1. How many years ago *earth years* did star wars take place? If it trueley was a long long time ago what is currently going on now?
2. why was Anakin able to fall so far and land on a ship and look able to take lots of lightning while Mace windu could do neither?
3. Has anyone else noticed the names of Zaynes mother and father. Zayne had 4 other brothers and or sisters all unaccounted for. Names of parents were Arvan and Reiva. Breakdown
Re-iva Ar-van
Revan....It would make sense since they were relativly the same age and acted together when he was teh Revanchist

I'll try and answer 1 and 2 to the best of my knowledge...
1. I presume this to be a mystery, I've never heard anything of it compared to our years but I'd think it's a few thousand years off the Battle of Yavin considering how that's when they started dating in that manner, like us with BC/AD.
2. Mace Windu had his arm cut off, didn't expect to be hit with Force Lightning and also to be sent flying out of the window. I'm thinking you mean Anakin on Attack of the Clones? But he knew (using the Force) where the ship would be and timed his jump, he braced himself for the impact and was able to withstand it, Mace was likely less lucky considering he'd be in so much pain and shock.
Hope they help.

Well, i'll have a go at this.
1. yeah, i'm not sure we are supposed to know, They use different time measurements and i think a long time ago is accurate enough.
2. I think Jasen has that one nailed
3. I'm not so sure about that. i could be wrong, or mabey i'm right but i'm not convinced parents would name their child after a merging of their names. also, i'm pretty sure Revan was his sith lord name and not his real name.

Personally I believe Revan to be his real name, if it was just his Sith name then surely the Jedi would know the real name and would have mentioned it at some point?

Yes i thought about that, but there are two main reasons why i think they called him Revan. 1.He was pretty much a nobody before he was a sith lord and as soon as he acheived power he made himself well known by his menacing name, so jedi only knew him by that. 2.He was in an RPG game, so since the player is supposed to be Revan the developers got them to call him Revan for easeiness, which is the only real reason why the characters call him Revan.
Plus i wouldn't see why you'd use your real name as your sith lord name.

If I remember correctly, I read somewhere that he and Malak are the only known Sith to use their real names as their Sith names too, perhaps a sign that Revan didn't truly fall to the dark side, which he didn't, he just embraced it for the good of the galaxy.

Well, I'm not to sure. but I'm still not convinced he was named after a merging of his parents names.

Malak was actually a Sith name, as Malak's birth name was Alek Popadoolyhoo or something along those lines.
If Malak adopted a Sith title, could it not be assumed that Revan, the stronger, and clearly more Dark-side savvy of the two, would also adopt a Sith title?

Ah, I remember now. I still feel that Revan kept his real name as the Sith name, but we may never know unless it states in a possible 3rd KotOR game.

Revan's real name was whatever the player chose for KOTOR to be their player name. There is no cannon name for Revan, and never will be. Current cannon does however point Revan out as a male.
A character born of an RPG will be missing some canon elements due to the open ended nature of the situation, hence why 'Revan' was used as his name throughout the cannon universe.

My view is that "real name" was created for him by the Jedi...

Honestly, Mace's death was never confirmed. We saw his hand get cut off and fall into obscurity. True, he was knocked back by Sidious' lightning, but that is still one of the least fatal things to have happen to a Jedi. Hell, if you replace the lightning with a monologue about Obi-Wan not telling him (etc.) you get what happens to Luke in The Empire Strikes Back.
