Xavier stood in silence as time slowly passed by, he was acustomed to waiting and patience was the secret weapon to becoming stronger in the force. The words from Grawn slithered into his mind like a snake through the grass. Xavier slowly looked towards Grawn who was perched upon a pillar. Still he remained silent, just staring at Grawn for a moment with his eyes that could tell a thousand stories.
"So be it.." He simply replied before returning to his original pose looking dead head. "If you get in my way.. i will crush you" he also added shortly afterwards, he was usually a calm person but not this day.. his fuse was short, his eagerness to face off against the jedi at a high, his sense heightened.. he was ready and he knew the time was drawing to a close.

Daren thought deeply about what Xavier said then responded, "There is much knowledge in the galaxy and I seek much of it." Daren then looked into his master's eyes, "What you speak of maybe something I seek, but I do not see it as that at this time." He then turned to the ship, "Where do I fit into this?" Daren focused on his master intently but made sure not to pry into his mind. He would await a spoken answer. "You came all this way for me." he noticed his master tense and turn towards Grawn. Daren heard a faint whisper in the wind but nothing clear. He turned to his master again awaiting an answer to his question.

Xavier looked towards Daren for a moment before looking back to the tombs. "The will of the force ledme here to find you..i don't know the reasons behind the method of the force.." Xavier explained to Daren "Perhaps the force wishes for you to learn to control it for it has seen a great future ahead of you...one can only speculate"
Xavier started to pace back and forth in contemplation "There is a war on the horizon..you will be informed on who it is soon enough.. we need as many followers of the dark arts as possible, only those who are strong enough..you are strong enough .. and i shall send you along a greater path than you currently walk."

"A path is what I have seeked." Daren said with a smirk. He walked with his master but not to closely, "I have felt a disturbance in the force for some time. I believe it is this war you speak of. Much Discussion on it is required on my part. I have been left in the Dark for many years. When I left the Jedi the ones calling themselves Sith's had started to rise in power. Where the galaxy stands now I know little of." He wondered if he should mention his father...but decided not to for his protection. The less Xavier knew of Daren's attachments the better. He burried everything of his father deep in his mind. Then turning back to his master, "I will follow the guide of the force my master." A Dark Jedi Daren maybe but he would not allign himself with anything unless he agreed with it totally and that included the Force. He felt Xavier was his first step on his journey of the Force. He needed more power to search for his true objective...

Post by Grawn on Nov 18, 2008 16:23:19 GMT -5
The Dark Ones voice boomed with his reply in his head, Grawn winced slightly behind his mask from the slight pain. He was powerful, their was no doubt that the man could do as he had threatened but Grawn was satisfited with it. Someday, he would have power, power enough to reshape this corrupt galaxy in a rightful image and their would be no being that would stop him, not the Jedi, nor some dark man in gothic armor.
But for now, he would wait. He thirsted for revenge on the pathetic insect that had defeated him on Coruscant. Grawn growled quietly as the Jedi's image came to his mind and the Dark Jedi could only imagine with sweet delight the sound of the Jedi's breaking neck as his gloved hand squeezed mercilessly.
Of course...there was a chance the foolish Jedi would get themselves killed within the tombs, but that was hardly an option. He had sensed their powers, Grawn had little doubt they could get through the Sith trap.
Unscathed by it, however, was another story.

It took Cassandra a while, but wandering around aimlessly, she finally felt the warmth of the presence of others around her. The winds and sands that they whipped up were an obstacle, but not one that would affect her too terribly.
She could feel them, Xavier, Tesa, the others that were around them, and approaching in silence, she stepped behind the Duo that she traveled with and sighed, popping her neck brusquely.
What's the story then?

Xavier nodded to cassandra before looking to Daren. "This is Daren.. he is strong in the force and will be accomponying us on our travels."
Xavier then proceeded to talk to Daren "This is Cassandra, she is a seer.. she is a great ally and should be treated with respect." Xavier nodded

Daren bowed before Cassandra and looked up to her, “And what may I call you?” Daren then turned back to his master, “The Jedi are going to be here soon. What do you see?” Daren awaited her answer if any was to come. Daren turned his own attention to the caves, he wasn’t ready alone to face these Jedi but with them it would be no problem whatsoever if it came to that. His master’s plans would unfold itself went they arrived. Daren still found himself interested in the War to come. He was anxious to fight but more anxious to learn. He wanted to be at the head of this war or at least near it. He wanted to be as powerful as the Master’s before him. He would never betray them though, if they held up their end of the bargain.

Tesa’s little smile faded away, becoming as dark as the shadows that covered her face. Damn it to the lowliest stretches of a planet’s core. Where had she gone wrong? Tesa shot a quick glance behind her, marking the path she had just taken with on eye, the other withheld of vision by the side of her hood. Some stretches of sunlight between shadows, but nothing too large Tesa hadn’t believed herself unable to handle.
Her palms under her shoulders, keeping her body from touching Korriban’s orange scarlet dirt from painting her gray attire a color she didn’t want, Tesa pushed herself upward as if to do a series of pushups. One foot before the other, she stood and fingered off invisible dirt. The broken stone was cracked around where her head was, including a fraction of her shoulder obscured in the grayish cloak.
“Well, I thought I was doing just fine,” she shot at Xavier. Tesa walked slowly, at a leisured pace, around the stone she had masked herself behind. Stopping, she struck an elbow to the stone, leaning heavily on if and hooking her right toe over the left. “And I also think that you knew just how tasteful Korriban is to the sixth sense. I suppose you haven’t seen just how thick the Force is through my veins. The lure of this planet is almost too… unbearable.”
She tipped her head to the side, her expression unreadable beneath the cowl. Tesa already knew there were consequences to pay; the subtle thoughts had already made their appearance to her mind. In the end, however, she was willing to accept whatever they may be.
Her hand patted the stone. Tesa stepped from it, glancing it over in some feigned interest before mounting herself atop of it. A twist of her ankle brought her back around to face the tomb’s entrance and give her a view of her lord and the man. Beneath the cowl, her paled eyes glared at the young man. She’d heard his voice once, noted his position, and already didn’t like him.
Left foot over right, Tesa dropped, her legs crossing in her descent. She retained her distance but never let her eyes wander beyond the males and the tomb’s entrance. Her elbow dug into her knee and her cheek was welded to her palm as she gave the appearance of patience.
And all the while assessed exactly what other Dark Jedi around her were: the activity within the tomb.

Xavier looked to Tesa for a brief moment before commenting "Do not get any sense of grandure...every dark force user gains the same boostfrom this planets darkness." Xavier returned to his normal pose, standing still waiting for the jed. He took this time to close his eyes and meditate.
As he meditated his memories started to surface, it was like a haze.. in his memory he stood exactly in the same place as he stood in reality, in the now.. but this was different, everything had a golden glow around it. what was its purpose? was it a vision? or just a dormant memory triggered due to the force and him spending many years on Korriban learning the dark arts?
A young looking Dark Jedi master would spend many a day sat in the middle of the valley taking in the aura of the lond dead sith lords, it was like an addiction.. she could feel the waves of the force flowing from one temple to another. This place held great power and she knew with her new apprentice she could try to uncover the secrets laid deep with in.
"Xavier.." she commanded, Xavier at this point was in his early 20's.. long jet black hair and a small stylish goatee to match, he was a beautiful young man until the force corrupted him. ".. You have always been naturally gifted with telepathy and together over time, we shall grow more powerful.."
"Of course Master Vash...." Xavier replied. He was young, brash and all too eager, just like his current apprentice.. craving more power day by day but lack the capacity to wield it succesfully. [/color] Xavier opened his eyes as he shook his head slightly, "Stay out of my head vash.. i surpassed you long ago" he thought to himself.

During a small break in the fight Ryn looked down at the corpses of his comrades, the anger and hatred flow through his veins. It was that instant that he heard a faint whisper in his ear "Good, good, I can feel the anger within you. Use it to destroy Grawn and complete your task." Ryn paid no heed to the voice, but he did attack the Dark Jedi with renewed vigor, and Grawn grew sloth, and now he was not nearly as powerful or fast.
Ryn then sent a flurry of swipes at the exhausted Dark Jedi, who barely managed to block them. Suddenly, Ryn activated the other end of his lightsaber and cut Grawn's arm of at the shoulder. The evil voice then returned "Yes! kill the whelp! Extinguish the life of the one that killed your friends and your journey to the Dark Side will be complete!" Ryn brought the tip of the indigo blade up to the Dark Jedi's neck; Ryn had a look of pure malice and hatred in his eyes. Sundar pulled the lightsaber back, and prepared to kill the evil man. Just before the young knight let his blade fall memories of his fallen master dieing at the hands of a Dark Knight flooded his mind.
If he killed this man he would become a part of what killed his master, and indirectly his friend and former love interest. He would not. . . . he could not. . . .let that happen. Ryn deactivated his lightsaber and confiscated the Dark Jedi’s former lightsaber, just to ensure that he would not get his leg lobbed off. The voice again came back, only this time is more of a yell than a whisper “Cur! You Jedi are blandly predictable! If you killed that man I would have made you more powerful than even the great Vreem Took or Eris could ever hope to be!” The voice paused, and then changed to a more calm and collected tone of voice “Now, puny Jedi, you. . . will. . . die.”
Ryn instantly leaped forward, narrowly missing the angry red blade of the old-and-dead Sith Lord. Sundar hoped back up to his feat and dropped an unorthodox version of the well known Juyo stance. The undefined form of a man stood there, holding a lightsaber, but instead of attacking he simply faded away into nothing. Ryn then examined the corpses of his slain comrades, only to discover that they were gone. There was no evidence to even suggest that they were there at all: There was no blood, even though a lightsaber cauterizes a wound, when you behead someone with it there will still be blood, maybe not much, but there will be blood. There were not even imprints in the rust colored sand that they were there.
This troubled him.
Ryn sat down, his legs crossing on the decent, and meditate on the disturbing revelations. He found it hard to find any information, because every time he was about to discover some unknown fact the voice would whisper softly in his ear. “Your friends are dead. You killed them.” Finally, after what felt like a week, Ryn noticed something; he was not hungry, nor was he tired or thirsty. Something was else was not right, he felt a beckoning down the corridor, an urge to go an discover what was at the heart of the tomb.
Ryn followed his instincts, and after following the long, snaking corridor to the end, he walked through a huge archway that led into an equally massive giant circular room. In the center of that room he saw a sarcophagus; he quickly walked over to it and attempted to open the coffin. But all of his efforts were in vain, for the sarcophagus seemed to be welded shut. Just as Ryn unclipped his lightsaber from his belt and activated he heard the commanding voice of the Sith Lord behind him “I would not do that if I were you…”
Ryn turned around to see his former master, holding a red lightsaber.
(consider this part two of three)

Replying to Xavier's comments after several minutes of thinking, Cassandra smirked as she sat on the ground, unwrapping her hand, which had ceased it's bleeding, and Rewrapping the, now bloodstained, silk around her face, covering the orifices where her eyes should have been. Dibs on the cute, tall one she said, her voice oddly chipper, as though the thought of more carnage and increased chaos around her gave her greater joy then a Mynock on a power cable.
Humming to herself, she allowed her mind's eye to wander, to gaze upon the Jedi within the Archaic Temple, fighting off the traps and trying to banish their own fears of Failure and disgust at themselves. Hearing Daren's Question, she cast her face at him and used the Force to study his form as well, the Scars and Dark hair easily visible to her, as well as his proficiency in the Force itself.
As a result of her Examinations, it took several moments for Cassandra to reply to the other Dark Jedi's request for What to call her. Cassandra works she said, her voice containing barely-hidden mirth at her next few words. Or Cassie, Crazy *Insert word for Female Dog in Heat*, Kiddo, whatever really...I don't have a name preference, and If I could change my name, it'd be to something completely unpronounceable... like Dxitch Wixxdlebarfx she added, creating a random string of letters for the last one.
Smirking, she set her staff on her lap and began to hum softly, the tune an old Correllian Lullaby as she played with the sand beneath her legs. Pausing in her song, she cast her face towards Xavier, then Tesa. Really, you two should lighten up some more...Between His moping and your Seriousness, I'm starting to feel like the only lunatic in our little family...

Daren couldn't help but smile from the display before him, "Forgive me Cassandra." Daren finally did laugh but quickly cut it off. He looked around suddenly but couldn't find what he had sensed again. He turned to Xavier, "Is it the other you spoke of Tesa?" Daren returend to his looking around. "I would much like to meet her as well." Daren felt a strange sense of eagerness to meet the last member of the Dark Trio he had made a Quartet. He felt out with the force but found nothing.

Xavier looked to Cassandra for a brief moment before replying "My madness is not as obvious as yours..but it is there none the less" HE smiled from under his helmet before looking back to Daren. "Tesa is here.. she is light footed and tends to hide it seems, don't always rely on the force... use your eyes comrade." Xavier nodded
"The libertas clan have always been struck with some sort of affliction. but it makes us so much stronger because of it.." Xavier took out his other lightsaberand looked at it for a moment before shaking his head and clipping back on his belt. "With this up and coming war.. i shall need to build a new lightsaber.." Xavier fell silent as he thought about his options.

"As should I." Daren said looking around the wasteland, "It's efficant but could be much better." He spotted her from a distance then turned back to his master, "I know little of the conflict. What do you plan to do?" Daren didn't like having to ask all these questions but his search for knowledge always prevailed. He would rather ask a question than speak foolishly.

Xavier with out missing a beat replied confidently "I intend to keep the alliance intact and not be a fool by trying to stab said party in the back.. there would be no gain from it as i would be outnumbered.. jsut because i am a Dark Lord.. doesn't mean i don't have patience..." Xavier nodded before returning to pacing up and down.
"the path of instant gratification is the path of the idiocy... i have no time for fools and those who suffer from grandure." Xavier stated in a firm yet clear manner.

Daren nodded he kept simlar ideas himself. He embraced the planet's power again, senseing the Jedi's arrival drawing closer. He then turned to his master,
"We shall wait for the Galaxy to move, maybe as it moves we shall find a crack to slip into." Daren smiled at the thought,
"And create a chasm..." Daren had long wanted to be in a position of power. But he was no fool. He understood that it took time and if he wanted long lasting influence it would take long work. Xavier seemed to be heading in the right direction and this assured he was correct in his assumptions of waiting. He felt a strange urge to test his master but knew it was just the planet's power playing tricks with his mind. He erased the thoughts from his mind and went back to absorbing the planet's power. The path to true power lied in waiting and absorbing your surrounds...and changing them.

"yes it would be wise to discard those thoughts of trying to strike me down..you will only fail." Xavier looked to Daren slowly, not judging him in the slightest.. more entertaining than anything for Xavier knew the tricks the valley plays on the mind for he had been played for a fool many years prior when he was still an acolyte to the dark arts.
"Conserve your strenght and anger... you will need it soon enough." Xavier returned to his original pose still waiting pateintly for the jedi, they were taking their time, he knew they would be weakened... which worked well for Xavier.

Daren wasn't surprised Xavier had sensed the thought. He was happy someone with such power will be a great teacher. He did as he asked of him and cleared his mind. He felt the holocron in his cloak and decided to not mention it now. He meditated quietly the Jedi were taking a long time. Where they dead? No...daren could still feel them. He looked to Grawn again and hoped he wouldn't interphere but he knew Grawn would. They should probably let him do as he willed and wait for him to be done with them. The wind of the valley started to pick up and Daren rose his hood to block the sand from his eyes. He remained calm and inngored the strong winds as his cloak flapped violently.

“Grandeur? You think that I believe I’m under the influence of some ‘grandeur’?” Tesa let out a sharp bark taking the disguise as a sudden, short laugh. Her head was thrown back and her hood pulled back some, giving off the grin that pasted the lower half of her face. “I don’t think in terms of grandeur, Master. I merely stated I know myself to be strong in the Force and that Korriban is a lush feeding ground for my abilities. I’m not brain-dead.”
She made no move to pull the cloak’s hood forward. Her hands tapped at the hard stone beneath her and then scraped at it like some feline: her arms stretching before her and she rolled her spine back. Her fingers hooked onto her ankles and she started a slow rocking motion.
“My lady Cassandra, Master Xavier is correct on the fact that I hide my feelings. My emotions hardly scatter themselves to the world unless I bid them to. It’s a little trick that has given my life back to me on several occasions.” Tesa paused for a moment to tap her long sharpened nails against her lower lip as she shot the trio to her right a brief glance. “Occasions in the sense I should already been dead, no considering it.”
She smiled again. “And I take light footedness as a compliment.
“That is beside the point. No, feelings are only a tool that I utilize when I need it most,” she continued to rock steadily, one hand still firmly grasped on her ankles. “I however cannot help but feel giddy at this moment. Power certainly does corrupt ones intentions, doesn’t it?”
And immediately Tesa halted her rocking motion and unfurled from her cross-legged position. Instead of holding her legs together her hand snaked underneath the cowl and scratched at the side of her head. The wind began to pick up and with her exiting hand, she drew the hood a little further along her face. The sound of wind whistled in ears and Tesa used the obscuring haze of the blowing sand and sound to her advantage. Slipping from her perch, the young lady walked quickly around her pacing master to approach Daren from behind him and to the opposite side of which she had been in view of. This meant she had been to the left of Daren, and now lingered to his right.
“So… who exactly are you and why do you have particular interests in my lord?”
