From the Ashes (TSG) | Story Event

Twenty hours into the invasion of Talusport, the capital city has been over run. Mandalorians fill the street, ferreting out the last of the Republic survivors. The streets are filled with the dead and dying, as well as Mandalorian execution squads. The invaders have fortified the capitol tower heavily, with no word on any survivors within.

Few Jedi remain, those who still live have been gathering as many survivors as possible to try and flee the planet.They stick to the shadows, desperately hoping not to be found by the Mandalorian hunters. The ruins of Talusport offer many hiding places, but with the spaceport blown from the sky any hope of leaving the planet lay in black market and private space faring vessels.

However the Mandalorian fleet still blockades the world, their relentless Fleet Commander shooting down any fleeing ships. A gallant Republic scout fleet has recently arrived to discover Gargon's fate, and attempt to offer aid. With this arrival, ships from Gargon have had a higher chance of breaking the blockade. Hundreds flee the sacked world, only a handful are able to punch through the space battle that has broken out. Barely able to stand against the Mandalorian fleet, the Republic tries to distract their enemy as long as possible in an attempt to save more civilians...

In Talusport itself, this thread focuses on the Republic survivors after The Sacking of Gargon. The goal is to get off planet, how they do it is up to ya'll.

The Republic fleet that arrived is doomed from the start, since it was meant for a recon mission and not a combat mission. Expect most of the fleet to be destroyed as they buy time for civilians to escape. How the actual battle goes, is up to ya'll though!

Well, looks like Xierra and Tov are the only Jedi in this thread... going up against Shannon Bralor.
(I imagine the Anthelion peeps will still be in space, doing their own thing.)


So any ideas, Res? Want to do a straight escape, or rescue some NPC Jedi on the way?






Also, random question -- How did the Jedi get here in the first place? Because if they were called to help once word of the invasion started, they wouldn't have gotten there time. Just wondering, so I can figure out a reason why Xierra is already on Gargon or whatever. Never mind, I think I've figured something out, lol.

It doesnt matter to me. Tov would want to save as many Jedi as possible. I'm not sure what Apillis has in mind for Shannon. But I'm willing to have Tov engage her in a battle.

I'm new to this whole main storyline stuff. I am really just along for the ride.

Oh, I can tell you from personal insight that it's not much of a mystery what Apillis will be doing. She's going to have Shannon Bralor fly around with Big Mama ((clicky)) and Big Grandmammy ((clicky)) and the rest of their kids and grandkids, and when she sees the Republic incoming fleet, she going to set about blowing up

Don't forget surviving civilians and soldiers! Wouldn't Jedi want to save as many innocents as possible?

And it's just as Apillis says. Bralor is the mando Fleet Commander, and will be running the mando side of the space battle at this part. Mara and Res, since no other mandos joined here (which is fine, considering this is supposed to be mostly focused on the 'pubs trying to flee the world) you'll face npc mandos.

When I start the thread, I'll be giving a taste of what the 'pubs are facing in Talusport :3

Well, there's gonna be kind of two things going on at once... so I imagine there would be an order with us/the Jedi/Max NPCs, and then one with the space battle/Shannon/the Anthelion.

Unless peeps want a more traditional posting order.

I'm pretty much not in this thread, was just dropping a 'setting the mood' post then letting ya'll have at.

I'd recommend the two sides of the thread posting one after the other though, just to keep cohesion.
