to their max. He also lowered his breathing and let his body heat lower. Soon he was nothing more than a mound laying in the woods.
A small part of his telekinitic use he covered himself with dirt and leaf matter slowly by slowly he was turned into a mound at the base of a set of massive trees. Calling back through the force Mal echoed an all clear. He had hoped that the other two jedi would be mindful enough to protect Resaat while he was gone.

Resaat listen to the older Jedi bicker and complain over the different tactics that each of them wanted to take. Master Ka wanted to shoot them with a bow, but not kill them. Resaat thought, if they are shot with the arrow wouldn't they eventually die anyways. Then his Master wanted him to sneak passed them and then run passed the akul. His Master was contradicting himselves. Mal didn't want to use Res as bait but he was in a way.
Nodding to his Master as Konti slithered away and completely disappeared from the sense of the force and sight. Well out of the reach of the force for the Togruta Padawan. He wasn't verysupportive attuned with his force abilities as the other three. Resaat was nervous but he took his cloak off and set off toward the far side of the forrest down wind form the predators.
Sneaking along he got a good look at the beasts. They were huge and smelled horrible. Progressing forward he moved swiftly and cautiously through the trees. The young boy finally made it to the cave, peering around at the many color crystals. He spotted a bright purple on. Walking up to it, pulling on it with all his strength. After a couple good tugs it had came loose. Placing it in a pouch on his belt and saw the path Mal Konti had laid out for him.
Taking a deep breath he took off at a flat run. It was somewhat a straight shot back to the ship. Running as fast as he could passing past the beast. They had spotted him and took of after him. They were not as fast as he night they were but they kept up pretty well. Resaat as reached where his Master had hidden himself.

Teer sent a vicious glare at the Hutt. Contemptible, with insulting words, talking down to her. She was his superior, and she was his elder. It was his job to obey, to be commanded. She was the one who understood Shili, who understood fighting. This was her expertise, this was her battle, yet he had the audacity to pretend he knew better than her.
Such impudence.
He disappeared into the brush and Teer folded her arms and looked at Cassy, muttering something rude in Togruti under her breath, working hard to stifle her anger before she said anything to the human woman.
"Damned fool is going to get himself killed. I have half a mind to let him."
Red fingers stroked the laminate wood of her longbow before reaching back and touching the string, feeling the wax on it under her fingertips. She eyed the leather bracer on her left arm, and looked up into the trees for Ashla, finding the raptor and letting the sight of her pet assuage her.
Teer took in a deep breath and let it out slowly, the breathing turning into a heavy sigh. She promptly grabbed her quiver and slung it over her shoulder, at a very specific angle because of her wide third headtail.
"Come on, if we don't follow him he's sure to be killed."
The Togruta set off silently through the brush, a hunter in search of her quarry, approaching from downwind and not making a single sound. The arrow was fitted to the string, and a trio of her fingers rested on it.

Cassy sighed as the Hutt Knight decided that it was too risky to let Resaat be in harms way, he'd go on ahead to protect him.
Unwise.
If he was alone out there, the Akul would definitely eat him alive. He was big, and noticeable. He wasn't nimble enough by proxy to avoid any conflict if he was caught; still the Force was his ally and through the Force all things were possible....
Still Master Ka didn't agree. She hissed and let out auditory noises Cassy didn't understand. The Jedi Knight allowed her senses to sharpen, but her mind to relax. Master Ka was the Watchman of Shili, she shouldn't have been disobeyed in this circumstance. However, the Hutt didn't want to loose his Padawan, and Cassy respected that.
She stood juxtaposed, in her mind as Master Ka spoke to her.
A simple nod would be given, and a small smile as she still held her arrow nocked to the string of her bow. Her hair braided into an elegant longbraid, she set off behind Master Ka at a jog as it swung behind her.
She stepped with Master Teer Ka, in sync with every living thing around her through the Force. She stepped to Master Ka's left and right, like a slinking shadow behind her, eyes flecking around the brush and wilderness as birds cooed in the higher canopies.
The two markswomen continued their stealth like slink through the jungle, arrows nocked at the ready.
'A vivid roar', Cassy stopped dead in her tracks as the Jurassic like noise. The noise alone was enough to terrify her, as she used her sense of self too drive the fear into her stomach. It was like an all out scream of rage, combined with that of some kind of screech. She blinked the fear down as the noise continued to die down.
Everything fell silent again.....much quieter than it had been before the roar. The wildlife here was smart; she could practically feel everything stretching away from her position now. Smaller wildlife was scampering away.
She wondered if the Akul already had their scent or worse...had eyes on them. She didn't move an inch, just stood with her arrow nocked. Through her high level of life Force, she could feel the gigantic energies of life somewhere near her. However her Sensing wasn't good enough too pinpoint an exact location.
"They're definitely here Master Ka....they could be watching us." she said only once. Sweat had formed on her brow, and trailed down and around her body and wife beater as she stood in the mild-heat, unaffected by it due to the shade of the forest. Her hazel green eyes blinked, aware and calm.

Mal waited let the force gently and slowly flow through him in the same speed and grace that the other still life has flowing through them, with one minor difference. He was storing up power life a tree would store energy. He had fought a dark jedi who was a sentent tree, a Neti. Now he was using the storing of force energy for one manuover till his cover was blown.
With his senses stretched to the maxium limits he could feel his padawan's fear and hear his ragged breath as he ran for his life. Gently touching Resaat reasuring and giving him a bit of strenght to move faster Mal hoped all was for not. The akul he too could feel approaching steadily. The female was in the lead not caring where she was driving the slower male. She had blood lust in her nose. The death of even the male would not have phazed her.
Mal readied coiling a portion of his body. He could now feel Resaat even closer. The level of force power was getting harder for him to conseal yet not hard to contain. Then all to soon Resaat rushed by followed quickly by the female akul. It was Mal's time a split second before the male passed the hutt's head Mal's tail lashed out with enhance force power and speed. With the massive size and force enhancement the akul male had little notice nor way to dodge.
In the following noise of the rushing female a yelp and a crunch was heard. Though with the blood lust in her ears and the smell of her prey before her she did not slow nor hear her mate's leg snap and twist by a wicked slam from a hutt tail. With Mal throwing his cover from himself upon the male akul. On a single bound and a snap hiss Mal jumped, at the akul trying to slice open the belly of the akul. The result was his blade grazing the under belly of the beast.
The akul male rolled and turned upon the hutt. Lashing out with tooth and fang it was able to back Mal a bit. Mal had to draw it in Grabbing through the force Mal tugged upon the broken leg toward himself. A pained roar echoed and the hutt could feel it's rage and anger building blinding it's reasoning thoughts. Using a blast of destructive force power Mal made the ground before it explode kicking up dirt and rock into it's face.
Cowardly pup. Hairless wookiee. Bloody mynok.
Mal shouted insults at it trying to draw it in. Still the male was less blood thirsty. Force rushing, Mal ran forward stopping only a second to grab a downed tree log and twisting a telekinitic tug flinging it making the akul duck. While it's head was lowered Mal engaged his second stage of his saber swipping the blade at the beasts throat. The blade again grazed the beast, yet this time the cut was a surgical strike. The akul's blood slowly poured but not enough Mal had to get it's heart pumping. Using a massive destructive blast Mal unleashed a force lighting burst at it's chest.
The following crushing tail blow was at the broken leg. It did not hit for the akul clamped down upon Mal's tail. Instictively Mal curled up and grabbed hold upon it's head, left hand in the akul's eye his mouth. Both gave a muffled howl of pain. Mal used his right stump to force punch the beast in the open wound area. The akul thrashed letting Mal's sliming body fall from his mouth. A gentle twist the hutt spun a bit still holding upon the beasts ear. Into his blood covered left hand flew the saber and back into that same socket he plunged that double long blade to punch out the back of it's head.
Falling fully to the ground the beast and hutt one was dead the other nearly spent. Yet Mal had to go to his padawan. Gathering power quickly Mal rushed a thought through the force called the others of Resaat's possition and the Akul female's distance. Breathing heavily Mal gathered more power from the dying akul and the living force from around him then bolted after the female akul using his unique style of force running. Pushing off from the ground with each worble. He knew he would be slower yet if they could hold her off Resaat he would give the larger female something to focus upon.

The you Padawan blocked everything else out. All he focused on was getting back to the shop. He could feel the female gaining on him, he didn't have anything to defend himself with. If he did he would be not match for such a large beast.
Using the force to boost hehs speed, he did have much training in it. Though by doing so he did gain some distance on the Akul. His cloak and headtails flowed behind him as he darted in and out of the trees. He reached out with the force, he wasn't sensing anything except the orange monster behind him.
He had never been this scared in his life. Was every training session or mission going to be this dangerous with Master Konti? Resaat found trust in the Hutt but he found the Hutt Jedi a little on the odd side. The Togruta had finally reached were Master Ka and Knight Novos were.

The Padawan arrived, running at full speed, and for good reason. Teer had a very clear line of sight to an orange-furred beast ten feet tall, with slavering jaws about to overtake the boy.
For all the Hutt's idealistic drivel about not fighting and preserving life, this is the way it was. There were always vicious predators, and there were prey. Often the two overlapped. In order to survive, you had to become a predator yourself. To live, you had to be just as dangerous as the foe, if not more dangerous.
Teer Ka was dangerous. While she lacked enormous jaws lined with razor teeth, she was easily one of the most dangerous duelists in the whole of the Jedi Order. She was a predator, and she fought without the limitations of ideals. No honor, no fairplay. Only one could emerge victorious from the fight, and she had the absolute knowledge it had to be her.
Over forty force users were dead by her hand. That was proof enough she was a dangerous woman, but what she did next proved it as well.
Like lightning, Teer drew back her bowstring and released it, sending an arrow flying towards the akul's head. A quick adjustment with the Force, and it pierced the being's eye, and it let loose a roar that echoed throughout the forest.
Before the beast progressed further, Teer tossed her bow to the side and whipped out her lightsaber, igniting a single blade and sprinting for the large predator, coming in from the blind side and slicing across the rib cage before darting back as its enormous jaws spun around reflexively, snapping in a futile effort to crush her body.
The only safe and sure way to battle an akul was attrition. A stab here, a slash there, and the slow battle to sever tendons, cut through muscles, and immobilize the beast until critical wounds could be achieved. It was nothing like fighting some cocky Dark Jedi apprentice, where a feint and a quick maneuver could leave him a lifeless corpse.
This was actually hard. But this was Teer Ka's third akul, and she would add its teeth to her collection.
"Leave this to me!" She yelled to Cassy as she recoiled from another counterstrike.
This was a matter of pride.

Cassy stayed in stride close behind Master Ka, when she heard a barrage of movement. Resaat went darting through her vision up ahead, moving at a good clip. Soon afterward, she saw an Akul hot on his heels.
Apparently, the Hutt Jedi had taken care of one of the Akul, leaving the other one open to run down his Padawan, which it seemed to be doing with great efficiency. She fanned out at a jog from Master Ka as they both got within striking range with their weapons; Cassy planted her foot and twisted it into a firing stance as her bow string flew back a moment after Master Ka's.
She watched Master Ka's arrow path rip through the air and slam into the beasts eye, not a moment after Cassy's fingers began to loosen on her own arrow. But Master Ka's movements made her second guess her shot; the Master had done away with her bow and lit up her instrument.
In a few moments; she'd crossed the distance to the Akul and hit it across the rib cage with a sizzling slash. Cassy lowered her bow and slung it into her back with a frustrated toss, it landed across her chest perfectly as she began jogging at a diagonal angle to get closer to Master Ka and the giant predator.
It wasd then that Master Ka's words rang out, as Cassy neared it she'd been about to ignite her own saber and join in the fray, but again, Master Ka's actions made her second guess her movements. She flinched on the spot, but obeyed Master Ka. Her honor as a Jedi wouldn't allow her to disobey an order or a 'request' from a Master.
With a nod, she stayed back and strafed elegantly at a good distance from Master Ka and the Akul she was engaged with. Her hands clasped together into a foci position with two fingers pointing upward as a small blue shimmer began to outline her features. She stepped behind her leg each time in her wide strafes, although she moved with rhythm like a jog. Almost ballerina esque as she pranced about, remaining out of the conflict as requested...for now.

Mal moved through the jungle as fast as he could yet his strength was not top notch. So the affect was that he wasgrowing slower the further he went. Yet his senses were al ready there veiwing the battle on the whole. He watched as the togrutain Jedi master worked the beast. The closer he got the clearer and stronger his vision got.
Getting to the edge of the clearing he saw the three Jedi and the female akul. Signaling to his padawan he move toward him. Working around the outer perimeter Mal moved closer keeping an eye to the akul and the jedi blade master. With in the force he had heard earlier that she wanted the kill and for none to interfere. The least he could do was obey this one command, even if he had the energy to help. His main energy and focus in the force was just to keep him awake and keeping him going through crucitorn. Crucitorn had helped him many times in the past to push aside the pain, weakness, and the diminishing energy and focus in the force.
Finally getting near to Resaat Mal slumped.
Well .... after this I think we deserve a rest, and time for you to build your saber. Your courage served you well. Trust your feelings in the force and they will keep you moving forward. Not .... every thing has to end with blood, but there are those times when death is the out come. Remember to look to all out comes before choosing to kill.

The you Padawan passed the other Jedi, Cassy as she drew her saber. It was been a terrifying experience for the Togruta. He didn't ever want to do something like that ever again. Thought he knew being a Jedi he would be putting his life on the line many more times through out his life. But most of them would be against Dark Jedi and Sith and not beast and such. Turning around he saw Master Ka battling the monster.
Resaat thought that she was quiet impressive with her skills, but very arrogant in that she had ordered Knight Novos to remain back. He knew she had taken down a couple of the orange furred Akuls in the past but it wouldn't hurt to have some help. Turning his attention to his Master that was now heading toward him. He could see blood on his tail well would would be considered his tail. Also that he was very weak, as his master reached him Mal slumped. The Togruta Padawan ran to his Master.
"You ok Master? I got it!"
Resaat said as he held up the crystal. It was a bright purple color, the sun glimmered off of it. He heard humming of a saber as Teer continued to battle the beast. He was no match to help and Konti wasn't in any shape to take on a second one. He took in the words he heard his master speak nodding.
"Yes Master."

According to Togruta tradition, the hunter who slew an akul could wear its teeth, and the kill was doubly important if done alone. Teer was going to finish alone, and then she had the sole right to the teeth, to show off her conquest.
Further plans on what to do with the teeth would wait. There was a battle to fight.
The heavy tale swung back around and struck Teer in the side, sending her rolling off to the side, and the large beast darted toward her. However, the Togruta Jedi rolled out of the way and swung with her saber at the offending's creature's leg, buckling the knee and helping immobilize the creature.
Master Ka rolled under the creature, ignoring the pain in her side, and stabbed her blade deep through the ribcage, knowing the akul would have a tough time turning quickly due to the leg. It let out a roar, and as it turned its head, Teer rolled under it again, slashing out the other foreleg, and cutting it down.
The akul tumbled forward and Teer sprang onto its back, driving her blade through its neck and slashing it across the spine, paralyzing the beast. Then she progressed forward and stabbed it through the head, and the beast died.
Teer Ka deactivated her lightsaber and returned it to her belt, taking a deep breath and ignoring the sharp pain in her right side, which she guessed was due to a cracked rib. As a result, she kept her breathing short and light until she could tape it and return to some place for medical attention.
The Togruta woman took out a knife from her boot and a bag, and she started to cut the teeth free from the akul's jaw, letting them drop into the bag as she went. She was going to turn this one into a bracelet for her left arm.
When the required amount of teeth were pulled, Teer stepped back from the carcass and walked over to the rest of the group and looked at them all. Her dark eyes rested on the Padawan and she spoke to him.
"I hope you found your crystal."
